Tokyo: Earth Online Manga Artist

"I'm so excited after watching the trailer! Please air it soon, I really love Attack on Titan!"

"TV Tokyo's late-night slot... I can stay up all night!"

"From the previous PV to the current trailer, it all looks great! I'm looking forward to the Attack on Titan anime!"

"Will the anime air in two seasons right away? How far along is the plot?"

"According to usual practice, the King of the Wall arc should be the end of this chapter."

"I want to see the Death Charge scene! That scene is really good!"

"The part about Reiner and Beckham's betrayal was also great, I can't wait!!"

……

Fans online are quite satisfied so far, and Attack on Titan is very popular in Japan.

In particular, in the last six months, Attack on Titan has been able to be directly marketed alongside Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece.

There are also many titles and promotional gimmicks, such as the beautiful manga artist Eri Aragaki, and last year's Attack on Titan ranking first in "This Manga is Amazing".

Takarajima Publishing is giving Attack on Titan a major promotional push, and this promotional period isn't just for that one month.

For the next six months to a year, "This Comic Is Amazing" will continue to make a strong impact.

Given the current state of Attack on Titan, it's at least going to be the next Death Note.

With its immense popularity and well-produced animation, it's naturally highly anticipated.

……

The reaction from the Republic was equally enthusiastic.

Even after the Orange Cat Translation Group's official group was changed to the JUMP Chinese version official group, the original core fan group was still retained.

Xiao Nanliang successfully completed his middle school entrance exam this year, though not exceptionally well...

After all, he enjoys reading comics, which will inevitably affect his diligence in his studies.

But he still scored 629 points!

He barely made it into the top high school in their small county by just 9 points!

His parents and even his grandparents were overjoyed. For an ordinary family in a small county, getting into the county's top high school is a source of great pride.

Xiao Nanliang also received a generous reward, and now that it's summer vacation, his parents allow him to play as much as he wants!

Reading comics, watching anime, or even playing computer games every day—no problem!

Anyway, this summer vacation belongs to him.

Xiao Nanliang had just finished playing games with his classmates. He casually opened the group chat and saw that the chat history had already filled several pages.

He scrolled up for a long time before finding the original message.

"The official JUMP website in Japan has updated the broadcast information for the Attack on Titan anime!"

"The anime will officially premiere next Thursday, airing on TV Tokyo at 6:30 pm."

"Unfortunately, we don't have an official version imported here yet, but the translation team has said that they will make a resource version as soon as it airs... After you finish watching, remember to buy the Chinese version of the manga to support the official version."

"It's finally going to air! We've been waiting for over a year! But we still have to watch the resource version first. Hopefully, the approval process will be finalized soon."

"Don't just look at the resource version, remember to support the collected volumes and the official JUMP version as well."

"Yes! The official sales of Pear Girl's works are good here, so Japan will pay more attention to our market. Maybe we can update in sync in the future, and we won't have to wait for translations anymore."

"Waiting for the official anime release is the most practical thing to do, but I'm already very satisfied with being able to follow the manga simultaneously on the Chinese version of JUMP."

"By the way, have you heard anything from the group admin lately? Is it possible that a domestic video website might actually buy the Attack on Titan anime someday?"

"Rumor has it that when Brother Orange was having dinner in Shanghai last time, he mentioned that he was indeed in talks with several domestic video websites."

"I can't say which companies specifically, but they will most likely buy it because the Chinese version of the Attack on Titan manga is selling so well, they are definitely eyeing the anime's viewership."

"That's great. If video websites can buy it, I'd be willing to watch the official version even if it's a censored one."

"However, I still prefer the full version, hoping that the visuals and storyline of Pear Girl can be preserved in their original form."

"A complete version is probably difficult to obtain, as the review process in China is much stricter than in Japan, but it would be good if we could even have one."

"Let's watch the resource version first, and then support the official version when it comes out. Pear Sister is so good to us, we can't let her down."

"By the way, it seems like the official website is releasing a new edition of the Attack on Titan manga. The first print run will include a postcard featuring Rika. Did you guys hear about that?"

"Really?! I'm buying them all! I'm still missing volume 5, so I'll get the new edition too."

"Buy it if you want to. The anime airs next Thursday, and the manga volume will have a bonus. Let's go all out this time and boost the numbers for Attack on Titan so that the Japanese can see the power of the Republic's readers."

"Stop talking about the data, come with me to watch the teaser PV in the group chat, it's so exciting!"

Chapter 219 Celebrating the Broadcast

what?

Attack on Titan anime is coming?!

Although it's a pity that the animation couldn't be imported to China immediately, Xiao Nanliang was very clear about...

The all-powerful translation team will naturally find a solution!

