However, the scattered rainbow seeds still disappeared into space and time. Perhaps they fell into some nameless space and time, where they grew strong and eventually made the world different.
"Brother Heath!" A familiar voice rang out. Heath knew who it was without even looking. He was a little surprised. What had happened all this time? How come he had just run into Mr. Giovanni and now he was running into Satoshi?
Sure enough, Ash ran over, still wearing his signature outfit. However, Hiss noticed a red armband on Ash's arm, and Hiss immediately knew what was going on: Ash had come to volunteer, and as a junior volunteer at that.
After the disaster in Fuchsia City, many people came to help, including volunteers from all walks of life. Among them, the youth volunteers were a unique group. Their arrival was to cultivate these children's sense of social responsibility, and the tasks they were assigned were absolutely safe. In addition, a Champion-level trainer provided full protection. All of this was to ensure that the next generation of the League could grow up healthily. After all, how can flowers in a greenhouse grow up if they have never experienced wind and rain?
The alliance's initiative has been well-received, as the safety of children is guaranteed and there's no need to worry. It's also beneficial for children's growth. Volunteering in disaster areas and helping those suffering is a form of spiritual training, so many people signed up. The alliance always randomly selects those who haven't participated before, and Xiao Zhi was unexpectedly chosen this time. He's really lucky.
Chapter 1094 Even Sakaki has moments of inner conflict.
"Ash, are you here to volunteer?" Heath looked at Ash with amusement. Ash's outfit was undeniably classic, but what really caught the eye was his backpack. It looked like it could hold a lot, and Heath wondered what was inside. Heath found Ash's backpack quite peculiar, as it always seemed to be packed with things. In this world, there were space backpacks, but they were extremely expensive, unaffordable for most families. However, Heath figured Ash's father could afford one, since he didn't seem like someone who was short of money. So, Ash might actually be traveling with a dimensional backpack in the future.
"Oh! Brother Heath, you're in Fuchsia City too? I thought I was seeing things when I first saw you." Ash smiled happily, and then a few volunteers ran up to him. There were three of them in total. Heath could tell from how familiar Ash was with them that these three must be Ash's teammates. After all, this volunteer team was actually divided into groups, so it wasn't strange that Ash had his own teammates. The only thing that made Heath curious was one of the girls. She looked somewhat familiar, but Heath couldn't remember who she was.
Ash introduced Heath to his teammates, but before they could say more than a few words, they were pulled away. Before leaving, the kids politely bowed to Heath to apologize, because they had just received a mission and had something to take care of, so they could only come back for dinner later. Heath didn't mind and just waved with a smile.
"Heath, you're really popular with the kids." Mr. Sakaki had already finished eating; he'd eaten the whole roast duck, which surprised Heath. After all, Mr. Sakaki was quite old. Humans generally have the best appetite when they're seventeen or eighteen—the so-called "growing up eating their parents out of house and home." But afterwards, their appetite gradually decreases. Like a roast duck, if you give it to a growing child, they can finish it all by themselves. But if you give it to a middle-aged person, they'd be lucky to finish half of it.
However, this is not absolute. After all, some people may be exceptionally gifted and can still eat a lot even in middle age. Of course, Amamiya Ken is not such a person. He stopped eating at buffets after graduating from university because he ate too little and couldn't get his money's worth.
"I'm just more familiar with Ash." Heath smiled. Heath didn't think he was a child-friendly person. It has to be said that there may really be such a thing as aura or affinity in this world. Anyway, some people are just easy for children to like, while others can scare children to death even without doing anything. Moreover, children are also given some mysterious attributes. For example, in the horror stories that Heath used to read, children could see things that adults couldn't see, such as ghosts and such.
"Mr. Giovanni, don't you plan to get married?" Heath asked curiously. He remembered that in some versions, Giovanni actually had a child, and then something happened to that child. However, the Giovanni that Heath knew was already thirty years old and still not married, and there hadn't even been any scandals. But this also made Mr. Giovanni one of the top ten men in Kanto who most wanted to date.
