Hermione, mustering her courage, raised her hand: "Mr. Ollivander, what would I need to do if I wanted to have a wand custom-made?"

Chapter Sixteen: Eternal Realm Orphan's Magical Transformation into Celestial Dragon

Ollivander listened to Hermione's earnest words and showed a hint of apology: "I'm sorry, Miss, I don't offer custom services here. In addition, we have all kinds of wand combinations. If you want, you can even try them on until next year. It's no different from custom-made."

Hermione raised her hand and pointed at Kane, who was fiddling with his wand: "And what about him?"

Suddenly caught in the crossfire, Kane pointed his wand at himself: "Me?"

Ollivander was a little embarrassed, realizing he shouldn't have been so absolute. However, it was indeed his rule not to make custom orders for just anyone, so he could only awkwardly reply, "He's different."

Hermione immediately wilted. Her parents' upbringing had taught her, at a young age, the basic rules of how the world works, and that those at the top do indeed enjoy benefits that ordinary people cannot.

A life of luxury, a high-end education—I never imagined that even the first step into the magical world would be divided into different classes.

"Then help me choose a wand." Hermione didn't want to say another word to these disgusting Celestial Dragons. She just wanted to get her own wand as quickly as possible and then plunge into the ocean of knowledge, constantly absorbing its wisdom.

From this small wand shop, she could see just how severe the class stratification was in the wizarding world. All she could hold onto now was her proud learning ability. If she didn't give up even a tiny bit of time to study, perhaps she could catch a glimpse of the taillights of those so-called pure-blooded Celestial Dragons.

This is why Ron doesn't know what Hermione is thinking. As a genuine pure-blood wizard from the Union Jack, if he knew that Hermione thought so highly of them pure-bloods, he doesn't know whether he would feel happy or ashamed.

Kane noticed Hermione's obviously off expression and immediately tried to slip away from the wand shop. Hermione felt like a powder keg.

Mr. Ollivander, the one who was the catalyst, clearly did not think so. After much hesitation, he still felt that being able to see the two unheard-of alchemical materials, Living Wood and Nightmare Fuel, in his lifetime was a blessing from fate.

It would be going too far for Kane, who brought him these two gifts, to charge him money. He is a craftsman first and a merchant second.

Then, amidst Kane and Harry's bewilderment, Ron's surprise, and Hermione's gaze that of a revolutionary looking at a landlord and a poor tenant farmer, Ollivander placed a small cloth bag full of Galleons into Kane's hands.

“Being able to create such a work is my reward. Don’t think it’s too little, child.” Ollivander said, then knelt down and hugged Kane.

"I don't know what happened, but I suddenly felt a chill on my neck, like a murderous aura was sneaking up on me," Kane said quietly as he walked out of Ollivander's wand shop.

“Perhaps it’s that little witch, Hermione Granger. Hmm, if I had been treated that way when I was a child, I would have been angry too,” Hagrid said.

"Never mind him, I have to go to Gringotts. Hagrid, will you come with me?" Kane said, looking at the Galleons in his hand. He needed two gold nuggets to build a scientific machine. Now that he had money, he could probably buy some at Gringotts. With Hagrid by his side, he wouldn't be afraid of the goblins there bullying a little kid like him.

"I don't understand, but that's okay."

The four walked around Gringotts and quickly came out again. The difference was that Kane had two gold nuggets in his pocket, while the Galleons Ollivander had given him... were all gone.

"Oh, I heard someone say that Kane gave that arrogant brat from the Malfoy family a good beating, is that true?"

Kane turned to look at the source of the voice, which was composed of two voices. It was the Weasley twins, who spoke in a very distinctive way.

"I can only say that you're really missing out if you didn't see that scene. Kane's shadow lifted Malfoy up to the ceiling in an instant, and he couldn't get down. In the end, it was Malfoy's father who came to apologize to Kane to resolve the situation."

Ron immediately began to vividly recount the events at the ice cream shop, shocking the Weasleys.

"I can't believe that Lucius Malfoy actually knows how to say the word 'apology,' it's really strange," Mr. Weasley murmured in amazement.

Unlike their parents who would chat for ages if they met on the street, the Weasleys only exchanged a few words with Kane and his family before leaving without a trace, but they did take Ron with them.