Moreover, they don't need to feel guilty now, because they have indeed contributed a lot to the sales of official manga volumes and the Chinese version of JUMP.

It's not that they don't want to support the official animation, it's just that it hasn't been introduced to China yet.

Just ...

"If the official anime is imported, we should be able to watch it simultaneously with Japan..."

Xiao Nanliang regretfully thought of this, "Even if the translation team is fast, it will still take one or two weeks to adjust the subtitles, but it's good enough that we can at least watch something."

So, he and hundreds of thousands of Attack on Titan fans on the Republic's side eagerly awaited the arrival of the anime.

……

The anime is about to air, but for the next two weeks, Eri Aragaki has indeed been unusually busy.

In addition to ensuring that the original serialization of "Attack on Titan" continues, she also gave a photo interview to JUMP asking for her thoughts on the anime adaptation of "Attack on Titan".

Another personal magazine that collaborates with Shueisha approached her, wanting to do a double-page interview with her.

She also gave an interview to a television station, and the program team specially sent a film crew to her studio to shoot footage.

These are standard practices for generating buzz before anime promotion in JUMP, and both Kishimoto and Oda have received similar treatment.

Next, I attended the animation's press conference. However, the reporters at the press conference were all reporters who had been invited by the animation production committee, and the questions and answers were all prepared in advance.

So Eri Aragaki didn't encounter any problems. On the contrary, it made her title as a beautiful girl manga artist even more popular and solidified.

It turns out that her title has always been widely circulated in two circles: one is naturally the comic book reader circle, and the other is the online audience circle that often surfs the Internet.

However, both circles have limitations; compared to the general public, their influence is far from sufficient at this moment.

For the general public, only animated works can capture their interest and attention.

Just like Tatsuya Endo in Eri Aragaki's previous life, "Spy House" is very popular in the manga community, but in fact, before it was adapted into an anime, many people who don't usually read manga didn't know this name or this work.

It wasn't until his work was adapted into an anime that he and his creations attracted more attention.

Now, the pre-anime interviews and TV programs, which are being broadcast on TV Tokyo, have attracted even more attention.

First of all, Attack on Titan is making quite a splash, with the number one most popular manga in Weekly Shonen Jump about to be adapted into an anime...

what?

You asked when Attack on Titan became number one in Weekly Shonen Jump?

Shouldn't the first one be One Piece right now?

But Attack on Titan was once the most popular anime.

I'm asking you, does it count or not?!

Moreover, it held the number one spot for seven consecutive weeks from November to December last year, mainly because the Republic market was included in the vote count at that time and the plot was at its most exciting part.

In addition, it also holds the title of number one in "This Comic Is Amazing".

Shueisha also enlisted the help of some senior figures and colleagues to recommend it, including manga artists such as Akira Toriyama, Tsukasa Hojo, Oda, Kishimoto, Tite Kubo, Kenjiro, Tsugumi Ohba, and Akira Amano.

Almost every title that could be used for promotion was added, and this set of promotional titles attracted the attention of many animation enthusiasts and others.

Then they noticed how beautiful Eri Aragaki, the manga artist, was.

Whether at the press conference or in the later television interview with Eri Aragaki, Eri Aragaki was always meticulously dressed up by Ayano and Erina.

Her makeup was exquisite, and her clothes were both beautiful and appropriate.

Erina did a very photogenic makeup look for Eri Aragaki. As a journalism major, she knew that makeup is very important in front of the camera.

So generally, if you want to look good on camera, you have to wear heavy makeup, with exaggerated eyeshadow and contouring.

Otherwise, one's facial features would appear inexplicably flat in front of the camera.

Although Eri Aragaki previously impressed viewers with her overly supermodel-like physique when she appeared on a TV show.

But Erina still felt that her sister had to be fully shown in front of the camera.

So this time she gave Eri Aragaki a sophisticated and heavy makeup look.

The outfit arrangements for Ayano Kawa were different. Since it was just a TV program, she couldn't dress like a celebrity walking the red carpet.

But it also needs to be appropriate and beautiful.

So she dressed Eri Aragaki in a white shirt as a base layer, topped with an indigo blue halter-neck long dress, both of which were custom-made, making her appear quiet and elegant in front of the camera.

In short, the final result was that Eri Aragaki became a household name, with Attack on Titan bringing her to the public's attention.

Then, Eri Aragaki's title as a beautiful manga artist and her truly outstanding looks made the Attack on Titan anime even more intriguing and highly anticipated.

With these two elements complementing each other, the level of anticipation has been skyrocketed!

It's a pity that this isn't the era of short videos yet, otherwise Eri Aragaki would definitely be a huge hit right now.
