The encyclopedia shows that Toyokawa Shoko is 24 years old, graduated from a prestigious university, and holds multiple doctoral degrees. Chuhua finds it a little hard to accept this. She always feels as if there is a thick barrier between her and her. Although Chuhua also knows that although she and Toyokawa Shoko next to her are not far apart physically, a parallel universe runs between their hearts.
However, this can explain a lot of things, such as the physical abnormalities of Xiangzi and herself, which is obviously because they are no longer 16-year-old JKs, but 24-year-old OLs.
But from what Xiangzi had said before, it seemed like he had just started working. He wondered what kind of work Xiangzi would assign him. Chuhua thought about it, and suddenly a sudden realization struck him. The most urgent thing now should be to find a way back. How could he let Xiangzi distract him and forget about his work?
Chu Hua recalled what happened last night. Since it was certain that he had traveled through a parallel universe, and the problem lay with the gem he picked up from Doctor Octopus, then as long as he found the gem, he should know how to go back.
Chu Hua had already guessed what that strange red gem was. She had heard of the rumor about the boundary-breaking gem, but she had always thought it was just a rumor. She didn't expect that she would actually encounter the real thing.
After finding the boundary-breaking gem, returning to his own universe, and returning to Xiaoxiang's side, Chuhua established his next goal and made a secret decision.
"Uika? We're here." The voice of Xiaoxiang, whom Chuhua had been thinking about, came from the side, waking Chuhua up from his imagination.
After getting off the car, Chuhua saw the full view of the headquarters of the Mujica Group, the Fengchuan Building.
A skyscraper that is one-third taller than Tokyo Skytree!
"Let's go, there are a few people who want you to meet." Seeing Chuhua standing there in a daze, Xiangzi stepped forward, took her hand, and ran into the building with the bewildered Chuhua.
-----------------
Taking the glass elevator to the top of the Fengchuan Building, Xiangzi has introduced many industries of the Mujica Group to Chuhua, including electronic products, drones, robots, artificial intelligence... These advanced industries are the ladder for the group to climb up and seize more power and interests; and idols, music, film and television, games... These cultural industries are tools for the group to expand its influence. At present, everything in the Mujica Group seems to be thriving.
When they reached the top floor, Xiangzi took Chuhua's left hand and led her to a room.
Boardroom, it said on the door of the room.
"here......"
"It's okay."
Chu Hua was about to ask something when Xiangzi opened the door and called out to the three people inside, "Excuse me for waiting. I brought her here."
This was a not very big room with black floors and black walls. In the middle stood a black round table with several different cups and drinks on it. Three people were sitting around the table, obviously waiting for Chuhua and Xiangzi to arrive.
Chuhua was pushed into the room by Xiangzi. When he saw the appearance of the three people in the room, he was shocked again.
Hailing?!
Meow Dream?!
Harmony? !
"This is Hachiman Kailing, in charge of the company's finances."
"This is Yutenji Ruomai, you can call her Meowmeng. She is mainly responsible for external communication."
"This is mu... Ruoye Mu, um, I can't go into details about her work for now."
Xiangzi introduced the three people one by one.
Chu Hua remained calm on the surface, burying his shock deep in his heart, and began to sort out the information he had obtained so far.
This is the boardroom. The three of them are here, which means they are directors of the Mujica Group, the highest level of the company, and perhaps the closest people to Xiangzi in this world. And Xiangzi brought himself here, could it be that...
"I transferred 13% of my group shares to you yesterday. Chuhua is now one of us!" Xiangzi turned his head and looked at Mutsumi. "Mutsumi, can you take Chuhua to see her next job?"
"Yeah." Mu stood up, expressionless, making it impossible to tell what she was thinking. She said to Chu Hua, "Let's go."
-----------------
After Chu Hua and Mu left, Hai Ling still walked towards the door and asked, "So, are those clones really her?"
"Yes. The 11 that have been destroyed and the two that are missing are all based on her genes." Xiangzi no longer has the look of a little girl. There is still a slight smile on her face, and a hint of confidence that she has everything under control.
"Hey, it seems like you really like her, Boss." Miao Meng took out a glass helmet from somewhere and put it on her face, making it impossible to see her appearance.
"She's obviously just an ordinary person, but her genes can produce so many powerful clones? Even 'Death'..." Hailing also changed her look. The black tight combat suit outlined her slender curves, and the scorpion tail behind her added a deadly and threatening touch to her.
