“Since you don’t care, then I care even less. International students don’t get much attention to begin with.” Wu Shen shrugged.

"Speaking of which, you're an international student." Yukino Yukinoshita nodded, seemingly deeply moved. She remembered that Utaha had told Wu Shen that Yukino had spent her middle school years studying abroad.

"What kind of place is the Celestial Empire?" Yukino suddenly asked out of the blue.

"Huh?" Wu Shen was taken aback.

Why did the topic suddenly shift to their own country? And Yukino seems quite interested! Wu Shen was a little puzzled.

"It's nothing, I was just being rude. I was just a little curious. There's a tiny chance I might go there in the future, so I wanted to find out beforehand."

Wu Shen's impression of Yukino Yukinoshita was that she was the kind of person who kept strangers at bay, had a sharp tongue, and was cold and outspoken. But for some reason, when she talked to him, he always had the illusion that they were being very respectful and meticulous with each other.

How can I describe this feeling? It's like the two people at a blind date who are still a bit reserved. To be honest, even if Yukino mercilessly roasted Wu Shen, it would be much more comfortable and pleasant than this suffocating atmosphere.

"I see. You're planning to study in China for university? That's quite rare. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me anytime. Although I'm not a great student, I'm quite confident in my knowledge in this area."

Yukino's serious attitude forced Wu Shen to give a very stiff and rigid answer.

"There's only a very small chance, a very, very small chance..." Yukino emphasized the word "very small" when she spoke. And she said the important thing three times.

"Yes, very small, I understand." Wu Shen could only nod in agreement. But he was increasingly puzzled. Yukino had been speaking vaguely and avoiding the main points, as if she was trying her best to hide something.

Why would she risk being the subject of rumors to come and find me?

"Actually, I've been observing you for a long time." Yukino seemed to realize that if she didn't explain the reason, she might be misunderstood, so she began to explain her background.

"Stalker?"

"Wu Shen, have you always failed Chinese? Please use your brain more when you answer." Yukino sighed softly, her gaze seemingly fixed on ZZ.

“Under the snow, I actually think that if we used ‘Did your elementary school PE teacher teach you Chinese?’, the sarcasm would be stronger, and it would also have a comedic effect,” Wu Shen patiently explained.

"Just as Amane said, you usually seem ordinary, but you can be quite frivolous at times..." Yukino Yukinoshita looked up at Wu Shen speechlessly, while rubbing her forehead.

"Who is Yuyin?" Wu Shen felt he had grasped the key point.

"Don't worry about it, he's just a friend." However, Yukino was still evasive. "What I really meant was that I'm starting a club and we're short of members, so I'd like to invite you to join."

Hearing this, Wu Shen finally understood. So Yukino had come to him twice to recruit club members. No wonder she said something like "barely passable" before leaving last time; that probably referred to the member selection process, right?

“But I’m from the home department, and I also have to work.” Wu Shen scratched his head.

In the past, Wu Shen might have agreed out of boredom. But now, with a part-time job and the need to take care of dance costumes at home, he wasn't really interested in joining any clubs.

School ends around 3 PM, followed by club activities for an hour or two, then a part-time job. After returning home, he still has to take care of his dance costumes. Wu Shen feels that being busy all day long might be very tiring.

"Is that so? Then forget it. Just pretend I didn't say anything before." Hearing Wu Shen's reply, Yukino didn't try to stop him. Her expression was neither sad nor happy. She bowed slightly, turned around, and left the classroom door.

Wu Shen knew, based on his limited understanding, that Yukino Yukinoshita was a proud girl. It was already quite remarkable that she would lower herself to invite someone, and it was almost impossible for her to ask for anything further.

"Wu Shenjun, are you gay? How could you refuse an invitation from such a cute girl?" Shi Yu's voice suddenly came from across the classroom door. Although you couldn't see Shi Yu's expression, you could sense a hint of pleasure in her voice.

"Is it really something to be happy about that I'm not destined to be with girls?" Wu Shen complained, leaning against the wall.

"The thought that Wu Shenjun will be alone for the rest of his life makes me incredibly excited."

"Kasumigaoka, you really have a twisted sense of humor." Wu Shen shook his head. To avoid being besieged by his classmates, he didn't enter the classroom until the bell rang. He went around to the back door.

Although curious glances occasionally fell on Wu Shen's seat, the disturbance quickly subsided because Hiratsuka Shizuka, who was teaching the Chinese language class, had already entered the classroom, and the students dared not cause too much trouble during class time.

