Fairy Tail Space Mage

It's a spell used to repair items. It only works on items and consumes a significant amount of magic power. Furthermore, it has a limitation: if an item's damage rate exceeds one percent, it cannot be repaired.

What does this mean? For example, if a vase breaks, no matter how badly it breaks, as long as every single piece is intact, it can be repaired.

However, if one of the pieces is lost, and that piece accounts for more than one percent of the vase itself, the vase cannot be repaired.

Despite these limitations, and the fact that it couldn't be used in combat, Sora felt incredibly fortunate to have obtained a time magic spell!

At the very least, one can deepen their understanding of time and space through practice and contemplation. And another point, of course, is that one can earn money by using it to repair valuable items!

This is very important, because you can't get anywhere without money!

Without delay, having just mastered the memory restoration technique, Kong began experimenting and practicing in the "Ancient Library".

There are also some damaged books in the "Ancient Library". Although the damaged books in the library can be repaired by the library's own super magic every once in a while, if the books were already damaged before they were put into the library, the super magic in the library will have no effect at all.

And there are actually quite a few books like this. They have all become objects for practicing "memory restoration techniques".

However, not every damaged book can be repaired by simply filling in the blanks. Those with blurred or stained text can be repaired. But those missing pages—only two or three pages missing—are fine, but if too many pages are missing, filling in the blanks is insufficient.

Furthermore, while practicing "Memory Restoration Spell," Kong discovered a pattern. He found that the larger the book, the more severe the damage, and the longer the damage had occurred, the more magical energy was required to restore it. He began to understand why this restoration spell was categorized as time-related magic.

Then, those missing pages were miraculously repaired out of thin air, leaving Sora in awe of the wonder of magic and explaining why the spell was called "Memory Restoration Spell".

That's right, it can repair damaged items by extracting memories; however, it extracts the memories of the items themselves, not the memories of living beings. Thanks to this, Sora quickly discovered two things that were extremely useful to it!

The first is a method for crafting a spatial ring. It's not difficult to make, and the materials are readily available; Kong plans to craft one once he has gathered all the materials. The second is a spatial magic circle spell—"Shield of the Void."

Perhaps because they were so valuable, the pages containing them were torn from the book by a selfish reader. If Sora hadn't possessed "memory restoration magic," he might never have been able to see them again.

"Magic circle magic" is a type of magic that involves drawing a magic circle with one's mind and then activating it to produce an effect. Basically, they are not much different from ordinary magic, but upon closer inspection, differences can be found.

Because "magic circle magic" can not only be used like ordinary magic, but it can also be inscribed on objects. In this way, it can replenish its magic power on its own and function without requiring the caster to continuously provide magic to maintain it.

The teleportation array that Kong set up near the "Ancient Library" is actually a type of magic array.

As a magic spell named "Shield," "Sky Shield" truly lives up to its name as a shield-type magic.

When used, it consumes 100 units of magic power to create a transparent, flat, circular shield with a diameter of 1 meter at the selected location. Increasing the magic power output will increase the shield's area, but its defensive capabilities will not increase.

Additionally, after testing it out, I found that its defensive effect is quite good against both physical and magical attacks. Single-target magic attacks with less than 1000 MP (mana) cannot easily break through it.

The "Shield of the Sky" isn't particularly strong defensively, but it might prove useful against wide-area magical attacks. Sora decides to master it!

After a week, Kong finally gathered all the materials needed to make a spatial ring. He then rented an alchemy table from a magic workshop and spent another three days creating his first spatial ring – “Tears of Kong”.

This name wasn't chosen arbitrarily; it's its original name as recorded in the book. Made primarily of star crystals, it's set in a black metal ring. In the dark, the ring emits a faint, soft blue glow, hence the name "Tear of the Sky."

It's worth mentioning that the "Starry Sky Crystal" purchased from the air is only the size of a grain of rice, but it costs nearly 50 J, which is extremely expensive!

However, seeing the 8-cubic-meter interior of the finished "Tear of the Sky," Sora didn't feel too much pain. After all, by taking on repair commissions, Sora's monthly income was close to 100 million J.

Although opening "Tears of the Void" consumes 2 units of magic power, Kong doesn't think it's too much when he thinks that other types of mages need to consume ten times that amount—20 units of magic power—to open "Tears of the Void."

This is also why spatial items are not popular on the continent of Asland. The larger the space within a spatial item, the more magic power it consumes to open it. Chapter 007 Encounter

Before we knew it, May was almost over, and June was just around the corner. No one could remain unmoved by a girl crying in the dead of night. The air conditioner turned and headed towards a firelight by the roadside. Then, he saw three children huddled together.

