So, to avoid an avoidable accident, he should first go to the greenhouse and get some roasted cactus and green mushrooms to restore his sanity.

"Then you'd better go now, we'll go back and get the equipment we need."

"Okay, let's split up." Kane picked up a paper bag, packed a few pies on the long table, stuffed them into his pocket, and left the Great Hall, making his way through the winding corridors to the greenhouse.

I didn't see Professor Sprout in the auditorium just now; he's probably here tending to the plants now.

dong dong dong.

"Please come in."

Kane walked in and greeted Professor Sprout: "Hello, Professor, I have a favor to ask."

“As long as you’re not here to steal mandrakes, darling, anything else is fine,” Professor Sprout said with a smile.

"Don't worry, Professor, I definitely won't do it this time."

Professor Sprout listened to Kane's assurances and generally trusted him. Although the young wizard was a bit crazy and might not be mentally sound, he was good in every other aspect, whether it was his academic performance or his relationship with his classmates.

Otherwise, Neville wouldn't have helped him cover for stealing mandrakes.

Just as Professor Sprout was thinking this with such a kind expression, his expression suddenly froze.

"Kane, green mushrooms are poisonous," Professor Sprout warned.

"Thank you, Professor. I will cook it thoroughly before eating."

Sprout: "........."

Kane felt a pang of guilt at the thought that the poor green mushroom had ultimately failed to be rescued from the greenhouse.

Next time we come to the greenhouse, we must go at night so that Professor Sprout can't see us.

At least that's what Harry, Harry, and their friends saw when they found Kane with the Invisibility Cloak: Kane was sitting on the ground roasting a cactus, eating it as he roasted it, and muttering to himself, looking utterly absurd.

“Kane? Let’s go.” Harry walked over and patted Kane on the shoulder. Kane nodded, ate the last of the roasted cactus, extinguished the campfire, and then slipped into Harry’s invisibility cloak.

Kane was stunned for a moment. Why didn't his head hurt anymore? Why wasn't his sanity dropping?

"Wait, Harry, let me do an experiment."

Kane said as he emerged from the invisibility cloak again. Ugh, headache, sanity plummeting. He went back into the invisibility cloak, and all those sensations from before vanished as if they were hallucinations.

"Harry, who gave you that invisibility cloak? Where did you buy it? I want to buy one too."

"I'm inside the invisibility cloak," Kane whispered.

"I don't know. That person said that the invisibility cloak originally belonged to my father and wasn't signed."

“Why don’t you ask Dumbledore? You can ask him when you tell him about the Chamber of Secrets after you’ve seen it,” Hermione, who was walking in front, suggested.

"Don't worry, I will."

Soon, the four arrived at the secret room in the fourth-floor corridor and took off their invisibility cloaks.

"This is the door. There's a three-headed dog inside that almost chewed up Felch. The Philosopher's Stone should be in the trapdoor under that three-headed dog," Harry said, pointing to the dilapidated door in front of him.

"Ah, I need to check what's under that trapdoor again." Kane said, pushing open the door. To the horror of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, he pulled out his wand. The moment the light enveloped the three-headed dog, it instantly collapsed and fell into a deep sleep.

"Oh... even Snape got bitten on the leg by this dog, Kane, you're even better than Snape!" Ron said excitedly, trembling.

"Thank you for the compliment." Kane said, using a levitation spell to move the huge three-headed dog aside, revealing the trapdoor. After pulling the trapdoor open, it was dark below, and there was probably no ladder.

"Wait a moment." Kane quickly made a torch with his hands and threw it down, illuminating a not-too-high secret chamber. The chamber was covered with dense vines, which, as the torch burned, resembled twisting snakes spreading outwards.

“That’s not difficult at all. Why would anyone boast about being able to throw torches?” Kane exclaimed, raising his eyebrows. He then jumped down, and Harry and Ron followed suit without hesitation.

Hermione sighed last: "If Professor McGonagall hadn't refused to believe us, oh my god."

Hermione steeled herself and jumped down too.

Beneath the trapdoor, after Harry, Harry, and the others had all climbed onto the stone platform and kept their distance from the plant tentacles, Kane squatted down beside the platform and gently touched the vines in front of him.

Is it necessary to prepare for your own safety by starting with the plant vines in this second stage?

"Kane? Why aren't you leaving?" Harry asked.

"What do you think would happen if this second challenge wasn't vines, but tentacles? Consider it a way to increase the difficulty for that person you're talking about who's after the Philosopher's Stone." Kane stood up and turned around to speak. Just as he finished speaking, the shadow beneath his feet suddenly poured out like a puddle of water towards the tentacles behind him, which was the Devil's Web.

In an instant, the previously only slightly dangerous demonic net went completely mad. The vines of varying thickness instantly transformed into a disgusting mass of fleshy tentacles covered in slime and barbs. The small, enclosed chamber had become an abstract stomach capable of digesting all life.

Chapter Seventy: Death is lurking in the shadows, watching you.

"Ugh... Kane, what was your mental state when you did these things?" Harry asked, feeling nauseous as he looked at the disgusting tentacles.

These tentacles are completely different from the tentacles that killed the troll in the abandoned toilet last time. It's like Voldemort is standing in front of you, and you know that the Voldemort in front of you is very dangerous.

But if you turn this Voldemort inside out, you'll find that this thing isn't human at all.

And the person who created this thing...

"Kane, are you really human now?" Hermione asked, taking a few steps back with a look of disgust.

"Otherwise what? Would you believe me if I told you I escaped from Area 51?"

"Honestly, I'm starting to believe it." Harry and Hermione nodded bitterly, while Ron shook his head, looking completely bewildered.

I can't understand anything.

Just as Kane and his two companions were about to continue walking inside, Hermione coughed.

