Pokémon's Lord of Fear

So, just twenty minutes after the premiere ended, Roger sent out a long article.
[First of all, this movie contains spoilers. Viewers who have not watched it, please read my other review. Only viewers who have watched the movie and provided ticket purchase records can read this review.
In my opinion, "The Truman Show" is a profound and creative movie. Director Teng Shu is right, this is not a horror movie, but a comedy, and even more a philosophical exploration of human nature, free will and the nature of reality. The film constructs a grand metaphor through the life experience of the protagonist Truman. After watching the movie, I couldn't help but re-examine the reality of the world and life I live in.
The most fascinating thing about the movie is its unique creativity - a huge TV production team secretly constructed a huge false world for entertainment purposes, in which the unsuspecting Truman lived for thirty years. This setting is both novel and bold, cleverly combining modern media culture, reality show elements and reflection on personal privacy and moral boundaries, showing a highly developed but morally corrupt future society.
"The Truman Show" deeply explores the multifaceted nature of human nature. Truman's desire for freedom, pursuit of truth, and the courage to ultimately choose to escape from the false world reflect mankind's yearning for free will and real life. At the same time, the film also reveals the audience's (even after watching the movie, I felt that it was about me) prying into and entertaining the lives of others as bystanders, which is thought-provoking. In today's world where the real world and virtual entertainment are increasingly integrated, have we also become the audience of "Truman" to some extent, ignoring the real emotions of the people around us and the essence of life?
The film blurs the line between reality and fiction, triggering philosophical thinking on "what is real". The Seaview Town where Truman lives is a carefully designed lie, but when he gradually discovers the truth and tries to escape, he encounters double resistance from the "creator" and the "audience". This not only reflects the society's restrictions on individual freedom, but also raises a profound question: in a world that can be manipulated and constructed, how can we be sure that everything we experience is real?
I even began to worry whether I was also living in a fake world.
Then Roger posted another spoiler-free review.
[My evaluation is that this is a film that is worthy of being named the best film of the year, and it deserves it! ]
As soon as he woke up the next day, Teng Shu was bombarded with messages on his cell phone.
"The box office exceeded 300 million in nine hours?" Teng Shu looked at the information in his hand, yawned, and didn't care much.
"The Truman Show" is Teng Shu's award-winning film, and it is also a movie tailor-made for Yin Carrey, so Teng Shu doesn't really care about the box office. Anyway, this movie doesn't generate any income from fear. Teng Shu plans to use the revenue to develop the company and further expand the scale of Ghost Pictures to make the company more profitable.
Compared to this, Teng Shu is more concerned about his next movie.
As for the choice of the next movie, Teng Shu has also thought about it.
It's still Ju-Gong, but this time Teng Shu plans to use Ju-Gong Videotape Version 2 to write the plot, in which Kayako continues to kill people. At the same time, Teng Shu also plans to put the scene where the real estate agent and his sister go to the haunted house at the end of the first part into the second part.
This way the plot will be more coherent. Of course, the plot of The Grudge itself is full of confusion, and Teng Shu is now used to it. Anyway, to sum it up, let the horror scenes slowly progress so that the audience can have a stronger sense of fear.
"The Grudge," Teng Shu scratched his head. The videotape version of "The Grudge 2" was pretty good. It was also good for scaring the audience. It just so happened that the audience had experienced a cooling-off period of several months, so they could contribute more fear, right?
Before, Teng Shu had considered whether to shoot something else, such as a ghost, or even a curse, but after thinking about it, Teng Shu gave up, because Teng Shu felt that the movie about curse was a bit unlucky. He would start by chanting something, and then make a gesture to guide the audience to chant along, but only after watching the later part did they realize that this meant sharing the curse.
Although the director team meant to break the dimensional wall and let the audience feel involved, it is obvious that this did not bring any sense of participation. Instead, it made the audience very angry, with a kind of old-fashioned disgusting feeling like "If you don't forward this, you are not XX person" and "Forward this to X number of people, otherwise your relatives will die."
