The Iron Monger was clearly at a significant disadvantage in terms of strength, and its design lacked agility, allowing it to be completely overwhelmed by the agile and powerful MK3.

He couldn't understand why, despite creating a more advanced and larger suit of armor than Tony's, they were completely powerless to fight back.