"Wait, are we really going to keep going? Our initial goal was just to have Kane tell Professor Dumbledore that someone might be after the Philosopher's Stone."

"Since we're already here," Kane shrugged. That made sense. They'd finally managed to come down here, so they might as well adjust all the levels to be like the Eternal Continent. That way, when they were facing Voldemort, they'd have home-field advantage and might even get a dimensional bonus.

“But…” Hermione was about to say something more when a vicious snoring sound came from the direction of the trapdoor in the ceiling.

"That dog is awake?" Ron suddenly realized and said excitedly, "Then we're really stuck now. Let's keep exploring."

Just as Hermione was about to agree, Kane suddenly frowned. He had a bad feeling, and sure enough, as a familiar panpipe sound rang out, he quickly told Harry to take out the Invisibility Cloak.

Unfortunately, Harry had just pulled out a corner of the Invisibility Cloak when Pan Flute forcibly shut it down, along with everyone else.

"This is outrageous. Did Quirrell really have to come today?" Kane resignedly used a levitation spell to pile the three of them together, and finally put on an invisibility cloak and lay directly on top of them.

Fortunately, the invisibility cloak seemed to be able to be stretched very wide, perfectly covering all four of them.

"Master, it's a success! This time, Snape didn't suddenly interfere." Quirrell's voice came softly from above the trapdoor.

Soon, Quirrell muttered a few more words of agreement to himself, and Kane knew he was echoing Voldemort.

Suddenly, as the trapdoor opened, Quirrell poked half his body in, holding up his wand that glowed, illuminating the menacing tentacles below the room.

For a moment, the air seemed to freeze. Quirrell remained motionless, and the only sound in the room was the sticky, disgusting gurgling sound of the tentacles intertwining.

About two seconds later, Quirrell crawled back out of the trapdoor, closed it again, and then, as if he couldn't believe what he had just seen, opened the trapdoor again and looked down.

It was still that same expression of disbelief at what he was seeing, and that same disgusting snoring.

With a click, Quirrell resignedly closed the trapdoor, and Kane also lifted his invisibility cloak to let himself and the people beneath him get some fresh air.

"Luckily Quirrell wasn't there when we were in the abandoned toilet last time, otherwise it would have been another problem." Kane sighed, then sat on Harry's bottom and waited for about ten minutes, estimating that Quirrell had completely gone far away before using the Levitation Charm to bring Harry, Ron, and Hermione all up with him.

The tentacles, which had been baring their fangs and claws, were now incredibly obedient. With a gurgling sound, a soft staircase led directly to the platform below and the trapdoor above.

The plan to speedrun Dumbledore's level in one night and incidentally transform it into the Everlasting Realm has also basically failed.

The most important task now is to get these three back to their dorm rooms, because if they stay where they are...

What if the tentacles get hungry?

the next day.

"I've never slept so well." Harry and Ron sat up shakily in bed, then realized they shouldn't be under the trapdoor of the secret chamber on the fourth floor.

Why are you here?

The culprit was now standing in Professor McGonagall's office, admitting that after failing to break into the girls' dormitory the previous day, he used his tentacles to send Hermione into the girls' dormitory, and then casually frightened three little witches who were planning to go out at night.

"So, is there anything else you want to say?" Professor McGonagall asked quietly.

"To be honest, Professor, I still don't think I did anything wrong. Hermione was sleeping like a corpse. I couldn't just take her to the boys' dormitory or leave her in the common room for the night, could I?"

Professor McGonagall pushed up her glasses: "You did nothing wrong in this matter. I'm just confirming that you're not hiding anything else. However, if something similar happens again, I suggest you take the person who fainted to the infirmary."

Kane nodded in agreement, like a chick pecking at rice.

"I will, Professor."

"I'm just telling you the correct way to handle this kind of situation... I hope it won't happen again."

After Professor McGonagall finished speaking, she told Kane to leave, while she went to the infirmary to visit the three frightened young wizards.

"What a sin," Kane sighed and walked toward the principal's office.

He needs to ask Harry about the origins and brand of the invisibility cloak, especially if it's too expensive...

There should be a Gringotts Bank job in the wizarding world... right?

dong dong dong...

Dumbledore rubbed his eyes, opened the door, and yawned again: "Seriously Kane, you come to my office more often than you go to the Great Hall for dinner."

"Hmm, shouldn't you be happy?"

Dumbledore: "...If you were to come at a different time, would there be anything I could do for you?"

"Do you know which brand of invisibility cloak is the best?" Dumbledore knew what Kane was up to as soon as he finished speaking.

"You're after Harry's Invisibility Cloak, aren't you? Unfortunately, that's a family heirloom of the Potters, and it's likely to be discontinued. There won't be another one like it. If you want to become invisible, I can teach you the Illusion Charm," Dumbledore said.

"Disillusionment Charm, invisibility... no, that shouldn't be the reason. I can sense that Harry's invisibility cloak is amazing." After Kane finished speaking, Dumbledore only pondered for a moment.

"Harry's Invisibility Cloak comes from one of the legendary Deathly Hallows belonging to the three brothers. If it has any magical properties, it can only be to evade the gaze of Death. Kane, what exactly did you do with that Philosopher's Stone? That it allows Death to lurk in the shadows and watch over you?" Dumbledore looked at Kane with a deep gaze and said slowly.

Chapter 71 Maxwell's Gate

"You want to know?" Kane said, taking the Rebirth Amulet off his collar and handing it to Dumbledore. "I don't know if you can use it, but if you can, you'll know once you put it on."

Dumbledore didn't even touch it; he simply waved his wand and the Rebirth Amulet flew back to Kane's neck.

"Don't do that, Kane. You're scaring me."

"You? Afraid?" Kane frowned, somewhat confused by Dumbledore's words.
