Yu Che chuckled, took out his deck from his bag, and skillfully placed it on his duel disk: "Heh! You... you're not getting impatient because Blue-Eyes White Dragon has become so common, are you? I won't give you a chance to beat me~"

"Hmph! Enough with the nonsense!!" Seto Kaiba roared, "The duel begins!! My turn goes first!! Special Summon—Blue-Eyes White Dragon!! And then..."

So, I'll stop writing this book here. As of now, the average daily subscription is 1903, and it may rise to more than 2,000 after a while. This is the book I've written the most words for and the one with the best results.

The two previously promised side stories—"The Five Giants' Adventure Game" and "Dungeon Dragon Gate Dice Tournament"—will be updated when I have time. As for whether they will be posted at the end of this book or in the group, we'll decide later. Anyway, I don't plan to charge for them. I can only write them in my spare time because I have to write a new book.

I would like to express my gratitude to editor Lu Ming and all the brothers who have supported me all along. Without everyone, this book would never have been completed! I will work even harder in the future to strive to write a work that will satisfy everyone as much as possible!!

Let's return to the book.

First of all, I must admit that I didn't write the final volume, the King's Memory arc, very well, and I rushed through some parts. I didn't really have a good grasp of it, and it was also related to writing two books at the same time.

When I was writing the first half of the Memory of the King arc, I actually consciously wanted to develop it fully, but firstly, I found that the reading experience wasn't very good, and there was a difference between what I had in mind and what was actually presented. Secondly, judging from the backend data, it seemed that not many people were interested in D&D, so I gradually downplayed this setting later on.

One awkward thing about the King's Memory arc is that there aren't many duels to write about, but people who read Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfiction are all looking for duels. So, after all that effort and design, it just feels particularly lackluster.

However, overall, if we count the last six or seven thousand words of the ending as two chapters, the total length is actually similar to the other volumes, around thirty chapters. So, is there a big difference? Not really.

Looking back when this book was first published, Qidian experienced a surge in Yu-Gi-Oh! fanfiction. At that time, there were all sorts of supernatural/unusual stories everywhere. As a returning author who was completely unaware of other people's new books, I was also labeled as someone who was trying to ride the wave of popularity.

Fortunately, I wasn't washed ashore when the tide went out. As one of the few genres, I survived to the end without abandoning the project. Although I didn't write the sequels to GX and 5Ds, finishing DM with 1.15 million words is at least complete.

Since I started writing this book, I have always adhered to two principles: one is to try to write content with genuine feelings, and the other is to write something novel. For the first point, this book is more inclined towards the Souls series. For the second point, I have made a lot of secondary creations in some plots, especially in the Duel Kingdom.

Overall, writing this book has brought me a lot of gains, not only in terms of income, but also in terms of improved abilities. After finishing this book, I am more familiar with the control of plot, pacing, and characters.

To be honest, I don't know whether the ending of this book is good or bad, because I haven't actually written many complete works, and writing a grand finale is indeed something I'm not very good at. Everyone is welcome to comment on their feelings. I may not be the most capable person, but I can revise quickly, and I will humbly accept everyone's suggestions.

After finishing this book, I will focus all my energy on the new one, titled "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds: Duelist Beyond the Light." For a while, I won't be doing two books at once, as it's mentally taxing. I'm not a very diligent person, and I simply can't handle that kind of pressure. I'll consider it again once I've finished writing the drafts for the new book. As for what I'll write for my next book, I haven't decided yet, but I should have enough time to prepare.

Currently, I only use two author accounts on Qidian: "Crispy Chicken" and "Soft Moo Moo Pig." I've mentioned some of my previous pseudonyms in the reader group, but I haven't published any good works under them. If any brothers are interested, feel free to join the group to chat. You're also welcome to join if you like to chat casually. My reader group is always small and inactive, I don't know why...
