The energy gate lasted only a few seconds before it roared again, turning into blue energy radiance that dissipated outwards.
Unlike the surging energy tide just now, the blue energy radiance was like a gust of wind, causing everyone around to involuntarily squint.
When they opened their eyes again and looked in that direction, they found a strangely shaped man squatting on the ground.
The man was dressed in a retro and gorgeous green robe and held a jeweled scepter in his hand. The jewel emitted a soft yet dazzling blue light and looked very similar to a Tesseract.
Upon witnessing this, Agent Hill immediately raised his gun and aimed it at the strange man.
At the same time, the man slowly stood up, revealing a handsome yet effeminate face.
If Thor, the god of thunder who caused quite a stir in the west and whom Nick Fury has always viewed as a threat, were here, he would recognize the handsome, effeminate-looking man standing here as his supposedly dead brother—Loki, the god of lies and trickery.
Loki looked around, slightly out of breath, a hint of excitement hidden in his eyes. His forehead was covered in beads of sweat, as if this teleportation journey had not been easy.
Seeing Loki stand up, Agent Hill shouted at him, "Hands up and don't move!"
Hearing Agent Hill's shout, Loki also slightly raised his hand, looking thoughtfully at the scepter in his hand.
While everyone was on high alert, Loki suddenly moved. He brandished his scepter and shot a beam of blue light towards the center.
Faced with the sudden attack, Holm was neither surprised nor afraid; he simply raised his hand and transformed his left hand into a black shield.
The blue light vanished quickly after hitting the black shield, without causing any damage to Holm.
The moment Loki made his move, Agent Hill immediately pulled the trigger, unleashing a hail of bullets into Loki's body.
However, the bullets did not have the expected effect when they hit Loki; instead, they made clanging sounds before falling to the ground.
Seeing that his usually effective pistol had no effect, Agent Hill was at a loss and could only continue firing while saying to Holm, "This guy is no ordinary person!"
"Of course I'm not an ordinary person! I'm a god! A foolish and fragile human!" Loki looked at Agent Hill, who had a serious and tense expression, and smiled proudly.
After saying that, he looked at Holm and the giant shield in Holm's hand that was gradually disappearing, and said with great interest, "You seem to be different from them. Why don't you become my servant? I will take you to experience a different world."
"Ha! Are you out of your mind? Does the Tesseract have such side effects when it's being teleported?" Holm was speechless when he heard Loki's offer to recruit him.
"Let's just eat this guy's head. It smells sweeter than a normal human's," Venom said in Holm's mind, drooling as he sucked on his food.
For the symbiote, the human head is the sweetest food. Although the Asgardians call themselves gods, they are nothing more than advanced humans.
Holm's words immediately froze Loki's smile. He looked coldly at Holm, who didn't take him seriously at all, and raised his hand to shoot out an even larger blue beam of light.
Faced with an attack that was far more powerful than before, Holm remained unmoved. He transformed his hands into giant blades and cleaved the attack into several pieces, forcibly dissipating them in mid-air.
"Loki, Asgardian, son of Odin, I am now arresting you for illegally entering Earth and attempting to attack humans," Holm said coldly, looking at Loki.
"Hahaha! That's hilarious! Humans, who are as insignificant as ants, actually dare to arrest a god? Do you even have the ability? I can kill you with just a flick of my wrist. What are you going to do with that..." Loki mocked Holm's words arrogantly.
But before he could finish speaking, Holm stomped the ground and charged straight at him, punching him in the stomach, forcing him to swallow the rest of his words.
"boom!"
Loki was punched off the platform by Holm, flying backward and smashing through the wall behind the laboratory.
“To me, you self-proclaimed god are more laughable than many humans.” Holm said as he walked to Loki’s side, his eyes cold as he looked down at him.
Chapter 296, Magic Immunity
With a muffled thud, Loki's figure on the ground suddenly turned into a cloud of dark green smoke.
Immediately afterwards, the cloud of dark green smoke spread rapidly, threatening to fill the entire laboratory area.
"You two evacuate first and stay upstairs to maintain order. I'll handle things here." Holm said to Agent Hill and Dr. Sevier as he watched the dark green smoke begin to spread.
Agent Hill knew that the two of them couldn't be of much help, so he nodded and quickly left as instructed by Holm.
Loki, hidden in the spreading dark green smoke, looked at Holm not far away and revealed a cunning smile.
But before he could figure out how to ambush Holm, Holm's figure flickered and disappeared from his sight.
"I can tell you're happy, can't I?" A hoarse voice suddenly rang out from behind Loki, freezing his smile on his face and sending chills down his spine.
When?! Why didn't he feel anything?!
"boom!"
A surge of dark green magical energy instantly emanated from Loki, simultaneously deflecting the sharp blade that had just pierced his back.
The next moment, Loki was at the other end of the laboratory, facing the corner where he had just stood, calming his breathing.
He felt the small wound on his back healing. Although the injury was not serious, it sent him an extremely dangerous signal.
The fact that the Frost Giants could become bitter enemies with Asgard for many years speaks volumes about their combat prowess.
So although Loki was very reluctant to admit his identity as a Frost Giant, this race naturally gave him many advantages, such as strength, physical attributes, and so on.
Loki felt he might have underestimated this seemingly ordinary human. He had originally thought that there couldn't possibly be anyone too powerful in an environment like Earth. No matter how powerful someone was, they were at most just a slightly larger ant, and couldn't compare to a god like him.
But the silent approach from behind and the fatal blow to his back were both sending him a dangerous signal: his opponent was very strong, and he could really die if he wasn't serious.
"Your skill at dodging and escaping is quite impressive," Holm said, looking at Loki, who had suddenly appeared on the other side, looking serious and wary.
