"Diana, aren't you going to help?" Wanda moved closer to Diana, watching the horrific battle on TV, and asked Diana with some concern.

Even Pietro couldn't help but express concern for the few familiar figures on the New York battlefield. Among them, of course, was that flamboyant figure in gold and red.

Although they still treated Tony with indifference, they now understood that the hatred wasn't directed at Tony, but at the guys who used him. A small knot still lingered in the two boys' hearts, but that didn't mean they weren't worried about the guy who kept calling himself their godfather.

“No, at least not now.” Diana shook her head.

She is not like Superman, nor can she become the Night Knight.

She didn't want to give anyone the wrong impression that she would help them if any problems arose, even if it was just a cat stuck in a tree. Otherwise, who knew what kind of trouble those guys might cause later, and then call her with a pager or a high-powered searchlight to solve their problems?

Then I realized that what I was doing was perfectly normal.

Now, Diana was simply waiting for a phone call, a call from Maria Hill. Once that call came in, she could make her move.

Wanda nodded as if she understood, and Pietro also quieted down to watch TV.

Despite the extraordinary dangers in New York right now, for those reckless journalists, whoever gets the biggest story will undoubtedly be a strong contender for the Pulitzer Prize.

So even in the current situation, there are still a large number of journalists in New York who are risking their lives to report the news.

At this moment, those guys who had foolishly entered Manhattan were completely panicked, frantically trying to avoid the crowd on the streets like headless flies.

At this moment, they no longer had the same fearless look they once had, and they no longer cared about who they used to believe in.

Now the only name they mention is that guy.

"GOD".

That is, their God.

Perhaps some of these people really do possess some special ability, or perhaps they are truly useful to that guy whom I've never really remembered. Now, not only has a Chitauri wormhole appeared in the sky above Manhattan, but a huge, silvery-white, holy halo has also materialized.

Yes, holy.

This was everyone's first impression upon seeing that thing.

"Do you know what that thing is?" At this point, Tony could only ask the Asgardian prince.

Thor shook his head; he had never seen anything like it either. After all, his lifespan was still too insignificant compared to the universe.

There are many things he doesn't know, and he only found out last year that he has an older sister, who is also a very powerful one.

"Then you're a god?" Tony said with some disdain, casually blasting away a Chitauri who was trying to sneak up on him with a palm strike.

Thor calmly answered Tony's question: "I am a god of Asgard. Outside of the Nine Realms, you Earthlings basically know everyone I'm familiar with. Is it strange that I don't?"

Similarly, Mjolnir summoned a bolt of lightning that slammed into a Leviathan.

"Something's coming out!" Rhodes, who had been busy clearing out the Chitauri, also caught a glimpse of the creature emerging from the silvery-white halo.

Silver-white armor, pure white wings, and a long sword gleaming with flames in his hand.

When the Ancient One saw these guys, she was stunned. These guys were supposed to have been completely sealed away by the Asgardian god-king, or even banished from the World Tree, so how could they be here?

“Angels came to our rescue.”

"She really is an angel!"

"We're saved!"

.....

Those people were shouting loudly, after all, who could actually see an angel with their own eyes?

Now they have seen it.

In their view, angels are there to deal with the "demons." The demons, of course, are the Chitauri, who are ugly and disgusting in appearance, and are therefore regarded by them as demons from hell.

It's only because Morpheus didn't know that, otherwise he would have taken all these guys away by now. He, the old Mexican, wouldn't even look at the Chitauri.

“Things are getting interesting.” Diana sat calmly at home, completely unconcerned about any strange new characters appearing in New York. “New York is really full of talented people, even though Arkham isn’t here.”

Even if some hellish character were to appear in New York now, Diana wouldn't be surprised. After all, this is supposed to be a peaceful and safe city; how could it be called peaceful and safe without such characters?

The most excited people were not those who might be protected by angels, but the Vatican in Europe.

Those are angels! They are valid evidence of God's existence!

Isn't there any way to prove that the God they serve for life exists?

They will become God's agents on earth, the shepherds. They will regain their former glory, and all will bow their heads before them and kiss their shoes.

Otherwise, be careful, or an angel might come down and burn you at the stake, you heretic!

Even the descent of angels had no effect on the normal invasion of the Zitauri, and did not even stop them for a moment.

Gods and angels are nothing but snorting Thanos's farts!

Among the angels flapping their wings in the sky, the leader took a deep breath of the air on Earth.

"This filthy world needs a real cleansing!"

Having said that, he raised the long sword in his hand.

Now, the angels have descended!

