Looking at it now, it's not that their magical abilities aren't outstanding; they're outstanding! If these lousy bastards were left to be dealt with by some incompetent fool, they'd probably die within days, not just from nervous breakdowns and zero sanity.

If a disobedient wizard tries something funny during class, and the professor can't quickly suppress him, the wizard will most likely be killed by the mandrake and expelled from Hogwarts.

In short, Kane acknowledges Professor Sprout's abilities—absolutely acknowledges them; he is definitely a hidden master.

Despite his sighs, he didn't stop working for a second. Shadows slowly grew in his hands, and the originally ugly mandrake that emitted a piercing scream calmed down and became the cute ugly radish he knew.

Following Professor Sprout's command, he unhesitatingly stuffed the mandrake from the Eternal Realm into another flowerpot.

Soon, the entire greenhouse finally quieted down.

"Phew... I'm finally alive." Kane breathed a sigh of relief. Now all he had to do was wait for get out of class to end, pull out the mandrake he had transferred his origin from, stuff it in his clothes, and replace it with the half-radish. That would completely complete his task for this class.

"yawn"

"Kane, get out of class is almost over." Harry gently patted Kane, who was standing and asleep, leaning on the table with his hands.

"I feel like I'm alive again." Kane yawned and slowly opened his eyes.

Just then, the school bell rang, signaling the end of get out of class.

Neville, without making a sound, immediately asked, "Professor, I... can I take a pot of mandrake?"

In an instant, all eyes in the greenhouse were drawn to Nawi.

Kane seized the opportunity; in that instant, he suddenly reached out, grabbed the mandrake's hair, and yanked it out.

On the other side, Na'vi, who was being lectured by Professor Sprout about how dangerous the mandrake was, was completely stunned when he saw Kane pull it out of the mandrake without any protection or cover.

Dude? This isn't what I expected. Shouldn't you just take the flowerpots with you? Why are you pulling up the weeds?

Right now, no one in the entire greenhouse is wearing those earmuffs. What's the difference between you and a terrorist doing this?

However, the expected piercing sound and death did not come. Kane shook the obviously better-looking mandrake like he was pulling out a dead radish, and after confirming that it had died right after the transfer, he quickly put it in his pocket.

Then Harry didn't hesitate, took out half a carrot, and forcefully stuck it into the flowerpot. At first glance, it actually looked quite decent.

"That's it. So, Mandrake is a very dangerous magical plant. Do you understand, Longbottom?"

Professor Sprout finally finished his sermon, and Neville nodded blankly.

Your Mandela and my Mandela seem different.

After class, Kane gave Neville a big hug. This guy really doesn't cause any trouble; he's got a good personality.

"Neville, my good brother, from now on your business is my business. If you have any problems, just come to me if I can help you!" Kane shook Neville excitedly, the strength with which he shook the chubby little Neville almost to the point of vomiting was completely at odds with his pale complexion that looked like he wouldn't survive the winter.

“I, I will, but your…” Neville struggled to break free from Kane’s grasp, looked around suspiciously, and then said, “What’s wrong with your blade of grass? It looks like it’s dead.”

Kane pursed his lips, but ultimately decided to tell the truth. After all, he had already used Shadow to temporarily register Neville's toads into the Eternal Realm, and there was no point in hiding the fact that his magic could change the form of living beings. Dumbledore and the others already knew about it, so he might as well tell the truth.

Neville nodded blankly after hearing the explanation. He thought it was just Kane's excuse, and the truth was that the poor mandrake had been killed by Kane without any surprise.

"Oh, by the way, I just saw Hagrid outside the castle. He asked me to tell you that you should visit his cottage sometime, saying he wants to ask you how your experience at Hogwarts is." Neville quickly forgot about the poor, murdered Mandragora and became a dutiful messenger.

"We'll go after lunch. See you at flight class this afternoon," Kane said, and he and Harry Ron headed towards the Great Hall.