It has to be said that Giovanni's persona is very appealing, and coupled with his personal charm, it's not surprising that many people like him. In fact, even in his previous life, Giovanni would have been an absolute diamond bachelor. First of all, the position of a gym leader is very high, with a high salary and good benefits. This is equivalent to the chairman of a city's richest company in his previous life. In addition, although Giovanni is not very handsome, he is very good-looking and has maintained a good physique without gaining weight.
Such a person is naturally very charming, not to mention that Giovanni has a great personal charm. Heath and Giovanni have known each other for so long, and it has to be said that if Heath hadn't known the plot and Giovanni's true identity, Heath would never have doubted this gentle and refined man.
"Not for now, my career comes first." Sakaki smiled. He was now completely focused on the organization's project, which was like his beloved. If the mission succeeded, Sakaki would be able to do even more, realize his ideas, and create an absolute world, a more outstanding and glorious world!
The league's leadership is corrupt. It's time for Team Rocket to create a new order. For this reason, Giovanni has become more active recently, while Team Rocket has become more covert. They are secretly causing trouble so that the league won't discover their true intentions. Once that Pokémon is born into this world, it will be Team Rocket's era.
However, Giovanni was unaware that Heath had just personally shattered the era that belonged to the Rockets.
"Mr. Sakaki is really carefree." Heath smiled and didn't say much. There's no such thing as a man being in his prime at thirty. It's rare for someone to be unmarried at thirty. After all, everyone knows that having children is more troublesome as you get older. Although Sakaki certainly doesn't have that concern, if he wanted to, he could definitely find a girl of marriageable age.
“It’s not about being carefree, Heath. I just have my own pursuits.” Giovanni offered Heath a cigarette, but then remembered that Heath didn’t smoke, so he put it away. Heath raised an eyebrow. He could tell that Mr. Giovanni was in a complicated mood today, probably wanting to confide in someone. Although Giovanni certainly wouldn’t say anything about Team Rocket, he would still want to say something. That’s how people are. Even the most socially awkward person will occasionally want to confide in someone. It’s just that the ways socially awkward people confide are rather peculiar—maybe with a doll, a game, or a figurine.
However, Giovanni didn't say anything. As lunchtime approached, Heath's food cart became more crowded. Mr. Giovanni didn't stay there. Instead, he patted Heath on the shoulder and left. Heath looked at Giovanni's departing figure with some confusion. He really didn't know what was wrong with Mr. Giovanni lately. He seemed to be under a lot of pressure.
Chapter 1095 The Long-Awaited Half-Price Bento Box
"Let's offer some half-price boxed lunches for lunch today." Heath cracked his neck, instantly feeling much better. He stretched; it was almost lunchtime, and there were more customers. But Heath didn't mind. With Farfetch'd helping him, serving these customers wouldn't be too much trouble. He could simply serve the customers, and Farfetch'd would prepare the boxed lunches. The reason Heath wanted to offer half-price boxed lunches was because today was his last day in Fuchsia City. He decided to offer half-price lunches before leaving, and it would also help clear out some ingredients. Although Heath's food cart had a storage compartment, Heath still preferred to clean out the ingredients regularly.
It's like some supermarkets that make bread and other prepared foods every day, but what do they do with the unsold bread? This isn't about the "best before" date, but the "expiration date." Once it's past its expiration date, it can't be sold to customers. So, these supermarkets usually offer discounts on the last day or two before the expiration date, selling it at a discounted price, just like those near-expiration foods. The price is often much lower than the original price. Heath even knows some people who specifically go to buy those near-expiration foods because they are so cheap; at the original price, you could even buy two, three, or four of the same items.
However, Heath's food cart doesn't have this problem. It has a storage room where all the ingredients are kept exactly as they were when they were first put in. In other words, even if Heath slaughters a cow and puts it in, a year later when he takes the beef out, the beef will still be as fresh as when it was first put in. So Heath doesn't have this concern.
But Heath still planned to make some half-price boxed meals.
