Upon hearing the sound, Kira quickly closed the book and put it in his pocket.
His movements were quick and his expression was naturally calm, as if he were looking at a guidebook of some color, not a book of dark magic: "Nothing, just reading 'One Hundred Ways to Cook Warcraft,' and I just happened to see how to cook cats. Do you want to see it?"
Upon hearing this, Habby's legs trembled violently: "No...no more..."
"Don't worry, Happy! You're a companion, not an emergency food supply. I won't lay a hand on you!"
Kira spoke sincerely, and as he did so, he reached out and stroked Happy's fur. But this gesture didn't seem to have much of a comforting effect; Happy, whose fur was being stroked, trembled like a leaf, nodding his little head incessantly, wondering if he owed Kira a fish head.
"By the way, Happy, do you prefer steamed, braised, stewed, or grilled?"
"!! I...I like someone more energetic..."
"Huh? Eat it raw? That's not good, is it? It won't taste good without the seasonings..."
"Then... then let's not eat it..."
Happy tried to run away, but Kira grabbed its tail with one hand and pressed a cushion against it with the other, looking exactly like someone bullying the weak.
"You're not eating anymore? You said it yourself, you can't go back on your word later, okay?"
"I said it! I said it!! I won't eat a single bite!!!"
"I'll give you one more chance, are you sure you don't want it?"
"Absolutely not! I'll fight anyone who asks me for it!!"
Kira released Happy and sat back down. "That's a real shame! But since you've said that, you won't be able to eat a single bite of fish then!"
"Huh?!" Happy's expression immediately froze. "When? What kind of fish?"
Kira suddenly revealed a smug expression, leaned close to Happy's ear and whispered a few words. Happy's jaw dropped in shock, and he stared at Kira in disbelief: "Are you serious...?!"
Kira nodded solemnly, and then Happy turned completely gray, as if he couldn't accept the news Kira brought. He collapsed onto the table with a thud.
Just then, Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, Wendy, and Carla walked over one after another. Judging from their travel-worn appearance, they must have just returned from a mission.
Natsu was the first to notice that something was wrong with his partner and rushed over to ask, "Happy, what's wrong?"
“Natsu…I didn’t expect this…I really didn’t expect this…”
Lucy was also puzzled: "That's strange. I was so happy when I rushed into the guild. It was less than a minute ago. How did I change like this?"
However, when they saw Kira sitting calmly beside them, they immediately realized where the problem lay.
"Hey Kira! Did you bully Happy again?" Erza asked Kira familiarly, then sat down in her seat and stretched her tired body.
Kira denied it: "No way! He refused the whole fish feast himself!"
"Huh?! Harpy refused a whole fish feast? That's really unusual! By the way, why would there be a whole fish feast in the first place...?"
"Oh? You all don't know?" Kira chuckled softly. "That's because... Alzak and Bisca are getting married!!!"
The air fell silent, and everyone looked bewildered.
But Kira continued, seemingly unfazed: "There will definitely be a huge feast at the wedding! I was originally planning to book a special table of fish for Happy, Charlene, and Lily, but Happy refused! Since he said so, we won't be preparing any for him... Hmm, this also saves Alzak and Bisca some money..."
"Wait!! Wait!!!" The group interrupted Kira's words all at once.
Erza blushed, her excited expression making everyone chuckle: "Arzac and Bisca are getting married?! When did they decide?! When are they getting engaged?!"
"We only went out on one mission, and we've already missed so much?!" Natsu exclaimed in surprise, joining the others in their astonishment, before a look of confusion crossed his face. "But weren't they together the whole time?"
Gray was the most normal one, his surprise mixed with a bit of delight, and his delight punctuated by two muttered complaints: "Is their relationship progressing so quickly? If I remember correctly, didn't they just have their first date not long ago?"
Lucy was quite disappointed, clenching her fists as if she were arguing with someone: "Damn it! How could I, the guild's CP promoter, be completely unaware of something so important?!"
Wendy hugged Xia Lulu tightly, who looked speechless and glanced at her sideways. Xia Lulu lowered her head, blushing, and murmured repeatedly, "Marriage...marriage..."
Harpy continued to lie on the table, muttering repeatedly, "A whole fish feast...a whole fish feast..."
Clearly, this sudden news caught them all off guard.
The incident occurred during the few days that Kira was away on a mission.
On the day he returned to Magnolia, he ran into Alzac and Bisca on a date, but Kira was so blinded by the "2 million J reward" that he didn't notice the detail that the two were holding hands.
Kira didn't realize until the next day when they announced the news to the guild that it was on that very day that Bisca had proposed to Alzak. Then, she turned a corner and bumped into him, only to find herself so flustered that she missed the chance to be the "first to know."
"I'm telling you, they were the first to tell me this!" Kira boasted to the group with a smug look on his face.
Natsu, Gray, and Erza exclaimed in amazement, "Wow!! That's amazing!!! As expected of Kira!!!"
"What's so great about that..."
"Hmph, you wouldn't understand, Lucy! This is proof of male friendship!! Being the first to be told means I'm their best friend!!!"
"That's right, that's right!"
