"Kakashi, you still get so easily stuck in the past."

Wearing a mask, he slowly stepped out of the shadows, his eyes beneath the mask gleaming with a complex light.

Kakashi turned around at the sound, warily examining the suddenly appearing figure. The other person's strange attire made him even more suspicious.

"who?"

Kakashi gave a low rebuke, his hands already moving silently.

Obito remained unmoved and swiftly reached out a hand towards Kakashi's left eye. He hadn't come here to reminisce; his only purpose was to retrieve his eye.

Kakashi remained calm in the face of this sudden attack.

He narrowed his eyes, observing the enemy's movements. The act of reaching out unintentionally exposed his weakness to the enemy. Without hesitation, Kakashi drew the kunai he always carried and thrust it directly at Obito.

Just when he thought he was about to hit the enemy's vital point, Obito's body suddenly became illusory and distorted, and the kunai passed directly through the enemy's body, demonstrating his ability to become intangible once again.

"Successful!"

A confident smile curled at the corner of Obito's mouth beneath his mask. This was his true strength; his previous defeats were merely accidents.

Just as he was about to touch Kakashi, Kakashi's entire body suddenly emitted blue lightning.

A series of electric currents struck Obito directly as he emerged from his Hollowfication state. The numbing currents coursed through his entire body, causing little damage but leaving him in a very sorry state.

His earlier smugness has become a joke.

"Lightning Clone!"

Obito gritted his teeth and spat out those words. He never expected that Kakashi would be prepared. He could already sense that this might be a trap.

Swish swish—

Several figures appeared around Obito in an instant, with Kakashi leading the way, who had just used his Lightning Clone Technique.

With him were Guy and Asuma, both of whom wore solemn expressions, whether from the enemy's strange abilities or from the fact that the enemy had been able to swagger into Konoha.

Kakashi's expression became even more complicated. He stepped forward and asked with a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

"Obito, is it really you?"

Obito, hidden behind the mask, suddenly felt as if his brain was about to explode. How did everyone suddenly know his true identity?

Seeing that the other party remained silent, Kakashi became even more convinced of the information Ye Lan had given him; he could hardly believe what was said.

"Why? Isn't your dream to become Hokage? Why don't you go back to the village? Is it because of Rin?"

Ye Lan's departure had already dealt a blow to Kakashi. He was still lost in the confusion of his father's death and had not witnessed Naruto's rise to power. Kakashi had lost all hope.

"Kakashi, pull yourself together! Regardless of whether he's Obito or not, he's our enemy now!"

Looking at Kakashi, whose eyes had dimmed, Kai couldn't help but think back to the past, when Kakashi looked just like this after the Fourth Hokage's death.

He couldn't bear to see Kakashi continue to struggle.

"Kakashi, the current Hokage is Lady Tsunade, and the village is not what it used to be! You were Konoha's number one sculptor, how could you fall here!"

Asuma also advised that Konoha's current internal and external troubles were ultimately a result of the troubles left behind by his father, the Hokage.

Asuma knew his abilities were limited and never thought about going higher. When Kakashi approached him, he agreed to the request without hesitation.

"I'm sorry to have worried you."

The mature Kakashi won't be easily defeated. If he can't figure things out, he should face the situation at hand first.

Kai is absolutely right. No matter who the person in front of him is, he is Kakashi's enemy right now.

"What a nauseating bond."

Obito recovered from his shock and, seeing that there was no need to hide it, took off his mask himself.

Seeing Obito's half-disfigured face, Kakashi forcibly suppressed his inner surprise and asked in a low voice.

"Did you do the Nine-Tails incident 13 years ago?!"

Obito gave a cold laugh, cracked his knuckles, and said disdainfully.

"I didn't expect Uchiha Yelan to tell you even about something like this. It seems he wasn't a complete rogue ninja after all."

Obito wasn't stupid. Kakashi's sources of information were very similar to Ye Lan's, and the only source of information he could obtain was Ye Lan himself.

"So you admit it!"

A fire ignited in Kakashi's heart. This was the first time he had ever been so angry. Kakashi knew better than anyone how Minato had treated them.

Naruto's tragic past, the demise of the Uchiha clan, and the decline of Konoha were all orchestrated by Obito.

"So what if I did it? Do you want to kill me?"

Obito's expression was amused; he didn't show too much panic in front of his old classmates.

Having not seen anyone else for so long, Obito had a guess in his mind. He figured Kakashi hadn't notified anyone else, so he still had time.

"brute!"

Asuma was the first to lose his temper. Although he had the least close relationship with Obito, he also deeply loved Konoha. Now that the mastermind was right in front of him, how could he not be furious?

A powerful wind-style technique condensed on the two chakra blades, and Asuma threw the blades out. The two fist-shaped blades, carrying a strong whirlwind, rushed directly towards Obito.

Asuma retained some rationality and did not rush forward to attack, instead using long-range attack methods.

"You think you can hurt me with wind-style techniques of this level?"

