Starting with summoning the succubus

He planned to have Elena and Catherine consume the eight-patterned Ancient Demon Eye after returning, thus officially advancing them to the eighth rank.

Next, he used the stat-adding system to help the two succubi reach the peak of the eighth rank.

At that time, looking across the vast Tianyuan Dao Sect, and even the entire Yuanqi Realm, apart from that Ninth Realm Supreme Elder who is in seclusion at Taixuan Mountain, no one will be able to pose a threat to them!

……

……

Tianyuan Dao Sect, Tianyuan Hall.

The old man, the head of the sect, slowly entered the empty and quiet hall, stood in the center, and stood with his hands behind his back.

"Sect Master, why are you helping Yun Muzhi and those three extraterrestrial demons?"

An elder from a sect dressed in a blue robe slowly walked over and asked the old man with a puzzled look, "Besides, you don't seem to have investigated the background of those three extraterrestrial demons. Are you sure it's alright? Or should I go and investigate?"

"I performed a divination last night."

The old man lowered his eyelids and spoke calmly: "That divination gave me eight words: 'Disaster arises from the outside, and is resolved from within...' But my lifespan is coming to an end, and my vital energy is almost exhausted, which has made my divination ability far less than before. After I calculated this divination, I immediately realized that I had made a mistake. The divination of that child, Mu Zhi, satisfied me greatly. After I die, that child's divination ability will be the key to the sect's continued prosperity for another thousand years."

"What do you mean?"

Upon hearing this, the blue-robed elder couldn't help but feel puzzled. "Yun Muzhi's verification divination said that you were completely wrong last night, and the error was exactly the opposite. The divination must be reversed to be correct. So, if we reverse the eight characters 'misfortune arises from the outside, and is resolved from the inside,' then... uh, could it be 'misfortune arises from the inside, and is resolved from the outside'? Is that right?"

The blue-robed elder paused slightly at this point.

"Yes, the trouble originated from within, but was resolved from without."

The old man closed his eyes and sighed softly, "So, the real answer should be that the three visitors from beyond the realm that Mu Zhi brought back will be the key to resolving this calamity... However, the calamity originated from within. Within? That is to say, this disaster was caused by our sect. So, who is responsible? And what is the cause?"

"Ugh……"

"It is far more heartbreaking for me than when our own people make mistakes than when foreign enemies invade..."

Chapter 417 Advancement to the Eighth Rank!

Inside a room at Baiyun Pavilion.

Qi Lin stood beside the table, slowly opened the storage bag that Yun Muzhi had given him, and took out all four Ancient Demon Eyes inside.

As Catherine previously stated, this material, known as the "Eye of the Ancient Demon," appears to be a purplish-black crystal shaped like an eyeball, with eight black lines engraved on its surface, indicating that all four Eyes of the Ancient Demon are of the eighth rank.

“Nana, start.”

Qi Lin picked up two Ancient Demon Eyes and handed them to Elena and Catherine beside him.

“Master, when we succubi advance to the eighth rank, we need to slumber for a period of time.”

Catherine didn't answer, but smiled and said, "So, just to be on the safe side, Elaina and I will take turns advancing. Let Elaina advance first, and I'll advance later, so that we don't both fall into a deep sleep and then something happens that requires us to fight, and you don't have a demon to possess."

"Makes sense."

Elena nodded gently.

"How long will it take to fall asleep?" Qi Lin asked.

"Hmm... I'm not sure."

Catherine thought for a moment and said, "I remember the book said that if we advance through the Ancient Demon Eye, the time we need to sleep is inversely proportional to the quality of the Ancient Demon Eye. The higher the quality of the Ancient Demon Eye, the shorter our sleep time will be, and vice versa. If the quality of the Ancient Demon Eye is high enough, we may only need to sleep for a few days, but if the quality is poor, we may need to sleep for one or two months."

"Alright, then Elena will go first."

Qi Lin handed an Ancient Demon Eye to the little succubus and chuckled, "Anyway, we're just sitting around doing nothing. Instead of waiting, why not proceed with this advancement? After all, who knows how long it will take Daoist Yun to get us into Tai Xuan Mountain to go home?"

"I hope Master Yun can be more reliable."

Elena took the Ancient Demon Eye, first examining it closely, then bringing it to her nose to smell it. "Hey, it smells pretty good, like grape cheesecake~"

"you sure?"

Upon hearing this, Catherine's face lit up with surprise. "I remember reading in the book that ordinary quality Ancient Demon Eyes are completely odorless, and only ultra-high quality Ancient Demon Eyes emit a unique fragrance, which only a few royal blood demons can smell! Elena, you are a royal blood succubus, can you really smell the fragrance?!"

"Of course!"

Elena sniffed it carefully a few more times, then nodded seriously.

"Then smell these three again."

Seeing this, Qi Lin immediately handed her the remaining three Ancient Demon Eyes.

