After building the portal, Senju entered Hell. He then built another portal in Hell and stepped inside. However, what appeared before him was still a city. He had to go back and open the portal again. After trying several times, Senju finally found a suitable location.
This is a small hill, covered with bare soil and rocks, devoid of any signs of life, decorated only by some abandoned man-made objects and snow. Looking to the other side, you can see the sea not far away, making it seem like a better place to explore.
After contacting Grik for a while, Senju told him about the situation. He saw the two people in the mirror with speechless expressions. Senju also felt that he might have made a mistake, letting Nephren fly for so long for nothing.
Glick then checked Nephren's location and found that she was not far from Senju. He decided to let her rest for a while and then go to a new location to meet up.
Thousand Hands then returned to William's side, sending the two back to the small space. He then detached the bottom of the new portal from the city, built a small platform, and then assembled the city.
Seeing that the surroundings had suddenly become empty, Senju quickly entered the portal, passed through Hell, and arrived on the ground before releasing the two.
After looking at his new surroundings, Greg was stunned for a moment. "This place looks a lot like the world on the ground. There are no plants here."
After a moment of reflection, he began collecting new samples, while Senju started digging in the soil, and William became interested in the discarded items and started searching for them.
After a while, William ran over with a machine gun. "What's this for? It looks a bit like a gun."
Chapter 229 Airport
“Hmm,” Greg joined in the examination, “It seems to be several guns pieced together, which increases its power. It’s a really good design.”
"Well, this is also a type of gun. It seems to be able to fire several thousand bullets per minute," Senju said after thinking for a while, but he didn't remember the exact number.
“Thousands of rounds?!” Greg’s tone changed. “Is it that powerful? A regular gun can only fire six or seven rounds a minute at most, and that’s already considered very powerful. Thousands of rounds is just too much.”
Despite saying that, he still carefully picked up the machine gun, saying, "If we had this kind of technology, dealing with beasts would be much easier."
"This is usually installed on aircraft or vehicles, since there are still issues with weight and ammunition," Qian Shou explained briefly. Grik realized what was going on. He had no problem when he first picked it up, but after a few minutes he felt like he couldn't lift it anymore. It was indeed not suitable for solo combat, and the ammunition consumption was terrifying. It seemed that this could only be used on airships.
After pondering for a while, Greg started looking for things in the nearby waste, while Senju connected the door to the other world and then added soil to the space.
By the time Nephren flew over, Grik had already found a huge pile of items. Looking at these items, he seemed quite pleased. "Ah, it looks like I can get a few million now."
“Hmm? Greg,” William put his arm around his shoulder and smiled at him. Greg looked at William’s gaze and said somewhat reluctantly, “Don’t worry, there will be some for you.”
William was satisfied and released Greik. Then everyone put the items into the space, and the three of them went in. Thousand Hands also stepped into the portal. After a moment of dizziness, they returned to the secret warehouse, and the exploration was finally over.
After returning here, Grik asked Thousand Hands to transport the items to the dock. Then a group of orcs put the items on the airship, and William and Nephren followed, seemingly to report to their superiors, leaving Thousand Hands idle here.
Feeling bored, Senju began to build a large platform. Following the instructions of Number Six, he built a platform large enough to house and launch spaceplanes.
Several hours later, he finally finished building it. By then, many children were already playing there, including Yuri. Chito stood to the side watching with Nigoran.
"Hey, what does Senju do?" Chito asked, watching Senju walk away.
As soon as she came over, she asked, and Nigolan, who was next to her, also looked over. "This shouldn't be the playground, although it looks very flat."
“Yes, this is for placing the aircraft,” Senju explained the purpose of the platform to the two of them. Then he remembered that he hadn’t seen Ishii for a long time. “By the way, where did Ishii go? I’ve only seen her during meals these past few days.”
"Ishii is researching airships, and it seems he still wants to develop airplanes," Chito explained to him about Ishii's recent situation. After learning about the airships, she had been going back and forth between the dock and the library. Whenever she saw an airship landing, she would take pictures and draw diagrams, and then ask about the technology on board.
Fortunately, the people who came here knew that this was a special facility and mistakenly thought that Ishii was one of them, so they told Ishii some common knowledge, which helped her learn a lot.