"How could someone as emotionally idiotic as Lucy possibly understand these principles?"
"I don't want to be talked about like that by a bunch of real emotional idiots!!"
Seeing that the atmosphere was just right, Kira dropped another bombshell: "Not only that, Alzak invited me to be his best man!! Listen carefully, best man!!!"
Natsu, Gray, and Erza gasped again.
"What?!!"
"Amazing!!!"
"As expected of Kira!!!"
Natsu, always eager to teach, leaned close to Lucy and explained, "Lucy, the fact that Kira was chosen as the best man means..."
"I already know that without you telling me!!!"
Chapter 395 Erza: I'll definitely be the bridesmaid.
"Seriously, who do you think is emotionally idiotic?!"
Lucy was clearly furious at being treated like an emotional idiot by Natsu and the others. She grumbled as she sat down, picked up a cushion and started hitting it wildly, getting angrier with each hit. "Aaaaaah!!! How dare these guys do that?!"
Gray tilted his head, utterly puzzled: "Seriously, why is Lucy so angry?"
Erza explained, "It must be because she wasn't told right away that she's angry, right?"
Harpy stood up nonchalantly and chimed in, showing no trace of his earlier dejection: "Even if you don't understand the ins and outs, there's nothing to be upset about. After all, it took me a long time to learn it!"
Wendy and Charlene were shocked, trembling as they looked at the gloomy aura emanating from Lucy: "Are you serious about what you're saying...?!"
"What...are you...saying?!"
"No...nothing..."
Although they didn't know why Lucy suddenly exuded a terrifying killing intent, the three of them wisely kept quiet. Only Natsu was still dumbfounded, thinking that Lucy really hadn't heard him clearly, and recklessly tried to repeat himself: "They said... Ugh... What are you doing, Gray?!"
"Idiot, shut up at a time like this!"
Kira watched the group's merriment with interest, then suddenly remembered something and turned to say, "By the way, Erza, there's something I need to tell you!"
"Hmm? What is it?"
"Bishka seems to have said she wants you to be her bridesmaid!"
Erza's face flushed red again, and she stammered, "R-really? Bridesmaid...?! I...I...can I?"
Kira looked at her, her breathing rapid and her expression helpless, and after a moment of silence, said, "I knew you would react this way, so I told her to go back and think about it some more!"
Erza froze instantly!
"You...you...you bastard!! What have you done?!"
Erza, realizing what was happening, immediately leaned close to Kira's ear and started yelling. Fortunately, Kira was prepared and had already covered his ear with his fingers with a blank expression. He only let go of his fingers after Erza had yelled enough.
"If you really want to be a bridesmaid, why don't you just talk to her yourself?"
"Hmph! You said it..."
"But I remember this should be your first time being a bridesmaid. You haven't done this kind of thing before, have you?"
"So what?"
"Given your condition just now, are you sure you won't make a mistake? It would be terrible if you ruined the wedding! It's such a important wedding for them!"
"Ah? This..." Erza lowered her head again, her face flushed, and she was very nervous: "It really is my first time... but... but! I'm Bisca's most trusted companion! She'll definitely invite me, right?! Right? Right?"
She anxiously looked at the others, hoping to get some affirmation from Natsu and the others, but these guys admired Kira as a groomsman, but didn't care much about who would be the bridesmaid.
"Anyone can be a bridesmaid, right?"
"If I'm a bridesmaid, can I eat a whole fish feast?"
“Happy, only girls can be bridesmaids! Besides Erza, there’s Mira in the guild, and…” Gray’s mind flashed through the names of Lucy, Juvia, Wendy, Cana, Lisanna, Levy, Abba Grin, and even Charlene, before he finally said, “I think Mira is more suitable!”
"Absolutely not!!!" Erza shouted as if she had made a momentous decision, "I have to be Bisca's bridesmaid! I've decided, I'm going to tell her right now!"
After saying that, he turned and ran away, leaving Natsu, Gray, and Happy looking at each other in bewilderment.
Why did she suddenly become so agitated?
"do not know……"
"Does Erza also want to eat a whole fish feast?"
Faced with such an advanced question, Natsu immediately sought help from others: "Hey! Lucy! What's wrong with Erza?"
"I don't know! Don't ask me! I'm such an emotional idiot, I don't understand! Humph!" Lucy turned and left angrily.
Natsu and Happy exchanged a glance, confused but impressed, and quickly chased after her: "Lucy, don't be sad! We told you not to worry about these things, we won't laugh at you..."
After Gray was also dragged away by Juvia, only Kira, who had been there from the beginning, and Wendy and Charlotte, who were standing there dumbfounded, remained on the scene.
"Are those guys all emotional idiots?" Xia Lulu retorted mercilessly.
"But it's very interesting, isn't it?"
"Uh...hehehe..."
Faced with Kira's question, Wendy could only offer an awkward laugh. Having grown up under Grandine's tutelage, she had developed excellent manners and would never do something as impolite as mocking someone for having low emotional intelligence.
"Hey, little Wendy!"
"What's wrong, Kira-san?" Wendy looked at Kira with a puzzled expression.
