Gáe Bolg (Piercing the Deathly Spear)

Grade: B+

Type: Anti-Army Noble Phantasm

Use Gáe Bolg's strongest attack. After a running start, rise high into the air and throw yourself to the ground with all your might.

Unlike the "Gáe Bolg" (Spear of Death), it does not have the conceptual characteristic of "always piercing the opponent's heart", but its power and range of effect have been increased.

The attack range is a carpet bombing-like move that covers the area around the opponent. Even with strong defenses or a nimble dodge, it can send a group of people flying in one fell swoop.

An overwhelming joy surged within Uchiha Iori. [A large-scale AOE attack is now available, but just how large and powerful exactly?]

It seems we still need to find a lucky audience member in Valhalla to test the gun before we can be sure.

Although he was eager to try out his new moves, he suppressed his excitement and calmly analyzed his current strength and whether there was room for improvement.

My final power comes from activating the previous combat system using my cheat ability.

Before activating my cheat ability, I mainly relied on the Sharingan to enhance my Uchiha-style and Konoha-style swordsmanship, combined with the Uchiha's signature Fire Release techniques.

Aside from the basic techniques, I only learned the Uchiha-style swordsmanship technique: Uchiha-style Blade Flame Leap, which Shisui taught me.

Although the Konoha-ryu swordsmanship inherited the Crescent Moon Dance, it is currently difficult to use in actual combat. However, the Shadow Clone Technique paired with it is proving quite effective.

[Currently, I only know three C-rank Fire Release techniques: Great Fireball, Phoenix Flower Technique, and Dragon Fire Technique.]

Once I'm promoted to Jonin, I should be able to get some high-grade items from the clan.

In preparation for the upcoming battle, Iori decides to go to the Hall of Heroes to test the power and range of her newly acquired Piercing Death Spear, while also getting used to the enhanced vision and genjutsu brought by the Three-Tomoe Sharingan.

He then plans to enhance his projection magic and build up his reserves for Unlimited Blade Works to improve his combat endurance.

Finally, if there is still time, he plans to practice the Instantaneous Movement Technique and the Shadow Clone Technique. These two techniques are extremely useful in actual combat and can provide more tactical options.

Although Iori has many things he wants to do right now, in the time leading up to the battle, he needs to focus on improving the abilities he needs most in the fight.

He decided to put aside his other plans and ideas for the time being, and to implement them after the war.

Uchiha Iori closed his eyes, and his soul crossed the boundaries of space, arriving once again at the Hall of Heroes.

As his soul power increased, Valhalla felt more and more like reality to him.

Clang, clang, bang, bang—the sound of weapons clashing came from afar, and Uchiha Iori followed the sound.

As he drew closer, the sound grew louder and louder, accompanied by violent air currents and destructive tremors that seemed to shake the very earth.

Even without unleashing their Noble Phantasms, Heroic Spirits can display astonishing power in battle, altering terrain and shattering boulders.

As he reached the edge of the battlefield, he saw Cú Chulainn engaged in fierce combat with a man dressed in distinctive attire.

The man wore a dark green bodysuit, with armor on his forearms and legs, and wielded a red spear and a red longsword. His gaze was resolute, his yellow eyes flashing sharply in battle, and his striking bangs flew through the air with his movements.

What's most striking is the mole under his eye; it seems to possess a special charm that draws people in irresistibly.

Iori smiled slightly, and the long spear he projected was planted on the ground, the sound of which alerted them to his arrival.

"Hey, mind if I join in too? Let's have a threesome." His voice betrayed a hint of excitement.

"I never refuse a warrior's challenge, but are you sure you want to fight him? As it stands, he's your nemesis."

Cú Chulainn turned to look at Iori, his words carrying a hint of mockery, but also reminding Iori of the other's abilities.

He defended with ease using his spear, unaffected by words.

"Since it's a warrior's invitation, as a knight, I never refuse. If you wish to join, then come along."

The man holding a sword and a gun spoke magnanimously.

"My name is Uchiha Iori. May I ask your honorable name, knight?"

Iori activated his Sharingan, the three tomoe in his eyes slowly rotating. He swung his spear and charged towards his opponent.

Although she said that, Iori already had some guesses about the other party's identity.

With a whoosh, the opponent's spear, like a red lightning bolt, instantly pierced towards Iori.

The spear projected by Iori was shattered instantly.

The opponent's spear passed through the shaft as if it were unimpeded, like passing through a phantom.

But Iori seemed to have anticipated this, and before the spear could strike, he dodged to the side with a swift and graceful movement.

“It seems you’ve already guessed. I am Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, the chief knight of the Fiona Knights,” the man said calmly.