Hearing how hard Ishii was studying, Senju felt quite ashamed. However, looking at Yuri beside her, she felt that she was still quite capable of learning, and could be considered better than some but not as bad as others.
After asking about Ishii's location, Senju learned that she had just returned from the docks and was currently drawing blueprints at the library. Senju thought for a moment and then went to find her.
Upon arriving at the library, Senju saw Ishii engrossed in his work, hunched over a table, so focused that Senju didn't even notice him working for quite a while.
After watching for a while, Senju noticed that Ishii, who had been quite indifferent, now had an excited and joyful expression on her face. It seemed that she had found a goal to strive for. After a while, she finished her work and looked up to rest for a bit.
After raising his head, Ishii saw Senju to the side. The two looked at each other quietly. Senju saw a vitality and energy in her emerald green eyes that was different from before. It seemed that she had completely changed.
The two slowly leaned closer and kissed. They didn't separate for quite a while. If they hadn't known they were in a library, the consequences would have been unimaginable. Afterward, they stayed close together.
"Hey, Ishii, are you satisfied with this place?" Senju asked, looking at her. Ishii nodded without hesitation. "Yes, of course I'm satisfied. There's a lot of knowledge about flight here, even that people can fly, and there are many people I can discuss and study with. This is my dream place."
"That's good," Senju said, relieved. Then she remembered what she wanted to do. "By the way, I built a helipad outside. It's just the right size to put an airplane and a spaceship there. Why don't you go and take a look?"
"Really?" Ishii stood up excitedly, then paced around for a while before saying, "I've recently learned about airships and need enough space to modify the aircraft I've built."
“Hmm, I’ll build a workshop big enough next to it,” Thousand Hands said, then remembered something, “By the way, the airship seems to need a magic furnace, would you like one?”
“No need,” Ishii shook his head. “I don’t have a deep understanding of aviation knowledge here yet. I need to study for a while. I’ll try it out in the next few days to see if the corresponding modifications will work on the aircraft.”
“I see. After you’ve mastered the language and writing here, I’ll arrange for you to study at a school,” Qian Shou said with a smile. After all, systematic learning makes it easier to improve one’s knowledge. “Now, let’s go out and see airplanes and spaceships together.”
“Hmm,” Ishii pushed up his glasses, “Although the language here is troublesome, I’ll learn it quickly.”
The two then went outside, where the tarmac was full of children. After Senju told Nigolan about her plan, Nigolan told the children to move aside, but they still watched curiously from the sidelines.
Then, surrounded by a crowd, Thousand Hands placed the spaceplane and two helicopters on it. The spaceplane didn't look like it could fly on its own, but Number Six had already explained that it was just the exterior, and the system was supporting it inside.
Chapter 230 Clues to Creation
The entire spaceplane is several hundred meters long, entirely black, with two short wings on top and four huge jet nozzles at the rear, making it look quite strange.
The way to enter is the same as on a regular airplane. After the order is given, a door opens on the fuselage and a ladder is lowered down.
The girls around were quite surprised, circling around the plane to examine it. Nigolan asked curiously, "Is this your airship? It looks so strange."
"I guess so, but we usually call it an airplane. It's extremely fast," Senju said, pushing Ishii forward. "Ishii is someone who specializes in airplane research on our side. He once built an airplane himself and knows a lot about it."
“I see,” Nigolan turned her gaze to Ishii, surprised that the usually taciturn woman was such a skilled technician. “Ms. Ishii, could you please explain the performance of these aircraft?”
Hearing Nigolan's question, Ishii was very happy, and then began to teach Nigolan, from the principles of airplane flight to the differences between various types of airplanes, from low-speed airplanes to supersonic airplanes, and finally even bringing up cosmic speed. Senju could only maintain a superficial smile while watching Nigolan.
He shook his head and ran to the side like the little girls around him. Only Chito remained listening to the lecture, while Yuri, seeing Senju building a house, also ran over to help.
By evening, the two had finally built a huge empty house with three walls and a roof. They hadn't put anything in yet, so they decided to deal with it the next day. They should go eat now.
Thinking about food, the two looked to the side and found that Nigolan had already run away. Ishii was there studying airplanes and explaining aerospace knowledge to the little girls who surrounded him, making the little girls' eyes sparkle.
