Unfortunately, even though Captain Marvel is very powerful, the battle between the two sides will inevitably be a catastrophe, and the outcome is uncertain.

At least for now, S.H.I.E.L.D. still lacks the technological means to counter Supergirl.

“Okay, I’d like to know, who are the members of Blackwatch? Are they all supernatural beings?” Nick Fury sighed and asked helplessly.

S.H.I.E.L.D. has absolutely no intelligence on this organization, not even its personnel or headquarters location. If they can learn something from this conversation, that would be great.

“Tony and I are the founders, and then there should be Dr. Banner and Dr. Betty.”

“You mean Dr. Bruce Banner?” Nick Fury asked in surprise.

Fuck, that's a pre-selected member of the Avengers plan!

And then there's Tony Stark. He originally planned to hack into the island villa system and talk to Tony face-to-face, since this Iron Man has a rather unruly personality and gets overly enthusiastic when given a little encouragement.

Now that they've all become Blackwatch members, how is he supposed to organize the Avengers?

"Besides the leadership, Blackwatch also has some Shadow Guards, who you can think of as personnel at a level comparable to ordinary S.H.I.E.L.D. agents."

Lu Yunmeng did not hide anything and told the truth.

S.H.I.E.L.D. will find out sooner or later; she didn't intend to hide it forever.

Nick Fury's expression was complex. What exactly was the Shadow Guard?

They've reached the level of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents; this is clearly a force to be reckoned with in Blackwatch, aside from the overt leadership.

He really wanted to ask how many Shadowguards there were, but he felt that the question was a bit silly, just like he wouldn't tell others how many S.H.I.E.L.D. agents there were.

"Does this mean we've reached an agreement?" Lu Yun asked, puzzled, after seeing Nick Fury remain silent for a long time.

"I will do my best to make arrangements, but it is still hard to say whether I can successfully fight for Blackwatch's independence."

Nick Fury felt very tired and said with some difficulty.

"You will succeed," Lu Yunmeng said with a meaningful smile.

"Okay, I'll be going now. Let's keep in touch." She nodded to Steve, then stood up and walked towards the window of the reception room.

As she passed Hill, she reached out and gave the tall, beautiful female agent a light slap on her shapely buttocks.

"Too irritable, beautiful. It's not a good habit to draw your gun like that."

Before Hill could even react, she vanished like a gust of wind, leaving a stunned Hill standing there helplessly.

"Wait?! Why did she pat my butt?"

Hill rubbed his buttocks incredulously, completely bewildered.

This doesn't cause much harm, but it's extremely insulting. Does this Superwoman have something wrong with her?

"Maybe Supergirl is interested in you. I might send you to infiltrate her inner circle," Nick Fury said with a light smile, making a joke that wasn't too serious.

“Sir, this is not funny at all.” Hill’s face darkened. She simply couldn’t believe that such a beautiful girl would engage in such groping behavior!

“She’s a bit vengeful, isn’t she?” Nick Fury said meaningfully.

“But that was just an instinctive reaction,” Hill replied calmly.

Drawing a gun when encountering danger is purely instinctive, not malicious; it's simply a form of vigilance.

To put it bluntly, it's just out of fear, a way to bolster one's courage. Do you really think you can let Supergirl fire a burst of bullets? What a joke! She's a monster who can easily withstand heavy vehicle fire and Vulcan missiles from armed helicopters, remaining completely unscathed.

“So, we need to remember to avoid messing with this troublesome guy,” Nick Fury said, rubbing his temples in pain.

At least until a way to deal with Supergirl is found, a good relationship must be maintained.

"I can hear you..." Suddenly, a sound came from outside the window, growing louder as it approached.

"Damn it, I forgot Supergirl has super hearing! Just how many superpowers did these damn comics give her?!" Nick Fury broke down, cursing and swearing. Agent Hill couldn't help but chuckle, almost bursting out laughing.

“Alright, alright, let’s not talk about that now. I think we have a lot to do. Captain, welcome to the 21st century.” Nick Fury stood up and solemnly shook Steve’s hand.

Facing this hero of the world, a symbol of honor, courage and sacrifice, and a fearless leader of freedom, Nick Fury, as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., must show him sufficient respect.

It's worth noting that Nick Fury also grew up listening to stories about Captain America.

In that turbulent era, when people suffered injustice, they would place their hopes on their spiritual leader, even though Captain America had already been confirmed "sacrificed".

"This isn't the first time I've heard someone welcome me to the new world." Steve sighed wistfully and smiled helplessly.

"In fact, society is quite good now; it's very inclusive and there's much less racial discrimination..."

Coulson began his introduction with a smile, but he couldn't continue because the chief's deathly gaze, which seemed to burn a person, fell upon him.

Rogers nodded calmly and seriously.

Even Nigel the Elder can become the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., so there's no racial discrimination involved, right?

In the past, people would be picking cotton at this time...

“Captain Rogers, welcome to S.H.I.E.L.D.” Nick Fury glared at Coulson, then shook Steve’s hand firmly.

Although the prototype of the Avengers was "copied", he still found the second piece of the puzzle, which is also the most important one - the team leader Captain America.

Chapter 56 Expansion

Steve's stay in Blackwatch was not long.

After waking up in the monitoring room of Stark's private medical facility, he underwent only three days of rehabilitation before immediately throwing himself into the battle to annihilate the Red Room secret service.

As a soldier, Rogers' memories are still deeply rooted in World War II, when the Allied forces of Britain and the United States were fighting against Nazi Germany.

