“I plan to think about these two things again next semester. You know, I still have psychological trauma.”
Peter nodded and apologized.
“However, I can promise to teach me calculus in advance,” Li Qun said.
Peter chose the AP courses Calculus, Computer Principles, Physics: Mechanics, and Chemistry. In Li Qun's eyes, Peter was a human prodigy who had mastered calculus at the age of 16. Even if he couldn't become Spider-Man, the good neighbor of New York, he would still be a scientific giant who would lead human technology forward.
Just as his cousin Shuangxi wanted to latch onto Liqun's coattails, Liqun now wants to cling to Peter's spider leg.
After retrieving his belongings from the locker, Li Qun slung his backpack over his shoulder and walked out of the teaching building.
"If you want it, come and get it yourself."
Upon hearing Fleiss's voice, Liqun knew without even looking that he was bullying his classmate again.
One of the Black students also wore thick glasses, was very thin and short, and it was obvious that he ate poorly and was somewhat malnourished.
Flash held Xiao Hei's glasses high, and Xiao Hei jumped up and down, reaching for the glasses in Flash's hand.
Give him back his glasses.
“Leon?” Frye Thompson turned his head.
"How dare you talk to me like that?!" The 1.9-meter-tall Fraser looked at the 1.75-meter-tall Li Qun.
"This guy bumped into me and then tried to run away with his head down!" Flash shouted at Li Qun.
"Am I right?"
Flash stared down at the black guy, who nodded timidly.
“In this situation, all he needs to do is apologize,” Li Qun said.
“But he didn’t apologize to me.” Frye smiled at Li Qun, his eyes filled with malice.
"Here you go, his glasses."
Suddenly, Flash threw Little Black Guy's glasses at Li Qun's head, trying to teach Li Qun a lesson for meddling.
Li Qun caught the glasses with his hand, without blinking.
"..." Frye was stunned.
He realized he didn't really know this transfer student; he spent all his time with Peter but wasn't the same type of nerd as Peter Parker.
"Here you go, and apologize to Flash."
Li Qun returned the glasses to their owner, and Xiao Hei, realizing what had happened, apologized to Fraser and quickly ran away.
As someone with moderate to high myopia, Li Qun's most hated behavior is taking away other people's glasses to bully them.
Li Qun wouldn't have spoken up against Flash under any other circumstances, but the act of teasing Xiao Hei Ge with glasses immediately stung Li Qun's heart.
Chapter 6 I Really Don't Know Kung Fu
After leaving the school gate, Liqun walked towards the bus stop.
To get from school to my uncle's house in Chinatown, I need to walk 800 meters to the nearby bus stop, take the bus for nine stops, get off, and then walk another 800 meters to my house.
After leaving home in the morning, he has to wait for the earliest bus at 7:00 AM. If he misses it, he doesn't want to be late, so his uncle has to drive him to school.
Every day, Liqun would arrive at school just in the last few minutes.
Li Qun doesn't take the school bus, and the Midtown High School bus route doesn't go to Chinatown. He might be the first Midtown High School student whose home is in Chinatown.
After walking about 500 meters, Li Qun vaguely sensed that someone was secretly following him.
It can't be Lightning; that guy never does things secretly.
Li Qun deliberately took a detour, walking an extra 200 meters before turning into a small alley, wanting to see who was following him.
"It's you?"
Little Blackie barged in recklessly at the alley entrance.
"Why are you following me?" Liu Liqun asked, looking at the small, thin Xiao Hei with a puzzled expression.
Xiao Hei looked around and, seeing that no one was paying attention to the two of them in the alley, knelt down and kowtowed repeatedly to Li Qun.
"Master west! Master Xi!! Please teach me kung fu!!"
Stereotypes +2…
"Get up!!"
"Please take me as your apprentice! I want to learn kung fu!"
Li Qun bent down and tried to pull Xiao Hei Ge up, but the other man seemed to be stuck to the ground and he couldn't be pulled up no matter how hard he tried.
"Raise your head! I won't accept any apprentices who don't listen to me," Li Qun said coldly.