In the courtyard of the Leaky Cauldron, only Kane, Harry, and Hagrid were present.

Hagrid stroked his long beard: "Professor McGonagall told me you weren't having a good time living with that Muggle family, right?"

Harry sighed, "It depends on how you define it. I didn't receive any respect anywhere, but I didn't suffer any real harm either, if it weren't for Dudley."

“In that case, I think you don’t want to go back to their house, so you can choose to stay here at the Leaky Cauldron. They provide accommodation and meals.” Hagrid said, heading towards the back door of the bar.

Harry was overjoyed at first, but then he suddenly remembered that he had a brother who was probably sleeping under a bridge and eating garbage somewhere, so he naturally had to help him out.

“A double room, Kane will stay there too,” Harry added.

“But Kane has a place to stay,” Hagrid replied.

"Maybe it's under a bridge, but it's definitely not as comfortable as sleeping here. Now that I have money, I can't just stand by and watch him suffer." Harry patted his chest, taking on all the responsibilities for Kane like an older brother.

"Um, Kane, what do you think?" Hagrid looked at Kane somewhat awkwardly. What could he say? Sleeping in a bunk bed always made him feel like a product on a supermarket shelf. Now that he had a new place to live, of course he decided to move.

“I need to bring some of my things back before I move,” Kane said.

Harry wanted to say that he was taking care of everything himself and buying all new things, like the domineering CEO in the melodramatic soap operas Aunt Petunia watched, but when he thought about how not everything can be measured by money, and the emotions they had poured into each other, he didn't say anything.

He had simply booked a room on the second floor of the Leaky Cauldron in advance, waiting for Kane to bring his things back.

Soon, at Hogwarts, in Dumbledore's bedroom, Kane was quickly tidying up his campfire, stuffing stones and firewood directly into his pockets. If possible, he even considered knocking down the floorboards to take with him.

As for whether suddenly setting off the bonfire at the Leaky Cauldron would reinforce Harry's impression of him as a homeless person...

Between face and life, life is naturally more important.

Unlike Kane, who was bustling about in the bedroom, Dumbledore was pinching the bridge of his nose with a hint of helplessness in the office, perhaps hoping that this would temporarily straighten his crooked nose.

I originally wanted to observe Kane's bizarre magical form up close, but as soon as I went out today, I had to move house when I came back. What a mess!

He naturally couldn't criticize Hagrid, and he hadn't said those things before.

Kane soon came out of the bedroom, and Dumbledore smiled and asked, "Is everything ready?"

“We also need to go to the Forbidden Forest to cut some wood,” Kane replied.

Dumbledore's expression changed. At Hogwarts, the professors could easily deal with tree-people, but the common wizards in Diagon Alley were struggling to handle them.

We have to stop him!

Chapter Seventeen: Let Me Explain

"Why... are you chopping wood?"

Kane scratched his head: "Didn't I say I'm afraid of the dark? Of course, I'll use it for starting a fire."

"........."

After thinking about it all day, Dumbledore guessed why Kane was burning a campfire instead of a lamp at night.

It's highly likely that, like the shadow that attacked him by the Black Lake that evening, it's as if only magic can defeat magic, and only light tainted by shadow can dispel shadow.

"Kingsley told me that the day you stayed at the motel, there was a dark magical fluctuation that lasted all night, right? It was this campfire." Dumbledore didn't foolishly speculate like most people would; instead, he asked directly.

"You're mistaken, that's something else." Kane was referring to Charlie, who had been chasing him from the Eternal Realm. Burning his own shadow only prevented Charlie from attacking him, but if she wanted to, she could still hide in the darkness and keep spying on him.

In comparison, a campfire is more useful.

“I look forward to the day you return to Hogwarts.” Dumbledore watched Kane leave the office.

After leaving Hogwarts, Kane first went to the Forbidden Forest to chop down some wood, then went to the Black Lake to dig up some stones, and finally arrived at Hagrid's Hut, where he went to the Leaky Cauldron with Hagrid.

"The bar owner, Tom, is a very good man. You can ask him for help with anything. If he can't solve it, just write to Dumbledore, and he'll take care of these problems," Hagrid instructed Kane, then magically produced a cake from behind his back.