As for what to make for the boxed lunches, Heath had already decided. He planned to make three kinds: braised chicken rice, braised pork and fried tofu rice, and shredded pork with garlic sauce rice. Farfetch'd could cook all of these dishes and was very skilled at it, so there wouldn't be any major problems. Moreover, he could quickly prepare them using Dialga's cooking utensils. So Heath called Farfetch'd over, gave him a brief explanation, and Farfetch'd nodded. Then he pushed the cart inside to move the ingredients. After all, there were quite a few ingredients to be used this time, especially meat, so the weight was considerable, and the cart would be more convenient.
As for the price, the half-price bento box is definitely not too expensive, making it a very affordable option.
With Farfetch'd's help, the boxed lunches were quickly prepared, just in time for the start of the mealtime. With the option of boxed lunches, the line at Heath's food truck shortened. Some customers who came to eat would choose to buy boxed lunches when they saw the large crowd in the food truck and take them home to eat, which saved Heath a lot of effort. Moreover, when talking about disposable lunch boxes and chopsticks, Heath's expression became strange. To be honest, he really admired the people in the Pokémon world, especially those Pokémon scientists.
The Pokémon world also has disposable lunch boxes and chopsticks, which were almost universally criticized in the past, especially disposable chopsticks. Some people even said that a single disposable chopstick represents the deforestation of an entire forest, but such people are simply not very bright. Although disposable chopsticks are widely used, there are actually specific tree species and technologies used to produce them. This kind of blame-sharing theory is very dissatisfying. Many people feel that this is not a problem caused by them, but some people in society insist on attributing it to all of humanity, as if ordinary people also frequently eat shark fin soup.
However, the Pokémon world doesn't have these people talking about it every day. The reason is that Pokémon scientists, specifically the Alakazam research team, developed a biodegradable plastic and a fast-growing tree species. These trees grow very quickly but also die very quickly, seemingly useless, but they are perfect for making disposable chopsticks. So these have formed an industry chain, and naturally, no one says anything. The League's method of dealing with waste is also very simple: biodegradable waste is landfilled. Biodegradable plastic can be degraded in fifteen days, which is quite effective.
"Hello, do you still have this braised chicken lunchbox?" A very pretty-looking girl walked in and asked timidly.
Heath glanced at the warming cabinet next to him. The boxed meals inside were almost sold out. Heath had asked Da Long Duck to make a lot of boxed meals, but he didn't expect them to sell so quickly. They were almost sold out in a short while. Now the braised chicken rice was also sold out. The good news was that there were still fried tofu and shredded pork with garlic sauce left.
"Sorry, the braised chicken is sold out, but we still have braised pork and shredded pork with garlic sauce." Heath said simply. These pre-made boxed meals certainly couldn't satisfy the customers' taste buds. Heath's own cooking could satisfy them because he could see it, but these boxed meals couldn't. These boxed meals were all pre-made, and the taste was fixed. However, fortunately, this kind of sales was also recognized by the golden finger. Heath was a little curious about what reward he could get today.
"Then I'll have a braised pork... oh no, I mean a shredded pork with garlic sauce." The girl hesitated for a moment, but then chose the shredded pork with garlic sauce. Heath didn't think much of it, took the money and handed her the boxed lunch. The girl took the boxed lunch and then timidly asked Heath for a receipt. Heath looked confused, but in the end she still gave her a receipt.
"It's really strange. Do people still need invoices for boxed meals these days?" Heath shook his head. He naturally had invoices in his food cart, but very few people usually asked for them. Moreover, tax issues didn't require invoices as proof. Heath's food cart would automatically handle these tax-related operations, which was quite convenient. He didn't expect that he would have to issue an invoice for each boxed meal sold today, which made Heath both laugh and cry.
However, what Heath didn't know was that after the girl left, she and several other people took his lunchbox and headed off in a hurry, showing no signs of hunger. Moreover, the lunchbox was not opened; instead, it was placed in a specially made box. The direction they were heading was towards the [Frey Appraisal Center in Ashen City].
