ten meters.

eight meters.

five meters.

three meters.

Yuu's finger twitched slightly.

Maki didn't dodge. Her sword was already raised above her head, the crimson light on the blade dazzling.

Yuuto stopped.

The red light from both hands dissipated.

“That’s fine,” he said.

Maki's knife stopped above his head.

The blade of the sword was only an inch away from his brow.

There was no wind pressure or magical force on the blade, only the strength of her grip.

Her arms were trembling, not from exhaustion, but from the sheer force that had burst forth in that instant.

Then she released the hilt of the knife, and the flaming sword fell to the ground with a dull thud.

Maki stood in front of Yuuto. She had several wounds on her body and her clothes were torn in a few places, but a smile played on her lips.

“Is that enough?” she asked.

Yuuto didn't answer, he just looked at her.

Her eyes had changed. They were no longer the repressed, stubborn look of before, but a sharper, more transparent look, no longer bound by anything.

Those are the eyes of Heaven and the tyrant, capable of seeing through the essence of curse power, predicting the actions of sorcerers, and no longer being deceived by any illusions.

“It’s almost there,” Yuuto said, “but it’s enough.”

Chapter 127 Training 1

The pebbles on the training field still gleamed coldly in the moonlight, and Maki's figure disappeared at the end of the path.

Gojo Satoru stretched and walked over from the pillar, patted Yuuto on the shoulder, and casually said "Well done" before sauntering off toward the administration building.

Fushiguro Megumi glanced at Yuuto, then at the direction Maki had disappeared in, before turning her gaze away and silently following Gojo Satoru away.

The panda rolled its round body off the wooden stake, shook its head, waved its paw at Yuuto, and then slowly walked away.

The night breeze blew in from the bamboo forest, carrying the dampness of earth and moss.

The training ground fell silent, with only the grooves on the gravel surface serving as proof that a fierce battle had just taken place.

Yuuto did not leave immediately.

He stood there, looking down at the palm of his right hand.

The red light of the Double-Handed Technique faded between the fingers, and the lingering effects of the Golden Light Mantra and Thunder Magic had long since dissipated.

Maki's final strike almost hit him.

It wasn't because his speed had slowed down, but because her perception had become faster.

After its second awakening, the Heavenly Tyrant no longer relies on vision, but instead uses something more fundamental to predict its opponent's intentions.

This is the essence of the sorcerer killer: not by brute force, but by "seeing through" to win.

He put his hands in his pockets and turned to walk towards the dormitory area.

When I passed the administration building, the lights on the second floor were still on. Gojo Satoru probably hadn't left yet, and Fushiguro Megumi was probably there too.

He didn't go up; he walked directly across the lit road and returned to his residence.

.......................

The next morning, just as dawn was breaking.

Yu Ren pushed open the window. The mountain mist had not yet dissipated, and dewdrops hung on the bamboo leaves, crystal clear, falling down with a rustling sound when the wind blew.

The training ground in the distance was deserted, with only the night wind scattering the pebbles from last night.

After washing up and changing his clothes, he walked along the stone path towards the canteen. The canteen was already occupied.

Huzhang sat by the window, with several empty bowls piled in front of him, and was stuffing rice balls into his mouth.

Shunping sat opposite him, with a bowl of miso soup and a small dish of side dishes in front of him. He ate very slowly, picking up a piece of tofu with his chopsticks and chewing it for a long time before swallowing it.

Wild Rose walked over from the food serving window carrying a tray; her short orange hair shone brightly in the morning light.

She glanced at the empty bowls in front of Itsuji and raised an eyebrow.

"Kudzu, are you a pig?" Wild Rose put her plate on the table, her tone unfriendly.

With a rice ball stuffed in his mouth, Huzhang mumbled a reply, "You're the pig! I'm still growing."

After saying that, he picked up another piece of fried pork chop and chewed it with a crunching sound.

Upon witnessing this scene, Youren couldn't help but sigh, "The saying 'a half-grown boy can eat his father out of house and home' is truly accurate."

Boys who are still growing can really eat a lot.

Wild Rose ignored him, sat down next to Shunping, and set her plate down.

Shunping kept his head down, not looking at them, but the corner of his mouth twitched slightly.

He picked up the miso soup, took a sip, put it down, and continued eating slowly.

Yuuto carried his tray and sat down at an empty table.

Not long after, footsteps came from the doorway.

Wearing a black high school uniform and holding a rice ball, Fushiguro Megumi walked over and sat down opposite Yuuto with a blank expression.

"Good morning," Yuuto said.

