Hogwarts: Me? Fight Voldemort?
Page 118
Even with the blade on his palate, Jimmy's speech was still somewhat unclear. "How about dropping a course? Professor McGonagall would probably be very supportive."
Hermione said excitedly, "I want to learn the Animagus ritual too... Ah! Why?"
This time, Jimmy really couldn't hold back and reached out to rub Hermione's face all over, saying, "Of course, it's to wake you up!"
She really doesn't care about her body at all, and she even wants to learn from Animagus?
Others only need to hold the animagus for a month, but Hermione used the Time-Turner, which gave her an extra half month. With this level of difficulty, she still wants to learn how to become an Animagus?
“Let’s have a few more lessons. I want to see how Professor Trelawney is going to lie.” Feeling guilty, Hermione didn’t resist much, letting Jimmy do whatever he wanted as if she wanted to give him a chance to vent.
She knew Jimmy cared about her, but she also had her own principles. It would be unreasonable to withdraw from the course after only one class!
The carefully prepared timetable had to be readjusted, and the worst outcome might be that Professor McGonagall would think of her as an impatient person.
At this moment, Ron, who was sitting not far away, spoke up as if he couldn't stand it any longer: "Hermione, you should take this seriously. What if Harry really saw something ominous?"
Then, as if remembering something, he asked Harry with concern, "Harry, have you seen a big black dog anywhere?"
Harry had never seen Ron with such a serious expression before, and he answered honestly, "Yes, I saw it. I saw a big black dog the night I left the Dursleys' house."
Hermione dismissed it, saying, "It's probably just a stray dog."
She simply didn't believe in such mystical things as divination... or rather, she didn't believe her friend would be in danger; nor did she want to.
So she hated that Ron always talked about these ominous and unlucky things, which did nothing but scare Harry.
Unexpectedly, this remark inexplicably displeased Ron. He frowned and explained again, "Hermione, it would be terrible if Harry saw the omen. My uncle Billiers saw one, and—and he died twenty-four hours later!"
Hermione glared at Ron, clearly annoyed. "Coincidence!"
Did Ron even realize what he was saying? Professor McGonagall had already said that Professor Trelawney wasn't a prophet, yet she kept trying to scare Harry over and over again.
Is this funny?!
“You have no idea what you’re talking about!” Ron retorted, his voice rising involuntarily. “Most wizards would be terrified out of their wits at the sight of something ominous!”
“That’s exactly it!” Hermione retorted, equally annoyed. “They saw an ominous sign and were scared to death. An ominous sign isn’t a bad omen, it’s the cause of death. Harry is still with us because he’s not stupid enough to think…”
She feigned fear and exclaimed, "Oh no! I'm doomed!"
Ron's face flushed red again, just like his hair. "Don't talk to me like that! You don't know anything!"
Harry looked to Jimmy for help, once again caught in a dilemma.
Neville, Ginny, and Hydra, who were sitting at the same table, all pretended to be mute.
After all, the two of them are on completely different wavelengths, and the main reason they can argue is because of their different experiences.
Ron, born into a wizarding family, naturally believed in divination, while Hermione, born into a Muggle family, naturally rejected it. In a short time, neither of them could convince the other.
What does Jimmy think?
Eat rice with gusto and drink milk with gusto!
New Year's break
Tonight will mark the start of 2025. I hope 2025 will be a year that gets better and better.
Either be happier, or the world needs a major overhaul; right now, it's stuck in the middle, not satisfying at all.
Chapter 203 Substitution
Jimmy should thank Ron!
Send him a wife!
They should be brought together; Ron and Lavender are a match made in heaven.
"I think Divination class is a complete mess!" Hermione ignored the irrational Ron, took the arithmetic and divination textbook out of her pocket, opened it, and propped it up on the juice jug. "It's all just guesswork!"
Ron, who had been pulled back to his seat by Harry, couldn't hold back and retorted, "The ominous thing in that cup isn't just a lump of mush!"
"When you told Harry it was a sheep, you didn't sound so sure," Hermione said curtly.
