"I am Mirror, the leader of the Magic Research Club, and a member of the Salvation Society, [Magic Mirror]."

Responding with etiquette no less than that of a king, Jing was intrigued.

“However, Your Majesty Lucius, I am not a [King].

The seven chains of magic transformed into an abyss that devoured light, while the Mirror Crystal made Andre Castle shine.

“I agree with you. But I am a soldier, a follower who continues to spread the glory of the great leader.”

"Now, the King of Black..."

The fragile mirror surface gathered light, and Jing's gentle voice seemed to have moved to the dark side, deep and sinister. Every mirror reflected Jing's dark mask in Lu Xiuxiu's vision, whispering the truth from every angle.

"You will pay a price beyond death for damaging the academy I am so proud of."

The shards of the mirror transformed into sharp swords, and the surging tide of blades rushed towards Lu Xiuxiu, piercing his limbs, his torso, his heart, his head, and his eyes, which gleamed with bright red, bird-shaped symbols.

"Geass!" The king's command resounded like thunder, and at his shout, the torrent of swords ceased.

The mirror floated in mid-air, and the pattern of a bird with outstretched wings had pierced through his body.

Exhausted, Lu Xiuxiu gasped for breath as he looked at the lich before him, whose power instilled fear in him.

"With the blessing of Raymond's justice, my Geass has absolute priority, my power is absolute priority, Mirror."

"Are you underestimating Andre? Do you think our understanding of the power of the angels of retribution is inferior to yours?" Mirror continued to move as usual under Lu Xiuxiu's surprised gaze, her cold words seeming to shatter his last shred of pride. "The absolute priority of releasing abilities, the reckless abuse of power bestowed by the Holy Light, the fools who emphasize their own superiority—I am the one who will drag you down."

“I am the mirror, your other side, the one who strikes back. Just as you have the ability to always strike first, Lu Xiuxiu, my talent is reflection, which records all attacks and magic that I suffer and returns them completely.”

"Whether it's a death finger that brings instant death or a blade that delivers a fatal blow, I will reverse that concept and repay it tenfold."

Folding the world, reflecting a kaleidoscope.

"Through the myriad magic mirrors I've erected at Andre Castle, you traitors of the Literary Society, enjoy your own attacks."

The mirror's body twisted into the shape of Lu Xiuxiu, and its light shone brightly.

“Geass, in the name of my Mirror, surrender, you traitor.”

The birds transformed into countless rainbow lights, bursting forth from the mirror's eye, flying towards the mirror's surface, and rushing towards all parts of Andrei.

"You've lost, Lu Xiuxiu."

Lu Xiuxiu, suffering from the backlash of Geass, stood rooted to the spot, while Jing's palm approached him like a soothing hand to a frightened child.

Just as Lu Xiuxiu's head was about to be enveloped by the crystal, a weak voice slowly sounded.

"Want to make a deal with me, Mirror?"

Jing snorted coldly, "The last struggle, Lu Xiuxiu..." Jing suddenly thought of the other side that existed in Lu Xiuxiu's body and took a step back.

"Could it be that you, you bastard..."

The rusted chains began to turn, and the brass gears clanged in the sky.

The familiar scene, the familiar transaction, made Jing somewhat impulsive. He was bound by a hidden concept and could only roar at this person.

"Reporter!!! You bastard, you actually regained your senses all along!!! You damned bastard!!!"

The reporter's eyes flashed with a bird symbol, a pattern that led the mirror's thoughts to another hypothesis.

"Ah, so my true form is called 'Reporter'." Lu Xiuxiu teased with a smile, "You liches are really bad at choosing names, linking your names to your abilities. You deserve to be used by others."

Looking at the distorted personality, Jing said something she herself dared not even think of.

"Reporter, no, Lu Xiuxiu. You didn't regain your memory, but instead used your intelligence to trace back to the reporter's personality?!"

Lu Xiuxiu shook his head. "I only discovered the power that this body possesses. I don't believe in the so-called God of Light or heroes. My way of thinking is to remain skeptical of the uncontrollable unknown... Discovering that I am just a puppet in human skin, discovering that I am just a fabricated personality..."

