Chapter 47 Killing Two Advisors

A few days later, at Hiruzen Sarutobi's funeral.

The atmosphere was oppressive and heavy, and everyone was silent.

Sarutobi Asuma kept smoking, as if trying to expel all the frustration in his heart.

Konohamaru leaned against Iruka's chest, sobbing softly.

Everyone looked sad and stepped forward to offer bouquets.

"Naruto, it's the Hokage's turn to give his speech," Jiraiya whispered a reminder.

Naruto nodded slightly, stood on the platform, and looked around at the people attending the funeral.

As Naruto stared at them, they were also sizing him up, scrutinizing the soon-to-be-appointed, youngest Hokage in history.

Since Naruto's true identity was revealed, coupled with the reputation he had built up among ordinary villagers, and finally saving Konoha from Orochimaru, the idea that "Naruto will become Hokage" has long been ingrained in everyone's minds.

They just didn't expect it to happen so quickly.

Won't there be dissenting voices?

That's what everyone thought.

Sure enough, just as Naruto was about to speak, three elderly figures walked in.

"Naruto Uzumaki, who gave you, a genin, permission to speak on behalf of the Hokage!" Homura Mitokado was the first to challenge him.

“Even if it was Hiruzen’s arrangement on his deathbed, it should have been discussed by the higher-ups and a succession ceremony should have been held before it would be considered valid,” Koharu Utatane chimed in.

Naruto didn't even reply, because he knew that the man in the middle with half his face covered by bandages was the mastermind behind it all.

“I’ve been Hiruzen’s classmate for decades. I know him. He would never entrust such an important matter to a child as a joke. So I suspect that Hiruzen’s last words were fabricated by Naruto Uzumaki. There was no such thing at all!” Danzo Shimura said in a sinister tone.

The guests watching were not surprised by the arrival of these three. If Naruto had waited a few years and accumulated some significant achievements before becoming Hokage, perhaps there wouldn't have been so much trouble.

However, Naruto had already said that on the day of the Chunin Exams—

He would not allow justice to be delayed in his hands.

The three high-ranking officials all looked at Naruto with cold smiles.

They had already prepared dozens of contingency plans, so they could respond to whatever Naruto said next.

"Let's talk outside," Naruto said calmly, then walked straight out.

The smiles on the faces of the three top executives grew even wider.

They had considered this possibility; Naruto would most likely want to make some kind of exchange with them, and it was certainly inconvenient to discuss such a matter in front of so many people.

They'll make empty promises to Naruto Uzumaki later, saying that Danzo Shimura will serve as acting Hokage, and then the position will be passed on to him.

So when they got to a secluded spot, Mitokado Homura put on a bad cop act: "Naruto Uzumaki, you should know that since the founding of Konoha, there has never been a precedent of letting a child become Hokage. Koharu Utatane, feigning leniency, said, "Of course, we've had a decades-long friendship with Hiruzen. Since he appointed you as Hokage, he must have his reasons. Just as Mitokado was about to speak, his body suddenly froze, and he looked down as a golden tail pierced through his chest.

"You... poof!"

Mitokaku inflammation, died.

This sudden change stunned Koharu Utatane and Danzo Shimura, who then frantically retreated!

"Naruto Uzumaki, what have you done! How could you become Hokage without the approval of the higher-ups!" Koharu Utatane was furious.

Naruto simply said, "It's simple. I'll just kill these three so-called high-ranking officials."

Having said that, Naruto no longer concealed his aura and revealed it.

Fairy Fox Mode!

The soaring momentum rose from the ground, and the intense sense of oppression almost made it hard for Xiaochun to breathe.

This Naruto reminded her of Hashirama Senju!

"Koharu, buy me some time, I have a trump card!" Shimura Danzo shouted as he released the seal on his right hand.

As students of the Second Hokage, Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu may have been as strong as Hiruzen Sarutobi when they were young, but years of pampered life have left them with no strength even at the level of Jonin.

And so, in the short time it took to say just a few words, two of Konoha's advisors died!

