After getting dressed and everything was in order, Huo took out the gift box containing the jade pendant and walked towards the hall.

The auditorium was a place Huo had never been to before, and even the original owner of this body had only been there a handful of times.

The town's auditorium is usually not very lively, and its exterior is just a slightly larger pointed-roof building with its walls painted pure white.

But the hall was unusually lively today, because it was the wedding day of Valentine's son, the factory's newly appointed supervisor.

When Huo arrived at the hall, a dozen or so helpers were preparing for the wedding banquet.

The lawn outside the auditorium was covered with flowers, and the interior of the auditorium was adorned with colorful ribbons.

Seeing that the time had not yet arrived, the main characters of the wedding had naturally not yet come.

Huo found a slightly secluded spot to sit down, and now all he had to do was quietly wait for the main character to appear.

Time passed by, and more and more guests arrived for the wedding.

As noon approached, the wedding guests suddenly became restless.

Huo also stood up and looked towards the entrance of the auditorium, where he saw Lawrence getting out of the car wearing a dark tailcoat and a pure white bow tie.

The car belonged to Baron Rosenthal; he was the only one in the entire town who could afford a car.

After getting out of the car, Lawrence hurriedly walked to the back door.

He opened the car door and reached out to help the bride, who was sitting in the back seat, out of the car.

The pure white wedding dress accentuated the bride's graceful figure, while the pure white veil on her head covered her long golden hair.

Lawrence led the bride slowly toward the chapel, followed by the couple's family members.

Walking along the flower-lined path, listening to the praises of the guests around them, Lawrence led his bride into the hall.

Inside the auditorium, the priest, who had been waiting on the stage, had a solemn expression.

Upon seeing the bride and groom enter the hall, the guests followed suit, and Huo Huan also entered the hall with the crowd.

Inside the hall, the bride and groom walked to the front of the stage, and the guests took their seats to wait for the wedding ceremony to begin.

Before the ceremony began, Lawrence subconsciously turned his head to look at the guest seats, and only turned back after he saw Huo Huan in the crowd.

"Lawrence, you are willing to treat the bride as your wife, live with her according to the teachings of the Bible, be united with her before God, love her, comfort her, respect her, and protect her, just as you love yourself."

"Whether she is sick or healthy, rich or poor, remain faithful to her until she leaves this world?"

The priest, holding a Bible, looked solemnly at Lawrence.

"I do," Lawrence replied to the bride with a serious expression.

"Riley, do you take him to be your wife, to live with him in the presence of God and be united with him as the Bible teaches, to love him, comfort him, respect him, and protect him, just as you love yourself?"

"Whether he is sick or healthy, rich or poor, remain faithful to him until he leaves this world?"

"I do," Riley blurted out without hesitation.

"Now exchange rings as a token of your marriage," the priest continued.

The moment the priest finished speaking, a boy and a girl, each holding a small gift box, walked onto the stage.

The bride and groom each received their gift boxes, took out the rings inside, and put them on each other's fingers.

The ring was made of pure gold and shone brilliantly in the sunlight streaming into the hall.

"By the authority granted to me by the sacred Bible, I now declare that, under God's watchful eye, this couple is now lawfully married. What God has joined together, let no one separate."

As the ceremony concluded, the hall erupted in thunderous cheers as guests offered their blessings to the newlyweds.

After the ceremony, the banquet began. Pushing through the crowd, Huo walked towards Lawrence.

"Happy marriage," Huo said with a smile, handing over the gift he was carrying.

"Thank you," Lawrence said with a smile as he accepted the gift and gave his good friend a hug.

Seeing that other guests were coming up to offer their blessings and that the gifts had already been given, Huo didn't linger and left the church to enjoy the banquet.

The food at the banquet wasn't exactly delicious for Huo, who was used to eating all sorts of online delicacies, but it was still quite plentiful.

Since arriving in this world, Huo has not yet properly tasted the food here, so this is a good opportunity to try them all.

Picking up his plate, Huo began to wander around the various tables, tasting any food that caught his eye.

After eating a piece of cake, Huo picked up a napkin to wipe his mouth. The food wasn't exactly delicious, but it was alright, and Huo managed to get half full.

Not far from Huo, Baron Rosenthal, who had also come to attend the wedding, saw that Huo had not finished eating and quickly came over with a wine glass.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Hogan," Baron Rosent greeted him with a broad smile.

"Is there anything I can do for you, Baron Rosenthal?" Huo put his napkin down and turned to look at Baron Rosenthal, who was approaching him.

Huo was not surprised that Baron Rosent would attend the wedding, after all, Baron Rosent was largely responsible for arranging the wedding.

As for why Baron Rosent approached him, it wasn't hard for Huo to guess.

They're either trying to get closer to me, or they need something from me.

Huo was not averse to any of these actions, after all, Baron Rosent had genuinely helped the Valentine family.

Chapter 94 Strange Illness

"I wonder if Mr. Huo has any time recently..." Baron Rosent said, glancing around.

Huo immediately understood and followed the other person away from the crowd to a relatively secluded place.

"Tell me, what's the problem?"