He was in a great mood the whole way, and the corners of his mouth never left his mouth as he played cards with the sun. After all, when he met Hagrid later, he could ask him where all the spiders in the Forbidden Forest were. He was still waiting to make a tent and a spirit particle decomposer from the spider webs. This was like a pillow delivered to his sleepy head.

I don't know if it was Merlin's blessing, but my drink for lunch today was coffee, which saved Kane's life.

As for the other food, he only took a small taste, and watching Harry and Ron wolfing it down, he gave them a high-IQ smile.

We're going to visit Hagrid's cottage later, so we definitely need to save room for Hagrid's snacks.

Not long after...

"Yes, they'll love these rock cakes." Hagrid took a plate of red-hot rock cakes out of the furnace and placed them on an empty tray to cool naturally. This step, called tempering, reduces the hardness of the metal and increases its toughness.

Even if the molecular structure of rock crust cake is not iron, it is highly likely that it is not iron.

dong dong dong...

"Oh, they're here!" Hagrid rushed to open the door.

After the door opened, Kane, Harry, and Ron each carried a gift as they entered.

Hagrid was pleasantly surprised to see the three gifts on the table. What wonderful children they were! He then immediately started unwrapping the gifts.

Well, Harry's was a delicate little box, probably bound with a shrinking charm; Ron's was a brand new axe; and Kane's was a beige pouch, also bound with a shrinking charm. In short, they all looked quite valuable.

If Kane could hear Hagrid's thoughts, he would surely give an awkward yet polite smile. In truth, he had made all three gifts by hand, and they would only cause a little damage to the ecosystem around Hogwarts.

"Thank you so much, I love all these gifts."

Hagrid quickly led the three of them to sit down by the fireplace. Just as he was about to say something to them, a letter suddenly flew in through the window.

Hagrid picked up the letter, glanced at it, and his expression suddenly changed.

Kane picked up a rather heavy piece of rock crust cake, wondering if he could eat it in one bite, when he noticed Hagrid's strange expression: "What's wrong?"

Hagrid swallowed hard. "Professor Dumbledore sent a message saying a mandrake has been stolen from the greenhouse. Hogwarts Castle is like a ticking time bomb now; who knows when it will..."

Kane continued examining the rock-skin cake in his hand, his expression unchanged: "Then why did I write to you? Do you have some special method for finding mandrake?"

Hagrid shook his head: "Oh, no, it's mainly because Dumbledore told me that he already knows you stole the mandrake and wants you to turn yourself in."

Clang...

Kane looked up, bewildered, as the rock cake landed back on the plate and shattered it.

???

Chapter Thirty-Nine: If I graduate even one day later, Granger will write it backwards!

Kane: ? ? ?

Hagrid nodded: "Although your preparations and the cooperation between Harry Ron, oh, and Mr. Longbottom were perfect, the greenhouse has many dangerous plants, such as mandrake and biting cabbage, so Dumbledore used a special spell."

Kane picked up the rock cake that had fallen onto the plate, but because his gaze was fixed on Hagrid's face, he didn't notice that what he picked up wasn't a rock cake, but a shard of a white porcelain plate.

"So? What special purpose did this spell serve?"

Hagrid carefully crafted his words: "In short, the spell can record anything that happens in the greenhouse, and can be shown to people again whenever needed."

quack!

Kane bit a chip into the white porcelain plate, which had been fired at 1,200 degrees Celsius.

"Fine, fine, they even set up magical surveillance... Dumbledore tricked me." Kane sighed dejectedly, lowered his head, and then saw the plate he had bitten into and chipped.

.........

"So none of you were going to remind me?" Kane looked around at Harry, Ron, and Hagrid, only to find them all looking shocked.

“You…” Ron pointed at Kane himself, then at the plate in Kane’s hand: “ate it…?”

Kane then realized that he still had a lot of silica in his mouth, and quickly found a trash can to spit it all out.

