Although Regulus was a gentle man to Puni.
But this doesn't mean his other aspects have disappeared; they've just become much more composed and hidden away.
"Let's go, it's time to buy you a magic wand that's your own."
Regulus led Puni to Ollivander's wand shop.
Puni looked up.
That's pretty shabby.
The faded dark brown wooden door was mottled and peeling, the brass door was covered with dark green rust, and the window frames were shrouded in a layer of gray mist.
Even the gold lettering of "Olivander" above the door is missing a corner, hanging there crookedly, exuding a sense of desolation from a long time ago.
"Olivendine has been making fine wands since 382 BC."
Puni nodded. "It seems the craftsmanship is indeed quite good."
Regulus smiled and nodded: "There's only one wand-making shop in all of Britain, and it's a very established one. I bought my wand here."
He led Puni through the door.
"The wand you used before belonged to your mother, and it was ultimately not suitable for you. Now you can choose a wand that is entirely yours."
Puni nodded slightly: "Indeed, Mother's wand is never very handy."
If he hadn't baptized Bella's wand with holy light every day, it would probably have exploded every day.
"jingle"
Pushing open the creaking old wooden door, the copper bell hanging above the door immediately emitted a series of crisp sounds.
The store wasn't as cramped as I'd expected, and the air was filled with the smell of old wood and dry sawdust.
It's somber, yet possesses a unique quality.
There wasn't even a single extra light in the shop; only a few slivers of light shone through the tall windows overhead, which were covered in a thin layer of dust, making the entire shop somewhat dim.
"You should know that a wand chooses its master."
Regulus walked straight to the chair and sat down, gesturing for Puni to walk to the counter on the inside by himself.
"From the wood, core, and length of a wand, one can glimpse the spell range and magical potential of the wielder. These are the wizard's most core assets, and should not be easily revealed to others."
Puni walked up to the counter naturally: "Hey, good afternoon, is anyone here?"
"Oh, good afternoon, young sir." Suddenly, a ladder appeared from the shelf inside.
Puni looked up.
An elderly man, so thin he was almost unrecognizable, was slowly climbing down a walnut ladder.
He was clearly very old; his silver-white hair lay haphazardly on his wrinkled forehead, with a few strands falling beside his eyelids, yet unable to conceal his eyes.
Those were deep, grey-blue eyes with narrow, elongated pupils. The owner of those eyes stared intently at Puni, unmoving.
"Lesterrange? Oh, another outstanding young wizard is about to emerge from the family, how wonderful."
Those eyes lingered on his family crest.
Puni was certain that the old man hadn't finished speaking.
He probably meant to describe a declining and desolate family.
However, Puni didn't have anything worth reacting to.
He doesn't see his family as some kind of honor.
"Thank you, but I need a magic wand. Could you please help me find one?"
"Absolutely no problem, it's an honor to serve you."
Ollivander walked up to Puni and then pulled out a measuring tape from somewhere.
"Dominant hand?"
"Both are used frequently."
"Then use your right hand. Please raise your arm up, that's it."
The measuring tape jumped off Ollivander's hand and onto Puni's arm, where it began to take measurements little by little.
“Soon, I’ll go see which wands suit you.” Ollivander turned and walked away.
“Mr. Lestrange, only a few trees can be considered wood for making wands, just as only a few humans can use magic. I must tell you, Ollivander’s wands are all unique.”
“Of course, sir, every wand is different, just like twins have different names.” Puni nodded.
Ollivander paused, then laughed heartily: "A very interesting analogy."
He pulled out a box and held it in front of Puni: "Here, try this one, thirteen and a quarter inches, made of yew wood and Thestral tail feathers."
Puni took it from his hand and then casually waved it around.
Nothing happened.
"Huh? Strange magic." Ollivander touched his silver hair. "This is the first time I've ever seen a young wizard use a wand and it doesn't work."
Puni glanced at the wand in his hand: "I can feel that it's not receiving my magic."
“This wand once belonged to a fine wizard; it seems it’s not suitable for you.” Ollivander put the wand back in its box.
Puni glanced at the other person.
To use someone else's wand for yourself?