Jing stared at her familiar yet unfamiliar companion.

"You knew it was fake, yet you still helped those bastards do whatever they wanted. Has your damned sense of humor awakened yet?"

Lu Xiuxiu's voice carried a hint of relief.

"Is there no reason to pursue something false? You soldier captured by reality."

Jing snorted coldly.

"Even if you use the [Secret] deal, nothing can be changed. I have already released the power of Geass, and you and those fools will be corrected in the Tower of Souls. This is the only outcome."

“I agree with this outcome, hypocrisy returns to hypocrisy... but I want to end it in a different way, with the magnificent curtain call that I do best.”

Looking at Lu Xiuxiu, the reporter's face revealed a look he had never shown before.

"What else do you want to do? My ability can reflect Geass, and your power is ineffective against me."

Lu Xiuxiu laughed, a hearty laugh.

"What a piece of trash reality, devoid of any novelty. Fine, then I'll just put on my final performance, like a play!"

"Isn't there another one here that can be controlled by Geass?!"

Lu Xiuxiu raised his head high, his pupils reflecting the image of a bird staring directly at the massive brass gear atop the rusted world.

"Geass! In the name of Lucius A. Niatabri, I command you! God-like [Secret]! Complete your deal with me!"

"Use my power, Geass, as a bargaining chip to make Geass's power a part of [Secret]!!!"

The gears emitted a piercing scream, and the sharp chains executed a powerful command, piercing Lu Xiuxiu's eyeballs and retracting the bird symbol.

Mystery must be hidden and protected.

Geass, instantly become part of the [Secret].

The collective accusations released by the mirror reflection were completely erased under [secret] interference!

The mirror lifted the swaying man, and under the extreme extraction of magic, the disguise of flesh and blood on his face slowly peeled away, revealing the skeleton inside and the surging flames of his soul, like a doll on the verge of breaking.

"Is it necessary? To lose your own power and erase the Geass I released, since you know of Andre's existence, you also understand that it's just buying those fools a chance to catch their breath. Andre's high-end combat force isn't just me."

Lu Xiuxiu raised the skeleton's arm and observed it curiously.

"My plan's only objective is to restrict your movements. King of Black Abyss Gladiator Spells, your ability to reflect is the nemesis of righteous heroes. Everything is proceeding according to my plan, including my exit..."

The mirror carried the lich companion away into the depths of the castle, muttering to itself.

"Can a distorted personality increase intelligence...?"

Chapter 701 The Law of Loneliness

Jing, having brought Lu Xiuxiu (the reporter) bound, arrived at the Soul Tower. He personally led this abnormal soul here. Setting aside his own stance, Jing actually quite liked this personality named Lu Xiuxiu, much more than the reporter himself. Perhaps his own attitude was also part of this mastermind's plan. Even considering this possibility, Jing still personally brought Lu Xiuxiu here, intending for the Soul Tower to correct the reporter's soul, which could also be seen as a farewell to his brief friendship.

He pushed open the hazy door and, inside the tower, saw Mr. Astonishment, who had just finished his ritual. Beside him were two raggedly dressed liches, members of the literary society who had just completed their rectification ceremony. They had once been heroes of light who had willingly sacrificed themselves to protect their comrades, but now they had become sinners of Andrei once again.

Mr. Surprise is conducting the final test.

"Have you repented for the destruction you caused to Andre Academy and the harm you inflicted on your lich colleagues during your madness? Answer me, do you feel remorse for the sins you committed and wish to repent?"

The two liches shook their heads, their soul flames burning faintly, revealing their barely concealed excitement.

"No, if I could, I'd like to undergo the Plague Doctor's dream transformation again. Holy crap, my last line was so cool, and the power of the Holy Light is just awesome! If the Plague Doctor gives me another chance, I'll beat Andre up again! If I had to put a time limit on it, I'd hope it's ten thousand years!"

"..." Mr. Astonishment re-bound the spirits of the two liches.

Jing asked curiously.

"The ritual failed?"