Therefore, considering his own reputation, Teng Shu gave up this option and let this movie sink forever in the ocean of scorn.
"Master Teng Shu." The old butler poured Teng Shu a cup of hot milk tea.
"Grandpa Zhitian, do you still have the funds to purchase meteorites?" Teng Shu took a sip of the milk tea and asked by the way. The old butler shook his head. Although one hundred million is not a small amount, it is indeed a bit unsustainable with continuous acquisitions.
Seeing this, Teng Shu didn't say anything and continued to allocate 100 million. If they still couldn't find a meteorite that would satisfy Rayquaza after spending so much money, Teng Shu could only say that it was fate.
Just as Teng Shu was drinking tea, suddenly a stone broke through his roof and fell directly onto the table in front of Teng Shu.
"?"
Chapter 353 The fateful meteorite?
"What's going on?" Teng Shu looked at the top of his head in confusion. There was a hole in the ceiling. But you have to know that Teng Shu's house actually has three floors. The highest one is the attic, which is used to store some sundries. The second floor is the sleeping place. Teng Shu's room, Daigo's room and Mujin's room are all on the second floor.
The first floor is the kitchen, dining room, reception room, etc., as well as a gym. The Zvochi family goes in from time to time to exercise and maintain their health. There is also training equipment specially customized by the old father to simulate digging. It is said that more training can make mining faster and more gentle in the future.
Teng Shu didn't understand why, but his father and brother often used this equipment to exercise.
Moreover, Teng Shu was very willing to spend money when building his house, so there would be no problem even in a normal earthquake. However, he did not expect that a piece of stone would directly smash through his house, even through the third and second floors, and fell directly in front of him.
"Meteorite?" Teng Shu had some guesses, but just as he got to this point, the old housekeeper rushed over quickly and took Teng Shu away to prevent another stone from hitting Teng Shu's head directly. Although the top of the head is very hard, it is obvious that the human skull cannot compare with reinforced concrete in strength.
The meteorite could smash through the second and third floors, and it could also smash through Teng Shu’s head.
However, no new stones fell later. The stone that fell in front of Teng Shu was sent to Dewen Company for inspection, and it was confirmed that it was indeed a meteorite. It was just that Teng Shu was unlucky. After this thing fell, there were so many places it could fall, but it fell directly into Teng Shu's home.
In a way, Teng Shu could be considered lucky. After all, the probability of a meteorite falling in front of him was even lower than winning the lottery.
"Teng Shu, I heard that a meteorite almost hit you?" The old father came over hurriedly, and Teng Shu put down the phone in his hand at this time. Just now, his elder brother Daigo also called and asked him about the meteorite. If Daigo had not been carrying out a mission of the alliance, he would probably have flown over.
"Dad, don't worry, it's okay." Teng Shu smiled, then weighed the meteorite in his hand. The meteorite was not very heavy. According to inspection, the meteorite weighed 3213.41 kilograms, and the total weight was grams. The calculation was very accurate.
The old father was relieved to see Teng Shu like this. When Mu Jin heard Zhitian say that Teng Shu was almost hit by a meteorite, her heart was in her throat. Now she felt a little relieved, but then her eyes fell on the meteorite.
The meteorite looked ordinary and a little black. Mu Jin also picked up the inspection report on the table and took a look. This meteorite was a metal meteorite. Its main component was iron and it also contained some other trace metals, but they were all found in the world and were not very rare. No viruses or bacteria were found on it, so there was no need to worry about viral or bacterial infection.
"It seems that we need to install an interception net at home in the future." Mu Jin looked at the meteorite and felt a little scared. He decided to install an interception net when he returned to prevent such problems from happening again. Although he had never seen a similar situation in his life, Mu Jin was still worried. Teng Shu was lucky this time and was not hit on the head, but what about next time?
So Hibiscus would rather spend a little more money to prevent this possibility.
