The female knight's ship finally came to a stop somewhere; they hadn't been able to dock for supplies for over a week.
Robert's perception range is so vast on land that it leaves others far behind, but on the open sea, a distance of six kilometers is hardly impressive.
For example, with current tracking technology, even if the distance is more than ten kilometers, you can still see the other party with the naked eye at sea.
The female knight was very cautious, constantly changing her route in order to shake off any possible pursuers.
So it wasn't until they had stopped in one place for more than half an hour that Karina realized the other party might have reached the shore, and she quickly interrupted the two who were teaching.
"Teacher! The other party has been stationary at the same spot for a long time and hasn't moved. I suspect we've reached our destination!"
Even the usually composed Redfield showed a hint of excitement, tossing out a leaf that transformed into a large bird, and glancing at Robert:
"You go and take a look first. I'll be there shortly with Karina and Padon."
Robert didn't stand on ceremony with him, nodded, and vanished in a flash.
First, he leaped to a height of several thousand meters in the air, where the islands on the sea were clearly visible. He quickly locked onto the island where the female knight was landing and arrived in an instant.
The crew members remained where they were, but the female knight had disappeared without a trace. Robert activated his Observation Haki to search the small island and quickly found her trail.
The island is surrounded by towering mountains, and the female knight is making her way through the dense forest, her steps uneven.
Robert didn't want to follow her. Based on her conversation with the bishop, he could tell that the female knight had never been here before, and the crew member who drew the nautical chart could at most record the location of the island, but could not possibly draw the layout of the island.
With his field of vision combined with his Observation Haki, Robert began to sense the island little by little. But after he had explored all the terrain, he couldn't help but wonder if this woman had come to the wrong place.
Apart from a long-abandoned town, the island is mostly forests and mountains, and there is not a trace of Devil Fruits to be found.
Robert hadn't figured anything out by the time Redfield arrived, so he had to go see him first.
"So, did you find anything?"
Robert scoffed, "I only arrived a few minutes early. That woman has been ashore for almost an hour and is still circling in the woods."
Redfield seemed to be in a better mood because his goal had been achieved so quickly, and he even smiled and patiently explained to Robert and Karina.
"The Kingdom of Luoxiuwang has been ruled by a tyrant throughout history. He is immortal, extremely powerful, and incredibly cruel."
"About four hundred years ago, the kingdom's inhabitants could no longer tolerate the brutal rule of this so-called Blood King and paid a heavy price for the intervention of the World Government."
"The World Government coveted this tyrant's immortality and sent two knights from the Order of God to capture him, but one of them was almost killed by him."
"However, in the end, this Crimson King still died, but he committed suicide. It is said that he had mastered a method to be resurrected and regain his peak power."
"The Kingdom of Luoxiuwang is, after all, a member state of the World Government. Although it sent people to execute this tyrant in the name of justice, it could not exterminate his children. Therefore, it took away the descendants of the Crimson Tyrant and settled them in the first half of the Grand Line."
"But the true method of inheritance is actually held by the descendants of the tyrant who left the secret in the Kingdom of Luoxiuwang."
Robert asked cautiously, "Master, how do you know so much? Could it be...?"
Although Redfield couldn't see through Robert's mind, he was old enough to have seen all kinds of people, and he knew exactly what Robert was going to say as soon as he opened his mouth.
"I am not a descendant of that tyrant, but I came into contact with the lineage that was taken away by the World Government in the first half of the Grand Line. The secrets they thought they had were exposed in front of my Observation Haki."
"So, to be honest, apart from not knowing the exact location of this island, I probably know just as much as that stupid woman."
The large bird landed in a grove of trees. Robert was wondering why it landed there when suddenly a swarm of bats flew out of the cave. Robert slapped his forehead. Since there was nothing to be found on the ground, the ruins must be in the cave.
Redfield went into the cave first, followed by Robert, who picked up Padon and took Karina with him.
He thoughtfully took out a light shell to illuminate the cave, which contained a large area of ancient architectural ruins. Redfield frowned; even he was at a loss here.