"Hmm? This has absolutely no taste."

Elena smelled the first one, then handed it back to Qi Lin.

Then came the second one.

"This one has only a tiny bit of fragrance, it's nowhere near as good as mine."

The last one is the third one.

"Hmm~"

Elena sniffed, then picked up the third Ancient Demon Eye with her fingers and said to Catherine, "This one smells alright, but it's still not as good as mine."

"A pleasant fragrance is enough."

Catherine smiled as she accepted the Ancient Demon Eye.

"Alright, let's begin."

Qi Lin patted Elena's head and laughed, "Eat early, sleep early, and you'll get promoted sooner. Don't waste any more time."

"okay."

Elena took her strongest-smelling Ancient Demon Eye, walked to the bedside and lay down, then asked Catherine, "By the way... is there anything I should be careful about when eating this? It's not mentioned in the royal bloodline I've received so far."

“Just a little,” Catherine said. “This thing is swallowed raw; it can’t be chewed.”

"Oh."

Elena nodded, then tilted her head back, opened her mouth, and threw the ancient demon eye directly into her mouth, letting it slide down her throat.

"Buzz!"

A few seconds later, a large amount of purplish-black light surged from Elena's body, instantly enveloping her completely and transforming her into a purplish-black oval giant egg.

"Medication completed."

Catherine looked at Qi Lin and explained, "Master, once Elena hatches on her own, it means she has successfully advanced to the eighth rank. What we need to do is ensure that her 'egg' remains intact during this time. If it is damaged by external forces, then this advancement will fail."

"it is good."

Qi Lin nodded slightly, then walked to the window and pulled the window and curtains closed tightly.

However, before closing the window completely, Qi Lin couldn't help but look into the distance at the mountain peak where many giant black eagles circled.

That is the Demon Prison Peak, where the three-eyed ancient demons who invaded the Yuanqi Realm five years ago are imprisoned.

Are there any three-eyed ancient demons of the eighth rank imprisoned there?

Elena and Catherine's advancement to the eighth rank is practically imminent, but what about him?

As a demon wielder, if Qi Lin wants to advance to the eighth rank, he still has to go back to the old path and devour an eighth-rank demon.

But what about an eighth-tier demon?

The summoning array that summons an eighth-order demon from hell requires a large amount of array diagram materials and also requires superb magic array drawing skills. These are high-difficulty tasks that only professionals can handle. Even if Qi Lin could obtain the materials now, he wouldn't have the skills to draw the array diagram.

Therefore, the path of summoning magic arrays is basically out of the question in the Yuanqi Realm.

Qi Lin was mainly thinking about Imprisoning Demon Peak.

He felt that there must be an eighth-level three-eyed ancient demon imprisoned inside that Demon-Imprisoning Peak. If he could get one out and devour it, he could advance to the eighth level!

But this matter is likely to be difficult to handle.

After all, to the Yuanqi Realm and the Tianyuan Dao Sect, this group of three-eyed ancient demons were all invaders and war criminals.

Even so, after the victory in the war, the Supreme Elder of the Tianyuan Dao Sect still did not order the killing of these three-eyed ancient demons, but instead imprisoned them all... There must be a reason behind this seemingly strange thing.

But whatever the reason, the Supreme Elder's attitude was very clear—no killing allowed!

Under these circumstances, Qi Lin estimated that even if he made this request to Yun Muzhi, Yun Muzhi probably wouldn't be able to help him.

However, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

What if there's hope?

“Catherine, you stay here and watch over Elena’s egg. I’m going to find Yun Muzhi to ask him something.”

Thinking of this, Qi Lin walked towards the door.

"Okay, master."

Catherine stood by the bed, guarding the giant purplish-black egg that Elena had transformed into, and nodded gently.

……

……

After leaving the room, Qi Lin went to the top floor of Baiyun Pavilion, found Yun Muzhi, and expressed his thoughts to him.

The answer disappointed Qi Lin, but it was also within his expectations.

--no.

According to Yun Muzhi, the group of three-eyed ancient demons in Prison Demon Peak were ones that the Supreme Elder had repeatedly emphasized must not be killed. Therefore, regarding this matter, not only is Yun Muzhi helpless now, but even if he becomes the Dao Child or even the Sect Master in the future, he will still be unable to resolve this issue.

After all, the Daoist disciples and sect leaders of the Tianyuan Dao Sect are, in essence, just managers of this sect.

The true master of this sect is the Supreme Elder who is in seclusion on Mount Taixuan. As the only person in the entire Yuanqi Realm at the Ninth Realm, the old man's words are absolutely law, and no one dares to disobey him.

……

……

After 8 days.

Elena awoke from her slumber and successfully hatched, advancing to the eighth rank!

Qi Lin then used the stat allocation system to raise all of Elena's attributes to the peak of the eighth tier, making her a powerful demon at the peak of the eighth tier!