"They've passed the test. Now they're complete scoundrels from the Literature Club. I'm just keeping them tied up here until the enforcers come back to claim them. After all, they still have to face punishment."

Jing turned to look at the two liches, who were still gloating over the actions of their previous "self." Needless to say, they were bastards from the Pure Literature Club.

Mr. Astonishment ignored the mirror; most vengeful spirits are so solitary, focusing only on the present without interference from others. The Soul Tower was bursting with activity, every room crammed with spirits awaiting correction, not just the Literature Club.

Jing sat patiently in the waiting room, with two unusual souls sitting beside him, their heads bowed and faces covered.

What's wrong with you?

The spirit didn't look up, and said dejectedly.

"We are repenting."

The mirror's gaze was fixed on them.

"Liches are merciless dead, and we will not repent."

"We are not repenting, but rather entering a state of [repentance]. We are members of a club that fought against the rebels of the Literature Club, and as a result, we were attacked by that pack of Holy Light Dogs, cursed, and forced to undergo treatment."

Jing watched as two more spirits were tied up in sacks and thrown outside, while the two penitents covered their faces and went into the room.

"Forced repentance, I feel like the law would really like this state."

“That’s probably the ability of my companion, the Grim Reaper Elementary School Student Conan.” Lu Xiuxiu lay on the floor, his hands and feet tightly bound, but his expression showed no discomfort. He took over the conversation like an ordinary friend. “That’s why I have to stop you. Among my companions, there are many powerful single-target abilities. Your reflexive ability is too much of a hindrance.”

Jing shrugged. "Since I've done as you wish, Your Highness Lu Xiuxiu, would you like to tell me about your companion's abilities and satisfy my curiosity?"

"Detective Conan, the Grim Reaper, is said to be a detective who can cause murders around him. Although I think his existence is more like a living Grim Reaper, even the God of Light thinks so."

"Ke Bei's ability is 'There's only one truth, and you're the murderer!', a single-target type. When Ke Bei uses this ability on a target, the target will be forced to become a murderer. He will stop all his work, and his desire for revenge against someone around him will become extremely strong. Finally, he will use this anger to complete the act of backstabbing his comrade. After the 'murderer' has completed the act, he will also be forced into a state of 'repentance,' meaning he will be unable to engage in normal aggressive behavior and will feel a sense of shame and guilt towards himself."

"However, liches cannot be killed, so Ke Bei's ability is more effective at interrupting and sealing a lich's incantation. Ke Bei is our offensive force, and his ability has been extremely effective in many raids by the gang."

Jing listened to this bizarre ability to destroy the team and fell into a long silence.

“If Ke Bei dies, he will become a qualified lich. Andrei has plenty of talents like that who can create betrayal and death.”

Perhaps to achieve his goal of delaying Jing, Lu Xiuxiu introduced many interesting abilities of the Heroes of Light to Jing over the next period of time. Some were unbelievable, while others made the lich laugh his head off. Jing and Lu Xiuxiu's communication was quite pleasant. Not long after, the door to Mr. Astonishment's ritual room opened again. This time, Lu Xiuxiu was his only correction subject.

Jing stood up, patted the clothes off the spirit body, and walked out of the tower.

Lu Xiuxiu went against his wishes and stepped into eternal death.

"Now I have another reason to hate the literature club."

……

The battle raging in the Andrei Park is in full swing. The law has unwittingly become a force for control, directing operations on the battlefield rather than issuing decrees effective against its own side, mostly only capable of mitigating losses. The individual abilities of the Literary Society's Hero of Light are so outrageous and absurd that they are impossible to defend against.

"What?! Your figure club's Necromancer Gundam got taken by the literature club?! What the hell?! Isn't that your club's prized possession?! You let the literature club touch something so valuable?!"

Shining, defiant against the roar of the law, offered a soft defense.

"Back then, nobody knew the Literature Club was going to rebel! The Literature Club is known for being capricious, and what's more! And what's more!! They paid a lot for the trial! Who knew that the Literature Club would actually operate that half-finished Deus Exusiai Gundam that only the Plague Doctor could drive! We just let them take a look!"