Ron was getting a little carried away, and he retorted, "Professor Trelawney said you're not talented enough! You're just used to being a show-off and don't want to admit you can't do something!"
Upon hearing this blunt remark, Hermione was unusually flustered. She slammed the book shut, so hard that the bits of meat and carrots on her plate splashed into the air and floated up.
"Okay, that's about right!"
Jimmy calmly placed the meat scraps back onto his plate, but inwardly he was shouting: Ron, well done!
Everyone looked at Jimmy, who calmly rose to take sides, saying, "Frankly, you should all be working on solving problems, not creating them. Ron, constantly repeating ominous signs to scare Harry won't protect him, nor will it serve any positive purpose. Similarly, Hermione needs to control herself."
Hermione took a few deep breaths and nodded, saying, "Phew! I will... I'll go to Professor McGonagall and withdraw from the course."
After saying that, she stuffed the book back into her pocket, left without eating, clearly still angry.
Ron, who was also targeted, was still angry, but Jimmy's words seemed to make sense and cleared his head a bit. He complained to Harry, "She just doesn't believe in fortune-telling, even though it's a very normal thing."
Harry chuckled awkwardly, unsure how to respond.
Hydra, standing nearby, expressed sympathy for Hermione's plight and said to Ron, "You should apologize to Hermione. She wasn't born into a wizarding family, and there's no real divination among Muggles. It's normal for her not to believe."
She was indeed the most clear-headed person present; at least she could tell that Hermione wanted to shut Ron up so that the matter could pass.
After his racist views changed, Hydra found a lot of information about Muggles and read it in his spare time, which gave him a very deep understanding and a changed perspective on Muggles.
That sense of superiority vanished without a trace during those bloody years, and even gave rise to some fear.
The history of the two World Wars, in particular, is shocking.
Ron still dares not approach Hydra; she is like a chaotic entity that has become an unspeakable source of terror in Ron's heart.
The suggestion to apologize to Hermione was quickly abandoned after a brief moment of consideration in his not-so-bright mind. He didn't think he was wrong; after all, Hermione didn't believe in divination and didn't care about Harry's safety, so why should he apologize?
The others, seeing Ron silently eating his rice, temporarily steered clear of this unpleasant topic.
After finishing his dinner, Jimmy packed some food for Hermione and left the Great Hall.
Hermione didn't go to Professor McGonagall; Professor McGonagall was watching this side of the long table from the professors' table!
Hermione leaving through the Great Hall doors couldn't possibly be going to see Professor McGonagall.
Finally, Hermione was found in front of the fireplace in the common room where there was only one person. She was holding a book on arithmetic and divination and seemed not to care much about what had just happened, but in reality, she was still very concerned.
If she didn't care, she wouldn't have put down her book the moment she saw Jimmy.
“The little snake suggested to Ron that we apologize to you, on the grounds that we come from the world of ordinary people and are naturally insensitive to divination.” Jimmy handed Hermione the hastily transformed lunchbox and sat down next to her.
Hermione, who had just received the lunchbox, was a little depressed. She seemed to understand, but she was unwilling to admit it. She lowered her head, opened the lunchbox, and began to eat.
“There’s nothing wrong with arguing.” Jimmy started to chat with Hermione, comforting her, “At least you know what kind of person Ron is. If you encounter similar problems in the future, you won’t need to waste time trying to persuade someone you can’t persuade, or… you can communicate more directly.”
The food, which was usually delicious, was now hard to swallow. Hermione struggled to swallow, and after a moment of hesitation, she admitted her mistake, "He's right, I don't know anything about divination."
"Will you apologize to Ron?" Jimmy asked curiously.
Hermione scoffed, "I don't think I started it. If anyone should apologize, it's him."
Jimmy nodded and said, "That makes a lot of sense. Do you still want to take divination classes?"
“No way! I’m not really interested in divination.” Hermione shook her head slightly, took a vicious bite of the mashed potatoes in her spoon, and her voice became muffled. “Professor Trelawney, all she teaches is how to use divination to drive people crazy.”
