This child was conceived by him using the Black Abyss White Flower, so naturally he has the same aura as him.

The Black Abyss White Flower contains the purest life force; if placed in the Age of Gods, it could even rival divine objects like the Golden Apple and the Fountain of Youth.

This child was almost entirely constructed from the power of the Black Abyss White Flower; by the standards of the Age of Gods, he would be a standard demigod.

This can be seen from his appearance. Although he was just born, his skin was not wrinkled like that of a typical baby. Instead, it was smooth and tender like a fine piece of jade. His eyes were also wide open and full of life.

Even more astonishingly, Yanan could clearly sense that within this slender body lay a life force as powerful as a vast ocean.

It is foreseeable that, as long as this child grows up normally, he will become a hero no less than Achilles in the future.

Moreover, he does not possess divinity, meaning that even if the age of gods fades away in the future, it will not have any impact on him.

Even Yanan himself never imagined that he would create such a being.

A true, mortal hero.

Sensing someone approaching, Yanan instantly raised his head and met a face with a smug, punchable grin.

"What do you want to do?" He frowned slightly.

Merlin smiled and pointed to the child in his arms: "You should have noticed it too, this child has the potential to become a hero."

"So what?" A hint of wariness appeared in Yanan's eyes as he turned slightly to block Merlin's view.

"Since they are heroes, they naturally need wise sages to guide them. That's a standard feature of legends, just like the great heroes Hercules and Chiron the centaur," Merlin said proudly. "And here stands the greatest sage in British history, who, in a time of crisis, accepted the late king's commission to mentor a new king. He is deeply loved by all, knowledgeable, virtuous, and kind. Is there anyone else besides me who could shoulder such a heavy responsibility as guiding a hero?"

"Not content with harming one, are you planning a buy-one-get-one-free deal?" Yanan said calmly.

Merlin's face immediately fell, and he argued, "Can the affairs of a sage be considered a scourge?" Then came incomprehensible words such as "it's my first time and I have no experience" and "I'm not human, is that my fault?"

"In short, nothing you say will make a difference. I will never hand this child over to you." Yanan delivered a merciless blow to Merlin.

Merlin said dejectedly, "Then what do you plan to do? You're not going to train them yourself, are you?"

“I do have a suitable candidate on my side, but I’m a little hesitant to meet her right now.” Yanan coughed lightly. “But it’s alright, I’ve already decided who should mentor this child.”

Chapter Twenty-Eight: Sidden

Yanan and the others waited until the peasant woman woke up, and then told her everything about the child.

The farmer, Jona, was bewildered. Not only was her child, who was supposed to be born in six months, born prematurely, but now someone was telling her that this child would definitely become a hero in the future.

As if the experience were still fresh in her mind, she must have doubted that she was dreaming.

"In short, that's the situation. I've destroyed the dragon blood. That stuff is completely useless to the child now, and it will only bring you unnecessary trouble. Keeping it will only cause more harm. Of course, I will give you the money you owe," Yanan said.

Jona shook her head slightly: "Please don't say that, Mr. Yanan. If it weren't for you, my child and I wouldn't have survived. I should be the one thanking you."

"I'm sorry, Ms. Jona. If it weren't for me, you wouldn't have been in such a dangerous situation." Artoria stepped forward and apologized to Jona with a face full of shame.

"You are... Little Al?" Jona was slightly taken aback. When Artoria escorted her home earlier, she felt that the blond knight looked familiar, and now she finally recognized him.

“Altia, you don’t need to apologize to me. If you hadn’t helped me back then, my fate wouldn’t have changed, so you don’t need to feel guilty at all. You, like your teacher, have a kind heart and are a person worthy of respect.” Jona smiled and comforted Altria.

“Thank you for your understanding of Lily.” Yanan smiled and looked at the baby in the peasant woman’s arms. “Actually, I have an idea. Would you like to hear it?”