He was already very fast; if Loki hadn't reacted in time, he would have pierced Loki's heart.
As Holm spoke, several sharp tentacles extended from behind him, writhing and moving in the air like snakes.
"I admit I underestimated you a bit. You are indeed qualified to be my opponent, and you are different from the weak Earthlings." Loki raised his head slightly, and although he had just been at a disadvantage, he still spoke with pride.
"I acknowledge your strength. Would you like to rule the entire Earth with me? I can make you a king just like me, and you can choose the place you want to begin your reign."
Since Holm is powerful and not easy to develop into a servant, we should take a step back, stabilize the other party and reach a consensus, and try to persuade the other party to join our ranks through cooperation.
Hearing Loki's words and seeing his proud yet unusually solemn expression, Holm was somewhat surprised and shook his head again.
"Sorry, although this world is indeed terrible, I don't think it would be any better if you ruled the entire earth."
"I have a lot of things to take care of, and I don't have time to play this kind of childish game with you."
Hearing Holm's words, Loki frowned and said contemptuously, "What foolish and blind Earthlings! How dare you mock God? Who gave you the courage?"
In response to Loki's curses, Holm simply raised his hand, letting the venom envelop it in a black battle blade, and said, "You'll find out soon enough."
As he spoke, Holm's figure moved, his speed still very fast, rushing straight towards Loki like a black lightning bolt.
"Bang!" Loki used the same trick again, his figure turning into a cloud of green mist and disappearing from the spot.
Inside the room, a black figure moved with incredible speed, constantly moving along with the green mist.
They fought fiercely in the confined space until many of the instruments in the laboratory were broken. Then, the black figure seized the opportunity and kicked the green smoke out.
Loki rolled on the ground a couple of times in a disheveled manner, then quickly stood up, his eyes fixed on the composed Holm in front of him.
"Now you know where my confidence comes from," Holm said softly.
As he finished speaking, countless sharp black tentacles emerged from the ground, stabbing straight at Loki above.
Upon seeing this, Loki immediately swung his scepter and unleashed a burst of energy at the black tentacles below.
Then, using the recoil from the energy cannon explosion, he jumped to the second floor not far behind and stood there.
As Loki's thoughts stirred, countless Lokis appeared simultaneously on the surrounding stairs and the experimental field below, each holding a scepter. They all raised their scepters and focused their energy cannons at Holm in the center.
"The tricks have improved, but they're useless against me," Holm said softly, before charging directly at a figure.
Loki's magic is very deceptive to ordinary people because they can't distinguish between the real and the illusion.
However, this only applies to those who use their eyes to observe. Holm never relied solely on his eyes to observe his enemies; more often, he relied on his venom and his senses.
"That's the figure! This is his true form! Let's leave this magic kid with some unforgettable memories. I can't wait to see the astonished look on his face. Just thinking about it is so interesting!" Venom shouted excitedly in Holm's mind.
Loki is very different from his usual opponents, so Venom finds him very interesting.
Just like collecting stamps, encountering a different type of opponent makes it very much looking forward to it.
"Bang!" To Loki's astonishment and disbelief, Holm, with a cold smile, rushed up to him, grabbed his neck, and then pinched his face, shoving him down the stairs.
The metal staircase shattered instantly under the impact of this enormous force. Loki was also crushed by Holm, and several floors of the staircase were completely smashed before he was embedded in the ground below.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Holm lifted Loki up again and again, then slammed him back into the ground.
Loki's luxurious clothes were now covered in dust, and his meticulously styled hair was disheveled.
Chapter 297, God of Deception
This method of attack deeply humiliated Loki. His face contorted in rage, his eyes filled with contempt and fury as he gritted his teeth and roared, "You! How dare you attack a god..."
"boom!"
Before he could finish speaking, Holm shoved him into the ground again.
"What did you say? Why didn't you speak louder? I didn't hear you," Holm said with a sneer.
"Enough!" With Loki's roar, an extremely dense green energy once again surged from his body.
Suddenly, the green energy exploded with tremendous force, pushing Holm away and separating him from Loki.
Loki finally broke free from Holm's control. He squatted down in front of the dilapidated stairs, panting heavily, his face covered in sweat.
That last move used up most of his magic and physical strength, which was a huge drain on him.
"You! How could you be completely unharmed!" Seeing that Holm had only been pushed away from there, without any signs of injury or even discomfort, Loki felt that his worldview had been challenged.
His attack was not only impressive in appearance, but also contained considerable power. Even his reckless brother Thor would not have an easy time facing this attack, but Holm in front of him seemed to be completely unaffected.
Seeing Loki's bewildered expression, Holm was also somewhat confused until Venom told him in his mind that symbiotes are naturally immune to magic. Only then did he understand why Loki was so devastated.
"How could this be? How could there be someone who is immune to magic?!" Loki's mind was filled with questions.
He learned magic from his adoptive mother, Frigga, Odin's wife. Although Frigga's combat abilities were not as strong as Odin's, her magic was not to be underestimated.
Loki wasn't as physically imposing as Thor, but he was very talented in magic, making him a powerful sorcerer.
When a powerful magician encounters an opponent immune to magic, he will, like Loki now, question the meaning of life.
Loki's performance greatly pleased Venom, which was now laughing wildly in Holm's consciousness: "How could a weak fellow who calls himself a god possibly understand the power of a noble symbiote!"
"It looks like we're going to crush this magic kid, hahaha!"
After he finished speaking, the venom spread across Holm's body, enveloping his entire body in a viscous venom, revealing a rare and ferocious yet powerful full form.
Countless tentacles shot towards Loki, like thorns that suddenly accelerated their growth, wrapping around him from all directions.
