Shinjo frowned as he saw the two movers and the driver; the three of them looked strangely familiar. If they took off their hats, weren't they Akai, Jodie, and Camel?

The FBI is really powerful. This book fair was only started yesterday, and they've already planted people in it today.

"Excuse me, could you move aside?" Akai said to Shinjo, who was observing from the doorway, his hat brim pulled low and carrying a stack of books.

"I'm very sorry." Shinjo took a step back somewhat awkwardly.

Akai led Camel into the Kudo residence. As they entered, the two looked around, clearly observing their surroundings.

On the distant building

Chianti was observing the new city's movements through the building when she frowned slightly. "What is that guy doing? This is his second time here. Isn't he being a bit too cautious in his reconnaissance?"

“There’s a book fair on the day of the meeting, so things probably won’t go too smoothly. That’s why he wants to confirm some details.” Cohen nodded. “A very meticulous approach. No wonder even Gin has to be careful.”

Just then, they saw through the scope that Xincheng exchanged a few words with the porters who came out, and even offered them cigarettes.

Shuichi Akai, who had just come out of the Kudo residence, was also taken aback. He hadn't expected the Japanese man to be so enthusiastic, but considering his own status, he couldn't refuse.

But as soon as he picked up the cigarette, he sensed something was wrong, because it wasn't a cigarette at all, but a strip of paper rolled up to look like a cigarette.

He simply tucked the note behind his ear, while Xincheng handed a cigarette to Camer, lighting it with a lighter.

“Pull your hat down a bit. Cohen has seen your face before, and he’s looking right here,” Shinjo said in a low voice, his back to the building behind him. “You’d better back out of the Japanese operation, Carmel.”

Carmel was taken aback, then took a deep drag on his cigarette to calm himself. Since the other party knew his name and had reminded him, they probably weren't an enemy.

"What on earth is that guy doing? Why is he handing cigarettes to those guys?" Chianti's face darkened, and the fact that her finger was still on the trigger betrayed her thoughts; she wanted nothing more than to shoot him dead.

If it weren't for this guy arranging to meet Rye here, they wouldn't have needed to be on call 24/7, constantly watching this dilapidated house.

Keeping watch is no easy task, and even with Calvados and Cohen taking turns, the hot-tempered Chianti was starting to lose his temper. Seeing Newtown's subservient demeanor only fueled his anger.

“Gin hates rats the most. This time, in order to lure out the rye, he gave up the fight against Cognac and Pisco.” Cohen seemed to have seen through Chianti’s intentions and advised, “You should just be patient.”

Kamal nodded to New Town and then got into the car. Although he didn't know who this guy was, he was probably an ally.

Meanwhile, in the car, Akai handed the note to Jodie, took out another cigarette from the pack, clipped it to his ear, and then began the next step of his work.

Judy, inside the carriage, paused when she saw the note Akai handed her. Her expression tightened after reading the words on it. Sensing something was wrong, she turned around, only to find the man who had offered her the cigarette was gone.

Judy shook her head at Akai and gestured for them to speed up.

There weren't many books in the carriage, and with Akai and Camel working together, the unloading was completed in just ten minutes.

As Carmel started the car, Akai took out the architectural drawings he had prepared beforehand and began marking some information on them. He casually asked, "What did that note say? And what did he say to you?"

"The note said there's a sniper watching us from the building across the street." Judy finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Moving books under the nose of a sniper was a lot of pressure. She was worried that if Cameron found out, he would give himself away, so she kept quiet and just told them to speed up.

"A sniper?" Akai was taken aback.

Although he knew the organization would use snipers to kill him, he didn't expect the snipers to arrive so early.

“That guy said Cohen saw my face and was looking at me,” Carmel said hesitantly. “He even called me by name.”

“Cohen?” Akai’s eyelids twitched.

Cohen was a member of Gin's assassination squad. Since Cohen was here, Gin must be nearby. These guys really went to great lengths to kill me. But who was the person who warned me earlier?

"What's wrong? Is this person special?" Jodie asked, looking at Shuichi Akai with some confusion.

“Cohen isn’t a name, it’s a code name, Cohen liquor,” Akai said after a moment’s thought. “It seems they’ve been watching this place for a while.”

“Show…” Judy hesitated for a moment before saying, “Maybe we shouldn’t go. Knowing it’s a trap and still walking into it, that’s just too much…”

Judy was interrupted by Akai before she could finish speaking; he took this meeting very seriously.