Jona nodded. "Please go ahead."

Yanan cleared his throat. "I want to find a good teacher for this child so that he can use this power correctly and become a true hero. Of course, if you don't want him to go down this path, then I will respect your choice and let him live a carefree life as an ordinary person."

Jona gently stroked the baby's sleeping face, a tender look in her eyes: "How could I refuse? This child's father always hoped that he could become a respected knight. His birth, and this power, all come from your kindness, Mr. Yanan. I also hope that he can inherit his father's will and this kindness, continue to help more people, and pass on this belief."

“Please believe me, I will definitely not let you and your husband down,” Yanan said solemnly.

Jona smiled, then a hint of worry suddenly appeared in her eyes, and she asked somewhat uneasily, "Mr. Yanan, if you are going to take this child away, may I come with you?"

Yanan paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "Don't worry, Madam, of course you can come along. You are his mother, and that will never change."

Jona breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Yanan."

“You’re welcome, Ms. Jona. Let’s name this child; it’s the most important thing for a newborn,” Yanan said.

Jona pondered for a long time, a troubled look appearing on her face.

To be honest, she never expected the child to be born so early, so for a moment, she didn't know what name to give the child.

“How about we name him Cú Chulainn?” Kai suggested enthusiastically. “He is the son of the sun god in Celtic mythology, a great hero who can fight against thousands single-handedly. He is very symbolic.”

Yanan's face immediately darkened: "No way!"

"Why?" Kai looked at him in confusion.

“Cú Chulainn is a muscle-bound idiot with no brains. Do you really want this child to turn out like that?” Yanan scoffed.

"I actually think he's pretty good," Kai muttered to himself.

“I think calling him Caesar would be good too. After all, he was the founder of the Roman Empire,” Julia suggested.

“I hope this child can forge his own path, rather than become a substitute for someone else,” Jona said, shaking her head.

"How about we call him Sidden?" Merlin suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "These words mean 'a hero who upholds justice' in the ancient Elvish language."

Yanan narrowed his eyes: "Are you sure?"

"You're questioning my knowledge?" Merlin said, displeased.

“I believe you speak Ancient Elvish,” Yanan said calmly. “I’m just not entirely sure if those words really mean the same thing you’re saying.”

"Hey, this is even worse than questioning my knowledge; it's gone too far and involves my character!" Merlin said angrily. "I am the most famous sage in Britain, the kind and gentle magician of flowers. Do you really think I would do such a thing?"

Everyone nodded except for Jona.

Merlin's face darkened immediately, and he said to Yulina, "You're not one of Camelot's people, what are you getting involved for?"

“But…” Yulina tilted her head, “Everyone in Britain knows that the Great Sage Merlin is unreliable.”

"What...did you say..." Merlin clutched his heart, as if he had suffered a major trauma. "My reputation...has it really gotten this bad?"

He sighed, "Looks like I can't let people know my real name when I'm lying from now on."

Everyone: ...

Ultimately, after Merlin's repeated assurances, the child's name was decided to be Sidden.

Later, at the invitation of Artoria and others, Jona agreed to move with the child to Sir Hector's manor, where the child would grow up, and when the time was right, Ananen would take him to a teacher he had chosen for him.

……

……

The deep night enveloped the earth, and Yanan lay on the rooftop, gazing at the bright moon in the distant sky.

"Congratulations, you have finally achieved your goal."

A familiar voice came from the side. Yanan turned his head slightly and looked at Merlin, who was walking out from the fluttering flowers, with his signature smile on his face.

Has anyone ever told you that your smile is irritating?

"Huh? Really? But based on my observation, shouldn't a smile represent friendliness in human understanding?" Merlin stroked his chin.

“That only proves that you haven’t done your homework properly. In human society, no emotion can be suitable for all situations,” Yanan said calmly.

