There wasn't a single light in the room, so it seemed that George Stacy was indeed working overtime at the police station and hadn't gone home.

The car slowly came to a stop, but Gwen did not open the door and get out, nor did Holm urge her.

The orange streetlights flickered, providing a dim light. The streetlight next to me seemed to have a problem, sometimes turning on and sometimes not.

Finally, the flickering streetlights went out, and the only source of light in the area disappeared.

Looking at the dim surroundings, Holm raised his hand to turn on the car lights.

But just as he made a move, Gwen suddenly hugged him.

Gwen's unique fragrance wafted over, and his hair brushed against Holm's face, making Holm feel a little itchy.

"Don't turn on the light, hold me," Gwen whispered, burying her head in Holm's chest.

Hearing her words, Holm's stiff arms moved, encircling her body and holding her tightly.

“I don’t want to go home,” Gwen said softly, looking up at Holm with her large, bright blue eyes.

Upon hearing this, Holm gently patted her shoulder and said, "Then don't go back, I'll stay with you."

"Will you always stay with me?" Gwen looked at him, her voice filled with a mixture of doubt and expectation.

"I will always be with you," Holm said without hesitation, his voice soft but firm.

Upon hearing Holm's promise, Gwen's lips curled into a sweet smile.

She stroked Holm's face, and then kissed his lips, exchanging sweet breaths.

A moment later, Gwen pursed her lips, her cheeks flushed, and blinked her large, shimmering eyes as she looked at Holm and said softly, "Take me to your house. I want to be with you tonight."

A few seconds later, with a roar, Holm drove his car off like an arrow.

In less than 10 minutes, he had driven back to his building, then held Gwen in his arms, feeling her warm breath against his chest.

The lights in the room were turned on and off repeatedly, and the tightly closed curtains blocked any light exchange between the inside and outside. Only suppressed breaths echoed in the room.

In the last few days, Holm spent his time with Gwen and Daisy. They were both aware of each other's existence, but they tacitly refrained from mentioning it.

However, sometimes the two of them would compete with each other on Holm. For example, if Daisy left a few hickeys on Holm's chest one day, Gwen would suck a "necklace" out of Holm's neck the next day.

Holm was well aware of their rivalry, but he didn't interfere much, since he was the one enjoying it.

However, his stamina seemed a bit too good, and even Gwen sometimes couldn't keep up. Whenever this happened, Holm would think that it would be great if they could put the two of them together so that they could take turns resting.

Thinking of this, Holm suddenly remembered Natasha, that troublesome vixen. She had contacted him several times recently, but he had been too busy to answer.

If even two people can't take turns resting, then three wouldn't be a bad option.

However, this is something you can only think about in your head; it's probably impossible in reality.

On the morning of his last day, after saying goodbye to Gwen and giving her a good morning kiss, Homer prepared to head to Rumlow to find William Baker.

Today is the last day he's given them; they don't have much time left to practice, and they need to start the plan now.

Inside the room, William Baker had already started planning for the day, so he was somewhat absent-minded all morning. He even tied Katie's hair crookedly, which earned him several sarcastic remarks from Rumlow.

Katie, the little angel, noticed William Baker's absent-mindedness, so she hugged him and kissed his cheek before he went to school, bringing him a touch of warmth.

"I'm going to work. Remember not to do anything funny. I'm taking Kelly out tonight," Rum Lolo reminded him as he left.

After Rumlow finished speaking, he waited for William Baker's reply, but even after he reached the door, William Baker remained silent.

"What are you doing? Why aren't you saying anything?" Rumlow asked, looking at him with great confusion.

Upon hearing Rumlow's question, William Baker paused for a moment before replying, "I'm about to go on a mission and don't know when I'll be back. Remember to take good care of Katie."

"What? A mission?" Rumlow was also puzzled when he heard William Baker's words.

However, he quickly realized that the so-called mission was a secret that Holm had given to William Baker.

Thinking of this, he put aside his disdain for William Baker for the first time, patted him on the shoulder and said, "I will take good care of Katie, so you can focus on completing the mission."

“Take good care of her. If she asks, just say I’ve gone to work and will be back soon,” William Beckler instructed Rumlow.

Chapter 201, Return to Sokovia.

By the time William Baker watched Rum Road's retreating figure go downstairs and then turned around, Holm had already quietly entered the living room.

His sudden appearance startled even the tough, straight William Baker, who almost lost his composure.

"Everything should be ready by now. We don't have much time left, let's set off now," Holm asked William Baker.

“There are no problems now.” William Baker said as he began to change his appearance.

As the sandstorm swept through, he instantly transformed from his disguise into the new Baron Strucker, even his demeanor becoming completely different.

Watching his demonstration, Holm nodded in satisfaction and said, "Very good, your transformation is perfect, even I can't see any flaws."

"We'll continue to refine any minor issues that may still exist once we get there."

After saying that, Holm took William Baker away and drove around the city, changing cars several times.

After the last car was changed, they immediately drove to the airport.

During the journey, William Baker also changed his appearance according to the new passport Holm gave him, while Holm, using Venom and his superb makeup skills, instantly transformed into another person.

By noon, the two of them had boarded a plane bound for Sokovia, watching the familiar city of New York grow ever more distant.

Looking out the window at the city now shrouded in clouds, William Baker suddenly murmured with a sense of loss, "Can...can I ever come back?"

