"But similarly, the Mefilas aliens also gave us humans a chance, and that was Rentaro."

"Rentaro, you had at least two ways to fulfill your request: one was to kill humans, and the other was to kill all the cursed children... But you didn't do either of those things. Rentaro, you've squandered the opportunity that it gave us humans."

Rentaro Satomi froze... He really couldn't refute this at all.

"As expected of the granddaughter of the most cold-blooded politician and prime minister in the Tokyo area, Tendo Kikunojo, although you have fallen out with your grandfather, you are still very knowledgeable and have a good mindset because you have been the child of a politician since you were a child. Your IQ is not low either."

Hiruko Kagetane was lavish in his praise, clearly acknowledging Tendo Kisara's guess, as he shared the same thought.

"You flatter me. I was only able to deduce these things because I have Rentaro, who has direct contact with the Mefilas aliens, and knows everything."

Tendo Kisara clenched his fist in frustration and said, "But even so, it's just a guess."

Upon hearing this, Hiruko Kagetane laughed.

Although it wasn't just Tendo Kisara who was guessing, he had evidence.

“I started monitoring immediately after I separated from Rentaro more than a month ago. I was monitoring a large number of people in the Tokyo area who were obviously newly transformed from the Cursed Children into humans, and observing their subsequent lives.”

Although their appearance has changed to human, the reactions of those who have just been transformed from the Cursed Children are all exactly the same, making them very easy to understand. If you have personally witnessed the Mefilas aliens trading with the Cursed Children, you can tell them apart with just one glance.

The reason it is described as "a large number" rather than "all" is because Hiruko Kagetane is only one person and cannot be in two places at once; otherwise, he would very much like to follow and monitor all the cursed children in the Tokyo area.

"During this month-long monitoring period, I discovered something very interesting."

Hiruko Kagetane bowed respectfully, showing humility, modesty, and reverence for "that person," and said:

"The cursed child who, after becoming human, is content with simply enjoying the pleasures of being human, having enough to eat and wear, and not being discriminated against, is treated very differently from the cursed child who, after becoming human, chooses to vigorously discriminate against and persecute new cursed children."

"Even if they sometimes secretly curse the humans who bullied them and show no sympathy for the new cursed children, even so, well..."

"Even so, in the latter half of the month, even when they encountered the army of the newly cursed children, they were able to escape unscathed and without any danger, forever avoiding all harm, only ending up covered in dust and dirt."

"As for the latter, those who, after becoming human, see others persecuting the new Cursed Children, or even join other humans in actively discriminating against and persecuting the new Cursed Children before others have even begun to persecute them..."

"Even if they were very lucky and escaped the search of all the new cursed children without even being frightened, or even if no new cursed children would have gone to their hiding place in the first place."

"But in the end, they will still be in danger due to various coincidences, and may even have their lives ended, or die a miserable death."

At this point, Hiruko Kageyuki paused for a long time.

Tendo Kisara, Satomi Rentaro, Aihara Enju, and the hundreds of other former cursed children in this dilapidated building were all on edge, their faces ashen.

Is this a coincidence, a chance occurrence, or just luck?

While it's possible to speculate in this way, it's hard to believe it's really just a coincidence from any perspective!

If this kind of thing can happen, then it means—

"Yes."

Hiruko Kagetane bowed humbly and respectfully, performing the utmost courtesy reserved for a distinguished guest. He was not only physically but also spiritually utterly subdued and filled with awe, and said respectfully:

"That great being once gave humanity a chance, and then gave the cursed children a chance, before letting the world receive its due punishment. But I suspect this will not be the final outcome."

"All of you present here, those who, after becoming human, did not turn around and discriminate against and persecute the old cursed children who are now the new cursed children, your very existence is proof that that great one is willing to look down upon this place again!"

boom!

Hiruko Kagetane eagerly awaited the words of that lord.

The next second, the Mefilas aliens finally reappeared!

……

……

P.S.: It's New Year's Eve again. Thinking back to the last New Year's Eve, it was just before the Ultra Constellation was about to shine, when the Mefilas aliens were writing letters to persuade the entire Land of Light to surrender.