Even knowing it's a trap, he'd still step into it because it concerns Akemi Miyano.

But now there's still one question: who exactly was the person who reminded me?

Cohen is one of Gin's men, so it's not surprising that people in the organization know of his existence; most people with codenames within the organization are aware of him. The problem, however, is that knowing Cohen is watching from upstairs is unusual. Could it be that there's a traitor among Gin's trusted confidants?

If he's a traitor, which side is he on? The CIA, or the Japanese Public Security Bureau?

Chapter 103 The Entry of Irish Liquor

Inside the Koshimizu Detective Agency

"Conan, what brings you here again?" Yue Shui looked at Conan in front of her with some helplessness. "Our company does not employ underage employees, so you don't need to come in and clock in every day."

"I came to see Uncle Shinjo, but he's not here today either?" Conan's eyes gleamed with curiosity. "Sister Koshimizu, aren't you Uncle Shinjo's partner? You should know what he's doing, right? Could you tell me?"

Yue Shui looked at Conan in front of her with a bit of a headache. She was starting to feel overwhelmed by his relentless pestering. If she knew, she would have already told him, but the problem was, she had no idea what Shinjo was doing.

Thinking of this, she looked at the detective agency's phone and began to consider whether she should report the situation to Shinjo.

Anyway, it's just a meeting, it shouldn't be a big deal. If Conan keeps bothering her, she'll have a nervous breakdown.

Conan naturally noticed Koshimizu's subtle actions and nodded secretly. As long as he remembered the number that Ms. Koshimizu dialed, he could use his connections to find the number and address, and then find a way to locate Tetsuo Shinjo.

That guy was avoiding me. I saw him at the entrance of Siling Bank just a few days ago. He lied to me and said he was on a business trip. How despicable!

"I'm so sorry, Conan." Koshimizu looked at Conan in front of her, smiled, walked to the door, and locked it.

"Sister Yue Shui, why are you locking the door?" Conan's nerves tensed up instantly when he heard the sound of the door being locked.

Tetsuo Shinjo infiltrated that organization, and as his partner, Nanatsuki Koshimizu is very likely also a member of the organization.

Although he had previously ruled out the possibility that Nanatsukoshi was a member of the organization through observation, seeing the malicious smile on her face, he began to doubt the accuracy of his reasoning.

"Conan-kun, do you know what adults usually do when their children misbehave?" Koshimizu asked, her hands on her knees, bowing as she looked at the somewhat panicked Conan.

"I don't know." Conan chuckled and scratched the back of his head.

"I don't know? Well, you'll find out soon enough." Yue Shui snorted and then walked to the phone.

Seeing Koshimizu walk to the phone, Conan put his hands behind his back and pressed the switch on the tranquilizer dart. He was ready. If Koshimizu was calling someone in the organization, he would directly tranquilize Koshimizu Nanatsuki and then find a way to escape.

Just then, Koshimizu started dialing numbers, and Conan's expression became somewhat strange as he pressed each number.

Each key on the phone has a different sound, and you can tell what the phone number is by the sound. But why does this number sound so familiar? It seems like I've heard it somewhere before.

"Hello, is this Ran?" Koshimizu Nanatsuki was also taken aback when she heard the voice on the other end of the phone. "Oh, it's Uncle Mori. Actually, it's nothing serious. It's just that Conan has been coming to our place to see Shinjo every day for the past two days, which has been affecting the detective agency's business."

Conan's facial muscles relaxed. Oh, it was just a call for his parents. He hadn't thought it was anything serious.

After exchanging a few more words with Kogoro Mouri on the other end of the phone, Nanatsuki Koshimizu hung up and then looked at Conan with a smile.

"Um, what did Uncle Mori say?" Conan asked somewhat awkwardly.

It was only then that he realized he was just a child. Perhaps because he had previously become Shinichi Kudo and his mindset hadn't changed, he had been negotiating with Koshimizu with the mindset of an adult, forgetting that he still had Kogoro Mouri and Ran Mouri overseeing him.

"He said he'd be right over and would give you a good lesson, so you'd be prepared," Yue Shui said with a smile.

Conan couldn't help but shudder, feeling a phantom pain on the top of his head.

Seeing Conan's discomfiture, Yue Shui felt much better. He figured that after suffering such a huge loss, the little brat wouldn't bother him for the next few days.

