"Kill them all! Leave no one alive!!"

Scarface Hawke's roar drowned out the sound of the waves and the wind. His massive body, like that of a small giant, kicked the sailor in front of him so hard that his sternum caved in, and he flew backward with a scream.

Without hesitation, he raised his hand and fired a shot.

Gunfire billowed smoke as a lead bullet pierced the shoulder of another sailor, instantly staining his linen clothes with blood.

Hawke's single eye gleamed with pure excitement. He licked the blood splattered on the corner of his mouth, relishing the desperate resistance and screams of the merchant ship's crew.

Captain Lyle's heart sank to the bottom. He swung his scimitar to parry the slashes of a pirate while keeping a close eye on the rampaging figure out of the corner of his eye.

Fast, accurate, and ruthless!

Hawke's every move was simple and effective, without any fancy techniques; it was purely a killing technique honed through countless life-and-death battles.

His strength was astonishing; with a single strike, he could cut deep cracks into the sturdy oak deck of the "Bang Bang Orange".

“We can’t fight head-on…” Lyle’s forehead was covered in cold sweat.

Ordinary crew members couldn't last more than three moves against him. Although he was experienced, he was not as old or physically strong as he was.

The only chance of victory might lie in the meticulously maintained and modified spear behind him.

Using the recoil from the parry, Lyle staggered backward, leaning against the mainmast, and quickly took the spear from his back.

The brass gun gleamed coldly in the setting sun. He took a deep breath, suppressing his racing heartbeat and trembling arms. He rested the butt of the gun against his shoulder, squinted one eye, and steadily aimed the sights at Hawke's bald head, which stood out conspicuously in the crowd.

At this critical moment, Hawke suddenly turned his head, and his intact single eye accurately pinpointed Lyle's location.

What sent chills down Lyle's spine even further was that Hawke, whom he was aiming at, did not panic or flinch. Instead, he grinned, revealing his teeth stained yellow from tobacco, and his eyes were practically overflowing with excitement.

This guy is enjoying the feeling of being stared at by death!

"Madman!" Lyle cursed under his breath, a strong sense of danger causing him to instinctively pull the trigger!

boom!

A flash of light appeared from the muzzle, and the lead bullet spun and tore through the air, heading straight for Hawke's face!

Almost at the same instant Lyle pulled the trigger, Hawke moved as well.

He didn't try to avoid it; instead, like a predator that had spotted its most challenging prey, he kicked off the deck and pounced straight at Lyle.

Faced with the whistling lead bullets, he didn't even dodge much; he simply flipped his wrist, and sparks exploded on the back of the blade.

Hawke actually managed to deflect the lead bullet away using the blade of his knife!

"Damn it!" Lyle's pupils shrank, and he immediately tried to draw his sword, but Hawke was too fast!

The distance between the two instantly disappeared, and Hawke's strong smell of blood and sweat assaulted the nostrils.

He leaped high into the air, and using the momentum of his charge, he brought his cleaver down on Lyle's head!

Lyle only had time to raise his empty musket horizontally to parry.

Click!

The gun barrel, forged from fine iron, was cut in two as easily as rotten wood, with a smooth break.

The terrifying force traveled through the broken gun, causing Lyle's tiger's mouth to split open, his arms to go numb, and his whole body to fly backward, crashing heavily into the mast, his vision going black for a moment.

"Little mouse! I'm going to gouge out your eyes and soak them in alcohol! Hahaha!"

Hawke laughed wildly, his blade moving without hesitation. With a flick of his wrist, he aimed the blade straight for Lyle's neck.

Lyle could even see the undried blood on the blade; the aura of death was chilling and piercing.

In that split second, a dusty gray stone suddenly flew sideways and appeared in Hawke's slashing trajectory.

"What the hell is that?" Hawke's single eye flashed with surprise.

Is this a stone? And there seems to be some kind of paper stuck to it?

Before he could think it through, a wooden barrel about half a person's height suddenly appeared out of thin air as a faint light flashed on the surface of the stone.

Hawke's seemingly inevitable strike landed squarely on the barrel.

Bang!

The wooden barrel shattered with a crash, but the expected scene of flying sawdust did not materialize. Instead, large chunks of sticky, grayish-white pickled fish meat, exuding a nauseatingly rotten and fishy smell, appeared.

The fish meat poured out instantly, drenching Hawke from head to toe.

"Ugh!!!" The stench instantly filled my nostrils, and a sticky, cold sensation covered my skin and clothes.

Hawke's fierce momentum faltered for a moment, his stomach churned, and his movements inevitably stiffened and became flustered for a brief instant.

"Who?! Which treacherous bastard is this?!" Hawk roared furiously, his one eye bloodshot.

Almost at the same time as he roared, a sharp whooshing sound suddenly rang out behind him, and a blade of light went straight for the back of his neck.

Even though he was disturbed by the stench and the sudden change, Hawke's fighting instincts still drove him to crouch down and twist his body, parrying with his thick-backed machete.

clang!

Another loud bang, and Hawke, who was holding the long sword with both hands, steadily blocked it with one hand, sparks flying where the blades met.

