"Pepper, I think I need to head back to New York." Tony truly lives up to his reputation as a modification maniac; he even managed to turn the island where we were on vacation into a vault of armor.

Pepper was one of the two guys who saw the fight in downtown New York City around the same time as Tony. To be honest, Pepper really didn't want Tony involved. The destructive power of those two was already enough; if Tony went, he'd just become a metal can, not Iron Man.

“I know it’s hard for me to persuade you not to go, but you can’t get involved in that fight. It’s not something you should be involved in.” Pepper was just telling Tony. The two of them had only been dating for a short time, and she didn’t want to see Tony become disabled because of a fight.

Tony flashed a bright smile at Pepper before the visor closed, then activated his armor and soared into the sky.

"Jarvis! Call Diana."

"Yes, sir."

Tony started calling Diana as soon as he took off. If she were still in Manhattan, she shouldn't be ignoring this. Right now, there's absolutely no reaction in Manhattan; it's as if what happened was just some kind of "free shopping event."

That was two superhumans fighting in New York.

This is no small matter. Doesn't she care at all? There are so many civilians at the scene; there's a high risk of casualties.

"Tony, what's up?" The call went through quickly, without even a few rings of busy signal.

Hearing Diana's voice reassured Tony somewhat. After all, being able to hear Diana's two little ones laughing heartily was proof that Diana was still at least in Manhattan.

I didn't go out to do anything.

"Hulk and the protagonist of Point Break are fighting. Aren't you in New York? Go stop them, or help the civilians trapped on the battlefield." Tony's thinking was clear. Although he didn't know why Diana didn't pay attention to the two superhumans fighting in New York, he knew that the civilians caught in the battle were definitely innocent.

"Are you flying to New York now?" Diana stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window in her living room, from which she could not only enjoy the beautiful view of Central Park, but also see the commotion in the distance. "You must be having a hard time. You just got together with Pepper, and you haven't had enough fun yet, have you?"

“That’s about right, but now’s not the time to chat. What about New York?” Tony asked.

“You should be glad it’s Christmas, and the guy who caused all this wisely chose a place with relatively low foot traffic.” Diana’s eyes could see through the gaps between the buildings that the people affected by the fighting were being evacuated by the NYPD to safe locations.

"Someone's causing trouble??" Tony really couldn't understand what these people were thinking. It's Christmas, why not just stay home and watch some family-friendly movies on Hallmark Channel?

Although it might make those little black guys unhappy, it's still better than blindly walking into the battlefield of superhuman warfare.

“I think your satellite should be able to capture images of those guys.” Diana said, even though she couldn’t see the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

However, when Banner explained that the girl he was going on a date with was a red-haired woman of Russian descent, Diana was certain that this was something S.H.I.E.L.D. was up to.

But shouldn't this kind of honey trap be implemented slowly and gradually?

How did it suddenly turn out like this?

What is S.H.I.E.L.D. doing? Why are they in such a hurry? They even sent out Odin's foolish son. Unless they're in a real rush.

Tony on the other end of the phone didn't speak; he was looking at the guys Jarvis had circled in the satellite photos. Especially that car—it was practically a secret agent's vehicle.

Chevrolet Suburban.

"Well, someone really is up to something." Tony could only sigh helplessly, wondering why these agents liked driving things that looked so suspicious.

The FBI is the most prominent example.

Now S.H.I.E.L.D. is doing the same thing; I guess they drive these kinds of cars to easily impersonate the FBI.

“You’d be better off turning back and spending a happy Christmas holiday with Pepper,” Diana said calmly. “I don’t think your presence would make any difference.”

Tony felt a little touched by what he heard, but he hung up the phone without saying a word.

Superhumans are awesome!

But Diana would tell him that, in many cases, superhumans are indeed amazing.

For example, the group of people who are now getting involved in the battlefield, a group of mutants.

What is this? A Christmas extravaganza?

Almost the entire X-Men team was mobilized; aside from the wheelchair-bound old man who had to stay home, the rest were all here.

Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Cyclops...

"Interesting," Diana smiled, now somewhat interested in seeing the battlefield. After all, this was the first time she'd witnessed the cosmic OdeX operative getting involved in such a mess.

"Diana, here you go." Little Wanda handed Diana a refreshing glass of lemonade, curiously following Diana's gaze, but unfortunately saw nothing.

"What are you looking at?"

Diana took the lemonade from the little witch. She had to admit that the little witch was quite good at making things like this, except for soup. "It's a big show. Go to the living room and watch TV. You should be able to see the news reports."

"I just don't know if it will be as good as watching it live."

Pietro, who had been listening intently to the conversation between the two girls, one big and one small, suddenly became interested. How could a pig like him not see such a grand scene with his own eyes?

He hadn't witnessed Diana's battle with that man before, so this time he'd get to see it for himself.

“You’d better stay put, Pietro. Otherwise, I wouldn’t mind tying you to the Christmas tree and lassoing you with the truth.” Diana didn’t look away at all, and she could roughly guess what Pietro was thinking, whose breathing had suddenly become a little rapid after hearing her and Wanda’s conversation.