"Today is Harry's birthday. I was thinking that with his family background, maybe no one has ever celebrated his birthday before, so I took the liberty of doing this for him. Could you please deliver it to him for me?" Hagrid said, his face flushed.

“I will.” Kane raised an eyebrow; dinner would be ready then.

Kane carried the cake to Harry's room, knocked on the door with the tip of his shoe, and Harry quickly opened the door. The first thing he saw was the cake.

"Wow, this is for me? Why is my name still wrong?" Harry said with some surprise.

"Ask Hagrid later. Maybe it's because Hogwarts doesn't teach academic subjects." Kane placed the cake on the table in the room, found his bed, and began to take out a few stones and firewood from his pocket. He waved his wand, and shadows enveloped the materials, which fell to the ground and burst into flames.

"This...this is what you're talking about? A campfire?" Harry looked at the scene in shock, even the cake couldn't make him show this expression now.

"Otherwise, what do you think it is?" Kane looked at Harry with suspicion. What strange thing was this kid thinking of now?

"I thought your lighting over there would be something like a big oil drum with firewood burning, and you'd live and keep warm by a campfire. You've had it too hard since you left the Dursleys, haven't you?" Harry hesitated for a long time before deciding to be a little harsher.

He knew he couldn't stay at the Leaky Cauldron every time he had a holiday or left Hogwarts; sooner or later he would have to return to the Dursleys' house.

Kane was the same; he couldn't just keep sleeping under bridges after the holidays, could he? It was better to say something hurtful to him and bring him to his senses so that he would come back to the Dursleys' house with him during the holidays.

Although there is still psychological violence, at least there is a place to live, and there is no need to use this kind of campfire for warmth and light.

Look at poor Kane. He must have developed PTSD from sleeping outdoors for days. Now he can't sleep peacefully without looking at this campfire.

Kane, completely unaware of Harry's ulterior motives, sat on the bed and pulled one item after another from his pocket, throwing them onto the floor.

wood.

"Please stay away from the campfire. If you burn the wood, we'll have to pay for the room."

Stone.

"You have to pay for the damage to the floor."

Two pieces of gold.

"That's enough to lose money, but to be honest, it's not worth it."

Kane looked at Harry with a hint of helplessness: "You should just eat your cake."

After saying that, he took out his wand and slid it lightly. Shadows gushed out from the tip of the wand, swirling up the materials on the ground and instantly transforming them into an incredibly crude scientific machine with belts and levers.

"Huh?" Harry stared wide-eyed at the scene. "Dude? When did you learn Transfiguration?"

Kane raised an eyebrow: "This isn't a transformation spell; I made it myself by hand using materials."

Harry's mouth dropped open, unsure what to say. Should he say "Awesome!" or "Are you kidding me?"

In the end, he said nothing. A mature person should be able to tolerate a friend's strange little quirks.

After dealing with Harry, another person came online. Maxwell looked at the scientific machine Kane had created and stroked his chin: "What's the use of this thing?"

“Hmm... Create an alchemical engine?” Kane gave his answer.

“I understand. You created the alchemy engine to make the spirit particle decomposer, right?” Maxwell said with a hint of helplessness.

"Old Maxwell is really smart. No wonder he's the man who can become the Eternal Lord." Kane said, then sent Maxwell away, casually ate two small cakes, brushed his teeth, lit a fire, and went to bed in one go.

"and many more."

Kane sat up in bed: "What's wrong?"

"Won't this fire cause us to get carbon monoxide poisoning the next day?" Harry asked hesitantly.

“Poisoning is a low-probability event, but if I didn’t have this fire, you would most likely see a skeleton when you wake up the next day,” Kane said, covering himself up again.

The next day arrived in the blink of an eye.

"Ugh, I feel like my sanity has dropped again, probably because of this wand." Kane looked at the wand in his hand, somewhat helplessly, and knew he had to find a way to restore his sanity.

Restoring sanity is simple: first, transform into a gluttonous Ryoko and shower her with delicious food; second...

"I wonder if they sell flower wreaths in Diagon Alley." Kane nudged the sleeping Harry with a sigh and asked quietly, "Where's your money?"
