“Mr. Kasuga, we have been looking forward to your visit for a long time.” Westminster, sitting in the back row, broke the silence.
Yuuto turned his head to the side. "What are you expecting?"
Westminster smiled. "I look forward to establishing a long-term, stable cooperative relationship with you."
He took a document out of his briefcase, handed it to Youren, and then said, "This is our draft cooperation framework. Please take a look."
Chapter 130
After completing the handover of various affairs with the mainstream forces in Europe, Yuuto, along with Miwa Kasumi and Sora, temporarily stayed at a local hotel.
This is one of the most luxurious hotels in all of Europe, with extremely lavish decor and located in one of the most bustling areas.
After Yuuto arrived, the entire hotel was cleared out by the European sorcery community and guarded by special personnel, for Yuuto's exclusive use.
After Yu Ren took them to the hotel, he did nothing else besides discussing cooperation.
Instead, they patiently waited for their true partner in this operation to arrive and join them.
Ninety-nine yogis.
Yu Ren's original intention for this trip to Europe has never been about power struggles or negotiations of interests.
Those superficial exchanges and collaborations are nothing more than a smokescreen.
His true goal was to completely eliminate the Pale Knight, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, who was lurking in this place.
He is intelligent and meticulous, and acts with extreme secrecy and caution. He has secretly cultivated a huge power and has always been patient and dormant, making him extremely difficult to find.
Since its birth, it has always been elusive and difficult to find.
It was precisely because the opponent was so formidable that the Spellcraft Alliance painstakingly devised this meticulous and detailed encirclement plan.
It was discovered not long ago that the Pale Knights' core stronghold was hidden in Europe.
The sorcerer community followed the clues and captured several of his subordinates. Through severe interrogation and in-depth investigation, they finally learned a great deal about his background.
The main fighting force for this operation was Yuuto and Tsukumo Yuki.
Nanami Kento and Kusakabe serve as second-line auxiliary forces, responsible for containing enemy forces and relieving battlefield pressure.
Meanwhile, Misty Clouds, Sky Dome, and a group of low-ranking sorcerers were mainly responsible for peripheral matters, continuing to maintain cooperation and negotiations among various forces, creating the illusion of an ordinary foreign visit, thereby numbing the Pale Knight's vigilance.
The entire plan is interconnected.
Yuuto, under the guise of a cross-border visit, led Nanami and Kusakabe to Europe to secretly investigate the movements of the base, gather intelligence, and prepare comprehensive disguise and cover.
Once everything was in place, Yuki quietly infiltrated Europe again, secretly reunited with Yuuto, and used her magic to completely block the internal and external passages of the Pale Knight's stronghold, cutting off all their escape routes.
With everything in place, all Yuuto needs to do is calmly wait for his partner to arrive.
The hotel rooms were small, but quiet. Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows was the gray London skyline, with the Thames River shimmering in the distance.
Qiong leaned back on the soft cushions at the head of the bed, holding an old novel she had found in the hotel library, her long, milky-white hair cascading over her shoulders.
Kasumi Miwa sat at her desk, the draft cooperation framework spread out in front of her. She wore a light blue knitted cardigan, and her long, sky-blue hair cascaded over her shoulders, the ends slightly damp, as if she had just taken a shower.
Yuuto stood by the window, gazing at the sparse pedestrians below. The London rain came suddenly, the fine raindrops whipped by the wind against the glass, blurring the city's outline.
Qiong put the novel aside, stepped barefoot onto the carpet, and walked to the window. She stopped beside Youren and put her hands into his coat pockets.
"What are you thinking about?" Qiong leaned on his shoulder.
"I'm wondering when ninety-nine will arrive," Yuuto said.
"Didn't they say there were still a few days left?"
"Ah."
Qiong didn't ask any more questions. She pulled her hand out of Yuuto's pocket, turned around, and glanced at Miwa Kasumi. Miwa Kasumi was looking down, her fingertips unconsciously drawing circles on the table.
"Go take a shower," Qiong said.
Miwa Kasumi looked up, startled. "I've already washed."
"Wash it again."
Miwa Kasumi opened her mouth, looked at Sora, then at Yuuto. Yuuto didn't look at her. The tips of her ears slowly turned red. She stood up, went into the bathroom, and the door closed gently behind her.
The sound of running water came from the bathroom, faint and intermittent.
Qiong walked to the bedside, lifted a corner of the blanket, and sat down. She looked up at Youren, her reddish-brown eyes reflecting the warm yellow light of the bedside lamp.
“You should go too,” she said.
Yuuto glanced at her. Sora didn't look away, just staring at him.
Yuuto raised his hand, unbuttoned the top two buttons of his shirt, and turned to walk towards the restroom. Kyō lowered his head and tucked his stray hair behind his ear.
After a long while, the bathroom door opened.
