This plan will kill many people. A batch will die during the great war, another batch will die when the system is dismantled, and when all the system's energy is poured into the planet, the souls of those who are deeply connected to the system will also be taken in, and they will die completely.

If this were done, 90% of life on the planet might die. Although it's supposed to save the world, the method is just too monstrous.

This also shows that this planet has truly been driven to the brink of desperation, and there is no way to bring about change to the world without resorting to such desperate measures.

"This plan won't work," Karl said immediately after hearing the proposal.

Putting aside his current public persona, any normal person would dislike the Holocaust plan. Nine out of ten people involved aren't just cold numbers, but living, breathing people. If he could help, Karl would be willing to do so.

"Isn't there any other way?" Carl asked.

The Demon King shook his head: "Each time the system recycles energy, it causes minor damage to the soul. These small damages accumulate over time, and after a few generations, people's souls will probably be unable to support reincarnation. At that point, even this plan will be impossible to implement."

"How much energy is needed? Will this thing help?" Karl asked, taking out the MA bomb that he had compressed into a crystal and placing it on the table.

The Demon King gave a negative answer, stating that the bomb's energy was only a drop in the ocean compared to the planet's energy.

"The goddess cares deeply for humanity. If there were no other way, I wouldn't want to make this decision. But this is the last chance. My own lifespan is coming to an end. Even if it goes against the goddess's wishes, I must rescue her," the Demon King said firmly.

After saying that, the Demon Queen downed the wine in her cup in one gulp. Her tone softened slightly as she said, "Of course, if you want to stop me, I can understand. Or if you can think of any new solutions, I can cooperate."

Karl was somewhat troubled. He wasn't a god in this world and couldn't provide that much MA energy. Did he really have to cause such widespread destruction? It wasn't necessarily impossible. When a civilization was driven to the brink of destruction and chose to sacrifice most of its people to preserve the last spark of life, it was a noble act.

But has it really come to this?

No, I almost misunderstood.

To the Demon King and the like, the world is just this planet, and gods are just background figures. But to them, it's not like that. The world is vast, and the planet is just a drop in the ocean.

The situation on this planet is like a game of chess that's about to end, but since I have the ability to overturn the table, why bother looking for a solution on the chessboard?

“Find the dragons and make them return the energy they stole from the planet,” Karl offered his answer.

"What...this,this, seems to be a solution, but is it possible?" the Demon King said incredulously.

It's no wonder she didn't believe it. Back then, the goddess fought a long war between humans and dragons, and her fighting power surpassed that of every dragon that came to the planet at that time. But even so, she couldn't stop the dragons from taking away the energy of the dragons.

Now Karl says he wants the dragons to spit out the energy they've ingested, and the dragons will absolutely not be willing to accept that.

"If you really do that, you might face attacks from all the dragons, perhaps even more than the goddess did back then. It's impossible to succeed," the Demon King said after a rational analysis.

Carl smiled and said, "How will we know the result if we don't try? It may be more difficult, but if we succeed, it will be a happy ending for everyone."

"No, it's impossible. Qiu Lie is a god on this planet, but he's just an ordinary member of the Dragon Clan. Do you want to face a group of gods?" The Demon King shook his head violently.

“It’s alright, I can go alone. If I succeed, that would be great. If I fail or don’t come back, we can consider other methods later,” Karl said.

Since things have come to this point, from the Demon King's perspective, it is indeed entirely beneficial. She can share in the fruits of victory, while Karl alone bears the risk of failure. Either way, she will not lose out.

But the Demon King couldn't accept Karl's help with a clear conscience. Why would anyone be willing to do something so thankless?

"Can you tell me why you're willing to go to such lengths? We've only known each other for a short time. To this world, you're just an outsider. Even if the world is destroyed, it won't affect you. Why? Why are you willing to take such a huge risk?"

The Demon King asked Karl, puzzled. She had only ever felt this kind of pure kindness and gentleness from the Goddess.

If you ask why, saying it's to explore the world and, incidentally, out of pity for you all, to help you out is really too much of a mood killer. Let's keep it simple.

“Because I am Superman,” Carl said.

The Demon King and Kurumi Tokisaki were speechless with shock. At this moment, Karl seemed to be radiating a kind of light, which made them feel ashamed, yet they couldn't help but want to get closer to the light source.