Teng Shu also knew his old father's worries, so although he felt there was no need, he still did not stop it. However, Teng Shu took the meteorite away as well. He was wondering if this stone could be the one that could make Rayquaza resonate. If so, then he really was the son of destiny. After all, he could have whatever he wanted. If this wasn't the son of destiny, then what else could he be, a daydreamer?
"Daydreamer?" Teng Shu raised his eyebrows. What he just thought of reminded him of a movie. However, the box office of this movie was relatively not that good. In his previous life, Daydreamer only got 1.9 million at the global box office, which was a typical movie that was well received but not popular.
Moreover, a movie like "The Dreamers" has received very polarized reviews from film critics. Those who are optimistic about it think it is excellent, while those who are not optimistic about it criticize it in various ways, thinking that it is a rubbish movie with product placement, and the way the product is placed is very bad.
But apparently, the film critics at the time had not seen how awkward and uncomfortable it would be to product placement in a bad movie. Compared with those movies, the product placement in Daydreamer can be regarded as a very outstanding product placement movie.
However, Teng Shu did not have the idea of filming "Daydreamer". After all, this movie is relatively similar to "The Truman Show". It's not that this is also a Truman Show, but that the ratings of these two movies are very good, but obviously neither of them is the category of horror movies that Teng Shu likes to shoot.
Walter, the protagonist of "The Dreamers", is a daydreaming film developing manager who embarks on an adventure in search of a key negative.
The protagonist Walter works at Life magazine. His life is dull, but his heart is full of desire for adventure, love and success. He often travels between reality and his daydreams. This is also a very interesting setting. His favorite thing to do is to imagine himself becoming a hero and experiencing all kinds of adventures everywhere.
However, in real life, he is an introvert and is even embarrassed to talk to his sweetheart.
Originally, Walter's life would have continued like this, boring and tedious, and he would daydream every day. However, as the company was acquired, the magazine needed to make a cover for the last issue, and the key to the success of the cover was to find the film that the wild photographer Sean was most satisfied with - Film No. 25.
In order to find this negative, Walter embarked on a journey. Along the way, he experienced many thrills and adventures. These experiences made Walter mature and changed himself.
In the end, Walter found the negative and found himself.
He went from being a timid, daydreaming person to a courageous man, and after returning to New York, he even dared to pursue the person he liked.
It looks short, but in essence it is indeed short. After all, the script of Daydreamer was originally a two-and-a-half-part short story, so it is hard to say how long it is.
"Well, why not just let the company do the filming?" Teng Shu touched his chin and had some ideas.
Although Teng Shu did not plan to shoot the film, after all, he had to shoot Ju-Jou 2 next and really could not spare the time to shoot Daydreamer, but it would be a good idea to let the directors in the company shoot it, and he would only need to take the credit of the screenwriter.
"Teng Shu, come to think of it, why have you collected so many meteorites during this period?" His old father Mu Jin's words interrupted Teng Shu's thoughts. After hearing this, Teng Shu raised his head and glanced at his old father. There was a hint of curiosity in his father's eyes, but he didn't have any other ideas.
After all, Mu Jin herself would occasionally spend a lot of money to buy some strange-shaped stones, so she didn't think there was anything wrong with her son spending money to buy meteorites. It was just a small amount of money anyway.
"Dad, I went to the Sky Pillar some time ago, and then I met Rayquaza." Teng Shu had no intention of hiding it. After all, his old father was his relative, and Teng Shu naturally would not say that he did not believe his father, so he opened his mouth to explain his intention of purchasing the meteorite.
"Rayquaza." There was some contemplation and sigh in Mu Jin's eyes. Although he would regret it from time to time, Mu Jin did not regret what he had done in his heart. He just regretted that he had hurt some people. But if it happened again, Mu Jin would still choose to cooperate with the alliance.
It was precisely because of the cooperation with the Alliance that Devon Corporation defeated its old rival, Violet, and later developed into one of the largest companies in the entire Pokémon League. All of this was due to that original decision.
