"Liqun, let's get off and look at another car."

The old man got out of the used Toyota, which cost $15,000, with Liqun and headed toward the Mazda, which cost $6,500.

"Sir, are you sure you want to take a look at this Mazda? But it's also a Japanese car."

“I never said I hate Japanese cars. The price of that car just now wasn’t right for me,” Dad said.

"This Mazda has 220,000 miles on it, has been repaired in many places, and has rust on the body. If it were me, I wouldn't choose this car."

"Then let's look at something else."

"Of course, you can also take a look at German cars. German cars are much better than Japanese cars." Wade maintained his stiff professional smile.

After browsing through a bunch of expensive used cars like Porsche, BMW, Audi, and Mercedes, Dad finally returned to choosing from the smaller Japanese cars.

In the end, my dad chose a Mazda with an engine that had been repaired, around 90,000 miles on the odometer, in good condition, with no accidents and complete maintenance records.

During the half-hour test drive, the Mazda performed flawlessly, leaving my father extremely satisfied.

"Any other questions? If not, we can proceed with the formalities," Wade asked.

"That's all." The old man nodded to Wade with satisfaction.

“Okay.” Wade’s smile at this moment was genuine.

"Can I have your phone number?" Li Qun asked Wade.

"You can write this down there."

Wade turned and pointed to the phone number on the huge billboard of a used car dealership next to Li Qun.

“I want Wade’s phone number,” Li Qun said.

"……Um?"

Wade Wilson looked at Li Qun with suspicion, and finally nodded.

"Okay, you guys are really difficult to deal with. My after-sales service is very expensive."

Back at the used car dealership's service area, Wade frantically helped his father resolve issues related to the used car's ownership and license plate, and checked insurance company rates. It was clear that Wade, sweating profusely, wasn't doing very well in his usual sales.

“In about a week, this car will be entirely yours, Mr. Jack,” Wade said to his father as he sat down after submitting the documents.

"Do we have to wait another week?" Li Qun asked.

"It will take two weeks if things go slowly."

“Of course, we’re a legitimate used car dealership, and my job is a legitimate job too. With any other dealership, you could drive away the same day,” Wade emphasized to Li Qun.

"Wow, it's almost time to get off work..." Wade glanced at his watch.

"We should be going now, thank you Wade." The old man smiled and shook hands with Wade.

After Li Qun and his father left, Wade went to the locker room to change out of his work clothes, clocked out, and rode his bicycle back to his rented apartment.

Once again, Wade Wilson stepped out of the apartment wearing a sharp suit. He reluctantly hailed a taxi and headed to his destination, his expression grave.

Wade was invited to a housewarming party by an old friend who had just bought a house in New York.

Wade knocked on the door, but he didn't ring the doorbell.

"Hey, Wade."

"Hi, Baba Yaga."

“Don’t call me by that name. I’ve been retired for three years,” John Wick whispered to Wade Wilson.

"Okay, John."

"You were behind that big news in New York three years ago, weren't you?" Wade whispered in John's ear.

“Yeah…” John replied softly.

"I applied for retirement, and their condition for me was that I help them eliminate all their enemies..."

“Oh, your retirement conditions are much stricter than mine,” Wade said in a low voice.

“They’ve had enough of your mouth and are just hoping you quit,” John whispered in Wade’s ear.

"Has anyone contacted you in the three years since you retired?" Wade asked.

"Has anyone been looking for you?" John asked in a low voice.

"NO."

"I don't have any either."

After exchanging information, the two retired legendary assassins confirmed that they were indeed retired.

“I thought I was your only friend in New York. Who are they?” Wade asked John.

“This is Peter Parker, May’s nephew. May helped us a lot with buying a house for me and Helen.”

John introduced Wade to everyone, explaining that besides Aunt May and Peter, the other people at the housewarming party were the neighbors.

"Hello, Peter. I'm Wade, John's best friend."

Hello Wade.

Chapter 63 I'll Teach You How to Shoot When I Have Time

"I'm sorry, I didn't bring anything. You don't mind, do you?"

Wade noticed that everyone else who came to John's housewarming party had brought food, and he shamelessly ate most of the fried beef dumplings that someone had brought.

The fried dumplings were a bit greasy, so Wade secretly opened a bottle of red wine from John's wine cabinet and started drinking it.

"Looks like you're not doing so well in retirement," John said to Wade, holding up a two-liter beer mug.

"What do you do for a living now?" John asked.

“Used car sales,” Wade answered honestly. “If you have any unwanted used cars, you can sell them to me.”

"What's the pay like? I don't know much about this kind of job."

“It’s boring, and my income is barely enough to support my current lifestyle,” Wade replied.

“Who told you not to save money before?” John smiled.

“And what about you? I thought you would leave New York, leave the city where your career began and ended,” Wade said.

“My wife is sick, and only hospitals in New York have a chance of curing her,” John replied.

"What disease?"

"It's cancer. We've already made an appointment at Caitlin Cancer Center Hospital, and we can see the doctor tomorrow."

Caitlin Cancer Center is a world-leading specialist hospital for cancer treatment and research, with particular expertise in the treatment of breast cancer, lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and hematologic malignancies, offering the most cutting-edge treatment methods.

Wade glanced at Helen, who was talking to Aunt May, but couldn't tell from her that she was sick.

"How much money have you saved?" Wade asked in a low voice.

How much did you pay for this house?

“Do you need a housekeeper or driver at home? I think I can handle that,” Wade said.

"Don't disturb Helen and me in our private time."

“Have you considered the worst-case scenario?” Wade asked John.

“What do you mean by the worst consequences?” John lowered his voice.

“It can’t be cured,” Wade said.

“I will stay with her until the end of my life,” John said.

Wade nodded, picked up the bottle of red wine in his hand, and took a sip.

“You opened my most expensive red wine.” John took a deep breath.

“We’re best friends, aren’t we?” Wade said.

“Not anymore, just the second best friend,” John said calmly.

“Peter.”

John Wick beckoned to Peter Parker, who was eating a piece of sponge cake.

“What is it, Mr. John?” Peter asked as he walked over.

"Helen and I are going to the hospital tomorrow. Could you watch the house for us for a while?"

“Of course, Mr. John.”

“If anyone comes looking for me, I tell them I’ve gone to Caitlin Cancer Center,” John told Peter.

“Okay, I’ll take good care of the house.” Peter smiled at John.

“I’ll teach you how to shoot when I have time,” John said to Peter.

"Shooting? Is that what you mean?"

Peter made a shooting gesture with his hand, and John smiled and nodded at Peter.

"This is how you should hold a gun."

John corrected Peter's hand movements.

“Oh, kid, you’ve hit the jackpot. John’s shooting lessons are really expensive. Mine are cheaper, and I can teach you to shoot too.”

"Peter, do you have a girlfriend?"

"Not yet, Mr. Wade."

Peter was a little afraid of the overly friendly Wade Wilson.

"You can find a boyfriend even if you don't have a girlfriend, I'm just kidding."

Peter almost stopped breathing when he heard Wade mention his boyfriend.

"I'm male, I like women, I'm heterosexual, don't get the wrong idea," Wade explained to Peter with a grin.

"Peter, how old are you?"

"I'm 16, I can't drink alcohol yet."