"This guy definitely used expired ingredients. It's hard to say there's something wrong with the food itself." The woman in the lead sneered. Isn't this the same trick with these half-price lunchboxes? No matter how clean they are, you can always find some problems and then make a profit.
Chapter 1096 The Unpredictability of Human Hearts
There are always some people in this world who like to do bad things, and such people are not uncommon, at least for now. Heath never expected to encounter this type of person. He was just selling his boxed lunches when he saw the Alliance staff arrive, saying they had received a report and were coming to check if there were any food safety issues with the boxed lunches he was selling. Normally, such a thing shouldn't happen, but the problem is that problematic curry was exposed in Fuchsia City, so the Alliance in Fuchsia City is now overreacting to the food safety issue. However, in addition, it's also because it's after a disaster, and such things after a disaster are very likely to cause public resentment, so the Alliance's handling is very efficient and fast.
However, Heath had mixed feelings. He had done a good deed this time. Although he didn't give it away for free, he at least offered it at half price. And even though it was half price, the ingredients he provided were absolutely fresh and without any problems. But now, his boxed meals had been reported. Heath didn't know what to say. After all, it was obvious to anyone with eyes that one of the customers had reported it, but no one knew who it was.
Heath had no choice but to temporarily close down and undergo investigation under the astonished gazes of the diners. Sometimes, even if nothing was found, the presence of regulatory authorities could create a very bad feeling, as if there was something wrong with the restaurant. However, Heath had a clear conscience and calmly accepted the inspection. They also went to the food cabinet where Heath stored his ingredients and took samples of the boxed meals. The whole process was very serious and gave people a sense of pressure.
Heath didn't feel anything, after all, he knew very well whether he had done anything immoral. Precisely because he hadn't done anything, Heath was too lazy to say anything more to these people. Anyway, Heath had everything these people wanted, including proof of purchase for groceries. This storage room seemed to have this kind of rational feature, so Heath was never worried about any problems. He was just as calm when his colleagues reported him before.
The inspection was completed quickly. They brought the latest equipment with them this time, which could complete the test in a very short time, so there was no need to wait a whole day for the results. The test at Heath's place was over. All the hygiene conditions were met, and there were no dangerous additives or anything else. Everything was perfectly normal.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Heath. We only did this after receiving reports from the public." The leading man's expression softened considerably, and he shook hands with Heath politely.
Heath chuckled twice. He remembered being reported before, and he didn't expect to be reported again. Last time, Heath had confidently said that it wouldn't be so easy to report again after the first report, but he didn't expect to be reported successfully again this time. This made Heath feel a little disheartened. He didn't know what to say. He hadn't done anything, but he was still reported and suspected. Although he knew that this was the responsibility of the league's regulatory department, he still felt a little uncomfortable.
However, Heath didn't say much. He planned to leave. Anyway, the portal was ready now, so there was no point in staying here. But considering Ash's presence, Heath decided to wait until the afternoon closing time before leaving. Otherwise, he didn't know when he would be able to see Ash again. It was at this moment that Heath's phone received a message.
Heath opened the message and saw it was from Cynthia, asking for his location and saying she had something to give him. Heath was a little surprised, but he still left his current location. Since Cynthia wanted to give him something, he figured he should wait a bit, otherwise it would be troublesome if she delivered it to him and he left without a trace.
The alliance staff at least did their job properly; they posted a document outside stating that there were no problems with Heath's catering, which cleared up the possibility that Heath was being misunderstood. However, Heath still had some doubts about who reported him and what their purpose was. But too many people came to eat at his place, and quite a few took away their takeout, so Heath really didn't know who had reported him and could only let it go.
"I wonder what Cynthia is planning to give me..." Heath yawned, a little curious. He really didn't know what Cynthia was planning to give him, but he guessed it would be kitchen utensils or ingredients. After all, Cynthia was very smart and knew that Heath was a chef, so she often gave Heath things related to cooking, either ingredients or kitchen utensils. So Heath could roughly guess what she was going to give him.