The business war was fierce and cruel. The old Zijin Company is now a different place. I heard that the founder and his family had to rely on working to make money due to some failed investments. However, they did not stay in Hoenn, a sad place, but chose to develop in other regions. Mujin did not know what happened later.
Although some people implicitly told him that they could help teach his former enemy a lesson, Mu Jin himself refused. He disdained to add insult to injury. In addition, the pressure from the Da Zijin Company was very severe. If it were not for the new energy developed by the Dewen Company, it would have been difficult to turn things around.
A respectable opponent, this is how Mu Jin describes his old rival.
"Dad, I also know about the meteorite. I've investigated Shijiana, and there are some prophecies circulating among the Meteor People. If we want to save Hoenn from crisis, we need Rayquaza to shatter the darkness. Now it seems that we need Rayquaza's help to shatter the meteorite." Teng Shu said calmly.
Sorry, I know the plot can really do whatever it wants.
Especially when one's own strength is still quite good, one can do whatever he wants.
After being coerced by the Rockets, Teng Shu reported Sakaki to the league. Although the league has not made any move yet, Teng Shu knows that Sakaki's good days are over. Which of these gangsters is clean? As long as you check, you can always find the problem.
What's more, Team Rocket is hiding so deeply, even infiltrating the Junsha family. If the Junsha family gets to know about this, they will definitely not end up well, and it is foreseeable that they will be severely punished.
So Sakaki is probably also very worried now, and he probably won't have time to care about Mewtwo's affairs by then.
"Son, you've grown up." Mu Jin looked at Teng Shu with satisfaction. He had originally planned to let himself carry the meteorite, but he didn't expect that his youngest son would be able to step up and do the job. This made the old father very happy, and Teng Shu felt a little embarrassed.
The old father was so happy that he gave Teng Shu 1 billion yuan and asked Teng Shu to buy up meteorites at will. This made Teng Shu feel a little helpless. Now, with 200 million yuan, he had basically bought up all the meteorites in the entire Hoenn area, leaving nothing behind.
Old butler Shibata came to tell Teng Shu that the speed of purchasing meteorites had dropped a lot, and the old butler had already started to purchase meteorites from other regions. Teng Shu naturally had no objection to this. After all, as long as the problem could be solved with money, then it would be best to solve it with money. What if the meteorites from other regions contained what Rayquaza needed?
So Teng Shu is still buying, but 1 billion is too much, not to mention now there is this sudden meteorite. Teng Shu thinks that the meteorite that can allow Rayquaza to evolve should be this one.
After all, this thing fell directly in front of him, which gave him a sense of fate. However, whether it was true or not still needed to be verified.
After seeing off his happy old father, Teng Shu returned to his own company. He was going to start writing the plot of Daydreamer and also write the plot of Ju-Jou 2 at the same time. Then he would start filming Ju-Jou 2 and reap the audience's fear.
"I've been looking forward to that famous scene for a long time." Teng Shu rubbed his hands.
There are many classic shots in Ju-Grudge, such as Kayako climbing the stairs, Kayako popping out of the face, and Kayako crawling out of the bed. These are all very classic shots, but there is another shot that has been mentioned by many people.
This scene takes place in a school on a rainy day. There are a bunch of female ghosts standing on the playground. These female ghosts even climb the windows of the classroom and try to get in. This plot has left a deep impression on many people.
Therefore, Teng Shu is quite looking forward to whether the schools of the Pokémon League will usher in a wave of truancy after the filming is completed. However, Teng Shu thinks the probability is not high. After all, Ju-Ji 2 is probably a restricted movie, and it is estimated to be limited to adults. Although in Teng Shu's opinion, it has the bonus of master-level lens language to eliminate negative effects, it is okay for children to watch it, but Teng Shu has no intention of going against the League.
"Boss, are you going to shoot a new movie?" Zoroark looked at Teng Shu expectantly, and then his eyes noticed the two words "The Grudge" that Teng Shu wrote at the very beginning. Suddenly, his body froze and he retreated directly.