Robert turned Padon into a pen and tried using the ability of the tanuki for the first time. In the game, Redfield found the vampire fruit by creating Robin and having her solve the clues in the ruins.
But since Redfield hasn't met Robin yet, he'll have to do it himself.
Robin, dressed in a sexy and mature style, was conjured up, and Redfield cast a puzzled look at her.
Robert proudly introduced, "This is an archaeologist I know; there's no ancient script she doesn't recognize."
Redfield nodded, indicating that Robin should lead the way.
Karina repeated Robert's words in a sarcastic tone: "There's no ancient script she doesn't recognize. That's amazing. So you like this kind of mature, sophisticated woman."
Robert laughed and said, "I don't like mature people, I just like good-looking people."
With Robin solving the mystery along the way, the group quickly entered the center of the ruins.
On a magnificent altar, tree roots hanging from the top of a cave are intertwined, their layers of roots resembling an upside-down bat from a distance, while a strangely shaped fruit grows right in the heart of the bat!
Redfield glanced at Robert and said, "Go and get it for me."
Without hesitation, Robert flashed to the altar, plucked the Devil Fruit, and quickly returned to the group.
Redfield stood quietly beside Karina, looking at Robert with a half-smile.
Robert calmly handed over the Devil Fruit, which Redfield gently accepted, smiling as he said:
"This is the Zoan-type Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, which is said to be even more precious than the Logia-type. According to historical records about the Crimson King, the fruit's abilities include miraculous effects such as immortality, rapid healing, and immunity to all poisons."
Karina's eyes lit up: "This is amazing! Teacher, please eat it!"
Redfield's smile froze on his face, because in his perception, Karina's astonishment at the fruit's power was genuine.
And her urging herself to eat the fruit was actually from the bottom of her heart!
Chapter 15 My goal is to tie thighs all over myself, this accessory.
Redfield glanced sideways at Robert: "And what about you, Robert? Wasn't your plan also about this fruit from beginning to end?"
Karina's expression froze, and she looked at Robert. The sea voyage had been so easy and enjoyable that she had even forgotten that Robert had come with ulterior motives from the very beginning.
Robert gave a wry smile: "What are you talking about? I didn't even know about the legend of the Crimson Tyrant before, how could I possibly be interested in this fruit?"
Redfield still didn't believe it: "You don't know? Then where did that nursery rhyme come from?"
Karina was utterly desperate. It turned out that Redfield knew everything. He knew from the very beginning that Robert and she had spread the nursery rhyme!
Robert looked helpless: "I have a grudge against Akainu, so I just made up a nursery rhyme to sow discord between the World Government and him. How was I supposed to know that there really is a Red Emperor in this world?"
Redfield is exceptionally gifted, a genius who naturally awakened Observation Haki, and has been able to see through people's hearts since childhood.
Having witnessed too much darkness and deception, he developed a solitary personality and distrusted everyone.
No matter how Robert explains, he stubbornly believes that Robert is plotting something.
“Master, I admit that I did have some ulterior motives when I first met you, but we didn’t have any feelings for each other back then. I just made the mistake that all pirates make.”
Redfield held the fruit in his hand but wouldn't eat it, trying to provoke Robert into seeing through his true intentions.
"Meet? Do you really think there are such coincidences in this world?"
"It was I who noticed that nursery rhyme and, through mind reading, gradually found the person who originally spread it, namely Karina and your three restaurant-run henchmen."
"So it was me who paid those human traffickers to kidnap two of your men and then staged the encounter on the island. Oh, by the way, Logia-type Devil Fruit abilities aren't that invincible. When I fought you, I pretended to put in a lot of effort to create the illusion that I couldn't do anything to you."
Robert looked like he had just realized something: "I knew it! I've been learning from you these past few days, and I always felt that your strength wasn't that weak. I should have realized that you were holding back back then. How could a man who can rival the entire teams of the other four emperors on his own only have that kind of strength?"
Redfield asked in confusion, "What? Aren't you angry that you've been manipulated like this?"