Although there were notices posted at the entrance, it turned out that many people didn't bother to look at them. Even after Heath's food truck reopened, no customers came in. Heath glanced at the boxed meals and thankfully there weren't many left. They had already sold a lot of boxed meals before, so there weren't many left. Although there were still some, they were very few.
"Brother Heath!" Ash pushed open the door and walked in. The rumors outside didn't seem to affect Ash at all. Ash still looked very happy. Heath glanced at Ash. The future protagonist still had a scratch on his face. It was very shallow and not deep. It was just unknown what he had done to get scratched. However, if it were one of those young male celebrities in the Chinese entertainment industry, they would probably be crying and screaming for fear of being disfigured. Ash didn't have such concerns.
"Oh, it's Ash. Are you here for dinner? Why is your face injured?" Heath asked casually. He and Ash were quite close, so he spoke rather casually.
"Yeah! Hehe, I tripped and fell while helping to clear the fallen trees, and got scratched by a branch." Xiao Zhi nodded first, then smiled sheepishly. Heath smiled when he saw this. So that's what happened. He had been wondering what had happened, but it turned out to be this situation. Getting scratched on the face by a branch was a stroke of luck, at least it didn't poke his eyes or anything.
Heath was also very happy for Ash. This kind-hearted child, it's no wonder he will achieve so much in the future. He truly has the heart of a child.
Chapter 1097 There are always some malicious people
"Be more careful next time. This time it was just a scratch on your face, but what if you poked your eye next time? How will you be a trainer then?" Hiss said earnestly. He had a good relationship with Ash and knew Ash's mother, so he was sometimes considered Ash's elder. This kind of supervision and reminder was very necessary. Although Hiss himself used to hate the nagging of elders, he could only now understand the necessity of such nagging. After all, adults suffer a lot, so naturally they don't want their younger relatives who are close to them to suffer in the same way. That's how people are. It's just that this kind of caring tone and attitude might provoke the younger generation's dissatisfaction and resistance.
"Okay, Brother Hiss." However, Ash was clearly not one of those people. Hearing Hiss's tone become more serious, Ash's attitude also became more respectful. Ash really liked Hiss. On one hand, Hiss was a good cook and cared about Ash a lot. On the other hand, Ash thought Hiss was a very powerful trainer. After all, Hiss's girlfriend was so powerful that she became the champion of the Sinnoh region, so Hiss must be very powerful too.
Heath had no idea what Ash was thinking. If he did, he would probably laugh out loud. Heath had never thought about becoming a trainer. Being a trainer was so boring. You'd be busy every day and have to train your Pokémon all the time. It would be much better to just cook and entertain guests and see all sorts of strange things. Wouldn't that be more interesting?
"What would you like to eat? We have all kinds of dishes today, it's on me." Heath asked with a smile, his mood brightening as he saw Ash come in.
"Huh? Is Brother Heath treating? Can I have curry chicken cutlet omelet rice? If so, could you also have a serving of seaweed?" Ash immediately raised his hand. He was already starving. Children this age have the biggest appetites; they can eat the equivalent of a whole cow in one meal. Although it's not that much, their appetites are definitely good. Besides, Ash had been a volunteer and done some physical labor, so his hunger was extremely high. He wanted to eat something for a long time, but after saying that, Ash felt a little embarrassed, thinking that he might have asked for too much. Even though Brother Heath was treating, he shouldn't ask for so much.
"Would you like another serving of fried chicken?" Heath had other ideas. In his opinion, Ash didn't want much, even a little. Heath was worried that Ash might not be full, so he asked hesitantly. Ash shook his head immediately after hearing this. He was so embarrassed that he blushed. How could he ask Heath for more food? So naturally, he didn't dare to.
Seeing this, Heath didn't say much, but he still decided to make Ash a bigger meal so that Ash could be full and have the energy to be a volunteer later.
Meanwhile, in Asakusa City, a group of people were in a terrible mood. They were none other than the same group who had bought boxed lunches from Heath's food truck earlier.