Whether you've been following this book since then or since later, it's all thanks to your support that we've been able to spend two Lunar New Year's Eves and New Year's Days with the same book.

Bless you all, meow!

Volume 1: 521. Hiruko Kagetane: I am the protagonist, you are the supporting character!

521. Hiruko Kagetane: I am the protagonist, you are the supporting character!

"Hehe...Are you guys talking about me?"

Accompanied by a soft laugh, it was elegant, refined, polite, courteous, and graceful.

With all such praises combined, no one could find fault with it. The wicked gentleman from the universe, the Mefilas alien, quietly and unexpectedly arrived in this dilapidated building, clapping his hands and smiling as he observed the myriad aspects of human life in this world.

"The Mefilas aliens!"

Rentaro Satomi and Enju Aihara immediately became agitated, their eyes wide with anger as they glared fiercely at the culprit who had caused all of this, wishing they could roll up their sleeves and beat him up, if only if they had the ability.

Hiruko Kagetane's reaction was completely different. The moment he sensed Mefilas's arrival, he and his partner Kohina bowed their heads respectfully and said, "My lord."

He really wants to improve.

Although there was no superior-subordinate relationship between them, and they had no connection whatsoever, he still wanted to acknowledge him as his master and climb up to this extraterrestrial visitor whose strength was unfathomable, whose vision was vast and boundless, and whose mind and intelligence far surpassed all the mediocre people on Earth.

The hundreds of old cursed children all had tears on their faces, and each of them had a miserable and dejected expression. They were so disheartened that they wanted to say something, but they didn't dare to speak for the time being, and they were all speechless.

The long, straight black hair of the Tendo Kisara turned serious as he carefully examined the Mefilas alien, who had one hand behind his back.

She had originally intended to adopt a defensive stance, but even though the visitor from outer space had no murderous intent or malice whatsoever, its natural aura was enough to intimidate Tendo Kisara so much that she didn't dare to actually do it, only daring to talk about it verbally:

"The Mefilas aliens, are these aliens...?"

Even those who originally intended to say "The people of Mefilas are not bad" found themselves too intimidated to boast about themselves, making them seem like equals.

Tendo Kisara was completely numb. He didn't think anymore, and of course, he didn't dare to think about putting it back. He could only ask unwillingly, "So, was my guess right?"

The alien from Mefilas chuckled elegantly, "Heh heh, clever human, seeing me here, shouldn't you already have the answer?"

"So that means everything is correct?"

Tendo Kisara gritted his teeth, "The old cursed children are all around ten years old. Because of discrimination, they have never received an education since childhood. The atmosphere of the whole society is that they have original sin. How dare they resist? You are dissatisfied with them because of this and make them suffer. Isn't that going too far?"

As she spoke, she carefully observed the Mefilas aliens.

Tendou Kisara thought she would hear some reasoning or that the other party would use their brain, but unexpectedly, the Mefilas alien showed no extra emotional fluctuations, and was even too lazy to reason with her. Instead, she chuckled and simply asked a question in return.

"So, what does this have to do with me, you clever man?"

With just one sentence, Tendou Kisara was instantly stunned, utterly speechless.

There are difficulties, reasons, justifications, and all sorts of causes that should be understood—yes, but what does that have to do with the Mefilas aliens?

This is something that humans and the Old Cursed Children need to consider themselves; the Mefilas aliens don't need to consider it, and they don't care.

All it cares about is that humans and the Old Cursed Children have annoyed it.

Since that's what they've said, what can you do?

At this moment, Kisara Tendo realized many things in a dejected manner, and was speechless.

She originally wanted to argue and debate, and wanted to say something like, "Those of the old cursed children who oppressed the new cursed children after becoming human are indeed morally problematic, but their past experiences make them worthy of being forgiven."

Using this reasoning, we can get the Mefilas aliens to make concessions and grant us some convenience.

Unfortunately, it seems there's no point in even thinking about it now, or rather, if I were to say it out loud, my head would probably be turned away in a heartbeat.