Still want to sell secondhand goods?
Actually, everyone was fooled by Ollivander.
He's a cunning old businessman.
"And this one? Ten inches, alder wood, dragon heartstring, hard yet flexible."
Puni waved his hand, and a burst of holy light erupted forth.
"this......"
Ollivander was stung by the sudden flashbang and tears streamed down his face. He pulled a handkerchief from his pocket, wiped his eyes, and put his wand away.
"Amazing and pure magic, it's truly incredible."
"Come, take a look at this one. It's from an African snake tree. That kind of tree is very hard to find. I only made one of these. It was custom-made for someone else. It's nine inches long and has an iron core."
Chapter 6 Unicorn Hair? You must be a very kind child.
Puni took the wand; the feel of it was very similar to his mother's.
With a gentle wave.
"Boom!"
A beam of holy light burst forth, grazing Ollivander's hair and blasting a hole in the shelf.
"Puni!" Regulus turned around immediately upon hearing the noise.
"Don't worry, Uncle, I'm fine." Puni smiled elegantly. "I'm sorry, Mr. Ollivander, I almost hurt you."
“It’s alright, it’s alright, I’m used to it.” Ollivander touched his hair and put the shelf back in its place. “Hehe, the magic of little wizards is always powerful and hard to control.”
“Then, take a look at this one.” Ollivander pulled out another wand. “Grapevine wood, unicorn hair, thirteen inches, perfect for… a little wizard with depth of heart.”
Puni hadn't even taken the wand yet, but just seeing it made her heart flutter.
He had a feeling that this wand would suit him perfectly.
Sure enough, as soon as he took the wand in his hand and waved it slightly, the boxes on the table flew up in an orderly fashion and then circled around Ollivander, swaying and dancing.
“Excellent! This wand is perfect for you!” Ollivander clapped his hands. “Unicorn hair and grapevine wood—you must be very kind and wise. That’s wonderful!”
Puni smiled and said, "Thank you. You are absolutely right. I am indeed very kind. Here are seven Galleons. Please take them."
The cards I bought from the Weasley twins will net me about ten Galleons in profit.
That means he didn't pay for the wand at all, and even made a profit!
This is a double win!
“Mr. Ollivander, we’ll take our leave now.”
Seeing that Puni had bought the wand he wanted, Regulus stood up.
Ollivander snapped out of his daze and nodded: "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Black. You saved many people during that disaster, and they will all be grateful to you."
Regulus didn't speak, but glanced at Puni before leaving Ollivander's wand shop with his nephew.
After going out.
Regulus sighed, "Puni, if it weren't for you, I'd probably be sent to Azkaban like that fool."
Puni really wanted to say to that unscrupulous merchant, "Why bring up these things for no reason?"
His younger uncle is going to scold his older uncle again!
"Ahem, Uncle, Death Eaters aren't breaking the law, but some of the things you did before did violate the law. But in the end, didn't you make the right choice?"
Upon hearing this, Regulus suddenly laughed again: "Yes, I packed all those people up and sent them to Azkaban, and I redeemed myself by being pardoned by Wizengamo."
Puni shrugged: "That's because you haven't done anything heinous, Uncle, so the Ministry of Magic will help you."
The two strolled around for a while, bought some things casually, and then returned to the Golden Dragon Magic Game Club.
Just then, a group of people finished playing Werewolf and left the store.
Puni and Regulus went inside.
"Welcome! Are you looking to buy a card or join the game?"
The woman leaning against the bar looked up. Her wine-red curly hair was loosely tied back, revealing her slender white neck. Her fitted black silk shirt outlined her graceful curves, and the hem of her skirt barely covered her knees.
She started with a professional smile, but her eyes lit up when she saw who it was, and she immediately straightened up, her tone becoming familiar and warm: "Boss, you're here? I just saw off a group of people playing Werewolf. Are you here to rest for a bit, or do you want to see the new cards?"
The Golden Dragon Battle can be played directly on a chessboard without human intervention, but Werewolf is best played with a God controlling the game.
So Puni also hired someone to help him manage the shop, and also to act as a controller if anyone wanted to play Werewolf in the shop.