Watching Ishii train pilots who could fly on their own, Senju couldn't help but shake his head. After all, he had heard that these little fairies could fly once they reached a certain age and would also be able to use powerful weapons, making them practically humanoid fighter jets.
After a while, the dinner bell rang, and everyone stopped what they were doing and went to the cafeteria to eat. When Senju led a group of people into the cafeteria, they saw that William and Nephren had already returned.
After greeting Nephren, Senju sat down next to William and asked about the follow-up, "What were the findings of the investigation?"
"Well, I'm not really sure either. I was just asked a few questions by the military police and then sent back," William said nonchalantly. "But Glick's report has been taken very seriously. It should be being communicated to the higher-ups now."
“After all, he’s a professional. He knows reports best,” Thousand Hands replied after thinking for a moment. He knew from his conversation with Glick that Glick had always been doing exploration work. Although the goal was the surface world, Glick, who had planned the whole process, was much more reliable than a few people who were just there to make up the numbers.
After chatting for a while, the two started eating. Then, Senju began to learn more advanced ways to use the Holy Sword from William, but William seemed hesitant to speak.
"What's wrong? Am I not doing well in my studies?" Thousand Hands asked. William scratched his head and said, "You know, a hero needs a certain background, but it seems you and I don't have any talent, and you're not very focused when you practice. I guess fighting with a sword won't be very useful."
“I see,” Senju said, knowing her own situation. She only had a slight craving for fantasy power, but once the initial excitement wore off, she lost much of her motivation. “By the way, William, do you know of any way to gain immense power without effort and without any side effects?”
“Your idea is good, and I didn’t have it either,” William glanced at Senju before continuing, “but the foundation of sorcery is distortion and far-fetched interpretation. You have the factors, or background, that allow you to use sorcery to become stronger.”
"What is it?" Senju asked curiously. William explained, "In the past, there were star gods and earth gods in this world. My master was a star god. He said he was an 'outsider,' which is the same as you coming to this other world. Also, star gods have unique living spaces called 'starships,' which are similar to your space. So, you can use magic to distort your concept into that of a star god."
"Oh, that sounds really powerful," Senju said excitedly, looking at William. "How do you cast this spell? Can it be activated automatically?"
“Well, I’m just guessing. I’m not too clear on the specific process. Only a great sorcerer can carry it out,” William shrugged, then saw Thousand Hands looking disgusted. “But the Star God is indeed very strong. He is the legendary god who created all things.”
"Hmm? Creation? I do have an idea," Senju said, recalling his own creation mode. "Looks like I have to give it a try."
“The heroes of the past went through a lot of trouble to kill all three Star Gods,” William said, recounting the hardships of the past. “However, Star Gods have no concept of death; they can only be put to sleep by shattering their souls.”
"It just sounds impressive, doesn't it?" Senju looked at William speechlessly. In Creative Mode, you wouldn't even get hurt.
Then William scratched his head and said, "But I feel she's very strong. Even the hero died with her. Back then, in order to defeat the Earth God, who was weaker than the Star God, I used up a lot of holy swords and forbidden spells to make him sleep for a hundred years. He's probably recovered by now."
"If that's the case, then the Star God should have been resurrected, right? And what's the relationship between the Star God and the Earth God?" Thousand Hands asked after listening for a while. Judging from William's words, the Star God seemed to be stronger.
“The Earth God is a subordinate of the Star God. Although he also has powerful abilities, the Star God is still stronger,” William seemed to be lost in memories of the past. “However, no one knows what is the current situation of the Star God that Lila killed.”
"Is that so?" Senju said, then began to think. She could transform into the Star God mode through magic, and by the way, Chito and the others could transform into the Earth God mode through the system's connection. That way, they could ascend to the heavens in one step, but she didn't know how to do it.
After pondering for a while, Number Six showed a progress bar labeled Star God Mode/Creative Mode. The progress bar was already three-quarters full, and it looked like it would be activated soon.
Chapter 231 Magic and Life
Seeing the progress bar appear, Thousand Hands was overjoyed. This meant that she didn't need to go to the sorcerer anymore; the system could proceed automatically. However, when she asked about the remaining conditions for Number Six, she surprisingly replied that she didn't know, because the information about the Star God had not been fully analyzed yet. Only after the analysis was complete could the progress bar be full.
After Senju finished listening
Slightly disappointed, he then started chatting with William, learning some information about the Star God from him, but the progress bar didn't change.