Chapter Twenty-Two: The Dragon King

“Then, Demon King, please call Mr. Qiu Lie. He will surely know where to find the dragons,” Karl said to the Demon King.

The Demon King nodded, but before she could even make a call, a smartphone suddenly appeared out of thin air on the table.

"Don't bother looking for Qiu Lie, you can't persuade him to help you." A cheerful voice came from the phone.

Spider-Man was on high alert, sobering up a bit from the alcohol: "D! What are you doing here?"

“Because something interesting is about to happen,” d said.

He was probably referring to his plans to deal with the dragons. Karl picked up his phone and spoke to D. He knew this guy was a fun-loving person, so he didn't need to worry too much about his attitude and could just ask him whatever he wanted.

“Miss D, what do you mean by saying Mr. Qiu Lie won’t help? He probably wants to save the goddess too, and he’s the world’s administrator.”

D immediately explained in cooperation: "He is first and foremost a member of the dragon race, and only then a ruler of the world. As a dragon, he would never betray the interests of his race."

"If you are too weak, he certainly won't let you go to your death; if you are too strong, he is even less likely to let you fight against the dragons, although the possibility is very small."

D is actually lying here. Qiu Lie is just difficult to persuade, but not impossible. With some negotiation, she can always find a level that Qiu Lie can accept. She just doesn't want Qiu Lie to lead the way.

Qiu Lie certainly didn't want anyone to clash with the dragons, so even if he agreed to Karl's request, he would definitely take him to a relatively peaceful dragon territory to avoid making things worse, otherwise it wouldn't be worthwhile.

“We can find out Mr. Qiu’s attitude by asking him. You called me personally, surely it wasn’t just to talk about this?” Karl said to D.

D seemed to be in a good mood and said in a high-spirited tone, "Of course, I've actually been annoyed with the Dragon Clan for a long time. They're like cockroaches. If you're willing to cause trouble, then I'm naturally very happy to welcome you. That's why I came here specifically to show you the way."

A long time ago, D fought with the dragons and even injured the Dragon King. Now, almost all the dragons don't want to have anything to do with her.

D dislikes dragons, but since they have already backed down, she can't do anything more. Being powerful doesn't mean she can do whatever she wants, because D is actually a god with a formal position.

She is now one of the highest-ranking gods, in charge of the underworld. She holds a high position and wields great power. Her actions represent the attitude of the underworld. If she were to attack the dragon race now, it would be like a leader of a country going to another country to cause trouble. The nature of the attack is very serious. Even if she doesn't care, the other gods will.

Karl is different; she can act freely. If she can make the dragons suffer, that would be great. Even if she can't, she can still have some fun watching.

“Then please tell me where the dragons are,” Karl said.

"Okay! If you're ready, let's set off right away. I'll use teleportation to get you there," D said impatiently.

Karl responded and then said to Spider and the others, "I need to leave for a while. We should have results in a few days."

"So soon? Shouldn't we prepare a little more?" Kurumi Tokisaki asked.

"The sooner we leave, the sooner we can come back, and it wouldn't be good to keep Miss D waiting too long." Karl didn't need to prepare much; his body hardly needed sleep or rest and was always in excellent condition.

"Demon King, when I left, I asked you to look after my friends," Karl said to the Demon King.

"Just call me Ariel. Don't worry, I'm the strongest person in the system, after all." The Demon King then paused slightly and said, "If things can't be done, come back quickly. It may not be perfect, but there must be other ways."

“I will,” he said.

Karl then felt a magical force filling the surrounding space. He did not resist and allowed the space to shift.

After the transfer was completed, Carl found himself in space, with D's smartphone floating beside him.

"The power of the artifact can only take you this far. You still have a long way to go on your own. Take this compass; it will point you to the location of the dragons and the way back."

As mentioned earlier, D is the goddess who governs the underworld, so why does she spend so much time on this planet?

That's because she actually sneaked out of her workplace to slack off, and the other gods are looking for her everywhere. If she dares to use her power, she will be located in no time and forced to work overtime, and she will never be able to slack off again.

Currently, D can only use some artifacts he brought with him and the power of the system, so his abilities are very limited.

"Keep it up, I believe in you." After saying that, D left the compass behind, retrieved his smartphone, and left.

The universe is vast. In many science fiction works, interstellar travel is usually achieved through wormhole jumps or entering subspace, using clever methods to travel faster than light. In any case, the spaceship would never fly by force, because that requirement is too high.