Chinese language class has always been Wu Shen's weakest subject. He struggles even with reading novels, let alone textbooks. It's a world of difference compared to the ease of math class.

Just ten minutes into the lesson, Wu Shen felt a headache coming on. While rubbing his temples, he temporarily shifted his attention from the lesson content to observing the classroom scene in order to alleviate the discomfort.

Although he was supposed to be observing the whole class, Wu Shen's gaze subconsciously drifted towards Kasumigaoka Utaha, who was located diagonally opposite the doorway.

Wu Shen himself couldn't explain why he made that choice. In the past, if he was daydreaming in class, he would usually look out the window at the scenery.

Unlike usual, Shi Yu wasn't taking a nap during class break. Instead, she was frantically writing something down in her notebook. That familiar energy reminded Wu Shen of the scene yesterday in the coffee shop when Shi Yu suddenly had an inspiration and kept typing away.

"Could it be that Kasumigaoka got a sudden inspiration during class and couldn't control himself, so he's writing furiously?" Wu Shen thought to himself, a little embarrassed, while resting his chin on his hand.

How dare she interrupt Shizuka-sensei's class to write? As expected of Kasumigaoka Utaha.

"Kasumigaoka-san, please answer this question." But just at this moment, Hiratsuka-sensei directly called on Utaha to answer the question.

Having experienced it once before, Wu Shen knew Shi Yu's current state. Unless he shouted loudly or used physical means to forcibly interrupt her, Shi Yu probably wouldn't be able to hear the outside noise for a while.

"Kasumigaoka-san?"

Having received no response for a long time, Professor Hiratsuka turned his gaze in surprise to Shiwa, who was still writing furiously. At the same time, Wu Shen's heart was in his throat.

Chapter 24 Making Big News

"Kasumigaoka-san? Why aren't you responding to me?"

If Utaha were asleep right now, Hiratsuka-sensei might have let the matter drop. After all, it's not the first or second time Utaha has fallen asleep in class.

The problem was that Utaha seemed very focused on writing something and didn't hear Hiratsuka calling her at all. So she couldn't help but turn her gaze to Utaha.

At first, she thought Shiyu was taking class notes, but now it was clear that this was not the case.

As Hiratsuka's attention was drawn, everyone in the class turned their gaze to Utaha.

If Utaha's secret is discovered by Hiratsuka-sensei under these circumstances, then Utaha's secret will inevitably be exposed to the whole class, and she will never have peace again.

"Strange, can't you hear me? What are you doing?" Hiratsuka-sensei's tone was somewhat puzzled. She slowly walked towards Shiyu, seemingly wanting to find out what Shiyu was doing.

Others didn't know what was going on, but Wu Shen was perfectly clear that Shi Yu must have been inspired during class and entered a writing mode, oblivious to the reactions of those around her.

Seeing Shiyu's unusual behavior, the other students seemed to sense that some big news was about to happen, and they all stared intently at Kasumigaoka Shiyu, waiting for the outcome of the event.

Utaha Kasumigaoka, engrossed in her writing inspiration, was completely unaware that the entire class was focused on her.

As Hiratsuka drew closer to Utaha, Wu Shen knew he had to do something. Otherwise, Utaha's secret would be exposed to everyone.

There needs to be something that can immediately divert everyone's attention, and it has to be something sensational and lasting, otherwise Hiratsuka and the whole class will soon turn their attention back to Utaha. Ideally, it should also bring Utaha back to her senses.

Simply put, in order to help Shi Yu escape this calamity, Wu Shen must create a big news story, and this big news story must be sensational and attractive enough, otherwise it will be impossible to cover up the public's attention to Shi Yu.

There were only a few seconds left, not enough time for Wu Shen to think or analyze. He almost instinctively stood up and blurted out, "Hiratsuka-sensei!!"

This was arguably Wu Shen's loudest voice. But it only attracted everyone's attention for a moment. Shi Yu, interrupted by Wu Shen's loud shout, looked up at her surroundings with some confusion.

If the next sentence doesn't garner enough attention and can't maintain everyone's focus, Shiwa won't have a chance to hide the notebook and return to normal. And most importantly, she needs to divert Hiratsuka Shizuka's attention!

Time was of the essence, so Wu Shen spoke up without hesitation.

"I just can't contain my feelings anymore. Hiratsuka-sensei, I love you so much!!"

This was a choice made out of necessity; there might have been other, more perfect solutions. But for Wu Shen, in those few seconds, this was the only solution that popped into his mind.

In order to keep Kasumigaoka Utaha's secret, Wu Shen revealed it himself, and even made a big news story.

