Chapter 10 Richard the Rabbit

The doorknob of the storage room was turned gently twice, and Lady Antelope's voice came from outside the door.

"Why was the storage room locked from the inside?"

Immediately following was the sound of a bunch of keys clinking together.

"Which naughty child is playing in there...?"

Her voice trailed off, as if she were looking forward to the game of hide-and-seek.

The sound of the key being inserted into the lock seemed to be a countdown to the two people's lives.

With a click, the door opened.

Lady Antelope stood at the door and sniffed lightly, but all she could smell was the pungent odor of spoiled meat.