Teng Shu's mouth twitched. Is he that timid?
"Takako, director Teng Shu wants you to shoot the sequel!" Takako Fuji's mother said excitedly as she pushed the door open. But as soon as she opened the door, she saw a head popping out of the closet. The long hair and weird eyes made Takako Fuji's mother almost stop breathing.
"Mom, I'm trying to find the feeling!" Fujitakako said unhappily. Although she played the role of Kayako and was scared by herself while watching the movie, she was still very serious and dedicated in the filming of the movie.
Chapter 354 The Grudge 2
Teng Shu is currently writing the plot for "The Grudge 2", but although it is called The Grudge 2, it is not the one in which the Demon Queen appears. Teng Shu chose the next part of the videotape version of The Grudge, and the story of this Grudge mainly focuses on the Suzuki family.
Tatsuya Suzuki can be considered the protagonist of this drama to some extent. Although Kayako is the only protagonist in Ju-Grudge, as a living person, Tatsuya has quite a few parts. At the same time, Tatsuya's sister Suzuki Kyoko also has quite a few parts and can be considered the heroine.
Originally, this pair of siblings were supposed to appear at the end of the first part of the Ju-Grudge Videotape version, paving the way for the second part and introducing the unlucky couple Kitada. However, Teng Shu felt that this way of filming was not good, so he simply moved the Suzuki siblings to the beginning of the second part to introduce the main characters.
This has an advantage, which is that it can prevent the audience from wondering why the Suzuki brothers and sisters did not die at the end of the first part, and it can also prevent Teng Shu from being affectionately called a blackout dog by the audience, which can be said to kill two birds with one stone.
Tatsuya Suzuki, as a moderately successful real estate agent, runs his own small real estate company. He also takes over the house of the Murakami family who died in the first videotape, which is also the haunted house in The Grudge.
Tatsuya Suzuki bought the house at the price of a haunted house, and planned to sell it at a high price to make a profit from the difference. After all, although someone had died in the house of The Grudge, it had a superior geographical location and was a very popular house.
However, it is not known whether Suzuki Tatsuya was a little cautious or not cautious enough. Anyway, before selling the house, Suzuki Tatsuya, a superstitious man, chose to take his psychic sister Suzuki Kyoko to see the house to see if there was anything unusual about the house.
Suzuki Kyoko also followed her brother to the house of the Grudge. Suzuki Kyoko felt uneasy just by looking at the house. After entering, Suzuki Kyoko saw the shadow of Kayako on the second floor, and said that it was definitely not just the Murakami family who died here. After Kyoko went up to the second floor, she saw Kayako directly.
Kayako also made a kill with her head down, but Suzuki Tatsuya couldn't see it and just followed his sister in. As a result, Suzuki Kyoko sensed the deep resentment in the house and chose to leave.
However, before leaving, Suzuki Kyoko picked up the sake and took a sip, and at the same time told her brother that if anyone wanted to buy the house here, they must let the other party drink a sip of sake, and only if the sake was normal could it be sold.
Suzuki Tatsuya curiously asked why this was the case, and Kyoko told him that once sake has been touched by an evil spirit, it will become very unpalatable, and people can taste it, so if the person who buys the house drinks the sake and finds it unpalatable, it means that the other party has been targeted by an evil spirit.
Tatsuya Suzuki also agreed, and when Kyoko left, she looked back at the cursed house and shuddered all over.
Unexpectedly, after a while, Suzuki Kyoko received a call from her brother, saying that the house had been sold. He also said that he had done what Kyoko said and let the other party drink sake. As a result, the other party said that the sake was fine, so he sold it. However, this still made Suzuki Kyoko feel a little incredible.
But Suzuki Tatsuya also said on the phone that his son Nobuyuki had been possessed by evil spirits recently and hoped that his sister could go and see him. Kyoko naturally agreed, after all, Nobuyuki was also her nephew.
