"【Establishment】—Arrogance"

The chain on the right side of the coffin broke, the coffin lid shattered, and the silver-white arm guards with gold trim fell one after another onto Abel's raised right arm.

"【Establishment】—Anger"

The coffin on the left shattered, and a breastplate with a hideous shape fell and attached itself to Abel's body.

"【Establishment】—Laziness"

Abel's back

The coffin fell silent, and the gray cloak rolled up without a sound, covering Abel's ferocious breastplate and sacred right arm guard.

“I am listening, I choose… forgiveness.”

Abel lowered his eyelids slightly, and his raised right arm fell toward the blasphemous pursuer.

The world fell into complete silence in that instant. A huge hole appeared in the clouds above the Blasphemous Tracker's head. The Blasphemous Tracker's enormous and viscous body bulged and exploded as if struck by some terrible force. The silver-gray torrent missed its target and flew further away, creating more folds and breaking down into more lines.

Chapter Ninety-Five: I just didn't want to use them as fodder for after-dinner conversation.

The bottle crashed to the ground with a thud, and tiny cracks began to spread upwards from the part that first touched the ground, eventually shattering into pieces.

Valkyrie stared blankly in the direction where the torrent brought by Gungnir had disappeared.

"It's a failure..."

Because the target was destroyed before it hit, the sure-fire shot lost its direction. But the gun that was thrown could not be retrieved. So what would this shot hit?

No one can be sure, but...

"Great! This way, no one will know I used Gungnir!!!"

Valkyrie raised her hands above her head and cheered.

Missing the target means nothing happened! As long as she doesn't admit it, no one will know she used up her Gungnir first. She can then trick her best friend into using up her Gungnir, and then pretend to be incredulous and accuse her. Then no one will know that she has already used up her gun!

"Pfft—"

Li Yi coughed, covering her mouth with her right hand, and her knees buckled, almost causing her to kneel on the ground.

He didn't care that the gun he had thrown, bearing numerous risks, had missed its target. What mattered was that the blasphemous pursuer had been eliminated. Whether it was a coincidence or intentional, he no longer cared.

Li Yili shook off the blood from her hands, raised her left hand to wipe away the blood and tears flowing from the corner of her eyes, gritted her teeth, and staggered towards Guo Weidun's direction.

"Hey! Li Yili! What else can you do there! Come help me figure out a way to trick the other Valkyries into using Gungnir!"

Valkyrie stretched out her arms and waved them up and down, shouting at Li Yili's receding figure, but Li Yili seemed not to hear anything and grew further and further away.

"what--"

Valkyrie let out a long sigh and lowered her hands.

"Now that things have come to this, what are you expecting...?"

At the entrance of the Sheep Village building, El and other executives stood in front of the sealed glass doors, staring blankly in the direction of the Guoweidun Temple.

"The gods we summoned... have been destroyed?" Abu Jang looked completely bewildered.

"What are you thinking about!" Joel cursed, raising his hand to slap Abu Jean on the back of the head. "Can't you see those disgusting guys still wandering around outside? The séance hasn't even started yet!"

“Oh right, right, right—” Abu Jean nodded vigorously, clutching the back of his head.

The other Cloud Clan executives and members were also discussing amongst themselves, but El held his chin up and frowned deeply.

"Executor El, what are you thinking about?" Abu Jean asked curiously when El remained silent.

"I'm just wondering what the true nature of a séance is?" El's eyes narrowed slightly. "To summon a god? To break the existing balance, how do you do that?"

"Uh... just like that, a really powerful... creature fell down with a 'poof' sound?" Abu Jean gestured with his hand.

"How could Lord Levi Esther Richard's plan have been completed in such a hasty manner!"

Just as El raised his voice and was about to continue scolding Abu Jean, a strange voice entered his ears.

It sounded like insects crawling across the ground, along with the popping of bubbles...

El turned his head toward the direction of the Temple of Guweiton, a slow smile spreading across his face.

"It has begun... [Séance of the Gods]—"

A wave of black, viscous liquid crashed down, surging like a mad beast along the streets of Guoweiton, which resembled a withered arm. It slammed into the struggling fat men on the streets, who were powerless to dodge and were swallowed up by the viscous black liquid.

"The ceremony has begun! Everything is going exactly as that person predicted!"

El spread his arms wide, and the Cloud Clan and Cloud Clan Executives behind him raised their hands above their heads and cheered.

"Levi's Estée Richard!"

“Mr. Richard…”

Li Yili, carrying a backpack, suddenly stopped in her tracks and stiffly turned her head to look. In the dimly lit alley, Yolan was standing there, holding someone, but that person was covered by a quilt and could not be identified.

"I know that at this point... saying such things is really shameless..."

"What are you talking about?" Li Yili took a deep breath, slowly lowered her hands, and forced a smile. "Ah... are you talking about the carriage company? I've already mentioned it, I'm waiting for your answer."

