To escape the Death Eaters, Su Yu fled from England to the United States more than ten years ago, where he made a name for himself thanks to his talent in alchemy.

He thought his life would be just an ordinary one as an alchemist, but a letter of offer from Hogwarts shattered his peaceful existence.

Along with the letter came a system, but something was amiss. Why did the system insist that what I had was a teaching appointment letter was an acceptance letter?

Chapter 1 Feathered Chicken Item Modification Shop

In mid-July 1991, late at night, in a not-so-quite-quiet alley in New York City, there was a strange shop.

A dozen or so motorcycles and cars of various models were parked in front of the shop, their style somewhat out of place with the surrounding environment. A sign hung above the store that read: "Feiyu Ma Chicken Item Modification Shop".

If all of the above are still acceptable, then the two-meter-long pure black jaguar lying on one of the vehicles is a bit frightening.

Strangely, passersby ignored the huge feline, as if the strange shop didn't exist.

The shop owner, Su Yu, a Chinese male, was busy tinkering with a brand-new Kawasaki ZXR250.

Su Yu is about 1.85 meters tall, with slightly darker skin than the average Chinese person. His hair is a bit messy, and he is wearing a repairman's suit and a pair of sporty glasses. He is quite handsome.

Suddenly, a loud cracking sound came from the shop entrance. Su Yu and the dozing jaguar simultaneously raised their heads and looked in the direction of the sound.

Most people, upon hearing such a sound, might assume that some local guy was offering freebies again, but Su Yu knew that it was caused by an immature Apparition.

Sure enough, a blond white boy of about seventeen or eighteen years old appeared at the store entrance. He seemed a little dizzy, swayed on the spot, and staggered several steps before finally regaining his balance.

"Hey, Uncle Su, is my broom modified yet?" The boy, having recovered from his daze, called out excitedly into the shop.

Upon seeing the boy's face, the jaguar immediately lost interest, buried its head in its paws, and fell fast asleep.

Su Yu put down his work and came out of the shop. He looked around and was relieved to see that the passing chickens were not attracted by the loud noise.

Then, he said irritably, "Stuart, hasn't anyone told you that students your age can't use Apparition off-campus?"

"Uncle Su, don't be like that. I only learned this magic last semester. It's really so useful. I want to use it even when I go out to buy groceries!" the boy named Stewart said nonchalantly.

"Is that so? When the Aurors of the Magic Council have their eyes on you and find the records of your spellcasting through the threads, I hope you'll still be this calm," Su Yu continued to berate.

Stuart shrugged: "I didn't use my own wand, it's my dad's!"

As he spoke, Stuart proudly waved his wand, as if he had done something very glorious.

Su Yu was utterly speechless. Old Stuart was the head of the Magical Congress of the United States, the Division of Magical Law Enforcement. If the Aurors traced it back to their own boss, then…

He was too lazy to waste any more words with the child in front of him, so he waved his hand and said, "Flying broom, come here!"

With a whoosh, a flying broom flew out of the store and landed in Su Yu's hand!

"Spellcasting without a staff! Uncle Su, that was so cool!" Stuart exclaimed.

This wasn't some kind of staffless spellcasting, but Su Yu didn't explain. He tossed the flying broom to him and said, "It's already been modified. You can try it yourself."

Stewart took the broom, a brand new Nimbus 2000. The broom was not much different from when he brought it over, except that there was an extra knob at the top of the broom handle.

"How do I use this?" Stuart asked.

"Enter your magic power, turn the knob to the right, and imagine the effect you want!" Su Yu explained simply.

Stewart mounted the broom, levitating himself in the air. He then turned a knob, and the broom lit up with colorful lights, projecting an animated image of a thunderbird in flight onto the ground.

"Wow! That's so cool! But how do I play music?" Stuart was excited as he looked at the dazzling colored lights, and then asked another question.

“Just use your brain to think. I’ve already added all the songs you gave me to the playlist!” Su Yu replied.

No sooner had he finished speaking than rousing music blared from Stewart's broom in the sky—Michael Jackson's "Beat It."

"Whoosh! That's awesome, Uncle Su, you're really amazing! With this broom, I'm sure I'll be the coolest kid in Ilfamoni at next year's Quidditch Academy Cup!" As he spoke, Stewart had already taken off into the sky on his new flying broom.

After playing for about fifteen minutes, Stuart returned to Su Yu's shop, still wanting more. He placed thirteen Galleons on the counter and said:

"Uncle Su, here's the final payment! Your skills are absolutely the best in the entire United States!"

Su Yu put away the gold galleons, not taking the child's praise to heart. It was just a will-o'-the-wisp flying broom, nothing compared to the other things in his shop.

Although it was a customer request, Su Yu still kindly reminded him, "Stuart, you'd better ask your dean before using this broom in the competition, lest he ban you from all competitions for the entire year."