Obito looked disdainful and spat out a large fireball from his mouth. Asuma's Wind Release actually amplified the power of the Fire Release.

Kakashi's pupils contracted slightly. Was this really the Obito he knew? The speed and strength of his hand seals were unimaginable unless he had seen it with his own eyes.

Tuliubi

Kakashi slammed his hands on the ground, and a thick earthen wall rose up. He quickly told the others to take cover behind him.

The flames crashed against the earthen wall without stopping, and Asuma's Wind Release technique brought even greater impact. Kakashi realized something was wrong and quickly grabbed his companions, and the three of them crouched down behind the earthen wall.

The blazing flames then broke through the earthen wall and passed right over their heads. If Kakashi hadn't held them down in time, they probably would have been injured.

"This is terrifying! Only Ye Lan could use such a fire-style technique..."

Asuma's face paled slightly. Kakashi had told him to be prepared before they came, but he hadn't expected the masked man he had met once before to be so powerful.

"Don't worry, this is our home turf after all... No, disperse quickly!"

Kakashi was about to offer some words of comfort when his expression changed. Several enormous shuriken pierced through the last half of the earthen wall, instantly turning into fragments. The massive shuriken were about to hit several people; being hit by a shuriken of that size would likely require a long hospital stay.

As the dust settled, Obito looked at the disheveled state of the others and couldn't help but feel proud. Back then, he was the last of them to become Chunin.

Now that times have changed, he can easily defeat three opponents by himself. Even if his identity is recognized, Obito is confident that he can regain his Sharingan.

Chapter 137 Kamui's Weakness

"Since that's the case, then I'll show you what youth is all about!"

Kai's eyes gleamed with determination, his hands crossed over his chest like steel, and then he swung them down sharply.

A surge of green chakra erupted from his body like a volcanic eruption.

"Eight Gates, open!"

Just like Rock Lee in the Chunin Exams, Guy, as his teacher, had reached a level of mastery in understanding this forbidden taijutsu, and opened the sixth gate, the Gate of View, without much effort.

"The Eight Gates Formation? Useless. This kind of physical attack can't hurt me at all."

Obito narrowed his eyes, his words revealing confidence. He was right; what difference did it make if even the most powerful taijutsu couldn't hit the target?

Leaf Vajra Cyclone

Guy already possessed taijutsu far exceeding that of ordinary Jonin, and with the terrifying enhancement of the Eight Gates, he charged forward at an extremely fast speed, his leg striking Obito like an iron hammer.

However, after witnessing Ye Lan's speed, Kai's speed in opening the Six Gates was no match for him. Obito didn't even need to use Hollowfication; he simply dodged the attack with his reaction.

"Only six gates? Looks like I'm being underestimated."

Obito snorted, but before he could even feel happy, a bolt of lightning appeared in front of him.

Thunder Beast Chasing Fang

Kakashi seized the opportunity, and lightning in the shape of a wolf shot out from his hand. The speed of his lightning release was in no way inferior to that of Guy.

Obito's body instantly contorted as the wolf-shaped Thunder Beast passed right through him. Once the Hollowfication ability was activated, all physical attacks became ineffective.

His figure appeared and disappeared in the blink of an eye, seemingly vanishing only to reappear each time. Unwilling to give up, Asuma stepped forward and used Fire Release to try and stop Obito.

The Sarutobi clan's fire-style techniques were in no way inferior to those of ordinary Uchiha clan members. A large fireball was spat out from Asuma's mouth, and in the blink of an eye, a firefield formed in front of them.

"it's useless!"

Obito's hoarse voice told the other party the absolute truth: even flames could not stop him in the slightest, and his gloved hand was about to grab Kakashi.

There was no time to form hand seals; the only thing Kakashi could use was the gift the man in front of him had given him.

"Divine power!"

Obito's expression changed, and his entire body became ethereal again, passing right into Kakashi's body.

Kakashi's instantaneous Kamui attack also failed to work.

The crisis was finally over. Kakashi covered his left eye and was a little out of breath. He was still not quite used to the power of the Mangekyou Sharingan.

Guy and Asuma both came to Kakashi's side, showing concern for his health. They were also aware that the other's target was Kakashi.

Kakashi straightened up, turned to look at Obito, who had changed drastically, and said.

"Remember when you said you'd one day unleash your divine power? That's why I named this move 'Divine Power'..."

Obito remained expressionless, but his heart was churning with turmoil. Kakashi not only used his Sharingan skillfully, but even the names of his techniques were exactly the same.

"boring!"

But he wouldn't be so easily swayed; after uttering two words, he continued his attack.

Morning Peacock

This time, Kai didn't leave Kakashi's side. He jumped into the air and kept swinging his fists. The rapid punches and friction with the air produced fireballs, forming a rain of flames like meteors.

"I've said it countless times, attacks like this are completely useless!"

Obito strolled leisurely through the fiery rain, unaffected by the loud noises of each fireball striking the ground.