"It's like this, the little princess of the Duke of Betmann's family has recently developed a strange illness. Every night she goes into a frenzy uncontrollably, and at the same time, her strength becomes enormous." Without beating around the bush, Baron Rosent directly stated the reason why he had come to find Huo Huan.

"Didn't Duke Whiteman ask anyone else to take a look?" Huo was still a little puzzled. Logically speaking, since he was a duke, there was no reason why he couldn't access supernatural powers.

"Of course we did consult doctors, but several of them were unable to cure the little princess's illness, or even determine the cause of her illness."

"No, I mean, why didn't you invite a superhuman to take a look?" Seeing that Baron Rosent had misunderstood him, Huo quickly interrupted Baron Rosent.

“Mr. Huo is joking. Extraordinary beings are not so easy to encounter,” Rosent explained with a smile.

"Are there very few superhumans?" Huo was still a little surprised. He hadn't been in this world for long, yet he had already encountered necromancers and vampires. It seemed that there must be quite a few superhumans in this world.

“Very rare. If I hadn’t met Mr. Huo, I would have always thought that so-called superhumans were just fictional creations of novelists,” Baron Rosent quickly explained upon seeing that Huo was indeed unaware of the situation.

"Is that so? How about I go with you tomorrow?" After grinding through dungeons for several days in a row, Huo was getting a little tired of it. This trip would be a good opportunity to relax.

"Whenever you have time, sir, it's fine." Baron Rosent was overjoyed to hear that Huo had agreed.

After agreeing on a departure time for the next day, Huo parted ways with Baron Rosenthal and returned to the banquet alone.

As soon as he returned, Huo noticed people pointing and whispering about him.

Huo Huan looked over using his senses and saw two women huddled together, whispering to each other, their eyes occasionally glancing at him.

Seeing that Huo was looking over, she quickly looked away, but continued talking.

Huo listened intently and realized they were discussing the scene of him going out with Baron Rosenthal.

While Hoel is not worth discussing, Baron Rosenthal is.

As the town's mayor, the only nobleman, the factory owner, and the wealthiest man in Rosent, Baron Rosent's every move naturally attracts much attention.

The meaning behind the scene where Huo followed Baron Rosenthal out is not hard to guess for those who are interested.

Huo had some guesses about what the town's residents would do next, but he didn't have any good ideas about how to deal with it.

As for silencing the two women, that was unnecessary. The scene of him following Baron Rosent had probably been noticed by many people, and by now, it had already spread far and wide.

Sure enough, not long after, people began to approach Huo Huan under the guise of a banquet, hoping to find out about his conversation with Baron Rosenthal.

Huo simply laughed it off and didn't reveal any information.

After seeing off several groups of people and even refusing one who came up to introduce his daughter, the wedding banquet was finally coming to an end.

After returning home with Uncle Valentine and the others, a private banquet was about to begin.

As Lawrence's closest brother, Huo was naturally one of the invitees.

Unlike the wedding banquet, this family dinner had only seven people: the bride and groom, their biological parents, and Huo Huan.

Perhaps because of the banquet during the day, which required entertaining guests, they didn't drink much.

In the evening, without outsiders to disturb them, they could drink freely.

The newlyweds were naturally the first to be affected, and Huo was also implicated and drank quite a bit of alcohol.

The private banquet didn't end until midnight.

After helping Aunt Maggie carry the drunken group to bed and politely declining their invitation to stay overnight, Huo turned and left the Valentine family.

It was already late at night, and the streets were deserted.

The moonlight is very bright tonight, and even though it's late at night, ordinary people can still see the scenery on the street.

As Huo strolled along the quiet street and looked up at the bright moon in the sky, a faint melancholy welled up in his heart.

Shaking his head to clear his mind, Huo began to think about the strange illness that Baron Rosent had mentioned.

Going berserk at midnight, his strength greatly increased—could he be a werewolf? Unfortunately, Huo doesn't know much about this world and can't be sure.

However, Huo didn't know yet; it seemed like there was a bat that might know the situation.

Remembering that there was an indigenous person in his exhibition hall, Huo's eyes lit up and he quickly entered the exhibition hall.

Inside the exhibition hall, Huo also waved to summon Leticia.

Although Leticia was a little surprised to be alone today, she still assumed a fighting stance and prepared for her training session.

"There's no need for training today. I summoned you here because I have some questions for you," Huo said, waving his hand to interrupt Leticia's fighting stance.

"What is it?" Leticia asked, somewhat puzzled. Since entering the exhibition hall, apart from a few exchanges on the first day, Huo had only focused on training and hadn't had much interaction with her.

“It’s like this…” Huo hesitated for a moment before recounting all the news he had heard from Baron Rosent that day.

"Midnight madness, power greatly increased..." After hearing this, Leticia fell into deep thought.

"So, is it a werewolf?" Seeing Leticia fall silent, Huo offered his own guess.

"Not necessarily. It could be wolfsbane, but it could be something else. I need to see it for myself to be sure," Leticia shook her head, still unable to reach a conclusion.

"I don't have the ability to summon you outside right now," Ho said casually, pursing his lips, after seeing Leticia spout such nonsense.