Then he picked up the rock cake again: "After I finish this rock cake, I'll go find Dumbledore and die."

Hagrid waved his hand somewhat awkwardly: "It's not that serious, really."

Kane nodded. "I know, it was just a joke."

After saying that, he took a big bite of the rock-skin cake.

...............

Under Hagrid's eager gaze and Harry and Ron's horrified stares, a trickle of blood seeped from the corner of Kane's mouth.

"Is this rock-skin cake poisonous?" Ron asked in alarm, throwing the rock-skin cake onto the table.

Kane relented, shook his head, and put the intact rock cake into his pocket with a sigh of relief: "It was too hard, it's bad for my gums."

He slowly stood up: "I have to go quickly. Before I get to Dumbledore's, I need to go to the infirmary to see how to fix my tooth... or meatballs would be fine too, they both increase health..."

The three remaining in Hagrid's cabin heard Kane's voice grow fainter and fainter until it sounded like absurd, nonsensical ramblings, which was quite eerie.

Hagrid eventually tried to lighten the mood again: "Have you all tried my cookies? They're so delicious they're practically bleeding!"

As he spoke, he pushed the plate of cookies toward Harlow and his companion.

Meanwhile, Harlow and his companion stared at the porcelain plate on the table, which Kane had unconsciously bitten into and broken, and the blood from his gums left when he bit into the rock crust...

This is something that is really hard to agree with.

Unlike the tedious affair of Hagrid and his two companions in Hagrid's hut discussing how to use tooth enamel to attack diamonds, Kane had already arrived at Dumbledore's office.

Unfortunately, Madam Pomfrey was nowhere to be found, and he couldn't find the potion for healing teeth on any of the huge shelves, so he simply came to Dumbledore's place first.

The headmaster's office is usually quite peaceful. For example, right now it's just Kane and Dumbledore, ignoring the portraits of past headmasters behind Dumbledore.

"Hmm, do you know why I've come to see you?" Dumbledore asked with a smile.

"Isn't it because I stole the mandrake?" Kane looked at Dumbledore, who was asking a question he already knew the answer to, and thought he was just a lonely old man making conversation for no reason, so he simply didn't play along.

“I specifically asked Hagrid not to tell you this, to give you a shock.” Dumbledore put on a disappointed look, then looked at Kane again: “Then bring out the mandrake, after all, that plant is indeed too dangerous.”

Kane sighed, took the mandrake that had just been pulled from the ground and died the instant it was pulled from the ground out of the Great Hall from his pocket, and placed it in front of Dumbledore.

"This is... a mandrake?" Dumbledore stared in astonishment at the lifeless, ugly turnip in front of him. Something was wrong. Although the last time he had a herbalism class was over a hundred years ago, he remembered that mandrakes didn't look like this.

However, the magical fluctuations emanating from this grass clearly indicated that it was a genuine Mandrake...

"So you used your amazing shadow abilities to turn this mandrake into this... dead radish?" Dumbledore asked curiously, poking the mandrake with his finger.

"Hmm. Actually, it's quite useful. It can be made into a magical tool for hypnotizing other creatures, called a panpipe," Kane explained, saving Dumbledore from wasting any more breath.

Dumbledore leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, his expression practically screaming "I don't trust you!"

He then asked, "Are there any other ways to use it?"

“Eat,” Kane replied.

Dumbledore nodded. "Would you like a knife and fork?"

“Absolutely not.” Kane said, walking confidently toward the bedroom.

“There’s no dining table in my bedroom, Kane.” Dumbledore followed him in confusion, and then he saw Kane sitting on the lower bunk of the bunk bed, stuffing a whole mandrake into his mouth and chewing it, before leaning back.

In an instant, Dumbledore was certain that the claim that the so-called mandrake could be used to create hypnotic devices for other creatures was true.

Because he's already feeling a bit...

thump.