Kong's appearance was peculiar; he descended silently, as if stepping on something transparent, slowly landing in front of the campfire.

With a bit more financial freedom, Kong got some nicer clothes. Black jacket, black pants, black fingerless gloves, black sneakers… Anyone familiar with light armor brands would immediately recognize it as the standard “Black Knight Set.” Although it looks like synthetic clothing, the “Black Knight” is actually classified as leather armor and can only be bought at armor stores.

It's made from the hide of a snake-like magical beast, which is not only warm in winter and cool in summer, but also very stretchy and comfortable to wear. However, that's not its biggest advantage; its greatest strength lies in its excellent defense against slashing and projectile attacks.

“Our parents passed away a year ago…” In the end, the youngest girl among them, who was the bravest, answered blankly.

"..." Kong fell silent upon hearing the little girl's answer. He looked at the three children in front of him again, and a feeling of pity unconsciously appeared in his eyes.

"Sleeping here on a night like this...don't you have a home?" Kong composed himself and continued to ask.

“We have a home, but we can’t go back.” This time, it was the second oldest boy who answered.

"Is that so... Then, do you have somewhere to go?" Sora didn't ask any further questions. From the eyes of the oldest girl in the middle, whose eyes were red from crying, Sora could see that she didn't want to talk about the past.

Hearing Kong's question, the girl and boy both looked at their older sister, unsure how to answer. They clearly didn't know where to go. Their sister, whom they were relying on, looked flustered and confused as they both turned to her.

“Come with me… I used to be like you, but I received help from others and now I have a place to belong. Now, it’s my turn to help you.” Kong saw them like this, lowered his head in silence for a while, and then looked at them and said.

However, Sora's sudden appearance and his unexpected words left the three siblings unsure how to react. They didn't know whether Sora was trustworthy.

They are at their most helpless and vulnerable right now, and of course, they are also most vigilant! Especially the older sister in the middle, for the safety of her younger siblings, she has to be more cautious than anyone else!

Sora sensed that the girl in the middle wanted to reject him. After all, Sora was someone of unknown origin, and his appearance was so strange. However, Sora didn't intend to completely persuade her.

"Grab my arm, I'll take you away from here first. This isn't a place to sleep; monsters will appear at night." Kong didn't return their luggage but instead stretched out his arm.

The three siblings were initially reluctant to comply, but after hearing the word "Warcraft," they hesitated for a moment before extending their hands. Strangely, the eldest sister, despite being in a position where extending her right hand would have been more convenient, chose to extend her left. She seemed to be intentionally concealing her right hand.

In the blink of an eye, Kong brought the three children to the Ancient Library.

"Follow!"

Without giving them time to marvel, Sora beckoned them to follow him. Then, he led them to the location of the teleportation magic circle, activated it, and returned them to Sora's dormitory.

Chapter 008 Mira

Although they were just three children, there were still three of them, and bringing them back to the dormitory had almost exhausted all of his magical energy. The three children, curiously observing the empty dormitory, remained obediently silent.

The Fairy Tail dormitory costs 10 J per month, which isn't cheap, but the conditions are excellent. It has a separate bedroom, bathroom (toilet), living room, and balcony. The kitchen and living room are connected, but spacious enough that there's nothing to complain about.

The empty dormitory room had very little furniture (the living room didn't even have a coffee table or sofa), making it feel even more spacious. If it weren't for the three bookshelves (one in the living room and two in the bedroom), it wouldn't look like a place where anyone lived. Of course, the empty kitchen was basically never used except for boiling water and making herbal soup.

The way a person's home is decorated can reflect their personality and character. After the three children discovered that Kong was a simple person who loved reading, their wariness towards him lessened considerably.

"You can spend the night here. Tomorrow, I will take you to see the guild master. That way, you can join the guild." After Kong regained her mana, she stood up again and said to the three siblings.

"Guild...what guild?" The eldest of the three sisters, upon hearing Sora's words and recalling Sora's previous behavior, seemed to have realized something and couldn't help but ask.

Because of the ample indoor lighting, Sora could clearly see the faces of the three siblings. All three were adorable, especially the older sister, who was breathtakingly cute, like an angel who had flown out of a church mural! Even the usually calm and collected Sora couldn't help but be momentarily lost in thought.

"You're a mage...can you...take a look at this for me?" The eldest of the three siblings didn't notice Sora's lapse in composure. She hesitated for a moment, but still extended her hidden right hand in front of Sora.

"This is……"

Sora was somewhat awestruck when he saw the arm before him, covered in black scales and inlaid with beautiful gems, yet strangely, because of its slender and long shape, it didn't appear ferocious. He couldn't help but reach out and gently grasp the arm that trembled with nervousness, quietly exclaiming, "So beautiful!"