"Is this boss crazy?! There's nothing wrong with the food! And the ingredients are all very fresh. How can someone like this sell boxed lunches at half price? Is he insane?!" The woman in the lead angrily threw the boxed lunch on the ground, and even stomped on it a few times. She was sure there was something wrong with the food this time, but now she's not only failed to find anything wrong, but also lost money on testing. Moreover, after reporting it, she found it was completely useless, as there was nothing wrong with the ingredients in the other party's food cart.
The people around her echoed and cursed Heath, but the girl who went to buy the lunchbox kept her head down and didn't say anything. She felt that this was wrong, but she didn't know what to say. After all, she was the one who bought the lunchbox, and she had also embarked on this path of no return.
"Xiao Miao, I have a task for you." A pair of hands patted her shoulders. The girl named Xiao Miao looked up blankly at her cousin. It was this cousin who brought her into this industry. At first, she talked a good game, promising her a monthly income of over ten thousand yuan, daily holidays, and the opportunity to travel the world. But when the job actually came, she accidentally broke an antique and had to stay in the team to work against her conscience. This caused Xiao Miao great pain, but she didn't dare to resist. Her cousin hit her hard and would humiliate her with mud.
"Take this bottle with you later. When you get to that guy's food cart, just open the bottle." Her cousin handed her a bottle. The bottle wasn't big, but it was swarming with cockroaches, and they were small cockroaches at that. These cockroaches grow very fast and are very good at hiding, making them very difficult to disinfect. Xiao Miao was a little taken aback. Wasn't this just a complete frame-up?
However, seeing her cousin's dangerous gaze, she didn't dare to say anything and could only nod silently.
But the glass bottle she was holding felt incredibly hot, as if it could burn her hand. Yet she gripped it tightly, her veins bulging. Was this really the right thing to do? Xiao Miao felt it was wrong, but she had no power to resist. She didn't have her own Pokémon, and she couldn't beat these people. It seemed she could only accept her fate.
"Ash, here's your curry chicken cutlet omelet rice." Heath handed Ash the curry chicken cutlet omelet rice she had made, along with a side of seaweed. However, there was a lot of chicken in the curry chicken cutlet, but you couldn't tell from the appearance. All you could see was that the chicken cutlet seemed a bit thick, but there was nothing special about it.
"Thank you, Brother Heath." Ash eagerly picked up his chopsticks. Heath could hear Ash's stomach rumbling, which made Heath want to laugh. It seemed that Ash was really starving.
"Ash, speaking of which, you're about to start your journey, right?" Histo looked at Ash with his chin in hand. An era belonging to Ash was about to begin. However, Histo didn't care about Ash's journey. Although he would definitely be saved by Ash countless times without realizing it, after all, Ash had saved the world many times, leaving a deep impression.
"Hmm, there are still a few months left. I plan to choose a Charmander then!" Ash smiled happily, looking forward to his trip. However, Hiss's expression turned strange. A Charmander? That's quite a good idea.
But you're destined to be involved with Pikachu.
Chapter 1098 The Easily Satisfied Little Zhi
Ash's dream is destined to remain unfulfilled. However, given Ash's personality, even if it doesn't come true, he will cherish his Pokémon and there won't be any melodramatic plot twists. Every year after the day when new trainers receive their Pokémon, there are news stories about Pokémon being abandoned or abused. Even though the League punishes such cases every year, it is very difficult to completely eliminate them. Otherwise, there wouldn't be so many related laws. This is because there have been too many similar cases in the past, so the League had to make such restrictions.
"Brother Heath, do you have a cell phone here?" Ash came running over. Heath was taken aback for a moment and then nodded. Of course he had a cell phone, but he didn't know why Ash was asking him. Besides, Heath remembered that Ash should also have a cell phone. After all, the level of technology in this world was quite high. Cell phones were not a luxury. Everyone could afford them. The only difference was the configuration and model of the phone.