After chatting for a while, William went back to rest, while Senju moved all the items from his original room to the new room and rested there.
The next day, Senju and Ishii began to renovate the empty workshop, and Chito also came over to help set up a place next to it where cars could be repaired.
The three of them then started tinkering in the workshop. The two of them carried a lot of parts and machines. After working together for a whole afternoon, they finally built a workshop that looked usable. Inside, there was half an airplane made by Ishii. Afterwards, she set up her small house to the side as her research room.
Looking at the hut, Senju suddenly remembered that hers was still in the sky. The teleportation was so sudden that she had forgotten about it for a moment and didn't know if it had fallen.
Senju racked his brains and realized that the important things there were food and a bunch of parts whose purpose he didn't know, while the important things were all in his own pack. He didn't care much about them and decided to go back next time to see if he could find them.
However, Senju couldn't help with the subsequent wiring and machine adjustments, so he had the two of them install it there while he left behind a bunch of levers and departed.
Bored and not wanting to practice swordsmanship, Senju watched the little ones play, and Yuri was having a lot of fun among them.
William was also watching from the side. He was very nervous because of a previous accident, and he would always be there to watch the children whenever they were playing to prevent accidents from happening.
"Hey, William," Senju greeted him from the side, "You seem to be in a bad mood these past few days. Is it because Chtholly isn't here?"
“Well, I’m a little worried,” William said, his face still grim. Only when the little girls looked over did he manage a forced smile. “I don’t know what your magic is like, but the magic here is very dangerous.”
"To be honest, my knowledge of magic here comes from what you guys have told me. I only know that it can strengthen the body and enhance attack power, but I don't know anything beyond that," Thousand Hands shrugged. "Besides, as I've said before, my magic is just an ability, like eating and drinking, and it won't pose much of a danger."
“That’s wonderful,” William exclaimed for a moment, then asked, “Senju, how’s your magic training going lately?”
"Haha, the weather has been nice these past few days," Senju said, looking at the white clouds in the sky, trying to change the subject. But seeing William's serious expression, she had no choice but to reply, "Well, the result of my recent training is that my whole hand can glow."
As she spoke, Senju channeled her magic into her hand, which emitted a faint glow. It seemed useless, and Senju herself felt it was useless. "It's probably because I haven't been practicing lately."
“No, your cultivation is progressing normally,” William’s eyes seemed to gleam with a faint light. “I’ve only just realized that your life force is very strong, which may be the reason why you can’t increase your magic power quickly.”
"What does this have to do with anything? Isn't it true that the stronger one's vitality, the easier it is to cultivate magic?" Senju thought he had misheard and quickly asked.
“That’s not the case. It should be said that it’s the exact opposite. The stronger the life force, the less magic power there is,” William shook his head. “I’ve only talked about the basics of cultivating magic power before. So what is the method? The principle is to send the fire called ‘magic power’ to the heart, let it burn vigorously inside, and then send the power obtained outwards for use.”
“The heart? So magic is such a dangerous thing?” Thousand Hands was a little hesitant to try it, then heard William continue to explain, “In this process, a certain amount of heat is generated, which puts a burden on the body. The life force in the body will suppress this, thus determining the upper limit of magic power that each race can use.”
"I see," Senju thought for a moment, tried it out, and then felt himself get a little warmer, but there was no further reaction, which made him slightly disappointed. "Isn't there a way to use tremendous power in an instant?"
“Well, I guess so. If there were creatures that had given up their will to survive, they would probably use a power that other races couldn’t match,” William said, looking at the little guys with a somewhat somber expression. “However, that uncontrollable power would go out of control in an instant and blow themselves and their enemies to smithereens.”
"It feels like a bomb," Senju said, somewhat speechlessly. "Oh well, I haven't given up on surviving yet, so I'll just focus on training for now."
"Well, don't worry. At the current rate of cultivation, it will probably take about thirty or forty years to reach the upper limit of human magic power," William said, trying to dampen Senju's enthusiasm.
Senju, however, didn't care at all. "It doesn't matter. I'm just curious about this anyway. As long as I can cultivate, that's fine. If it's too dangerous, I'll give up."
"Oh dear, Senju really loves to slack off," Nigoran's voice came from the side. "Do you want me to teach you how to fight using magic, bare-handed?"