As soon as Wu Shen finished speaking, the air in the whole class suddenly became quiet.

"Eh?!?!?!" Then came the unanimous exclamation from the entire class.

When Hiratsuka Shizuka looked at Wu Shen, who had suddenly confessed his feelings, her expression changed from her usual mature and composed demeanor to one of bewilderment.

However, as expected of a teacher, Hiratsuka Shizuka quickly calmed down and looked at Wu Shen with a headache. She seemed to have completely forgotten about Shiho's incident.

Shi Yu also heard Wu Shen's shout. She was stunned for a moment, but quickly realized something. She quickly put away her notebook on her desk while everyone's attention was diverted, and then looked at Wu Shen with a complicated expression.

Of all the girls in the class, Kasumigaoka Utaha is probably the only one who knows the truth.

As for Wu Shen, he straightened his back, looked around at everyone with an air of righteous indignation, and then said, "Ahem, I was just joking. Don't take it to heart, don't take it to heart."

Regardless, Wu Shen was still quite satisfied with the outcome. Although he sacrificed his integrity, at least Kasumigaoka Utaha was safe. And what he lost was merely a bit of reputation.

I'm afraid that once get out of class is over, the whole school will be abuzz with Wu Shen's amazing feat of confessing his love to the teacher on the spot, and he might even be seen as some kind of weirdo.

"Wu Shen, come to my office after class. It seems I need to teach you a lesson." Hiratsuka clasped his hands together, his face was gloomy and somewhat frightening, and a "harmonious" smile appeared on his lips with a slight twitch.

She clearly didn't take Wu Shen's confession seriously, thinking it was just a sudden joke from him.

After all, in her mind, Wu Shen had always been a student who didn't cause her too much trouble, someone who was usually unremarkable and the only thing she needed to care about was his status as an international student. But now, however, it seemed that Hiratsuka Shizuka felt she needed to add Wu Shen to her list of problem children.

After Wu Shen sat down, he saw Shi Yu turn to look at him, so he secretly gave her a thumbs-up, indicating that everything was under control. Shi Yu gave a slightly complicated smile, and then sat down facing forward again.

Kasumigaoka Utaha wasn't ungrateful; she just didn't know how to express it, what to say, or what kind of expression to give him.

To keep her secret, she was willing to sacrifice herself and take the blame. Shi Yu felt her mind was in turmoil and she could no longer maintain her previous calm attitude.

Time flies, and before they knew it, it was time for get out of class to end. So Wu Shen followed Hiratsuka Shizuka to the office.

Hiratsuka Shizuka hadn't spoken yet, but sat down and silently watched Wu Shen. Wu Shen had been thinking it over and over on the way, and felt it was better to clear up the misunderstanding first, in case it was really thought to be a confession, which would be awkward.

"Hiratsuka-sensei, I was just in a playful mood for a moment, please forgive me."

"So what you said before was all a lie?" Hiratsuka didn't put on any serious airs; instead, he was very approachable and looked at his student with amusement.

"Hmm. You see, there's a huge age gap between us. I'm still young, and you're already..."

Before Wu Shen could finish speaking, he felt a gust of wind from a punch coming his way. He instinctively stretched out his right hand to block the punch that grazed past his abdomen.

"Wow, that's a good reaction time." Hiratsuka-sensei seemed a little surprised.

"What are you doing, attacking me all of a sudden?" Wu Shen's forehead creased with a few black lines.

This art style is off! How did it suddenly turn into a fighting story where people start fighting at the drop of a hat? What happened to the slice-of-life scenes?!

"What do you mean by a large age gap? Didn't anyone tell you that it's impolite to talk about a woman's age for no reason?" Hiratsuka said angrily. Although she was a teacher, this seemed to be her weakness.

"No matter what, since you've done this, you should be prepared to be punished. Come with me, I'll take you somewhere." Hiratsuka sighed helplessly, then stood up.

Chapter 25 This is fate!

"Where are we going?" Following behind Hiratsuka-sensei, Wu Shen had a bad feeling.

"Just follow along. You should thank me for my magnanimity. Confessing to a teacher in public like this would not be something that can be dealt with simply by a punishment if done to other teachers."

The two walked down the campus corridor and unknowingly arrived at the teaching building that served as a preparation room for club activities. Reaching a secluded corner on the third floor, Mr. Hiratsuka didn't knock; he simply and casually opened the door.

Looking inside, the activity room, the same size as the classroom, was unusually empty. Apart from a girl sitting in the center, head down, reading a book, and a jumble of cardboard boxes around the room, there was nothing else special.
