[Everyone's scrambling to sleep with the male lead, playing cards! Sex is something everyone loves to watch!! Just add a couple of chapters of sex, two isn't enough, add three, three isn't enough, then a mixed-gender bicycle scene, and after that, a pure love confession, isn't that enough?]
...Answers are the same as above
If we simply reduce them to sex tools, then I don't think there's anything good about it, and everything Bai Shao said and did would be in vain.
Write about their lives, the affairs of the harem, and the individual development of women within the harem.
Let's return to our initial question: this book is a novel with a focus on alternate history, but it shifts to a harem setting with realistic developments, which, from a stylistic perspective, is a rather abrupt change.
[Let the concubines be like partners, set up a studio with Young Master Bai, and work together.]
This is a good method; it seems like it can regroup everyone.
But at its core, they were tools used to fulfill Bai Shao's dreams.
Despite being called "Partners," all of them revolve around the protagonist's dream, treating it as their own.
I considered writing it this way, but I couldn't bring myself to do it because I hated it.
This is not the relationship between them that I wanted to describe.
The female protagonist kneels before the male protagonist, resting her head on his knees, and vows to make his dreams her own, to forever protect and obey him. She declares, "I will defeat everyone who hurts you; I will let everyone know this is my love."
Go to hell! Feudalism died down almost a hundred years ago, yet it's still spiritually resurrecting.
Kneel. You. He. Mother. Kneel!
I have seen countless female elders around me who turned other people's dreams into their own and dedicated their lives to them.
Unfortunately, in more than 70-80% of the cases I've seen, the women were not happy.
I really wish I could go back to the beginning and tell them not to turn other people's dreams into their own.
While it may feel good to have someone unconditionally support your dreams, the cost of betrayal is very low for those with power and wealth. Never challenge the moral bottom line of human nature, so everyone should have basic vigilance.
My favorite work, *The Twelve Kingdoms*, ends with a passage that has resonated throughout my impoverished life, roughly as follows:
Every time someone is forced to kneel or kowtow, a part of that person is stripped away—perhaps their dignity, or perhaps something deeper within their humanity. The feeling of losing a part of oneself is so painful that I never want my people to experience it again. Therefore, I have abolished the kowtow ritual.
I can't laugh. Seeing this kind of scene, whether it's a man kneeling to a woman or a woman kneeling to a man, I can't laugh.
Using love as a pretext, but in reality, it's about dependence.
It's very upsetting.
Bai Shao has always rejected this kind of behavior.
After considering so many options and failing to find a better one, I consulted my friend who had more experience with harem novels.
He said it to me very calmly.
"I have at least ten ways to solve your current predicament. The only condition is to objectify them. From now on, they are just pets and tools. You just need to make their behavior goal endlessly obedient to the male protagonist and full of desire, while adding some fantastical psychological twists in the text. Basically, all harem novels solve the problem this way."
"...Would you be willing?"
I am unwilling, so I am caught in a dilemma, struggling in a fragmented world and a journey I no longer want to continue.
Finally, I decided to end it.
Let Bai Shao end this journey, and also end my intense mental anguish.
Without a main storyline to support it, it can't unfold any overpowered or awesome actions. In fact, I can't write it either. I'm not cut out for writing wish-fulfillment stories, and I can't understand what's so good about making people kneel down.
As I mentioned in my previous book, the premise of my "feel-good" stories is always that good deeds are rewarded and evil deeds are punished.
The winner takes all, at the expense of neighbors—what I do is right, I can't do it.
So I ended this journey.
I freed Bai Shao from this journey, and also gave my beloved yanderes an end.
I don't want to write about weddings or marriage; that's too realistic a topic.
Even Disney, known for its happy endings, doesn't write this kind of content anymore.
But I'm still quite happy.
To overcome the difficulties encountered on this journey, I thought a lot and read a lot of books. What was originally just a work I wrote on a whim has, by chance, been broadened in the minds of many scholars and wise elders with deeper thoughts.
Thank you, I am very happy, and I am improving every day.
Then I made a capricious decision: to brew all this content into a bitter pill, and put it into the final dozen or so chapters, ruthlessly deconstructing the entire relationship and system between the savior and the saved, and in the minefield of harem novels, to discuss gender equality—
I'm so brave!!!
But if we weren't brave enough, the game Street Fighter would never have been created in the first place.
A valiant beginning, a valiant end!
This work, which was originally deconstructive, will end by deconstructing the entire work.
If you consider yourself brave enough, you can consider clicking on the final volume to accept the challenge.
If you can't, then please don't—
I'm Bai Luosi, the kind of guy who can really dance on graves!
Once the main story is finished, I will no longer try to connect the story in a coherent way. Instead, I will fill in any unresolved plot points through epilogues or post-episodes. The pace will be arbitrary, sometimes wild and sometimes as slow as a tortoise.
Thank you everyone! —<( ̄︶ ̄)>
Alright! Collapse, retreat, and flee!