Tendogi experienced what many people in the main universe of the Land of Light had experienced.

Although Mefilas, the wise general of the Dark Four Heavenly Kings, is a well-known cosmic gentleman, polite and courteous, treating even the weakest ant with respect, and possessing the best temperament in the entire Emperor's Empire, and perhaps even the entire Dark Nebula.

But this strategist actually didn't like to reason with people—or rather, he didn't like to talk about very basic, low-level principles, and he hated reasoning with people of low moral character.

He will act in accordance with etiquette to a certain extent and is always polite, but if the other party does not even understand the basic principles, he is actually too lazy to explain them to the other party and prefers to use force.

For someone with an IQ ranking among the top three in the entire universe, explaining such basic principles would be more exhausting than handling the affairs of the entire empire.

As for more sophisticated principles, they depend on the audience. When faced with low-moral behavior, he simply won't bother to talk or listen.

It would take at least the level of morality of humans from the Land of Light on Earth for him to be willing to explain and narrate his reasoning in person. But that's just a threshold. His patience is limited when faced with morality of that level.

If you really want him to sit down and discuss things slowly, going on and on about morality and all that, then it has to be the kind of morality that the Land of Light has.

As for the people of this world and the cursed children?

The answer is that they are not worthy to say a word to the empire's strategists, nor are they even qualified to pay homage to their true faces. They are only fit to die fighting each other in their own madness.

The strongest alien in the entire universe, the Mefilas, becomes more gentlemanly when facing people worthy of respect, but his demonic side largely prevails when facing things that deserve only death.

In the main universe of the Kingdom of Light, the Imperial strategist was always known for his gentlemanly demeanor.

Even during the original Mebius era, the game he created on Earth was one where "Mefilas replaced Ultraman's status and identity, with Mefilas protecting the Earth and humanity, while Ultraman was the invader," rather than directly rewriting the fact that Earth had a guardian.

If he wanted to, he could certainly do that, and the casualties on Earth would inevitably become enormous, so enormous that the cost would be unbearable for humanity.

But Mefilas did not do that. Even while playing his own game, he did not cause any additional casualties on Earth that would not have happened otherwise. He was actually fighting monsters.

For a dark aggressor, this display of gentlemanly conduct is truly astonishing.

But now, the imperial strategist, whose reputation as a gentleman is recognized throughout the universe, is presenting an extremely demonic game here. So, humanity on this planet really needs to reflect on this.

Although Kisara Tendo was unaware of the matters concerning the Land of Light's main universe, she realized that her prepared rhetoric was completely untenable, and she immediately became uneasy.

She stammered, watching as the gaze of the Mefilas alien gradually weakened, and asked in a low voice, "Then... what do you want to do?"

“Hehe,” Mefilas chuckled, elegantly looking at the hundreds of silent Old Cursed Children, “Don’t make me sound like some kind of demon. What I do is up to you.”

"I want to become human again!"

One of the old cursed children immediately cried out in terror, "I don't want to be human anymore! Being human is so scary! I don't want to be bullied again! I want to turn back! Please!"

Swish!

The Mefilas alien didn't even bother to look at her. With a wave of his hand, the old cursed child who had spoken those words vanished instantly, as if he had never existed again.

As for whether he died, was sent away, was sealed away, or was turned back into the Cursed Child and thrown far away, no one knows, and the Mefilas aliens obviously have no intention of explaining.

The Mefilas alien raised his eyes and looked at the others with a deep gaze: "So, what about the rest?"

Silent as a cicada in winter.

No one spoke; they just looked at each other in bewilderment.

The scene was deathly silent until Tendo Kisara finally couldn't hold back any longer and shouted, "Say something! Didn't I just clearly explain the reasoning to you?"

"You were treated unfairly in the past. You have no original sin whatsoever. On the contrary, you are the guardians of humanity. So, stand up now and speak! Whether you are human or cursed children, you must ensure that no one in the world is discriminated against!"

Because that's actually how it is.