However, Carl's flight speed met this requirement; he could travel through interstellar space using his physical body, which was faster and more robust than most spaceships.

After flying for a few minutes in the direction the compass was pointing, Karl saw a vibrant planet, which must be the location of the dragons.

Although he had tested Qiu Lie a little before and concluded that he was probably not as good as him, just to be on the safe side, Karl still cautiously took out a kryptonite shard from the storage box on his belt and put it in his mouth.

In Superman comics, there is a common plot where Superman encounters a powerful enemy and falls into a disadvantageous position during the battle. Then, in the middle of the fight, Superman is suddenly knocked off Earth.

What lies beyond Earth? It's sunlight that hasn't been filtered by the atmosphere. When Superman gets exposed to this extra sunlight, he not only recovers from his injuries but also easily defeats his former formidable enemies.

While Karl can't gain a power-up simply by going to space, consuming kryptonite works the same way. When fighting, he can temporarily consume a kryptonite, just like Superman temporarily going to space to sunbathe, both of which greatly enhance his combat power.

This serves as a kind of insurance, but it remains to be seen whether the dragons can force him to use this kryptonite.

Karl began to approach the inhabited planet, and just as he was about to reach its atmosphere, the dragons on the planet finally reacted.

As soon as the portal opened in front of Karl, several people wearing dragon scale armor walked out. They did not speak to Karl directly, but lined up in two rows in front of the portal to welcome the last dragon.

After the even taller and more ornately armored dragon appeared, one of the dragons began to question Karl.

"Who goes there, daring to trespass into the territory of the Dragon King?"

That's right, the compass D gave her pointed directly to the location of the Dragon King. Since she was going to watch something interesting, she naturally wanted to see something big.

Chapter Twenty-Three: Negotiations Failed

The evil god wasn't so kind after all, sending him directly to the dragon clan leader. If it were an ordinary person, they would have been completely screwed over, although for Karl, this was actually a good thing.

The Dragon King represents the pinnacle of dragon power. If he were to move to this universe, he would inevitably have to deal with dragons in the future. It would be beneficial to learn about them beforehand, at least to give Karl some background information.

Faced with the dragons' questioning, Karl first tried to be polite, then said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to trespass into your territory, but I really had a reason to come."

The younger-looking dragon member said to Karl rudely, "No matter what your reason is, you shouldn't have trespassed on the Dragon King's territory. It's a great disrespect, and you will have to pay the price for it."

His attitude was extremely arrogant, as if he had already figured Karl out of his depths. However, at this moment, an older-looking dragon spoke up: "Let him finish speaking."

The dragon race has a strong tradition of respecting age. Except for young dragons, young dragons are absolutely not allowed to defy older dragons. Even if they are young and somewhat resentful, they can only back down.

“I’ve come for the energy of MA. You once took away all the energy of a planet, which is now on the verge of destruction. So I’m here to take back the energy,” Karl said.

"Is that so?" the Dragon King asked the dragon beside him in confusion.

A dragon approached and whispered, "He's probably referring to the planet where the brain-dead angel lives."

"Oh, that one."

The Dragon King remembered that planet, not because they took away its resources, but because there was an angel on it with a problem with her head, namely the goddess Sally, who was the core of the system.

The Angels are a race that suddenly appeared in the universe one day. No one knows how they were born, but each of them takes it upon themselves to protect the planet. In order to protect their native planet, they will drive out alien races, such as the Dragons.

However, one day the dragons discovered an exception.

There was an angel who survived a magical attack by the supreme god, but seemed to have a problem with his mind. He no longer fairly protected the planet, but only protected humanity. He would do anything to protect humanity, like a rigid machine with a bug in its program.

This story circulated among the dragons as an interesting anecdote, and even the Dragon King had heard of it.

The old dragon snorted and said to Karl, "The people on that planet brought this upon themselves. We have already warned them. If they hadn't been mining Minecraft, how could this have happened?"

Karl had no idea why the dragons could speak so confidently.

Humanity's excessive use of energy will lead to the destruction of the planet. Wouldn't draining the planet dry also prevent it? You're talking like you care about the planet now, but your previous actions clearly only accelerated its destruction, yet you did it without hesitation.

Ultimately, it all comes down to energy.

“But aren’t you also using MA energy?” Karl said.