Hawke then saw the attacker clearly: a young man with black hair and black eyes, dressed neither like a sailor nor a merchant.

The other person was staring at him coldly, their arm still exerting force, and a tremendous force, no less than his own, came from the other side.

"Tsk, quick reaction, Scarface Hawk... no, I should call you Stinky Fish Hawk now." Morsen clicked his tongue, inwardly marveling at the guy's strength while coldly mocking him.

"Bastard! I'll skin you alive! I'll..." Hawke glared with his one eye, his anger rising from the stench emanating from his body and Morsen's mockery.

However, Mo Sen did not give him a chance to finish speaking. In the instant the two were locked in combat, a faint light suddenly flashed on the blade of Mo Sen's longsword.

puff!

A large cloud of pungent, dark red dust suddenly exploded in front of Hawke without warning.

It's like someone smashing a whole can of the strongest seasoning right in someone's face; this "hard control" method is simple but effective, and no one can avoid it.

"Ugh! Cough cough! Achoo! Achoo!!"

Hawke's angry curses instantly turned into painful screams and uncontrollable violent coughing and sneezing.

The pungent powder intensely irritated his eyes, nasal cavity, and throat, causing tears and snot to flow uncontrollably, blurring his vision instantly, leaving only a burning pain and a feeling of suffocation.

Now, no matter how strong or crazy he is, it's useless. Having lost his "vision" and being filled with "negative states," he can only swing his machete wildly like a headless fly, but he can't even touch the hem of Morsen's clothes as he retreats.

It's now!

Mosen's eyes sharpened. He didn't use his knife anymore, but instead raised his left hand, and another sticker was already between his fingers.

The sticker on it has sharp edges and a cold metallic sheen, and the image is of a short-handled throwing axe spinning and flying out.

This is a sharp throwing axe that he happened to "collect" from the previous wave of pirates.

He currently only has this one item in the form of the person carrying it, and he hasn't figured out the specific and stable collection process yet.

However, even though there is only one, it should be used when necessary, and now is the most appropriate time.

With a flick of his wrist, the sticker vanished into a faint glow, replaced by a blurry, cold light.

A throwing axe flew out swiftly and struck Hawke hard on the side of his neck.

scoff!

The sound of flesh tearing was dull and clear, and Hawke's frantic movements suddenly froze.

His single, bloodshot eye stared wide open as he looked down in disbelief, as if trying to see what was happening, but his vision was quickly swallowed by darkness.

Warm liquid gushed out from his neck like a fountain, staining his chest, which was covered in rotten fish scraps, and splashing onto Morsen's face.

"Hah...hah..." Hawk made a sound like a broken bellows in his throat. His huge body swayed and then crashed onto the deck, which was covered with fishy and bloody stains. He twitched twice and then fell silent.

The noisy deck fell into an eerie silence at this moment.

All the pirates stopped what they were doing and stared blankly at their once arrogant captain, now a "dead fish" lying sprawled on the ground.

The sailors on the merchant ship forgot to catch their breath, their astonished gazes shifting back and forth between the corpses of Mosen and Hawke.

Mo Sen slowly straightened up, wiped the warm bloodstains from his face, and felt the slight dizziness brought on by his rapidly beating heart.

Scar Hawke, whose bounty was 12 million peals, is dead.

He killed it with a bucket of rotten fish, a handful of chili powder mixed with pepper, and a "collected" axe sticker.

The sea breeze carried a heavy smell of blood and fish, and the setting sun dyed most of the sky and sea blood-red, reflecting the scene on the deck.

Mosen exhaled a long breath of foul air, which smelled of blood, and looked up at the remaining pirates, revealing a sinister smile.

"Now it's your turn, you damned bastards!"

Chapter 3, Surviving the Catastrophe

With Scar Hawke dead, the pirates' ferocious arrogance crumbled instantly.

Most pirates can't win when things are going against them. Once the most powerful and ruthless leader falls, the so-called "living and dying together" becomes a joke.

Fear spread rapidly among the remaining henchmen, and the bloodthirsty glint in their eyes was replaced by panic.

"Run! The captain is dead!"

"A Devil Fruit user! He's a Devil Fruit user!"

"Get back to the ship! Get out of here!"

Someone shouted first, and the remaining pirates, like a swarm of wasps disturbed, abandoned their armor and rushed frantically toward the gangplank connecting the two ships.

Some even went so far as to push their companions into the sea in order to get ahead of others.

They weren't blind; of course they saw the suddenly appearing stinky fish bucket, the pungent smoke that exploded out of thin air, and the flying axe that shot out from the void.

This kind of thing couldn't be the work of an ordinary person; it could only be a Devil Fruit, something possessed by those who are cursed by the sea yet have terrifying power!

The sailors on the merchant ship were stunned at first, then burst into roars of relief and ecstasy.

With their morale greatly boosted, they brandished their weapons and began to counterattack and pursue.

Although everyone was wounded and exhausted, the instinct for survival and the flames of revenge overwhelmed their physical limits.

Especially when Mosen silently joined the mopping-up operation, carrying his still-dripping longsword, the pirates were terrified, wishing they had two more legs.

The battle quickly turned into a one-sided expulsion.