Chapter 116 Tony Prepares for Unparalleled Success

New York has become the focus of the world, but no longer because of an alien invasion, but because of those bird-people with pure white wings.

In other words, they are beings that are basically recognized as angels.

After all, people now place their hopes on these angels to completely wipe out the ugly Chitauri.

But when the angels raised their swords and charged into the crowd, no one knew why or how things had turned out this way.

The angels did not target the evil ones, but instead wielded their swords against the humans who revered them.

"My angel! Why?"

"Don't kill me!"

"You should be killing those guys!"

.....

The angels wielded their butcher's knives, utterly ignoring the cries of those who perished beneath their blades. They simply raised their swords and felled, mercilessly reaping the lives of those so-called lost sheep.

The once pristine white wings were now stained with specks of blood.

Meanwhile, the silvery-white halo in the sky continued to emanate, with new angels constantly flying out from it.

The superheroes are in a bit of a mess right now; nobody could have predicted things would turn out this way.

Before the Chitauri could be dealt with, a group of angels arrived who killed on sight.

While the angels do kill the Chitauri, it's clear that only those who confront the angels are killed. The Chitauri understand that as long as they don't fight the winged bird-men, they won't be considered enemies. Besides, the Chitauri's goal is simply to cleanse the planet; why wouldn't they want someone to help them?

Therefore, in Tony's eyes, aliens and angels were clearly distinct, and neither of them had any intention of provoking the other.

They are single-mindedly wielding their knives against humanity.

No one cares why angels would do something so abnormal to humans.

All they could do was try their best to stop these guys, even if it was like a mantis trying to stop a chariot.

"Captain!" Tony called out to Steve.

The only person here now who has ever commanded operations like this is this veteran who actually participated in the war.

Without hesitation, Steve began to plan the battle. Although the opponents were different this time, as long as one could be killed, it was a normal war.

Steve looked at the two wormholes now looming in the sky, but they were short-handed.

There was absolutely no way to deal with such a large number of enemies.

Furthermore, due to the Chitauri's deliberate avoidance, there is currently no way to bring the Chitauri and the angels into direct conflict.

"Roar!"

Hulk was still jumping around on the building, holding a chick-like angel in his hand, which he smashed into the Chitauri Leviathan.

The birdman was turned into a pile of mincemeat in an instant, and Leviathan was also reduced in height by Hulk's heavy hammer and slammed into the moving building.

Hulk had no other thoughts at the moment; his only idea was to smash these guys to pieces.

No one has any concerns about Hulk's condition. Hulk's only role in this battle is to smash.

You can smash anything as long as you don't attack your teammates.

At a time like this, who cares about the quality of the building or the potential condemnation later? The most important thing is to drive these guys off the face of the earth.

"Tony, you and your friends go and hold off as many of those soldiers coming out of that black hole as you can. Thor, unleash your strongest lightning bolt on those birdmen! The rest of you, clear the ground!"

Steve, shield in hand, began attacking the fallen Chitauri and continued advancing towards the area attacked by the angels. He wasn't just looking to eliminate the Chitauri; those birdmen would pay for their actions!

Tony flew back to his building and had Jarvis prepare a suit of armor that had been refitted with weapons. This suit of armor was now completely devoid of any weapons or equipment.

"What about mine?" Rhodes landed next to Tony, his armor having long since run out of weapons and ammunition in the battle.

“Ready.” Tony hadn’t forgotten that, and a brand new suit of armor rose up beside him—Rhode’s War Machine.

"Sir, it's Ms. Diana calling."

"Connect." Tony answered Diana's call as he began changing his clothes.

"Want to do it again?" Diana said to Tony seemingly out of the blue, but she was absolutely certain that Tony would understand.

"Is it okay?" Tony ignored Rhodes' wink and gestures. After all, if the context were different, not only Rhodes, but even Tony would think that what Diana said was inappropriate for children.

But in this situation, Tony naturally thought of the protective barrier of divine power he had used when facing General Ross. He was even somewhat excited, completely ignoring his friend beside him whose expression was changing.

"Just wait." Diana hung up the phone immediately.

"Tony, didn't you say you'd turned over a new leaf?" Rhodey was also quickly changing into his armor, but that didn't mean he couldn't tease Tony a bit.

Tony had already put his armor back on and stood on the launch pad, saying to Rhodes, "Pepper and I are serious, so don't make wild guesses. Most importantly, don't be envious later."

"how is this possible?"

Rhode didn't find anything about Tony that he envied; he even had his own armor now. Aside from not having a proper girlfriend, what else could he possibly be jealous of?

Hmm, I am indeed a little jealous of dating Diana.

But then he saw a thin golden film covering Tony's armor.
