Looking at the green light in the center of the lake, he looked at the rough rock walls around him.
Harry put his hands to his face as he shook his head.
"If I'm not wrong..."
Harry pointed to the green light in the middle of the lake.
"The Horcrux should be there."
Qiu Zhang sighed again after looking around.
"Low-level...really low-level..."
Before Dumbledore could speak, Qiu Zhang reached his hand to Harry's waist again and flicked the hilt of the sword.
When the long sword flew out, Qiu Zhang stepped on it.
"Let's go."
"and many more……"
Dumbledore called out to Qiu Zhang who was about to fly over.
"The air here has been cast under a spell. I'm afraid we'll have to find another way to get there."
Under Qiu Zhang's surprised gaze, Dumbledore found a small boat by the lake.
"This should be the way Voldemort left for him to reach the center of the lake. Come on..."
As soon as Dumbledore stepped onto the boat, the dark surface of the lake began to churn as if a boiling pot.
Then countless pale corpses floated up from the lake and walked towards Harry and the other two.
"Ice storm!"
Just as the corpses approached, Dumbledore waved his wand and a blizzard quickly covered the Black Lake, freezing the lake surface and the floating corpses.
"Let's go, this spell should be able to delay them for a while."
As Dumbledore put down his wand, there was a "bang bang" sound under the ice.
Harry and Cho Zhang, following Dumbledore, crossed the frozen lake and came to the small island in the middle of the Black Lake.
The island was about the size of Dumbledore's office: a flat slab of black stone, empty except for the green light.
Looking closer now, the green light appears much brighter.
Harry squinted at it, and at first he thought it was a lamp of some kind, then he saw that the green light came from a rough stone basin, which was filled to the brim with an emerald green liquid that gave off an unsettling phosphorescent glow.
"This is the second time I've encountered a situation where something is almost placed directly in front of me."
Looking at the stone basin emitting green light, Harry touched his chin.
Harry recalled the story, or rather the accident, in which he had moved stones in the ruins for a week in order to save a vampire who wished to remain anonymous.
"Yes...he did design the magic."
Harry stared with wide eyes as Dumbledore reached directly into the liquid in the basin.
"Are you crazy?!"
Harry, horrified, grabbed Dumbledore's arm.
"You're touching an unknown potion directly. Do you think your life is too long?!"
I can't touch it." Dumbledore smiled faintly, "See? I can't reach my hand any further. Try it."
Harry stared and reached out to the stone basin, wanting to touch the liquid.
But he encountered an invisible resistance and his hands could not get close to the liquid.
No matter how hard he stretched his hand down, what his fingers seemed to touch was extremely hard and indestructible air.
Harry turned his head and looked at Qiu Zhang beside him.
Qiu Zhang, who had been studying the stone basin as soon as he arrived on the island, shook his head at Harry, indicating that he didn't understand what was hidden in the stone basin.
"Harry, please move aside," said Dumbledore.
He raised his wand and made some complicated movements on the surface of the liquid, muttering something silently.
There was no movement, but the light from the liquid seemed to grow brighter.
Harry watched in silence as Dumbledore cast the spell.
When the spell was finished, Dumbledore sighed, waved his wand and spun it in the air, then conjured up a tall crystal wine glass and held it in his hand.
"I can only conclude that this liquid needs to be drunk."
"What?" said Harry. "No!"
"I think it's this: only by drinking it can I empty the stone basin and see what's hidden underneath."
"But what if—what if it poisoned you?"
"Oh, I am sure it will not have that effect," said Dumbledore blithely. "Voldemort would not wish to poison anyone who came to this island."
"He would not be willing to kill immediately anyone who came to this island."
Dumbledore corrected himself.
"He'll keep them alive a little longer, figure out how they were able to get past his defenses, and most importantly, figure out why they're so eager to empty the basin."
Harry felt that Dumbledore's inference seemed to be correct, but not entirely correct.
So Harry sighed, cast a spell of protection against poison on himself, and reached out to Dumbledore.
"I am a holy warrior, let me deal with this thing."
"Harry!"
Before Dumbledore could say anything, Qiu Zhang grabbed Harry and stared at him with eyes wide open, as if to say, "Are you crazy?"
"rest assured."
Harry patted Cho Chang's shoulder.
"I am a holy warrior. The power of light allows me to be free from diseases. The protection from poison spell allows me to resist most poison attacks. I can also remove curses and heal myself."
At this point Harry turned his gaze towards Dumbledore.
"If someone has to drink this crap today, I'm definitely the best person to do it, so give me the damn cup."
"no!"
Qiu Zhang grabbed Harry's hand, tears glistening in his eyes.
"You can't drink this stuff!"
"Well, someone has to drink it. At least I can resist most of the effects of whatever this thing is."
Harry reached out his fingers and wiped away the tears that were sliding down Qiu Zhang's cheeks.
"Stop crying, I don't want to see you cry."
After saying that, Harry turned his head and looked at Dumbledore beside him, whose eyes seemed to have something flashing.
"Professor, can you give me that damn cup, please?"
"Harry, are you sure?"
The twinkle in Dumbledore's eyes disappeared.
"This potion will certainly prevent you from acquiring a Horcrux. It will probably paralyze you, make you forget why you are here, cause you to feel extreme pain, lose your concentration, or incapacitate you in some other way."
Dumbledore looked at Harry with a serious look.
"If this happens, Harry, you also need to keep pouring it into your mouth, otherwise all your previous efforts will be in vain. Do you understand?"
Harry took the tall crystal goblet from Dumbledore.
"Who do you think you are talking to? I am a paladin, and my oath requires me to accept only victory or death."
Harry put the crystal cup into the liquid. The force that had originally prevented Harry's hand from touching it disappeared instantly, and the crystal cup sank all of a sudden. The cup was full, and Harry raised it to his mouth.
"So……"
Harry raised the crystal glass in his hand and said after thinking for a moment.
"I wish you all good health."
After saying that, Harry drank the potion.
As the potion went down his throat, Harry discovered that it was not what he had imagined; it was not biologically or chemically toxic.
It acts directly on people's hearts.
After the potion was taken, some dead memories began to revive and began to torture Harry.
Amid the torture of past memories, Harry smiled and shook his head at Qiu Zhang and Dumbledore who were looking at him worriedly, then scooped up another full cup and drank it.
After drinking the second potion, more memories began to revive in Harry's mind, from when Harry went to the kitchen to steal food during his training in Woking Temple, to the first judgment Harry made after becoming a paladin.
With the memories echoing in his mind, Harry mechanically scooped up cup after cup of potion and poured it into his mouth.
As his memories came back, the images of those who had fallen under Harry's sword began to appear in Harry's mind, and these people began to question why Harry wanted to kill them.
But Harry remained silent, and still firmly poured cup after cup of potion into his stomach.
Just when the stone basin was about to bottom out, a series of footsteps were heard at the entrance of the cave, and a group of people in black robes walked into the cave.
Far away, Harry could see two flashes of red light beneath the cloaks of the black-robed men.
"Dumbledore, I never thought you could find this place..."
A very young voice sounded at the entrance of the cave.
"I didn't expect you to come so soon, Tom."
When Dumbledore drew his wand, two swords had already flown beside Qiu Zhang.
"Now that you are here, don't leave. My knights, kill them."
At the same time as the voice sounded, Qiu Zhang also roared.
"Ten Thousand Sword Jue!"
