"I am no longer the person I was when I was unfamiliar with Devil Fruit abilities. If I wanted to escape, I should never have ended up in a situation where I was certain to die!"

"Unless Morgans is trying to sabotage me, what's waiting down there is someone like Kizaru or Im, but his airship is still standing there."

"There's only one possibility!"

"That feeling is wrong!"

Chapter 46 The one with red hair, could it be Kushina Uzumaki?

Robert made a quick decision. Instead of continuing to flee into the distance, he circled around and continued rushing toward the ship on the sea.

The increased agility also greatly improved Robert's reaction speed. From sensing danger, turning to run away, to making a judgment and turning to charge, it all happened in an instant.

As Robert turned and approached the ship, he couldn't help but blurt out a curse:

"Damn, the ship Morgans found for me is the Red Force?!"

In an instant, both the premonition of imminent death and the illusion of having nowhere to hide were explained.

Facing Shanks, one of the Four Emperors, with his top-tier Conqueror's Haki and Observation Haki combined, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to feel any sense of crisis.

Robert's figure appeared on the deck. A tall, fat man gnawing on a steak let out a frustrated roar, then reluctantly pulled an antique gold coin from his pocket and tossed it to the man next to him.

"Hahaha, you've all lost in three seconds!"

A man with his hair slicked back, all smiles, scoured the boat for gambling money, then sat on a wooden barrel and began to rummage around with a grin.

One-armed Shanks looked annoyed: "Kid, how did you even realize that? Aren't you afraid I'll kill you?"

Robert remained composed and dignified: "I believe that apart from Kizaru, no one is faster than me. If I were determined to escape, it would be very difficult for anyone to catch me. However, just now, I started to dodge the moment I sensed danger, and the locations where I appeared were completely random. That sense of imminent danger actually followed me closely."

A curly-haired man who looked a lot like Usopp laughed and said, "I admit, it's impossible to keep up with your speed with the naked eye."

Robert bowed slightly to Jesus: "So there are only two possibilities in this situation. One is that my perception is correct, and the enemy is far stronger than me and is determined to fight me to the death. In this case, since there is no way to escape anyway, I might as well take a gamble and try to take someone down with me even if I die."

Shanks's gloom vanished, replaced by a smile: "What about the other possibility?"

Robert said with certainty, "My senses are malfunctioning. The attack that's locked onto me can't do anything to me. It's just deceiving me, making me think I'm going to die."

Everyone burst into laughter, as if Robert had told a hilarious joke.

Robert laughed along with him, knowing that if Shanks wanted to kill him, he would indeed have a hard time escaping.

No matter how fast he is, his Conqueror's Haki can suppress even Green Bull's Devil Fruit ability, and his Observation Haki can foresee the future several minutes in advance, basically blocking all his escape routes.

“Morgans said you’re going to see Whitebeard, and I happen to be going to see him too, so you can come with me.”

Robert bowed politely. At this stage, he was indeed far below the level of a big shot like Shanks. He wasn't some chosen one of the planes either, and forcing himself to get closer would only make him look foolish.

Red-haired's ship was extremely fast, and Robert was on board, with several powerful auras constantly locking onto him.

The Red-Haired Pirates may seem carefree and irresponsible, but they are actually all shrewd and calculating. Robert, for example, didn't seem to be causing any trouble; he just looked around like a curious child.

He didn't know how far Morgans' airship had flown before catching up with Redhead's ship, nor did he know whose sphere of influence they were currently in.

With Shanks' reputation at their disposal, they were practically untouchable in the New World. Whenever they encountered a ship, they would avoid it from a distance.

Once the novelty wore off, Robert simply found a secluded corner and fell fast asleep.

According to the original storyline, Shanks and Whitebeard's meeting did indeed take place around the time after the Enies Lobby battle. Now that I think about it, Luffy and his crew were probably still waiting for Franky to build a new ship, and they probably hadn't even left Water 7 yet.

Without doing anything unnecessary, Robert spent his time on Shanks' ship eating and sleeping, keeping himself in peak condition.

Even when the Navy fleet came to stop him, Robert didn't lift a finger to gain experience, watching helplessly as the Red-Haired Pirates annihilated the entire fleet with overwhelming force.