"Alright, Xifu, I'll get up now..."
The black man stood up; his forehead, where he had kowtowed on the ground, was dirty.
"What's your name?"
“My name is Drey Hansen,” the black man replied.
Why do you think I know kung fu?
"Wouldn't it be possible?" Derry retorted.
"I really don't know how."
“I understand.” Derek smiled sheepishly and nodded to Liqun.
"west Fu, are you going home so early to practice your martial arts?"
"No, I just went home to read." Li Qun was somewhat speechless.
Is reading a form of spiritual practice?
"Can't you clear your head a bit?" Li Qun couldn't help but want to tap Little Black Reid's forehead to see if he had bumped his head on Flash Thompson's eight-pack abs and gone mad.
"There's nothing wrong with my head."
"I've always wanted to become stronger, to learn kung fu, so that no one will bully me anymore."
“Leon, you are the first person I’ve met who is most likely to take me on as his apprentice,” Reid said earnestly to Li Qun.
"Teach me kung fu!"
Seeing Li Qun's reluctant expression, Reid immediately lay down on the ground and hugged Li Qun's legs.
"I'm truly impressed."
"But I really don't know kung fu."
Li Qun was still refusing when Reid, who was clinging to Li Qun's leg, saw three pairs of feet walk to the alley entrance and block them both inside.
"Hey, what are you two doing here?"
The situation at Liqun is not good.
With a population of nearly ten million, New York City faces safety issues comparable to those in Gotham City.
Reid nimbly stood up and hid behind Li Qun.
The three Mexican men with tattoos on their necks were not just petty thugs; they might be members of a New York street gang.
"This is our land, and you've made a mess of it," the leader of the Mexican thugs said to Li Qun.
“Let us go,” Li Qun said.
"We'll let you two go if you compensate us."
"I have no money," Li Qun said.
"Then I'll teach you two a lesson."
Three Mexican thugs surrounded Li Qun and Reid.
"No, why are we going to get beaten up?" Li Qun was speechless.
This development was completely unimaginable for Li Qun, who used to live in China.
Little Black guy Red looked back into the alley and saw that at the end of the alley behind them was a locked iron gate with barbed wire on top.
There was no way to escape from the other end of the alley.
Today I'm going to get my image shattered.
As Reid pondered this, he suddenly looked at Li Qun with renewed excitement.
Master Lyon definitely knows kung fu. He caught the glasses that Flash threw at him with a flick of his wrist, and the glasses weren't even broken. He can definitely teach these three Mexicans a lesson.
The Mexican thug walked up to Li Qun and raised his hand to slap Li Qun's glasses.
He knows exactly how to deal with guys with glasses; once you knock their glasses off, they're like blind men.
Li Qun wasn't about to wait for his glasses to be knocked off; he reached out, hooked the thug's wrist, and swung his hand away.
The thug next to him reached for Li Qun's backpack, but Li Qun reacted quickly, grabbing the thug's fingers and pushing him backward forcefully. The thug stumbled backward in pain.
With his fingers gathered into a beak shape, Li Qun struck the thug's armpit with his other hand, causing the thug to jump up in pain and let out a strange scream.
"Cool!!" Reed exclaimed softly.
With another clean and swift kick, Li Qun delivered a powerful blow to the inside of the thug's thigh, knocking him down on the spot.
"..."
For the gang leader and the other thug who was standing, what had just happened happened in the blink of an eye; they didn't even have time to help their comrade before they fell down.
This yellow-skinned kid seems to know kung fu!
Taking advantage of the moment when the gang leader and another gangster were stunned, Li Qun quickly grabbed Xiao Hei Rui De behind him and ran away, knocking the gangsters to the ground and rushing out of the alley.
When they collided, Li Qun raised his elbow and delivered a headbutt to the thug's chest, making Li Qun's own elbow hurt.
He dragged Reed along and ran all the way to the bus stop before stopping and panting heavily.
"Huff... huff huff..."
“west Fu… I think I know those three guys… They specialize in robbing students…” Reid explained to Li Qun while panting.