However, his sudden awakening made him realize that the whole world had been turned upside down.

He felt out of place in modern society and longed to rediscover the familiar feelings of the past.

Blackwatch is a private organization, independent of governments and states, and its principle is to be free from the control of any institution.

However, it is relatively weak in terms of personal connections and background.

In comparison, S.H.I.E.L.D. has a much stronger background.

Unlike national intelligence agencies such as the CIA, FBI, KGB, and Mossad, S.H.I.E.L.D. is a special force established to combat supernatural events and is fully managed by the World Security Council.

The International Security Council provides it with funding, supplies, and intelligence support, and S.H.I.E.L.D. has absolute priority in handling numerous cases.

Most importantly, S.H.I.E.L.D. was established with Peggy's help.

Based on these factors, Steve declined the invitation to join Blackwatch and instead chose S.H.I.E.L.D.

In fact, his understanding of Blackwatch was quite limited; he had only heard some attractive ideas when Lu Yunmeng invited him to join.

"So, Blackwatch's predecessor was the Red House of the former Soviet Union, that secret intelligence organization led by Drekoff?" Nick Fury was shocked, his eyes filled with disbelief.

The information he received from Captain America was difficult for him to process at first.

Supergirl organized a superhero operation that included S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, but he, as the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., was completely unaware of it?

Moreover, wasn't the Red House destroyed back in January of this year?

It is said that the mission was carried out jointly by two elite agents, Romanov and Clint!

So, was the bombing and assassination of Drakov organized by S.H.I.E.L.D. completely wasted, and they were just being played around?

The intelligence services have utterly failed in their duties!

“That’s right, the one who was killed in the explosion was just Drekoff’s double. We found two other doubles inside the Red House base, both of whom were created using some kind of medical cosmetic surgery technique.” Steve nodded, making no attempt to hide anything.

He knew perfectly well that Supergirl wanted to inform S.H.I.E.L.D. through him.

"Where's Agent Romanov?" Nick Fury's eyes darkened as he turned to Coulson and asked.

Natasha clearly knew more about the inside story, yet she hadn't mentioned it a single day since returning to the station!

Moreover, the tens of thousands of Black Widows in the Red Room, once gathered together, would be a powerful force that would make all nations and powers wary, and S.H.I.E.L.D. had to be on guard.

If they had known this beforehand, they wouldn't be in such a passive position. But now they've all become Shadow Guards of the Blackwatch. Who can S.H.I.E.L.D. complain to?!

But then I thought, can it really be prevented?

Supergirl's sheer power is enough to give S.H.I.E.L.D. a run for their money, not to mention the big capitalist Tony Stark and the giant who turns green when he's angry.

“Natasha has gone to the Middle East on a mission and is currently in a state of silence; we cannot contact her,” Coulson replied with an awkward laugh.

"Damn it! She's obviously hiding this from me on purpose!" Nick Fury's face darkened. Anyone would feel bad if their subordinate kept such an important matter from them.

“However, Agent Romanov left a message before he left this morning.” Coulson smiled, seemingly unconcerned about his superior’s volatile temper.

"Why didn't you say so sooner!" Nick Fury glared at him, quite annoyed.

“I was just about to tell you, and then the captain showed up.” Coulson rubbed his hands together, replying slightly embarrassed.

When he learned that Captain America had come to S.H.I.E.L.D., he appeared calm on the surface, but in reality he was incredibly excited.

At that moment, he still had a limited edition Captain America card in his shirt pocket, hoping to find an opportunity to get the Captain's autograph.

Nick Fury rubbed his temples, nodded helplessly, and gestured for Coulson to continue.

"Natasha said that these Black Widows left over from the Red Room secret service were all pitiful people. They were recruited from all over by Drekoff and subjected to brutal training. Many of them had already lost their lives in that hellhole. She felt deeply for them."

"Therefore, she did not want these girls to repeat the same mistakes. They would be properly placed by Blackwatch, working as mercenaries and employees, and their brain nerves would be freed from the control of the chemical agents."

"Although the Red House was affiliated with the former Soviet Union, the Soviet Union has long since dissolved, so theoretically, this organization is not under the control of any country."

"Black Widows who are recruited are not obligated to be controlled by other forces; joining Blackwatch is a better choice."

Coulson honestly reported that when he received this thorny news, he had expected his chief to be furious.

"That's all?" Nick Fury's eyes gradually turned dangerous.

"Oh, and also, Agent Romanoff said she had considered recruiting these Black Widows into S.H.I.E.L.D., but was worried about being turned into cheese paste by Supergirl. She had done her best, so she gave up the idea."

Colson added calmly.

Nick Fury's expression was constantly shifting; despite his dark skin, the intense emotional fluctuations were still clearly visible.

Finally, he sighed deeply.

Thinking about it carefully, Natasha's words seem to make sense. Making S.H.I.E.L.D. compete with Blackwatch for talent is tantamount to choosing to antagonize Supergirl, which is an extremely irrational act.

“Alright, I got it. You guys go ahead and get busy. Coulson, take the captain to familiarize himself with the S.H.I.E.L.D. environment; Hill, go and draft a document for me.” Nick Fury waved his hand, stood up, and walked towards the door.

This matter is too important; he needs to report it to the International Security Council immediately.

S.H.I.E.L.D. and the relevant countries must make a decision as soon as possible regarding their attitude towards Blackwatch, the organization founded by Supergirl.