"Don't worry, Uncle Su, if I can show off my new broom in front of the whole school, I'll accept being banned!" Stewart continued with a smile, completely unfazed.

It's hard to reason with a devil who's determined to die. Since this kid is so reckless, Su Yu can only wish him good luck.

At that moment, Stewart also spotted the Kawasaki ZXR250 in the shop. Immediately drawn to its streamlined appearance and striking color scheme, he ran over and asked in surprise:

"Mr. Su, is this a newly arrived item? What are its features?"

At this moment, the black jaguar lying on the car seemed to sense something. It raised its head and cautiously looked at Stewart.

"Are you thinking that if you kill me, you can take this car for yourself?" Su Yu asked with a smile.

"Ah...you...how did you know?" Stewart was extremely embarrassed when his thoughts were exposed.

Su Yu pointed to the black jaguar and said, "Her name is Coal Ball, a cat-leopard, a magical animal born with the ability to manipulate thoughts. It knows your thoughts, so never have any dangerous ideas in front of it, or it will kill you."

Stuart certainly knew about the leopard cat, after all, one of the schools at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry had the leopard cat as its totem.

Upon learning that the black jaguar in front of him was a cat-leopard, Stewart became noticeably more reserved. He thanked Su Yu again and quickly left.

Watching the child disappear again with a snap using Apparition, Su Yu couldn't help but shake his head. Just as he was about to return to the shop to continue his modifications, a flapping sound of wings rang out, and an owl landed on the shop's signboard.

Chapter 2 The Invitation to Hogwarts

On Su Yu's workbench was a letter with a large "H" on the red wax seal. The envelope also had a badge with four animals on it: a badger, a lion, a snake, and an eagle.

Seeing this symbol brought back some unpleasant memories for Su Yu.

Su Yu is actually a time traveler who came to the magical world of Harry Potter more than 30 years ago and even became classmates with Harry Potter's father, James Potter.

At the beginning, Su Yu awakened his magic, entered Hogwarts, and was assigned to Ravenclaw, a house known for its intellectual prowess.

So Su Yu became arrogant, thinking that he was a time traveler, destined by fate, and would definitely be able to turn the tide, defeat Voldemort, and become a new generation of legendary wizard.

Unfortunately, in his later studies, apart from alchemy, his other magical talents were only mediocre.

However, Su Yu did not give up on himself. He understood how dangerous this world was, so he used his talent in alchemy and combined it with the scientific knowledge he had learned in his previous life to create a lot of alchemical gadgets.

After graduation, Su Yu earned some money with these inventions and gained a certain reputation in the British wizarding community.

However, this period of peace was short-lived. The Second Wizarding War broke out. Su Yu originally thought that with his abilities, as long as he did not provoke the mysterious person, he could remain unscathed.

For a period of time afterward, Su Yu attracted the attention of the Black Demon King, but he did not panic. Whether selling items or purchasing raw materials, he almost never appeared in people's sight, believing that he was hiding very well.

However, he underestimated the Death Eaters and the Dark Lord. His hiding place was found, and he fought desperately to save his life. Like a stray dog, he fled to America, and twelve years have passed in the blink of an eye.

After hesitating for a long time, Su Yu finally opened the letter. It was written in an ancient yet elegant handwriting:

Dear Su Yu, it's so good to hear from you again. I was really worried when you suddenly disappeared from the British magical world back then.

Fortunately, you're doing quite well, and you've become an excellent Muggle artifacts expert, even forging a strategic partnership with the Magical Congress of the United States.

Coincidentally, Hogwarts is currently short of a Muggle Studies professor, and if you would like, we hope you can return to the school to take on that role.

The signature is naturally that of Albus Dumbledore, the current headmaster of Hogwarts and the greatest white wizard of this century.

As he read the letter, Su Yu recalled some Harry Potter movie clips he had watched before his transmigration.

It seems that this year, Quirinus Quirrell, the original Muggle Studies professor at Hogwarts, was possessed by the remnant soul of Voldemort during a trip and became a puppet controlled by Voldemort.

Upon returning to Hogwarts, this guy became a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, meaning that Dumbledore invited him to take over Quirrell's position.

Thinking of this, Su Yu couldn't help but chuckle. What a joke! I went through all that trouble to get from England to America, escaped the Death Eaters' pursuit, and even made my business thrive in America.

Now that the original plot is about to begin, Voldemort is coming back, and you old Dumbledore want to call me back again? Do you think I've lived too long?

Without a second's hesitation, Su Yu made his decision in his heart. Just as he was about to write a reply, a voice rang in his mind.

Ding! The system has detected that the host has received an acceptance letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The system can be activated after the host agrees to the application.

The quill pen that had just been placed on the parchment stopped abruptly, and the reason for refusal that had been prepared turned into three words: "I'm willing!"

There's no way around it, this is a system! How can a transmigrator not have a system? And to have a system and not activate it is to be an outlier among transmigrators.