"The right choice!" Jimmy said with satisfaction. "Eat up, your body is the foundation for progress. You need to eat enough nutrition to grow properly!"
After dinner, the lunchbox and spoon turned back into oil paper and were thrown into the fireplace.
Jimmy sat with Hermione in front of the fireplace for a while, and after the Gryffindors slowly returned, he remembered he had something else to do, so he said goodbye to Hermione and went back to his dormitory.
He looked at Scabbers sleeping beside Ron's pillow, reached into his pocket and took out a small iron cage containing a mouse about the same size as Scabbers.
Jimmy put the two mice together, used shapeshifting to correct their differences, and finally transformed the newly found mouse into the shape of Spotted, cut off a finger and replaced it with the one next to the pillow.
The real Scabbers was locked in an iron cage. Jimmy picked up the cage and looked at Scabbers, who was still fast asleep inside. His eerie, cacophony laughter filled the dormitory, making Harry's owl, Hathaway, tremble with fear.
Shortly afterward, Harry and Ron returned to their dormitory.
The first thing Ron did upon returning was to run to his bed to check on Fake Stigmata. Just then, Fake Stigmata woke up and happily sniffed around.
"Jimmy! Your potion really works! Look how energetic Scabbers is now!"
Ron was depressed, but he immediately felt better after seeing Splatter recover. He happily showed Splatter to the other roommates.
Jimmy smiled and nodded, "Once you're healthy, you don't need to drink it anymore. Drinking too much potion isn't good either."
"Thank you so much, Jimmy!" The silly boy Ron didn't notice anything amiss and even kissed the fake Scabbers a few times.
Luckily, Jimmy had washed the fake fleas twice beforehand, so the fleas and dirt were gone, otherwise he would have had a hard time.
As night fell, Jimmy borrowed Harry's Invisibility Cloak to leave the Gryffindor common room and go to the eighth floor of the castle.
He walked back and forth three times in front of the tapestry depicting the troll beating Barnabas, thinking of a pristine white torture chamber, a pristine white torture chamber…
A huge door suddenly appeared on the wall opposite the tapestry. Pushing open the crack in the door, one could see the clean and beautiful torture chamber that Jimmy needed.
Chapter 204 Do-or-die fitness equipment
Opposite the torture chamber, against the wall, was a cross taller than a person. Jimmy took out Scabbers the rat and used the Restore to Human form spell to turn him back into Peter Pettigrew.
Peter Pettigrew was still asleep. When he turned back into a fat, shifty-eyed middle-aged man, he was still wearing the same clothes he had worn more than a decade ago, and he was fast asleep on the ground.
Because Animagus can deform clothes along with them, Peter Pettigrew, who often bathes with Ron, doesn't have any odor.
Jimmy took out his wand, lifted Peter Pettigrew up, and, imitating Jesus, bound him to the cross.
Take out the potion used to restrict the use of magic when capturing slaves, and the potion that makes people weak, and pour them all into Peter Pettigrew's mouth.
After finishing these tasks, Jimmy ignored them and took out various ingredients to start brewing the genuine Qunbolong and the weakened version of Qunbolong.
The aroma of meat emanating from the two potions during their brewing made Peter Pettigrew, who had been sleeping all day without eating anything, drool.
Unconscious saliva dripped from his fat face and half-open mouth. He was still asleep, but he had already begun to savor the food in his dream.
Thirty minutes later, the remaining potent drug was added all at once, and a strange smell spread. Peter Pettigrew's expression of enjoyment instantly turned into pain.
After whimpering for a while, it slowly opened its eyes and woke up.
"You're awake?" Jimmy commented playfully when he saw Peter Pettigrew wake up. "Not bad, the sleep time was shorter than I expected. Looks like I'll have to increase the dosage."
Peter Pettigrew had just woken up, his mind still foggy. He didn't say a word, still thinking he was a mouse. But when he tried to move, he suddenly turned his head left and right and saw his hands bound with steel bars. He immediately screamed in panic.