Yuuto walked out wearing the hotel's white bathrobe, his hair still wet and clinging to his forehead.
Qiong was still sitting on the edge of the bed, having put down the novel she was reading at some point.
She got up, walked over, and her bare feet made no sound on the carpet.
“I’ll do it,” Qiong said.
Yuuto looked down at her. Qiong tiptoed and reached out to brush away the damp white hair on his forehead; her fingertips were cool as they touched his skin.
She didn't pull back; instead, she took the towel off his shoulder and draped it over her own arm.
"You'll get a headache if you don't dry your hair." Qiong's voice was very soft. She turned and walked to the bathroom, took the hair dryer off the shelf, plugged it into the wall socket, and the hair dryer started humming.
Hot air rushed out of the vents, and Qiong ran her fingers through Yu Ren's hair, gently brushing away the damp strands. Her movements were very light, her fingertips occasionally touching his warm scalp.
The hairdryer is off.
The bathroom door opened, and Miwa Kasumi stepped out. She was wearing a white hotel bathrobe, her hair was wrapped in a towel, and her face was flushed from the steam.
Standing at the bathroom door, I saw Sora standing behind Yuuto with her fingers still tucked into his hair.
"Come here," Qiong said.
Miwa Kasumi walked over and sat down on the edge of the bed, her fingers gripping the collar of her bathrobe until her knuckles turned white. Sora put the hairdryer back in the bathroom, came out, and stood opposite Yuuto.
"Turn off the lights," she said.
Yuuto reached for the bedside lamp switch. With a "click," the room plunged into darkness.
Only the light from a single streetlamp seeped through the gap in the curtains, drawing a thin silver line on the wall.
Yuuto reached out and touched Sora's shoulder first.
Even through the thin fabric of her bathrobe, I could feel her slightly cool temperature.
Yuuto's hand continued downwards, his fingertips touching the sash of the bathrobe. With a gentle pull, the sash loosened, and the fabric slipped off Sora's shoulder.
Miwa Kasumi sat on the edge of the bed, hearing the faint sound of fabric falling to the ground, and tightened her grip on her collar.
A hand reached out from the darkness and grasped her wrist.
"let go."
Miwa Kasumi's fingers slowly loosened.
Her bathrobe slipped off her shoulders and bunched up at her waist.
The room was quiet, with only the sound of three people breathing, overlapping and indistinguishable from one another.
Qiong's back pressed against Yu Ren's chest, the back of her head resting on his shoulder, her milky white hair brushing against his chin, tickling him.
Sora turned her head slightly, her fingers finding Miwa Kasumi's hand and grasping it. Miwa Kasumi's fingers were cool, while Sora's palm was warm.
Kyō pulled Miwa Kasumi's hand over and placed it on Yūto's arm, her fingertips slightly twitching when they touched his skin.
Qiong pressed her hand down, preventing her from pulling it back.
Yuuto's other hand encircled Miwa Kasumi's waist. Her waist was very slender, and he could feel it trembling slightly through the thin fabric of her bathrobe.
Her fingers finally stopped retracting and slowly touched Yuu's forearm.
No one spoke in the darkness.
Qiong was the first to tire. She rolled over, slid out of Yuuto's arms, and curled up on the other side of the bed, her long, milky-white hair spread out on the pillow, her breathing gradually becoming even.
Yuuto turned to the side and pulled Miwa Kasumi into his arms. She didn't pull away, burying her face in his chest, her fingers clutching the collar of his bathrobe. Yuuto lowered his head and kissed the top of her head; the scent of shampoo was fresh and faint.
“Mr. Chun…” Miwa Kasumi’s voice was muffled.
“Call me by my name,” Yuuto said.
Miwa Kasumi was silent for a few seconds. "Yuto."
Yuuto tightened his grip on her arm.
The rain was still falling outside the window, and the light from the streetlights shone through the gaps in the curtains onto the carpet, like a thin silver thread lying there quietly.
Sora rolled over, draped her arm over Yuuto's waist, and touched the back of Miwa Kasumi's hand with her fingers.
She didn't pull away, she just stayed there. Miwa didn't dodge either, her fingers slightly parted, touching Sora's fingertips.
The three people lay quietly in the darkness, and none of them spoke.
After an unknown amount of time, Qiong stirred and buried her face in Youren's shoulder.
"Yuuto."
"Ah."
When are you leaving tomorrow?
"It's three in the morning. You all stay at the hotel and wait for me to come back."
Qiong didn't ask any more questions.
Miwa Kasumi turned to the side, pressing her face against Yuuto's chest, listening to his heartbeat, one beat at a time.
"Will we win?" Miwa Kasumi's voice was soft.
"Yes." Yuuto said.
Miwa didn't ask any more questions and closed her eyes.
The next morning, when Yu-ren woke up, it was just getting light.