Compared to the other Four Emperors, Shanks' thoughts are the most unpredictable.

Big Mom is, in the end, just an old mother who runs her family in a small corner of the world. She talks about becoming the Pirate King, but in reality, she's always fighting on her own little plot of land.

Kaido's unfortunate childhood experiences led him to believe only in his own strength, so his goal is simple: to become the strongest person.

Whitebeard's idea was even simpler: to gather all his sons around him and enjoy his old age like playing house.

To be frank, none of these three were truly determined to find ONE PIECE, but Shanks was different.

He's always acting mysteriously, as if he knows a lot of things, but nobody knows what he's really up to. He's so enigmatic, it's like he's playing a huge game.

Aside from Luffy, who was chosen as his successor, he probably wouldn't even give other young pirates a second glance.

So Robert had no intention of getting close to him; it was more cost-effective to try and win over the simple-minded Whitebeard.

Seeing that Robert really seemed like just a passenger, Shanks looked at Robert with a hint of interest.

Have you ever made a dish that glows?

Ratchet, the cook on Shanks' ship, was taken aback by Robert's question. Robert had been talking to him the most these past two days, constantly asking him cooking-related questions.

"Did you add some weird stuff to the food? I'm warning you, most glowing minerals are poisonous."

Discussions about cooking between the two became a regular occurrence, with many people watching them chat and boast as they cooked.

Yasopp's voice rang out: "The Moby Dick has arrived at the agreed location. Everyone, prepare to engage the ship!"

Robert took off his apron and tasted the soup he had just made. It was a D-rank dish. His Devil Fruit ability was steadily progressing towards the third level of awakening, but his job as a chef was making no progress at all.

"Hey kid, didn't you want to see Whitebeard?"

Robert walked step by step onto the ship's railing: "Are we about to depart?"

Shanks patted the huge gourd beside him: "I have to go talk to Whitebeard about some important things. If things don't break down after we finish talking, I'll introduce you to him. Until then, you can stay on the ship and wait."

Robert magically produced Ace's hat from his spatial dimension and put it on his head:

"I'll go with you. After I finish delivering my message, you probably won't need to say what you're going to say."

Chapter 47 Ethical Jokes: We guys in the dorm are experts at it.

Upon seeing the hat Robert pulled out, even Shanks, who was used to all sorts of things, couldn't help but have his pupils tremble.

Morgans only asked him to take someone to see Whitebeard, but he didn't tell him what this person wanted to talk to Whitebeard about.

Although Robert demonstrated the power of the Rumble-Rumble Fruit, Shanks and his crew did not regard him as anything special.

It wasn't until Shanks saw Ace's hat that he suddenly realized that Robert's visit to see Whitebeard was also for Ace's sake!

"If you've made your decision, then come along yourself. I won't make an exception for you."

Shanks stood by the ship, carrying a gourd taller than a man, with Robert silently following behind him.

Even if he couldn't withstand Shanks' Conqueror's Haki at all, Robert was prepared to risk embarrassment and give it a try.

After all, experiencing the feeling of being suppressed by top-tier Conqueror's Haki in such a safe environment is better than being caught off guard when facing some irreconcilable enemy later on.

The massive Moby Dick and the Red Force approached each other and eventually came to a stop side by side.

Without saying a word, Shanks lightly leaped aboard the Moby Dick.

Robert vanished in a flash of lightning, only to reappear behind Shanks a second later.

The moment Robert boarded the Moby Dick, his legs went weak and he almost fell off the ship's side.

The heart rate suddenly spikes, followed by tinnitus, dizziness, and other reactions.

The surrounding air seemed to freeze, and a tremendous pressure slammed down on him.

Robert's body almost instinctively wanted to become elemental, but he managed to suppress it.

Shanks walked step by step toward the center of the Moby Dick's deck, and Robert looked at his back as if he were looking at a mountain.

Every cell in my body seemed to be conveying that the person in front of me was insurmountable, a king to be worshipped. This sense of oppression made it difficult to breathe, almost leading to oxygen deprivation.

This was the first time he had been completely suppressed by Conqueror's Haki. Ace had released Conqueror's Haki before, but compared to Shanks's, it was like the difference between a kindergarten child going to the toilet and the Three Gorges Dam releasing floodwaters.