Yoran lowered his head, standing in the dimly lit alley, his shoulders trembling slightly.

"What does this even mean... You've never noticed my repeated betrayals, from beginning to end, it was all just me... entertaining myself... But I'm at peace with myself now..."

Yoram staggered out of the alley.

As they emerged, the thick quilt gradually fell away, and he and she were slowly illuminated by the light.

Li Yili's eyes slowly widened, and the light within them gradually faded away.

Yoram's face looked like it was crawling with worms, his skin bulging and constantly writhing. Yoram's neck was swollen like a bucket, and with each step forward, the flesh on his neck jiggled. In his arms was his wife, Amya.

Unlike Yolan, Amya's face did not show any unusual changes, but Amya's belly was abnormally swollen, and her skin was stretched to the point of being almost transparent. Under the strange starlight, something seemed to be wriggling in that transparent skin.

Amya, however, seemed to be enduring some extreme pain, her eyes tightly shut.

"You...you bastard!!!"

Li Yili angrily walked towards Yolan, but before she could, Yolan had already knelt down on the ground with a thud, his thick, pale yellow fat bursting through his pants and flowing onto the floor.

"I'm pregnant..."

"Help, please help us..."

Yoran lifted his face, which was now just a few empty holes compressed by fat, and clear liquid dripped down, landing on Amya's stomach.

"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have done that..."

"I didn't want this, I never imagined my child would be born like this..."

The hand, now just a mass of flesh, pointed to Amya's belly, its skin stretched almost transparent.

"I just... want the future..."

"I just……"

Li Yili slowly raised his right hand, passed it through the opening of his backpack, his fingers traced across the leaflets he had drawn, and gripped the butt of the shotgun, his fingers tightening little by little.

"Splash—"

Countless colorful leaflets announcing the revival of the Gowerton Temple fluttered in the air, while cold gun barrels hung low, aimed at Yolan, who was continuing to fatten up. Thick, black liquid crashed through the house and swirled toward them, but Li Yili stood motionless, as if she couldn't see the surging liquid.

Yoram is dead, and he will pay the price for his folly and greed.

Amya, as Joram's wife, was also going to die, because she was the price Joram paid, bearing the burden of his dark greed and being forced to nurture that darkness.

Joram's child is dying; he or she is merely an innocent life caught in the crossfire, born and raised under Joram's pathetic greed. His or her life is nothing more than a byproduct of that greed.

Seeing the pathetic scene before him, Li Yili finally realized that his relationship with Yolan was not good enough for him to cry or be angry for Yolan.

They were just familiar strangers. He didn't even know what Yoran's house looked like, and he had no noteworthy memories of Yoran. In his eyes, Yoran was no different from the other residents of Guoweidun.

One day, he will forget all the emotions he felt from witnessing this scene, because he was ultimately just a bystander.

One day, he will use this incident as a topic of conversation after dinner, to pass the time with friends he knows, and to strengthen their relationships.

He has already seen that day.

"I'm just envious..."

"I want one too—"

A flyer fell from Li Yili's dark eyes, depicting the bustling prosperity of Guoweidun.

"boom--"

Yolan's swollen upper body burst open, and pale yellow fat and flesh were scattered all over the ground in a radial pattern. The word "future" on Li Yili's chest was stained with an extremely glaring red.

Li Yili, expressionless, forcefully swung the shotgun. The spent cartridges ejected, the gun was chambered, and the still-smoking barrel was pointed at Amya.

"boom--"

Bright red blood splattered on Li Yili's face and slid down her cheeks.

The metal cartridge case fell to the ground, and Li Yili, expressionless, pointed the gun at Amya's stomach. Beneath the skin, which was stretched almost transparent, a dark shadow was writhing rapidly, struggling to be born.

"what……"

"boom--"

Li Yili's right hand, which was holding the shotgun, fell down, and the pungent smell of gunpowder lingered around her nose.

This way, at least he can be assured that he won't use the Yoran family as gossip after dinner and talk about it with others in a nonchalant manner.

Thick, black liquid rained down, and Li Yili raised her eyes and gave the liquid the middle finger.

"boom--"

Chapter Ninety-Six: The corners of the temple are no longer safe; greedy thieves will never have peace.

There was no pain, no blurring of consciousness, not even a sense of impact; the surging black liquid simply passed directly through Li Yili's body.

Is this black liquid an illusion, or am I the one hallucinating?

Or is it simply that I was ignored by these liquids because I didn't ingest any contaminants?

Li Yili no longer wanted to think about this matter.

The black liquid swept away the bodies of the Yoran family, even tearing away the blood that belonged to the Yoran family from his body. The words "The Future is the Best" on his white T-shirt were extremely glaring in the surging black tide.
