"Because Parker is easier to pronounce."
Peter smiled again; he understood what Li Qun meant.
Now he's the only one in the whole school who can pronounce Li Qun's name correctly, while everyone else uses "Leon" instead.
Hi everyone!
"Ok?"
Li Qun and Peter looked up and were surprised to find themselves being approached by a very hot girl. She was also quite beautiful, with long, black hair.
“She’s an upperclassman,” Peter whispered in Li Qun’s ear.
"May I sit next to you, Lyon?"
"You know me?"
Liqun seems to be considering leaving.
"Are you a couple?" the older girl asked.
“No, that’s not true, we are heterosexual.” Peter and Li Qun both stood up in alarm.
"What were you doing just now? I saw you holding his hand."
"Do you know about an ancient Eastern form of prophecy? I was just showing Peter his future."
"Really? Can you take a look at mine too?"
The older girl extended her palm to Liqun, not allowing him to refuse.
"What do you want to know? Love, career, or..."
"Anything is fine, just tell me what will happen in the future," the girl said with a smile.
"Well……"
"This line represents your family. The fact that it branches off here may be an indication of a major change in your family in the future, such as your parents getting a divorce."
The smile froze on the older girl's face; she became somewhat nervous.
When will it happen?
"Within ten years?" Li Qun said vaguely.
"Thank you."
The girl pulled her hand back, forced a smile, and went to chat with someone else.
“A polite refusal,” Peter said, turning to Li Qun.
"Let's go get something to eat, we're already here."
Chapter 12 The Goldfish's Memory Lasts Only Seven Seconds
Li Qun took a plate, casually grabbed some food from the dining table, and returned to the backyard. Peter, puzzled, followed Li Qun back to the wall with the plate and sat down.
"what happened to you?"
"The flavor inside is too strong," Li Qun replied with a frown.
What does it taste like?
"The smell of a physical education student," Li Qun replied.
Do I have it on me?
"Your scent is quite mild, I can tolerate it."
Peter sniffed himself and then sniffed Liqun, finding that Liqun only smelled of laundry detergent and had no other body odor.
“This is the first time I’ve realized this,” Peter said in surprise.
“I was aware of this problem the moment I woke up in this world.”
“That’s quite poetic,” Peter joked.
“I’m unlikely to date a white girl,” Li Qun said.
Because of the taste?
That's one aspect.
Peter smiled and shook his head.
Li Qun ate the food on his plate in a sullen mood. The food tasted so-so, and was considered unpalatable by his Aurora palate.
After finishing his meal, Liqun put the plate back in the kitchen. He glanced at the table; the fried dumplings he had brought had all been eaten, and he hadn't had a chance to eat a single one.
"Hey, Lyon, we heard you have incredible Eastern precognitive abilities. Can you take a look at us?" Several cheerleading girls surrounded Li Qun.
"It's not convenient. I've already predicted the future for two people today. Seeing a few more would shorten my lifespan," Li Qun said casually, offering himself a reason.
"Oh, really?"
“See you at school on Monday.” The girls were not going to give up on letting Li Qun predict their future.
"Why don't you play games with the boys? Why are you being so serious?" the girls asked.
"Their game?"
Li Qun looked at the group of physical education students led by Frys.
These guys are playing games like slapping contests, arm wrestling contests, and all sorts of other games that they don't understand but seem really cool, all for the fun of hurting themselves.
"Don't you think that's silly?"
"You think so too?" The girls gathered around Li Qun and started chatting, throwing out all sorts of questions to get his opinion.
Li Qun felt that his answer was normal and in line with his values, but the girls exclaimed and screamed after hearing his answer, as if they had met a mysterious Eastern sage.
A rugby ball flew over the girls' heads and hit Li Qun squarely on the head.
"Feel sorry!"
A large hand reached out and took the rugby ball from Li Qun's hand.
"Be more careful next time." Li Qun knew he was being targeted again.
"Are you alright? Let us take a look at you."
It seemed to have the opposite effect; the girls pulled Li Qun down to sit and carefully examined his head, which had been hit.
The girls' perfumes were almost suffocating him.
"Leon, you don't look well."
"Yes, I need to go outside and get some fresh air!!"
"Excuse me, may I step out for a moment?"
The girls made way for Li Qun, and he was finally able to escape.
She sat down next to Peter, who looked on with envy.
"You're really popular."
“I think two girls are interested in you,” Peter said to Li Qun seriously.
"Do you remember what my aunt told me?"
"Oh, so you're giving up? They're quite pretty."
“I don’t want this kind of fleeting liking,” Li Qun said to Peter.
“Yes, I know. The people of Aurora are reserved in their love for one person; they don’t express it easily,” Peter said. “Me too.”
Li Qun also laughed.
"Why don't we go? We've had enough time to kill," Li Qun said.
“Okay, I’ve wanted to leave for a while now,” Peter replied.
"Flash! We're leaving now!"
"What? I can't hear what you're saying?"
"I said, we're going home now! Have fun!"
"Okay! You can go now!"
Li Qun and Peter left the Fries house and returned the way they came.
Footsteps sounded behind them. Peter turned around and saw the red-haired girl running towards them.
“Hey Mary Jane, aren’t you going to keep playing?” Peter asked.
Mary Jane walked side by side with Peter and Li Qun, and smiled at them.
“I feel like I need to go home too; I can’t stay out too late,” Mary Jane said to Peter.
“I remember Peter telling me that you and Peter are neighbors, Mary Jane?” Li Qun asked Mary Jane.
"That's right, we became neighbors eight years ago."
Li Qun went back in time and found that Mary Jane and Peter became neighbors during their elementary school years.
“Peter, has our relationship deteriorated?” Mary Jane asked Peter.
"What? We're still friends?" Peter was taken aback.
I feel like you're avoiding me.
“Because we’ve all grown up, we can’t be like we were when we were little,” Peter replied.
"What did you do when you were little?" Li Qun asked the two of them with a gossipy look.
“Peter was quite interesting as a child, completely different from his current personality.”
"He speaks very directly and is also very humorous."
"For example?" Li Qun wanted Mary Jane to give an example.
"When I was a child, I had a goldfish, and one day it suddenly died."
“Peter comforted me by saying that goldfish only have a seven-second memory and that it had already forgotten me,” Mary Jane said, laughing as Peter’s face turned bright red.