Shanks glanced at Robert out of the corner of his eye, noticing that although Robert hadn't fainted, he was standing stiffly in place. Shanks chuckled, then ignored him and continued walking forward.

That laugh was like a heavy hammer blow to Robert's heart, and in an instant, humiliation and anger surged through his body like a raging fire.

"What kind of domineering attitude is this? It's just imposing your own ambitions on others. People in the pirate world live in the old era, while I grew up in the spring breeze!"

In an instant, the shackles around him shattered, and Robert felt as if he had been freed from his cage. Although he couldn't say he was as light as a swallow, at least he wasn't so oppressed that he was almost fainting.

Robert quickened his pace and followed Shanks. Shanks paused for a moment, but did not turn around.

On the massive deck of the Moby Dick, pirates were stunned by Shanks's Haki. Robert followed behind Shanks and walked straight up to Whitebeard.

Before Shanks and Whitebeard could speak, a sharp-eyed veteran pirate suddenly exclaimed, "That's Ace's hat!"

Whitebeard frowned, his gaze sweeping past Shanks and landing on Robert behind him with hostility.

The moment those eyes locked onto him, Robert felt as if he had fallen into an ice cave, a sense of impending death even stronger than when he faced Shanks's domineering aura.

Whitebeard's domineering aura gives people a different feeling; it's a feeling of "I will protect everything, and anyone who stands in my way will die."

He had no doubt that if he didn't give a reasonable explanation, Whitebeard would definitely kill him on the spot, even if he was brought by Shanks.

Shanks sighed: "This is someone I brought along on my way at the request of a friend. He said he had important news to tell you. I didn't know the message he was going to deliver was related to Ace until I boarded the ship."

Robert stepped forward despite the pressure, took off Ace's hat and held it in his hand: "My name is Robert D. Neru. I haven't known Ace for long, but in order to allow me to escape, he took the initiative to fight Blackbeard Teach despite being injured. Now I'm afraid he has been handed over to the Navy by Blackbeard, so I came here to deliver the message!"

The entire Moby Dick fell silent instantly, and everyone's eyes were fixed on Whitebeard.

Shanks' brows furrowed tightly. He had come to persuade Whitebeard to recall Ace, but he hadn't expected that Ace had already fallen into the hands of the Marines.

Whitebeard withdrew his killing intent towards Robert and said casually, "Ace might not necessarily lose to Teach, right? How can you be so sure he's been defeated and handed over to the Marines? Are you perhaps one of the Marines?"

Robert pulled out a bounty poster: "Ace and I fought side by side on Enies Lobby, risking our lives to escape from Admiral Aokiji. Ace was already in very bad shape at the time, and Blackbeard was waiting in ambush. Ace was probably in grave danger."

"As for how I knew he would be handed over to the Navy, it's because I escaped from Blackbeard. He's chasing after pirates worth over 100 million, trying to trade with the Navy for a Shichibukai position. There's no reason why Ace wouldn't be handed over to the Navy after falling into his hands."

Robert wasn't surprised to see that Whitebeard still looked disbelieving. He hadn't expected to gain anyone's trust with just a few words; he had only sent the message to get a better reputation within the Whitebeard Pirates.

During the Marineford War, both the Whitebeard Pirates and the Navy were fighting each other to the death. If I didn't make my stance clear to the Whitebeard Pirates beforehand, I would be attacked from both sides as soon as I showed up.

"I'm here today simply to deliver the news of Ace's capture as soon as possible, so that you all don't have to follow the Navy's lead. Whether you believe me or not is none of my business, because I will use my own methods to rescue Ace!"

Shanks sighed deeply: "I came here this time to persuade you to recall Ace and stop him from continuing to pursue Teach. That man is too dangerous. Now is not the time to let this world go crazy."

Since Robert spoke first, Whitebeard had no chance to dismiss his men. Now everyone was looking intently at Whitebeard, waiting for him to make a decision.

Whitebeard looked at Shanks: "If what this kid says is true, and Ace has been captured by the Marines, what would you do, Shanks? Do you know how sensitive Ace's identity is!"

Marco couldn't help but ask, "Dad, what's Ace's background? Didn't he say he was an orphan raised by a female bandit since he was a child?"

Shanks glanced at Whitebeard: "Can I say?"