Chapter 7 "The Glorious Appearance" Diarmuid Ua Duibhne

"Radiant Appearance" Dirumdo Audina.

The adopted son of Aengus mac Og, the god of love in Celtic mythology.

The chief warrior of the Irish Fiona Knights, who once protected Finn and his Fiona Knights in the Palace of the Hill Pear Grove.

According to legend, Diarmuid's beauty mark seduced Granny, the wife of his lord Finn, who then used magic to force Diarmuid to elope with her.

Despite his inner struggle, he ultimately gave in.

Diarmuid took her on a sixteen-year escape, defeating countless enemies, until Finn was forced to reconcile with Diarmuid.

However, in the end, Finn devised a scheme.

He led Diarmuid to his doom and twice refused to treat him.

Even at the very end of his life, Diarmuid did not hate Finn; he died with regret and sorrow.

He was famous for having five weapons: two swords, two spears, and a knife.

What he's holding now is probably one of the knives and one of the guns.

The Red Rose of Destruction (Gae Dearg) and the Great Wrath (Moralltach).

"It's a pleasure to meet you, great hero from Ireland, the radiant Diarmuid Ua Duibhne."

Iori nodded, greeted him, and then introduced herself.

"My name is Uchiha Iori. You can call me Iori if you don't mind."

It's quite strange, actually, if we count from the maternal lineage, Diarmuid, who was active two centuries later than Cú Chulainn,

On the contrary, Cú Chulainn's great-grandfathers were a truly peculiar generation in the mythological era.

Diarmuid looked at Iori with some curiosity. He recognized that Iori had used Cú Chulainn's Deaththorn Spear before, but he had no recollection of Iori.

"Uchiha kid, what brings you here today? If not, why don't we have a drink together? We've got a rare new member, let's celebrate together."

Cú Chulainn greeted him. Normally, Cú Chulainn was generous and easygoing, which made him likable and formed a stark contrast to his ferocious and bloodthirsty nature in battle.

Uchiha Iori smiled. Although he didn't like drinking, he knew that building relationships over drinks was a universally accepted practice.

He reluctantly refused, saying, "Just call me Iori, but not now. The world I live in is about to go to war."

"I came here to test the power of the Piercing Death Spear, to see its power, range and consumption, so that I can plan my own combat style."

Iori explained the purpose of his trip to Cú Chulainn, as he needed to experience the specific power of his new skill.

Cú Chulainn nodded in understanding.

"Oh, then we'll see if we have time later."

He waved, his smile unchanged. For Heroic Spirits, time is worthless. The daily routine of European-style Heroic Spirits consists of eating the best food, drinking the strongest liquor, and fighting the fiercest battles.

Uchiha Iori breathed a sigh of relief; he didn't like refusing other people's kindness.

"So, are you planning to test it out in an open field, or are you planning to find an opponent to fight?"

"Are you coming?" Uchiha Iori turned his gaze to Cú Chulainn, a slight smile playing on his lips. Using a fake to attack the original was immoral, but he felt a kind of NTR-like pleasure in it.

Cú Chulainn angrily swung the spear in his hand.

"I told you, don't use my gun to fight me."

Then, Cú Chulainn turned to Diarmuid and asked, "Diarmuid, do you want to go and fight him?"

Diarmuid smiled slightly and nodded.

"No problem, let me see your strength. I won't use the Crimson Rose of Exorcism or the Grand Wrath."

"They will only use a little anger and the annihilating yellow rose."

Diarmuid said that he put away his red longsword and spear and replaced them with a yellow shortsword and spear.

Legend has it that when Diarmuid believes an adventure is truly a matter of life and death, he will take with him the great wrath of the magic sword and the magic spear, the Red Rose, to shatter the magic.

When the danger is deemed minor, the demonic sword will carry a hint of anger, while the demonic spear will bring forth the inescapable yellow rose.

In mythology, it was because it only carried the latter that it died from being struck by the demon boar.

"As expected, the reason you appeared in the Holy Grail War in the form of dual swords or dual pistols is due to the limitations of your class."

"Your forte is using both gun and sword simultaneously, isn't it?"

Uchiha Iori inquired, saying that he had learned about the situation when he watched the anime in the past, and now he could ask for clarification.

“Yes, but there are no class restrictions now, so don’t underestimate me because of my performance in the Holy Grail War.” Diarmuid nodded in acknowledgment, his words carrying a hint of warning.

"I have no right to look down on others now, but words are always weak and powerless. Let's settle things with a fight." Iori swung his spear, pushed off with his feet, and charged forward.