I don't know if I've shocked this kid so much that he keeps wanting to go to places like this.

Is that something a little kid like him can go in and see? He hasn't even fully developed his superpowers yet, and he's already thinking about causing trouble.

Isn't this just plain courting death?

"Oh," Pietro could only reply sullenly.

There was nothing he could do; he couldn't outrun her, he couldn't fight her, and even his own sister was now on Diana's side. He could only keep his own little schemes to himself.

At this moment, the western part of Queens, New York, near Manhattan, has basically become a battleground for these two guys.

The X-Men, who had just been airdropped in a modified SR-71, were somewhat bewildered by the battle scene before them.

"To be honest, I've seen big scenes before, but is this something that two guys could pull off?" Wolverine Logan said, puffing on his cigar, somewhat incredulously.

In the past, mutant fights were always spectacular. But that was only because there was someone to create the spectacle; otherwise, it would have been impossible to put on such a grand show.

What's being presented to them now isn't the kind of thing that can be done by people with connections.

It was entirely caused by the two guys using brute force.

Scott, as the leader of this X-Men team, was now at a loss: "Aurora, go up in the air and distract these two guys. Hank and Logan, get ready to get into the fray. Colossus, hold off that big green guy. Shadowcat, drag the guy with the hammer to the ground. Kurt, take me to a safe place. I'll give them a big one."

With Cyclops Scott's deployment in place, all the X-Men members began their missions in an orderly manner.

Logan just shrugged, but still seriously began his operation.

The two fighters were completely unaware that a small squad had quietly arrived at their battlefield.

Thor swung Mjolnir with all his might and slammed it heavily into Hulk's belly.

Hulk was no pushover either. Although he didn't have any fighting skills, his beast-like combat instincts allowed him to return the blow by Thor's hammer while simultaneously kicking Thor.

Both of them were sent flying at the same time.

Only Mjolnir remained, landing in the center of the field.

"Pfft!" Hulk spat out a mouthful of saliva mixed with a little green blood.

Thor, looking disheveled, emerged from the first floor of a building. His kick had turned the entire first floor into ruins.

Hulk stood up, and Mjolnir returned to Thor's hands.

But it's clear that someone is starting to disrupt the fight between these two guys.

A violent wind began to rise, and a white-haired woman was summoning a storm from above, drawing the attention of both people. It was Storm, Ororo.

"It might hurt a little, but bear with it!" A silver-white Iron Man charged into the battlefield, heading straight for the Hulk.

Hulk never expected that he would be given a different opponent at this time, but it was no problem for him.

But Thor couldn't stand it. "We were just getting into the swing of things, and you've taken my opponent away."

Thinking about it, he started to spin Mjolnir in his hand, but his feet suddenly went light, as if he were stepping on water, and Toll instantly fell into the already messy road.

That's right, all he's left now is his head, and his hand holding Mjolnir's, outside on the asphalt road.

"what?"

A petite figure crouched down in front of Thor's head: "Stay here."

It was Kitty Phantomhive from the X-Men.

Toll didn't know whether the guy in front of him was an X-Men or a Y-Men. He only knew that these guys were definitely up to no good and had taken away the opponent he finally had.

Hulk isn't doing too well either.

Although Colossus has no chance against Hulk, the guy is a lump of metal.

Not to mention, there are two little guys helping this Iron Man to give him a righteous beating.

Logan's claws, made of adamantium, were indeed capable of easily slicing through Hulk's tough skin.

"Roar!!"

Hulk roared in pain, trying to grab the bastard who had scratched him with his claws, but was blocked by another guy covered in blue fur.

Colossus, on the other hand, held Hulk firmly in place, doing his best to make it difficult for Hulk to exert his strength and prevent him from throwing his most powerful punches.

The three of them continued to wage a war of attrition against Hulk.

Ororo in the sky could only watch these guys fight, completely unable to contribute. Ever since lightning stopped obeying her, all the damage she could inflict was on a large scale; neither storms nor blizzards were clearly suitable for use in urban areas.

Now I can only hope that my teammates finish the game soon.

"Hey!" A somewhat flippant voice rang in Ororo's ear.

Ororo turned around and saw the gold and red Iron Man suit; it was Tony Stark who had arrived at the scene.

He had already scanned the entire western part of Queens. The only thing to be thankful for was that when Hulk and that guy started fighting, S.H.I.E.L.D. had already evacuated the surrounding people.

This gave the NYPD a buffer period to evacuate quickly.

As for those who refuse to believe it, or those who dream of "buying for free," the NYPD doesn't care anymore.

So be it, he's dead.

Although Tony cares about ordinary people, it doesn't mean he's a saint.

But now, people are ganging up to beat up their own friends, that's unacceptable!

Tony didn't give Ororo a chance to speak at all, blasting the woman away with a palm strike.

After all, this woman was wearing the same uniform as the guys who were beating Hulk.

"Tony, I'm here." A familiar voice came through his armor.

"Rhodes?"

"Now call me War Machine!" A black Mark III appeared beside Tony, the very suit Tony had given Rhodes.