"Brother Heath, can you help me find a website? I received a text message about a Pokémon gift!" Ash seemed very happy. Heath was a little surprised. A Pokémon gift? Does this kind of thing still happen these days? However, such things do happen from time to time in the Pokémon world. Heath knew of some groups that gifted Pokémon, mainly those that had been abandoned or abused. Their gifting work was going very smoothly. The only problem was that after they started their work, more people went to them to abandon their Pokémon. Some people even brought Pokémon that were seriously ill and needed a lot of medical expenses.
"Let me take a look for you first." Although he knew that such people did exist in this world, Heath still planned to check first. After all, telecom fraud also existed in the Pokémon world, and the scale of this telecom fraud was similar to that of his previous life, with various tricks. However, the most common tricks here were related to Pokémon, such as participating in TV programs, receiving lottery text messages, and even online casinos. These things existed, but they also caused relatively serious problems. Although the League took it very seriously, it was indeed troublesome to catch these rats. They could only do more publicity and make people aware of the dangers of being scammed. Officer Jenny even came to stop the scams.
However, even under these circumstances, quite a few people still fall for the scam, which shows that there are too many fools and not enough scammers to go around.
Upon closer inspection, Heath discovered some problems.
[Congratulations! You have received the Typhoon-Stricken but Kind Gift Pack from Fuchsia City. To thank all alliance members for their help, we have randomly selected some lucky citizens to receive deluxe tickets to the Wilderness Hunting Zone, along with 100 newly developed Advanced Balls. Please log in to the following website: bkm.420rtm.com (Please note that minors must use an adult's mobile phone to log in, otherwise they will not be able to claim the gift)]
Heath's lips twitched. What should he say? What should he say? There were just too many flaws. For a moment, he didn't know how to respond. In any case, Heath didn't know. After all, the text message was obviously problematic. First of all, although Fuzzy City did shout the slogan "The typhoon is merciless, but people are compassionate," it didn't mention any big gift package. Even if the League had subsidies for volunteers, it certainly wouldn't be such a casual subsidy. It would be a more formal reward or something like that.
What's more, the last sentence, "Minors, please log in using an adult's phone," was absolutely hilarious to Heath; he had never seen such an amusing scam text message.
"Ash, this is fake." Heath handed the phone to Ash with a mix of amusement and exasperation. Ash seemed a little incredulous, but thankfully he remained rational and quickly accepted the reality. He went back home somewhat dejectedly. Seeing Ash's disappointed look, Heath couldn't help but scratch his head.
"Ash, there aren't any guests right now, how about we go to the hunting grounds later?" Hiss smiled and ruffled Ash's hair. Ash immediately perked up at the suggestion; kids are so easy to comfort.
After preparing food for Ash and waiting for him to finish eating, Heath drove the food truck to the hunting grounds near Fuchsia City.
The Safari Zone was not open at the moment, as the typhoon had a severe impact. This made Heath a little embarrassed, but Ash didn't care. He happily ran down and clung to the railing, looking inside. It seemed he could see countless Pokémon living freely inside.
"I remember there was a carnival event in the Safari Zone, right?" Heath asked a staff member, looking at Ash's sensible manner.
The other person was a very cute girl. Although she was wearing a rescue suit, you could tell she was very pretty. However, Heath didn't feel anything; he already had a girlfriend.
"Yes, sir, but the Safari Zone is currently under maintenance, so you can't participate for the time being." The staff member nodded. The Safari Zone carnival is a very unique event, which involves entering the Safari Zone without bringing any Poké Balls, only taking photos with a camera, so the price is cheaper. Ash can only participate in this event because of his age. Originally, Heath was thinking that Ash could participate if there weren't many restrictions, but it turns out he can't.
Heath sighed. It seemed there was no other way; he could only try to bring Ash here another time.
But just as he was thinking this, Heath felt himself being hugged.
"Hey~ my cute little boyfriend, cheating is unacceptable~" Cynthia's gentle voice followed by Heath's feeling his waist being pinched. His lips twitched. He hadn't known his girlfriend had such a temper. But now was not the time to talk about that. Heath knew that what he needed to do most right now was to quickly prove that he had no intention of cheating.