Upon hearing his question, Holm pondered for a moment, then nodded and said, "You will come back, and if everything goes well, it won't be long."

Holm's answer also revitalized William Baker's spirits.

Since Holm said he could come back later, then he definitely could, because given their current relationship, Holm had no reason to lie to him about this.

If they really don't want him to come back, there's nothing he can do no matter how unwilling he is, since his life is now completely in Holm's hands.

After the brief conversation ended, there was a long silence. William Baker did not raise any further questions, and Holm did not say anything more.

It wasn't until the plane landed and Holm drove him towards a secluded forest that Holm broke the silence and spoke to him, "Can you guess why I brought you here?"

Upon hearing Holm's question, William Baker pondered for a moment before replying, "It should be that I'm to impersonate the person in the information you gave me."

“That’s right, that’s the main task.” Holm nodded, then continued to explain the details: “He is the leader of the Sokovia Hydra branch. Your main task is to impersonate him, take control of the situation here, and eliminate any dissenting voices.”

"Hydra? What kind of organization is that?" William Baker was a little confused.

"This was Captain America's main enemy during World War II, and also the supporting force behind the Nazis..." Holm explained to William Baker.

To make it clearer to him, he then explained the relationship between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra, as well as the distribution of Hydra's influence.

After hearing what he said, William Baker realized that Holm was essentially a Hydra agent, not a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.

Holm, of course, knew that William Baker had figured it out, so he smiled and said, "Are you thinking that I used to be a Hydra agent?"

“Uh, yes, I always thought you were a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, but with other purposes,” William Baker said.

Listening to William Baker's words, Holm continued, "I am indeed an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., and also an agent of Hydra, but you should now know that I hold myself to a higher standard."

"I don't want to be just a secret agent. I want to control Hydra, then S.H.I.E.L.D., and become the leader of both organizations."

"Only by taking control of these two organizations can I truly step out of the chessboard and become someone who manipulates the pieces and uses his own ideas on the big chessboard of the world."

William Baker knew that Holm had his own agenda, but he didn't expect it to be this big.

Through the explanation just given, he now knows just how enormous S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra are.

With the backing of the US government, S.H.I.E.L.D. has become a special violent institution, an extremely dangerous behemoth.

Hydra is even more terrifying than S.H.I.E.L.D. It hides in the shadow of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the US government, and has extended its tentacles to the entire world.

If Holm were to control both of these organizations, he would essentially dictate the world's格局 (geju, a concept encompassing overall structure, overall situation, and overall dynamics), and he could manipulate the entire Earth.

"How about it? Doesn't it get your blood pumping and get you excited just thinking about it?" Holm said, looking at William Baker, who was deep in thought.

“It must be difficult to actually do all that,” William Baker remarked.

"It's not exactly easy, but it's not that difficult either," Holm said with a smile. "This is the first step of the plan, and also the most important one."

"The Sokovia branch is the most influential Hydra branch besides the United States. If I can control this branch, I will have already gained half of Hydra's power."

"As for the other half, I will slowly steal it in the next plan. If the plan goes smoothly, the whole process will not take long."

After saying that, Holm looked at William Baker: "So now you know how important your role is?"

"If you don't do a good job here, then all my subsequent plans will be stillborn."

“I will definitely do well,” William Baker said with a resolute look on his face.

Hearing his promise, Holm smiled and said, "I believe in your abilities. The sooner you stabilize and take control of the situation here, the sooner you can go back."

"Of course, if you need anything along the way, I can have Rumlow bring Katie here to see you."

“No, don’t let her come here. It’s not safe here, it’s too dangerous.” William Baker shook his head as soon as Holm finished speaking.

For an ordinary person like Katie, Sokvia is still too dangerous. Even with Rumlow's protection, it can't be said that there is 100% no risk.

If anything were to happen to Katie because of his visit to him, he really wouldn't be able to live anymore.

One experience of life and death is enough; even someone made of iron couldn't withstand another.

Chapter 202, Werner Strucker

In the tranquil forest, the greyish-white castle still stands. Wolfgang Strucker is dead, and now his son, Werner Strucker, nominally controls the place.

In the castle's underground space, Werner Strucker sat on the sofa where his father used to sit, his young face filled with suppressed anger.

He ripped off his monocle and threw it on the table, suppressing his anger, and said to Dr. Lister beside him, "Those damned bastards! They just want me to be a docile mascot! Who is the real Baron Strucker here? Who is the leader here?!"

"I didn't want to get involved in this stuff, but they insisted on bringing me here! Their ingratiating attitude at first is matched by their arrogant attitude now!..."

They were living their ordinary lives, but Wolfgang's former subordinates insisted on bringing him here and making him the new Baron Strucker.

Power is more addictive than drugs. Werner, who originally had no ambition, began to develop his own ambitions after taking over this huge undertaking.

As Baron Strucker, he wanted to carry on his father's legacy and achieve great things, as all Barons Strucker had done so, and he wanted to be on par with them, or even better than them.

Werner had his own ideas about the Strucker name, and wanting to revive the family's reputation was a good thing.

But to Wolfgang's former underlings, what was Werner? If Sokvia hadn't needed the title of Baron Strucker, why would they have brought in this clueless young man and promoted him to the position?

They brought Werner in and made him Baron Strucker to appease everyone; his main role was to sit there obediently and listen to them, acting as a quiet mascot.