Robert waved his hands repeatedly: "You were plotting against me without my consent. What can I do about the information gap that's suppressing me? But I haven't lost anything. On the contrary, I've learned so much from you. What do I have to be angry about? You should eat the fruit quickly."
Redfield gritted his teeth and said, "What exactly are you plotting? Did you poison this fruit?"
Robert looked puzzled. This old man was clearly incredibly strong and intelligent, so why was he so mentally ill? He was like a pirate Sima Yi.
“Master, I’ve already eaten a Devil Fruit, and I can’t eat more or take more than my share. You are our master, so the stronger you are, the happier we will be.”
Redfield smiled and nodded: "I almost forgot, you were originally after Karina to obtain this Devil Fruit..."
He glanced sideways at Karina, a pang of sadness rising in his heart, for Karina was currently filled with inner turmoil and looked as if she were about to cry.
Although Redfield couldn't see through Robert's activated Devil Fruit abilities, Karina was completely exposed to his Observation Haki from the very beginning. He could clearly sense that Karina genuinely regarded him as her teacher.
Especially considering the immense temptation of the Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit, Karina's first reaction was still devoid of any greed. This emotion almost shattered the worldview he had built up over decades.
Redfield's voice softened: "Karina, Robert intended for you to eat it from the very beginning, and your contribution to this operation was also significant. In fact, it could be said that without your plan, this fruit would not have been successfully ripened."
"So tell me now, do you want to eat it?"
Karina's eyes were firm: "Master, I'm only twenty years old. I have plenty of opportunities to become stronger in the future, but this kind of fruit that can restore youth may not be found again. You need it more."
Redfield's eyes kept shifting between Robert and Karina, then he suddenly burst into laughter, picked up the Devil Fruit, and took a bite.
A crimson hue appeared in Redfield's eyes. He stood frozen in place, seemingly sensing the power within his body, when suddenly he exploded on the spot, transforming into a sky full of bats and disappearing into the cave.
Karina quickly grabbed Robert and asked, "Where's our teacher? Does he still not forgive us?"
Robert smiled and patted her head: "No, Master just doesn't believe me, because I did initially follow him with the intention of getting this fruit for you, and you have always been sincere to him, which he knows."
Karina hugged Padon tightly: "Then why did he leave us behind and go?"
Robert looked back the way he had come: "He went to pick someone up."
A woman's scream came from the cave, accompanied by the flapping of bat wings; the female knight had been dragged there by Redfield.
When she landed on the ground and saw Redfield's face clearly, she gritted her teeth and exclaimed, "It's you! Blasphemer!"
Robert sneered, "There are only a few of us here, so stop acting. You're a descendant of a bloodthirsty tyrant, and you've never believed in the gods of the Luo Xiuwang Kingdom, have you?"
The female knight looked at Robert, her anger intensifying: "I knew you were in cahoots, you all deserve to die!"
Robert's tone was chilling: "We deserve to die? You, the one who killed your own father, are the one who deserves to die the most!"
The female knight gritted her teeth: "How did you know? Did that old bastard have a backup plan? Is he in cahoots with you?"
This woman is now completely irrational; she is entirely driven by anger.
Robert had no interest in arguing with these kinds of people; they lived in their own world, believing that the whole world should revolve around them, and that no amount of reasoning mattered to them.
“Your father did indeed leave a backup plan, right there on the altar. I think you should go up and take a look.”
Redfield didn't stop her, letting the female knight run up to the altar, and then stare blankly at the words carved in modern script on the stone beside the altar.
The stone bore the old bishop's message, detailing the power of the Mythical Zoan fruit and his hopes that his daughter would escape her family's fate after eating it.
Redfield appeared behind the female knight: "Although he wasn't a good person either, he was completely devoted to you. It's a pity you don't know how to be grateful and only know how to take."
With a bite to the female knight's neck, Redfield's face visibly became younger.
Abandoning the female knight who had become a dried-up corpse, Redfield greedily enjoyed the joy of regaining his youth.
Suddenly, the ground shook violently, and loose rocks fell from the top of the cave.
Robert grabbed Padoon with one hand, turning it into a paintbrush, and quickly began writing on the leaves.
