However, when they looked around the entire Deer Hunter's Restaurant, they found that almost everyone was reading, and no one seemed to be acting strangely.

Just as they were wondering what was going on, a voice rang out from behind them.

"Hey, isn't that the Traveler? What a coincidence."

Paimon and Ying turned around and saw Wendy greeting them while holding a deluxe edition of "Honkai Impact 3rd".

"A street performer? Didn't you die?"

Paimon asked instinctively.

"what?"

Wendy was taken aback and said, "I'm alive and well, aren't I? How could this be so cruel? They're cursing me to die. Without a glass of cider, I'm definitely not in a good mood."

"Did we hear wrong?"

Paimon scratched the back of his head.

"I think so..."

Ying said.

"What exactly happened?"

Wendy asked, puzzled.

So Paimon told Wendy what he had just heard.

"You must have misheard... I'm just glad you're alright, street performer."

Paimon's eyes widened in shock as he looked at the wooden box in Wendy's hand. "Wait a minute, a busker? You can actually afford a deluxe edition?"

"Paimon, that's a hurtful thing to say. As the most skilled bard in all of Teyvat, isn't it only natural that you can afford a book?"

Wendy said.

"But didn't you only have twenty rubles left yesterday?"

Paimon tilted his head and asked, "Yesterday you asked Grandpa Lu for credit, but he refused."

"Uh, I forgot you guys were here yesterday too."

Wendy scratched herself.

Looking at the back of his head somewhat embarrassedly, he said, "After drinking yesterday, I still had twenty yuan left. I thought it would be enough to buy a book, but I didn't expect that Fang Qiu would release a hardcover edition, which also includes animation, a lot of illustrations, and a card-drawing discount coupon. So, I used some special means."

"Special methods?"

Paimon's eyes widened, and he asked, "Street performer, did you steal this book?"

"Steal? How could that be? Paimon, don't try to slander me out of thin air."

Wendy quickly looked around and breathed a sigh of relief when she found that no one was looking in her direction.

"How did it come about?"

Paimon asked.

"Is it too much to ask for a small reward to bring coolness to the novel lovers who are queuing up in the sweltering summer heat?"

Wendy smiled and said.

"Bring coolness? What do you mean?"

Paimon was somewhat puzzled.

"Commonly known as reselling cold drinks at high prices."

Wendy said with a smile.

"As expected of you..."

Paimon paused for a long while before speaking.

"Traveler, I'm already in such a miserable state, could you please... have lunch today?"

Wendy blinked and said, "Traveler, you don't want me to miss lunch, do you? I can use a 10% discount coupon to pay for it."

"Then I'll treat you to Paimon's lunch."

Ying said.

"Can't!"

Paimon immediately protested.

They chatted and laughed all the way to the deer hunters.

The Deer Hunter's business was booming, and many novel lovers sat down there. Luckily, someone left a table, and they managed to snag a seat.

After ordering three cold drinks, they sat down at the table, opened the box containing Fang Qiu's new book "Collapse," and took out the book itself.

"The workmanship is really beautiful."

Wendy exclaimed, "No wonder it's so expensive."

"Speaking of which, for street performers, the deluxe edition is so expensive, why don't you just buy the regular edition?"

Paimon asked.

"The deluxe edition has many more illustrations. Although Miss Fang Qiu's literary talent is second only to mine, the best bard in Teyvat, it is naturally better to have illustrations to help with understanding."

Wendy sighed and said, "After all, there are many bidders for the storytelling of Angel's Gift. The only way to secure the contract is to improve the quality of the storytelling."

As they chatted, they inquired about the cover, which depicted several girls cooking in a kitchen.

"Speaking of which, this purple-haired girl seems to resemble Ying a bit."

Paimon said.

"They do look somewhat alike."

Upon hearing Paimon's words, Ying was taken aback for a moment, and then said,

"That's true. I wonder how she will react when she sees this character in the book."

Wendy said with a smile.

After exchanging a few words, they opened the cover, where a simple sentence appeared on the title page.

"Fight for all that is good in the world."

"It is indeed a simple yet powerful statement."

Wendy said.

"With this sentence and this cover, it feels like this is going to be a very heartwarming story."

Paimon was somewhat expectant.

So they turned to the cover together, and the story picked up where the promotional animation left off, beginning after Kiana jumped off the ship.

After seeing Kiana retaliate against her allies, stomp over a drone, and report the drone's damage to Colonel Himeko, Wendy couldn't help but smile and say, "She really is a free spirit, sunny and easygoing. I like her."

"I like it too, but traveler, this unpredictable personality reminds me of someone, what about you?"

Paimon asked.

"You mean walnuts?"

Ying asked.

"Yes, they both have very eccentric personalities."

Paimon said.

"I guess Fang Qiu was based on Hu Tao's personality."

Ying smiled and said.

"It seems that the girl named Hu Tao also has this interesting soul."

Wendy said with a smile.

They continued looking down, and when they saw Mei, Paimon spoke again.

"Mei's personality is not like Ying's, but more like Fang Qiu's, a gentle and obedient good girl."

Chapter 475 Shouldn't I be an important character?

Before I knew it, it was afternoon.

The summer breeze blew gently through Mondstadt, and under the parasols of the Deer Hunter's outdoor seating area, Wendy and Paimon bickered about whether the Wendy in the book was based on Wendy.

Wendy's argument is that although they are of different genders and have different personalities, they share the same name, and Wendy's power is also wind.

More importantly, Wendy also craves freedom of movement.

It shares the same theme as Mondstadt.

Paimon, however, held the opposite view to Wendy; she didn't want to see the street performers so smug.

Ying sat to the side, drinking refreshing juicy fruit juice, listening to their bickering while reading a book.

As time goes by, the plot gradually unfolds through Wendy and Paimon's casual conversations.

The story then moves to the point where Kiana, Himeko, and Theresa travel together to Anti-Entropy to rescue people.

After some twists and turns, Mei and Bronya were rescued.

In order to avoid harming her companions, Bronya chose to burn her own chip.

"The spirit of sacrificing oneself rather than harming one's comrades is truly admirable."

"

When Wendy heard Theresa say that Bronya still had hope of recovery, she breathed a sigh of relief. After all, if Fang Qiu was going to kill Bronya, he wouldn't do it so early without much emotional buildup.

Moreover, if it cannot be recovered, the emotions will be lost as the story progresses.

Therefore, Bronya is most likely to be fine.

unless……

Unless Fang Qiu can write something even more incisive later on.

"Traveler, if one day I need to take action against you like Bronya did, I will make the same choice as her."