"Although Uika is just an ordinary person, I believe she will be able to add a lot of strength to our cause in the future." Xiangzi stood on one side of the round table, using two mechanical tentacles to support himself. The other two reached out to pick up the Earl Grey tea on the table and handed it to him. "So, Scorpion, Mysterio, do you remember what our goal is?"
"Conquer the world." Hailing said calmly, but her indifferent expression could not hide the enthusiasm in her tone.
"Emmmm, whatever you say, Boss," Miao Meng replied nonchalantly, showing her usual loyalty.
-----------------
When Chuhua was following Mu, he hoped that he could establish a good relationship with them this time, instead of being like last time, where he couldn't get involved in the end because he was not familiar with others.
He told one joke after another on the way, hoping to make Mu smile, but it seemed that it could only make Mu smile so tiny that it was imperceptible, and could not truly open her heart.
In the evening, Chuhua went home in Mu's car.
"Well, Xiao Mu, see you tomorrow. I hope you can come to my house next time."
When they arrived at his home, Chuhua said goodbye to Mu warmly.
Mu nodded and drove away.
-----------------
After Hua's figure disappeared, a stream of dark green mucus emerged from Mu's right forearm. The mucus became more and more, and the shape became clearer and clearer, finally converging into a terrifying face.
"What a pretty face! Why not eat it in one bite?" The strange face opened its bloody mouth, rubbed its sharp teeth, and recalled the delicious meal it had just seen.
"She's just an ordinary person, and she's Saki's friend. Saki will be sad."
"Hey, I really want to see what that domineering blue octopus looks like when he's sad and crying."
"Stop it, Mortis. If you continue like this, I won't give you any extra food tonight."
"Oh, don't, don't, I'm just thinking about Mu. Look at how Xiangzi ignored you when she saw her childhood sweetheart. You must be very angry inside."
"......" Mu was silent. The symbiont would magnify many emotions that were originally imperceptible in people's hearts. She really couldn't deny Mortis's words.
But just when Mortis was about to press on, his phone rang. He picked it up and saw: "It's a mission. Another rat has sneaked into Tokyo."
"Then let's eat!" Mortis yelled.
-----------------
Under the moonlight, on the quiet street, a figure quietly emerged from a sewer. Before he had time to rejoice, he saw a green-haired woman standing next to him.
Some unknown dark green liquid gushed out of the woman's body, covering her entire body. Only a huge mouth and large white eyes remained where her original facial features were.
Before the figure could escape, he was tied up by the tentacles extending from the monster's back and hung in front of him.
"We...are...death!"
"It's really confusing" was the spy's final thought.
(To be continued)
Volume 3: The Book of Fears: .numquam (Farewell)
Chu Hua quietly hid on the roof of a low building, observing the man-eating monster below.
She didn't expect that she would encounter a symbiote, and an extremely powerful one at that, on the second night after arriving in this place.
It was simply because he had received too much information during the day, so he wanted to go out at night to change his mood. So Chu Hua, wearing a spider suit, began to go to the streets of Tokyo to be a hero.
The streets of this world at night were even quieter than those of her hometown, but before she had even walked around a few times, Chu Hua encountered...
"We...are...death!"
A symbiote that was over two meters tall bit off the head of some unlucky guy, and then carried the limp corpse away, swinging its thick and long tongue back and forth, probably savoring the delicious taste.
Suddenly, the Death Symbiote turned its head and looked straight in the direction of Chu Hua.
"Tsk, who is hiding there again? Since you have seen this scene, I have no choice but to ask you to leave your life behind!" The living being swung her long tongue, as if the meal just now was far from enough to fill her stomach.
Since there's no point in hiding any longer, let's just fight.
"Good evening, big cucumber with a long tongue. It looks like you've been enjoying a feast." Chu Hua leaped in front of the Death Symbiote. "It's a pity this is your last meat meal."
"Oh? Little Spider?! It's been such a long time!" Death looked at Chu Hua, shock and joy on his ferocious face. "I didn't expect to have such a feast tonight. It's been a week since you last escaped. I hope we have fun tonight!"
"Of course we'll have fun, but not only that, I'll punish you for your cannibalism." Spider-Woman had already determined the monster before her was her enemy. She took her stance and touched the anti-symbiote sonic generator she'd been tinkering with, which she'd brought with her. She was ready to give her hungry friend a taste of the iron fist from another world.
The asphalt road shimmered with an iridescent, oily sheen in the moonlight. Chu Hua watched as the symbiote crumpled a roadside ATM into a metallic ball, its coins burrowing into a streetside fire hydrant like shotgun shells. She shot a web of silk that clung to the nearby coffee shop sign, narrowly avoiding the sweeping dark green claws.