Soon, Kogoro Mouri arrived at the Koshimizu Detective Agency with Ran, looking embarrassed and apologizing, while also giving Conan a big bump on his head. If Ran hadn't stopped him, Conan might have turned into Buddha today.

Watching the three leave, Yue Shui hung up a "Closed for Business" sign at the detective agency, then dialed the supercomputing center's number directly. The call was quickly transferred to Shinjo's cell phone by Karen.

"Hello?" Shinjo, who was in the parking lot, was taken aback when he saw that it was Yueshui calling.

"Where are you now? Why don't you meet with Conan?" Yue Shui said with a headache. "That brat is so persistent, I can't take it anymore."

"It's a secret. What I'm doing right now is very dangerous, so it's not convenient for us to meet." Xincheng pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Then you'd better be careful," Yue Shui said helplessly.

“Hang in there a little longer,” Shinjo said, frowning. “Tokyo is going to be very turbulent in the next few days. I’ll meet with him after these days are over. If you really can’t take it anymore, you can call the Mouri Detective Agency. Kogoro’s reasoning is unreliable, but he’s very experienced when it comes to taking care of kids.”

“I’ve already looked for him; it was Kogoro who brought him back today.” Koshimizu also had a bit of a headache. “But you should know that kid’s personality better than I do; he’ll be relentlessly pursuing me in a couple of days. And…”

"And what?"

"And Kogoro Mouri also asked you where you went today, it seems..."

"I understand. I'll go to the Mouri Detective Agency in a couple of days to sort things out." Shinjo hung up the phone after saying that, checked his two handguns and the magazines on his person, and then got out of his car.

Kogoro Mouri's reasoning skills are actually not bad; what he lacks is the ability to collect evidence.

Because of the closeness to those around him, this weakness is somewhat compensated for. He's been spending a lot of time with Kogoro Mouri lately, and his question to Koshimizu suggests that Koshimizu has likely already noticed something.

Just then, a luxury Cadillac pulled up in a parking space across from New Town. Ireland and Pisco got out of the front seat and checked their weapons right under the security camera.

Pisco is alright, he only has a pistol, but Irish Liquor is a bit outrageous, with two submachine guns and a revolver. This firepower configuration is even better than Newtown's.

After holstering his weapon, Pisco walked toward the new town with the Irish liquor in his hand.

“This is my student, Irish Wine,” Pisco introduced to Newtown, then turned to Irish Wine and said, “This is the Cognac I mentioned to you, now he’s also my ally.”

"Irish liquor, nice to meet you." Irish liquor extended its hand towards the new town.

“Cognac.” Newtown shook hands briefly before releasing them, his gaze towards Pisco filled with doubt. “Everyone knows you recalled the Irish liquor, but bringing it to Gin…”

“This time, I introduced Irish liquor to Gin. I’m getting old and need someone to take my place,” Pisco said with a smile. “Irish liquor is just right.”

Chapter 104 Assassination of Akai and the Neckband

Looking at Pisco, Newtown thought, "Who doesn't know your connection to Irish liquor? Retirement? I'm afraid you're just stepping back from the limelight."

Just then, several more cars drove in, and Bourbon, Chianti, Cohen, Calvados, and a few others got out. They were also taken aback to see Pisco and Cognac walking together.

Pisco showed a slightly embarrassed expression, then invited Shinjo to come upstairs with him.

Inside the bar, Gin and Vodka had already found seats, and next to them were Kiel and Vermouth, whom Shinjo hadn't met before. Shinjo was taken aback when he saw them; there didn't seem to be any of their cars in the parking lot.

"Boss, everyone's here," Vodka whispered in Gin's ear.

Gin nodded, then looked at Vermouth. Vermouth, who was on the other side, also received the signal, picked up a remote control, and turned on the projector.

Upon seeing the content displayed on the projector, Shinichi frowned. The screen showed eight photos: James, Judy, Carmel, and several other FBI agents.

Fortunately, Shuichi Akai's photo did not appear on the screen, otherwise the FBI team that came to Japan this time would have been completely wiped out.

However, the FBI is incredibly incompetent. They didn't even realize they had been photographed so many times. No wonder Gin was able to hold out against them for so long with a team of traitors and scoundrels.

"Is this a prelude to taking action against the FBI?" Pisco was a veteran of the organization, and the FBI was the organization's long-time adversary. He was quite familiar with several familiar faces within the FBI.

"Our target this time isn't the FBI, it's Rat," Gin said in a deep voice. "Haven't you found him?"