“So that’s how it is. It seems that humans really are the most complex creatures in the world.” Merlin sighed. “And what about you? I can clearly sense that you are not interested in the throne, but I don’t know why you agreed to Al’s request to pull out the sword in the stone.”

Anan fell silent. If at first he was only thinking about pulling the sword from the stone because of the system's mission, then now...

"Perhaps it's because he didn't want to see the entire burden of this nation weighing on that frail shoulder."

Chapter Twenty-Nine: Two Thousand Seals

"I see. It's something only you could do," Merlin sighed. "But do you really know what challenges you'll face once you sit on that throne?"

“Your Majesty Voodoo,” Anahn said calmly.

“That’s only one aspect.” Merlin sat down next to Anahn. “Vortigern inherited the last power of the Age of Gods and became the white dragon, a symbol of calamity, [the final god]. If he conquers Britain, the Age of Gods will be revived, and humanity will once again become slaves to the gods. Of course, this has nothing to do with me, but for you, the King is a mountain that is hard to climb.”

A wicked smile crept across his lips: "How's it going? Feeling a little panicked, like a deer is jumping around inside you?"

Yanan glanced at him: "Spit it out, stop spouting useless nonsense."

“You’re really boring,” Merlin said, pursing his lips. “I just wanted to tell you that I suspect Vortigern might be plotting something. The fact that he hasn’t launched a major attack on Camelot all these years might be because he’s preparing something. But I don’t know what it is. My [clairvoyance] hasn’t been able to see him for the past ten years.”

"I really hope that one day I can hear some good news from you," Yanan sighed.

"That's putting me in a difficult position. After all, I'm the nightmare demon who gives people nightmares. Stealing someone's job is a major taboo in this industry."

"Didn't Camelot send anyone over there to gather intelligence?"

“No, because I didn’t tell them,” Merlin laughed.

Anan frowned slightly. Why hadn't Merlin told Camelot's higher-ups such important information until now?

"Of course, it's to keep a trump card up her sleeve," Merlin said matter-of-factly. "This is a bargaining chip I prepared specifically for Little Al. Just imagine, when everyone in the council hall is dissatisfied with Little Al, if she suddenly drops this information, it will definitely scare a lot of people, which will greatly help her improve her reputation."

Anaen looked at Merlin speechlessly. This guy only cared about training Artoria to become the "Ideal King," and didn't care about anything else. He even used information related to the survival of the country as a bargaining chip.

No wonder that later on, even Artoria, who was his personal disciple, wanted to stab him a couple of times.

I really don't know what King Uther was thinking, that he would entrust the hopes of the country to such a guy who doesn't understand human nature at all.

"Then why did you tell me this?"

“Didn’t you already promise Al to pull out the sword in the stone? In that case, this intelligence is of no value,” Merlin said casually.

"I thought you were going to beat me up or something."

"I'm just a magician with no strength to even kill a chicken, how could I do something so rude?" Merlin smiled sincerely.

"Besides, my goal is to train little Al to become the [Ideal King]. Since we haven't even achieved that goal yet, how can I so hastily reap the fruits of victory?" Merlin's face showed a pleased expression. "And recently I've noticed that my interest in you seems to be growing stronger."

A gunshot flashed, and petals flew everywhere.

"Hey, don't be so irritable. After all, I just gave you such important information." The flowers gathered again not far away, and Merlin walked out from them with a dry laugh.

Yanan snorted coldly, and the Black Abyss White Flower in his hand turned into black and white light and disappeared.

"You lost to me in the competition back then and promised to do something for me. You haven't forgotten, have you?"

"Of course, I am a wise and virtuous sage who keeps his promises. Just tell me what you want me to do, and I can even knock Guinevere unconscious and send her to your bed without any problem," Merlin said confidently.

A few black lines appeared on Yanan's forehead: "Thank you for your kindness, Great Sage. I will definitely try my best not to laugh when you get beaten to death."

"You just said that smiles aren't appropriate for all occasions."