"It's time to end your gymnastics!" the symbiote roared, ripping the steel streetlight apart. The twisted lamppost brushed Chuhua's back before crashing into the window of the fast food restaurant behind him. Amidst the red mist of ketchup and broken glass, Chuhua suddenly caught a familiar scent of blood—a shivering passerby huddled behind a newsstand fifty meters away.
"Why are there ordinary people here?"
In that moment of distraction, dark green spikes suddenly rose from the asphalt. Chu Hua felt a sharp pain in her left leg as she flipped through the air. The symbiote's slime corroded the fabric of her suit, leaving smoking burns on her calf. "Now I'm the lead dancer!" The symbiote swung out a ten-meter-long tentacle, wrapping around her ankle and hurling her violently against the convenience store sign.
The metal frame twisted into abstract art upon impact. Chu Hua, suffocating her dizziness, launched a web-shaped pinball, sending milky white goo exploding before the symbiote's eyes. "Little trick!" the dark green monster tore through the goo, only to find Spider-Woman using her web to carry the unconscious clerk to the rooftop. This action made a vein pop in her forehead. "How dare you babysit in a life-or-death battle?!"
Chu Hua took the opportunity to throw the adjusted sound wave generator at the opponent's chest, but the expected scream did not appear.
Dark green slime suddenly enveloped the sonic device, crushing it into metallic shards. As Chu Hua retreated, he discovered that the surroundings had been inexplicably filled with the transparent gelatin secreted by the symbionts. Every step felt like treading through a gum swamp. Death's body swelled to three meters tall, blocking out the moonlight. "Guess how long a spider's chitinous exoskeleton can survive in aqua regia?"
The neon sign of the convenience store suddenly exploded. Chu Hua wrapped her spider silk around the flying metal bracket, releasing it just as the symbiote swung its claws. The sharp aluminum alloy blades sliced through its dark green chest, exposing the flesh within. While the symbiote healed, she shot out three strands of spider silk, attaching them to three buildings in different directions.
"Home run time!" Chu Hua twisted her spider silk into an elastic rope, using the momentum of the death rush to perform a pendulum-like dodge. The dark green giant couldn't stop its momentum and crashed into a charging station. Chu Hua immediately used her spider web to detonate the entire charging station. Amidst the sky-high flames, she soared into the air, pulling on the pre-arranged escape silk.
"Want to run? Dream on!" The symbiote leaped from the sea of fire, its body already fully regenerated. Chu Hua dodged the flying debris of the charging station in mid-air, the broken wires casting sparks behind her. Just as the tentacles of death were about to grab her ankle, another explosion sounded behind her.
Metal fragments from the explosion shredded the dark green tentacles. Chu Hua took the opportunity to swing into the subway ventilation duct, the roar of collapsing buildings echoing behind her. She raced through the dark tunnel until she heard the symbiote's heartbreaking roar piercing the fifty-meter-thick rock.
"I will find you and eat you up completely!"
-----------------
Chu Hua sat down against the leaking brick wall, panting. She realized the damage to her suit wasn't serious; she was lucky. She figured it could be mended overnight. She took off the torn mask and breathed a sigh of relief.
I didn't expect the symbiotes here to be so ferocious that they aren't even afraid of Soundwave.
The sound of concrete breaking could be heard in the distance, and Spider-Woman's figure had disappeared deep into the ventilation duct.
-----------------
Looking at the direction Spider-Woman left, Mu was silent for a long time.
"Tsk, let that little bug get away again," Mortis muttered. "The collateral damage this time was quite high. I hope Xiangzi can make up for it quickly. If no innocent people were harmed, she shouldn't have to put me in solitary confinement again."
Although they let Spider-Woman escape, they were able to quickly find this other clone spy who illegally broke into Tokyo by relying on their own clones that stuck to the back of the passerby. Thinking that they could have another good meal, Mortis was not particularly angry.
"Can you tell which clone it is?" Mu asked. This was a question he had asked countless times.
"No, the genes of these clones are almost identical. They can only be identified by the slight features left on their faces by the blue octopus." Mortis also gave an answer that was repeated countless times.
Mu sighed: "This is always a threat to Saki..."
"Well, the fact that the clones are bored and looking for trouble doesn't prove that they are targeting the Blue Octopus. Besides, the one who really can't come into contact with the clones is the blonde girl. What do you have to worry about?" Mortis said nonchalantly.
