Chapter Fifty-Five: Instead of running away, did you walk towards me?
No one could believe that Batman had fallen.
The riddle-maker in the stands stared wide-eyed, his mouth agape for a long time, a terrible outcome no one could have imagined.
Is Gotham's biggest unsolved mystery about to be revealed today?
I don't want that kind of thing!
He bet all his money on Batman to win!
Could it be that she was faking her death to deceive him?
Wang Baixi and the others were all panting, and they simultaneously heard the voice of a divine oracle:
"Gentlemen, the road to Knights Arena has been completely blocked by the city government. The state government is considering deploying the army to control the situation. The fire department and emergency center have no spare personnel. You will have to rely on yourselves."
"Don't make it sound so obvious!" Wang Baixi couldn't help but complain.
But the thought of those five percent of the shares filled him with a surge of pride that rose to the top of his head.
"Everyone," Robin said sternly, "Judging from what just happened, the venom channel in the back of Bane's head is likely just a decoy. He most likely injected the venom directly into his blood vessels. He's incredibly strong now, everyone must be careful."
Just as Robin was speaking, Bain's eyes, hidden behind his iron mask, turned to Wang Baixi, who was standing in the center of the court, his eyes bloodshot.
"Batman?"
Bain scrutinized Wang Baixi's bat suit, then chuckled, "So you're the imposter the court was talking about."
Did this guy just use some kind of spell on him that made him unable to move?
"Hey, who are you calling an imposter?"
"I mean, you're just an imposter. Oh, by the way, how many times can your spells be used?"
In Bain's opinion, there must be some prerequisite for this guy to cast a spell, otherwise he wouldn't have taken so long to make his move.
Once he understood this, he charged forward with a fierce killing intent, but his target was not Wang Baixi.
It's Nightwing!
"what!"
In his haste, Nightwing managed to distance himself from the caveman once more, but Bane arrived with a whooshing sound. Nightwing hurriedly raised his staff to block Bane's right fist, and was knocked back a few steps by the impact.
Taking advantage of the opening, Bane threw another punch, but Nightwing had already used the momentum to flip backward and regain his balance by touching the ground with his toes.
"So eager? Are you scared, Bane?" Nightwing laughed.
However, Bain looked at him calmly and said, "You'd better pray you don't die a horrible death."
Just as Bane charged toward Nightwing again, Wang Baixi had already darted back to the edge of the stands. He dodged the broken bricks under his feet as he approached Nightwing.
The caveman took a couple of deep breaths and then moved again. He pulled out the submachine gun with a welded bayonet, and the muzzle flashed wildly in Nightwing's direction.
Nightwing kept changing positions amidst a hail of bullets while also having to deal with Bane's pursuit. His position was pushed further and further back, almost to the sideline of the field.
"This is never going to end!"
Just then, a figure joined the battle.
Cassandra recovered from her brief moment of distraction. She lowered her center of gravity, charged through the barrage of bullets, and in a few steps, she was in front of Bane, standing between him and Nightwing.
Before Bain could even react to the little girl's speed, she had already grabbed one of his arms with both hands.
But Bane's arm wasn't locked. His current strength was far beyond what any fighting technique could match. He quickly twisted back with a force exceeding Cassandra's weight, forcing her to let go and jump backward.
“Little girl, you’ve got some skills.” Bane’s voice held a hint of interest, but Cassandra had no interest in answering him and instead raised her fist at Bane without a word.
boom!
Bane blocked the punch.
But from behind him, Nightwing's short stick came crashing down!
Thus, the two of them joined forces to entangle Bane, while at the same time, a figure dressed in a bat suit continued to dodge and weave amidst the flashing swords.
He moved using the cover, trying to get closer to Cassandra. Cassandra seemed to sense his intention and immediately threw two smoke grenades to cover Wang Baixi's movements.
"Little Ka, you really understand me."
White smoke instantly engulfed most of the stadium.
Taking advantage of this brief respite, Wang Baixi, using the lingering white smoke and the shadows along the sidelines of the court, sprinted towards Cassandra and Nightwing.
Bain's patience had run out.
This guy didn't run away, but instead chose to walk towards him?
Okay, it seems they're determined to force him to take action against that most mysterious and unfathomable guy.
He shook off his hand, shoved Cassandra aside with his shoulder, and then charged toward Wang Baixi like a cannonball.
"Fake Batman!"
Fuck!
Wang Baixi realized that he had indeed been targeted, but instead of hiding, he took a step forward towards Bain, clenching his left and right fists, and adopted a posture of mutual destruction.
"Come here, you big oaf."
"court death!"
Bain's patience vanished instantly. He ignored Nightwing and Cassandra behind him and unleashed a barrage of punches at Wang Baixi.
“You’re asking for it, Bain.” Wang Baixi gritted his teeth and, instead of retreating, advanced, crawling right under Bain’s knee.
He pointed a finger, and two dark purple beams of light flew out one after the other. Bane dodged one of them, only to find that it hit the caveman standing behind him. Then, the other beam of light pierced through his body.

Time seemed to have been paused.
He hit the caveman, and he hit Bane even more.
The two giant monsters' movements were abruptly halted by this sudden dizziness.
“Cassandra!” Wang Baixi roared.
Cassandra leaped up like a black shadow, her leg striking Bane directly in the head!
The iron mask snapped at the joint, and the twisted iron pieces flew and slammed to the ground.
Bain revealed his blood-soaked, grotesque face.
Just then, Nightwing lunged at the caveman. His fist, fueled by all the rage he'd accumulated since the start, smashed through the caveman's lower left jaw!
This is the place!
With a loud cracking sound of bones shattering, a yellowish molar flew out of the caveman's mouth. The tooth was clearly different from normal teeth, reflecting a faint metallic luster under the moonlight.
The caveman's body suddenly stiffened, his red-glowing eyes gradually became unfocused, his tall body swayed and then he knelt on one knee, his muscles began to atrophy and collapse.
"Cave dwellers!"
Bain shielded his face and turned around abruptly, but it was too late.
He tried to turn back to rescue the caveman, but Cassandra locked his legs tightly, bringing him to a complete standstill, and he was suddenly overwhelmed by fear.
The caveman knelt on the ground, looking up at Bane, his gaze completely unfocused.
At that moment, Bain felt as if he had returned to many years ago, before he fell from the building, when the prisoner who shared his cell tried to harm him, and it was the caveman who saved him from that fate.
But this time, he couldn't save him from his predicament.
Not far away, the caveman, with his last bit of consciousness, raised his unbroken hand, still clutching the amber-gold tooth, panting frantically, his eyes about to close at any moment.
This thing is actually quite useful.
His voice grew softer and softer, yet it still carried a hint of laughter.
"I'm downstairs, waiting for your good news."
Then, with his last remaining strength, he threw the amber gold tooth at Bane.
Just then, a batarang struck the tooth precisely in mid-air, sending it flying and disappearing into the shadows amidst the rubble.
Bain turned around abruptly, his icy face showing disbelief.
But then Batman, who had just been lying on the spot, slowly stood up, his cape covered in dust and a bloodstain on his forehead.
"You used amber gold?" Bain asked in surprise.
This isn't like Batman at all!
Is he also an imposter?
"Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures." Batman looked at Bane coldly, his gaze suddenly shifting downwards, causing Bane to follow his gaze to the ground.
His legs were bound by a thin thread that was barely visible to the naked eye!