"Good morning." Fushiguro Megumi took a bite of her rice ball, her expression unchanged.

Gojo Satoru was the last one to enter the cafeteria.

He wasn't wearing an eye patch today; his pale blue eyes looked exceptionally clear in the morning light. He wore his college uniform casually, with the collar open, and held a cup of black coffee in his hand.

He glanced at the seating arrangement of the young people in the cafeteria, and instead of sitting at the teachers' table, he casually sat down next to Huzhang, crossed his legs, and took a sip of coffee.

"Everyone's here." Gojo Satoru's voice wasn't loud, but the entire cafeteria fell silent.

Urajima put down the rice ball and swallowed what was in her mouth. Junpei placed her chopsticks on the rim of her bowl. Noboru looked up. Fushiguro Megumi slowed her chewing of the rice ball.

Gojo Satoru's azure eyes swept over Itajō, Nobunaga, and Junpei, finally landing on Fushiguro Megumi, a slight smile playing on his lips. "There's something I need to tell you. The Alliance has arranged several instructors for you these past few days."

"Instructor? Who is that?" Haddō asked.

Gojo Satoru pulled a crumpled piece of paper from his pocket and glanced at it. "Kusakabe Atsuya." Junpei's chopsticks paused slightly. Gojo Satoru continued reading. "Todo Aoi."

Fushiguro Megumi's brow twitched slightly. He knew the name. A third-year student at Kyoto School, a first-level sorcerer, and extremely skilled in physical combat.

Hadji had never heard of it before and just scratched his head.

In response, Yu Ren explained, "This is for the sake of friendship between the two schools. Some of our senior students will also go to teach at their school."

A moment of silence fell over the cafeteria. Itadori glanced at Gojo Satoru, then at Yuuto. He wanted to ask something, but Yuuto remained expressionless, so he didn't.

Gojo Satoru stuffed the crumpled paper back into his pocket. "After breakfast, head to the training grounds to assemble." He stood up, picked up his coffee cup, walked to the cafeteria entrance, then stopped and said without turning his head, "Fushiguro, come with me."

Fushiguro Megumi put down the rice ball and followed him out.

Only Polygonum cuspidatum, Shunpei, Wild Rose, and Yuuto remained in the cafeteria.

No one spoke.

Itsuji lowered his head and continued eating, while Junpei stirred the miso soup in his bowl, drawing circles in the soup with his chopsticks.

Wild Rose glanced at Yuuto, as if to ask something, but in the end she didn't ask anything and just lowered her head to continue eating.

The morning light streamed in through the window, drawing a bright line between the four people, and no one crossed that line.

The people in the cafeteria gradually left.

Yu Ren sat in the same spot, slowly sipping the tea in his cup.

Tiger and the others left early, and the dishes and chopsticks had already been cleaned up, leaving only a few shallow water stains on the plates.

Sunlight streamed in through the window, falling on the table and pushing the line between light and shadow forward a few inches.

Gojo Satoru pushed open the door and sat down opposite Yuuto, propping his legs up on the chair next to him. He took a lollipop out of his pocket, unwrapped it, and popped it into his mouth. "I've delivered the person to you."

Yuuto didn't reply, picked up the teacup and put it down again.

“According to what you said,” Gojo Satoru said vaguely, “the combination of that old fox from Kusakabe and that battle maniac from Todo is more than enough to teach a few freshmen.”

Yuuto glanced at him but didn't reply.

Gojo Satoru took the lollipop out of his mouth and twirled it in his hand. "Toudou has enough physical skills and experience. Let him train Itadori in physical skills, and Fushiguro in teamwork."

"You've already arranged for Fukuro to enroll before he even started school?" Yuuto finally spoke up.

"It's only a matter of time." Gojo Satoru stuffed the lollipop back into his mouth, leaned back in his chair, and mumbled, "The successor of the ten shadow spells has to be taught how to use them."

Yuuto put down his teacup. "Not enough."

Gojo Satoru raised an eyebrow.

Yuuto pushed back his chair, stood up, took a folded piece of paper from his pocket, and placed it on the table.

Gojo Satoru picked up the paper, unfolded it, glanced at it, frowned slightly, and then looked up at him.

"Are you serious?"

Yuuto nodded.

Gojo Satoru looked at the paper again, folded it, and stuffed it into his pocket. He straightened up, his voice becoming more serious. "Alright, I'll go arrange it."

He stopped at the door and, without turning his head, added, "You're going to take care of those first-graders yourself?"

“No,” Yuuto said, “I have other things to do.”

Gojo Satoru didn't ask any further questions, pushed open the door, and stepped into the morning light.