"Naruto!" Jiraiya, who was worried about Naruto, rushed over at that moment.

He was quite surprised when he saw the bodies of the two advisors.

In their battle plan, Naruto would find a way to lure the three high-ranking officials to a deserted place, where they would then overwhelm them with sheer numbers.

But at present, Naruto alone can be described as "overwhelmingly numerous".

“I’ll take the bodies of those two old men to the mountain tribe. They must have a lot of secrets in their minds.”

Jiraiya, carrying the bodies of the two advisors, was about to leave when he glanced at Danzo and then asked hesitantly, "Can you handle him by yourself?"

Naruto nodded: "We tricked them into coming here in the first place so as not to harm innocent people. Too many people would only make things more difficult."

"Okay, I believe you."

Seeing Jiraiya leave, Danzo Shimura seemed to breathe a sigh of relief.

"You arrogant brat, you'll soon realize what a huge mistake it was to let Jiraiya leave."

Naruto, however, merely scrutinized him with curiosity: "What's with all those Sharingan eyes on your right arm? And the chakra in your chest is clearly different from the rest of your body. Is the eye you're covering also a Sharingan or Byakugan? Is there any part of your body that's truly your own?"

Shimura Danzo snorted coldly: "What's a little sacrifice for me to gain the power to protect Konoha?"

Naruto's expression immediately turned cold upon hearing this.

"The most disgusting people are like you, using the guise of selfless dedication to abuse your power for personal gain. Have you lied so much that you've even hypnotized yourself?"

"Forget it, arguing with you is a waste of breath. Anyway, you're going to die here today to appease those you've killed!"

Chapter 48 Farewell to the Gods

Just as Naruto was about to test what special abilities Shimura Danzo had, Shimura Danzo waved his hand, and several people dressed as ANBU appeared and blocked his way.

"You should deplete some of his chakra first," Danzo Shimura commanded in an unquestionable tone.

"Heh, as an Anbu member, you don't obey my orders as the Hokage, but instead listen to Shimura Danzo?" Naruto sneered.

But he soon realized that most of these ANBU members had been brainwashed by Shimura Danzo since childhood and had become mindless puppets.

“In that case, I will help you get rid of this,” Naruto said softly.

He then gathered chakra in his hand, forming a blue ball several stories high.

"Senfa o Daitama Rasengan!"

Several members of the secret service tried to stop them, but their strength was far inferior to the enemy's.

After realizing the truth, they actually stepped forward and used their bodies to block the advance of the Giant Rasengan in order to protect Shimura Danzo.

"How pathetic." Naruto sighed, and a golden hand grew from behind him, grabbing Shimura Danzo who was trying to launch a sneak attack.

"You sacrificed the lives of several of your men to create an opportunity for a sneak attack, just to stab me with a kunai?" Naruto asked, somewhat surprised.

Fearing complications, Naruto crushed Danzo Shimura before he could reply.

"Strange... Is Shimura Danzo really that easy to deal with? What is his so-called trump card?"

However, at that moment, a series of powerful air cannons suddenly attacked Naruto from behind.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Wave!"

Sensing the attack, Naruto did not move, but instead had the golden hand behind him intercept the air cannons one by one.

"I should have killed you, illusion? No, that's impossible."

"So, this is your trump card?" Naruto turned around to face Danzo Shimura directly, analyzing his abilities.

[Host, do you need my help with the analysis?]

"No, if you possess such immense power, yet can't even defeat a mere Kage-level opponent, what kind of Hokage are you?"

During the conversation, Shimura Danzo launched another attack.

"Wind Release: Shuriken!"

Two shuriken wrapped in wind blades easily shattered the rocks along their path and flew towards Naruto at the same speed.

"Sage Art: Wind Release - Rasenshuriken!"

Judging from their appearance, the attacks of both sides seem quite similar, both using wind-style techniques and shuriken.

However, the presence or absence of Sage Mode alone is enough to determine the outcome, not to mention that the Rasengan is far superior to the Shuriken.
