Tony could only stop paying attention to the matter.

Vanke, lying on the ground, suddenly spoke: "You will fail, you will not win."

Before Tony could react, he noticed that the steel soldiers around him suddenly moved, and their target was naturally him.

Diana, standing to the side, was clearly not included in Vanke's calculations. She wanted to take revenge on Tony, but she chose the wrong way.

Tony didn't care what tricks Vanke had up their sleeve, but this was clearly not a good place to fight. There were just too many people at this press conference; any problem would be a disaster.

"Looks like your press conference was a bit of a farce," Tony remarked, surprisingly finding the time to tease Justin Hammer.

Justin was so startled by the sudden scene that he scrambled off the stage.

At that moment, a large number of special forces soldiers carrying live ammunition suddenly poured into the area around the venue. High-power sonic weapons were even set up around the area, aimed directly at the people on the stage.

"Looks like we've been tricked," Tony said to Diana quite casually.

“A fool paired with a politician with ulterior motives, what a perfect match.” Diana calmly surveyed the surrounding facilities. “These guys seem to have experience with this kind of situation.”

The surrounding military forces were clearly on high alert, ready to use extreme force to suppress the two men at any moment. There were even extra personnel evacuating people, perhaps because they had something they didn't want others to know.

These people did not make any major mistakes when faced with this situation.

"This guy was probably let in on purpose too," Tony said, glancing at Ivan Vanko lying on the ground. "For the Arc Reactor, and also to kill me? What good would killing me do them?"

Diana shook her head: "They don't want to kill you; you're a wealthy American. They want me. I've always been curious where they get the courage from?"

"Maybe it is, that thing?" Tony looked at the several large figures that were slowly appearing behind the group.

Similar to the large green creature currently in their own base, these new things are a size smaller than the Hulk, but they are clearly the kind that are easier to control.

It won't get out of control like the Hulk and the Abomination.

It has to be said that the current situation really does have a sense of déjà vu, like a battle against a supervillain.

This time, however, Diana herself became the target of the attack.

Among the people tasked with the operation were numerous miniature Hulks.

Chapter 84 The Gamma Legion and the Golden Chainsaw

Diana was actually quite curious about these smaller versions of the Hulk in front of her. She had clearly used her lightning to cleanse every possible place where Hulk might have bled during that battle, leaving no trace whatsoever.

So, where did these guys who are now appearing in front of me come from? That's the question.

But there are always people who can answer this kind of question, like that old guy in military uniform who slowly walked over.

"I thought he was in jail?" Tony was clearly surprised to see the old man here. After all, this was the mastermind behind the battle in Harlem, New York.

Thaddeus E. Ross.

"Can you tell me how you escaped punishment? I think I can learn from that in the future," Tony shouted at General Ross. This method of easily escaping punishment did indeed have some merit.

Diana glanced back at the guy who seemed extremely interested in the question.

Tony chuckled awkwardly: "In case any guy ends up in jail in the future, we can use this as a reference."

Shaking her head, Diana turned her gaze back to General Ross.

General Ross clearly had no desire to communicate with these two men: one had taken away his most cherished experimental materials, and the other was the one who would send him directly to a military court.

Even if we can't kill Tony Stark here, we should at least keep that woman here.

General Ross's confidence in keeping Diana here stemmed from his numerous miniature Hulks. While not as powerful as the Hulk, their sheer number and ease of control made them a formidable force.

"Attack!"

With General Ross's order, the battle that the soldiers had rehearsed countless times began.

"Om~"

The sonic weapons were activated instantly, and the continuous high-energy sonic attacks struck Diana directly. Numerous sonic weapons bombarded Diana relentlessly without pause.

The steel soldiers of Hammer Industries standing nearby had already been torn to shreds by this attack.

The man who should have been Tony's nemesis, Ivan Vanko, was also destroyed in the aftermath of this attack, leaving only a pile of blood and flesh.

Normally, even Tony's Iron Man suit should not have been able to withstand such an attack, but General Ross did not want to kill this American super genius and avoided Tony's location.

Only Diana is currently confronting these sonic weapons head-on.

However, Diana simply stood there quietly, without even taking a step back. There was no sign of pain on her face; she simply looked at General Ross with a calm expression.

General Ross paid no attention to Diana's gaze. In his view, Diana now only had two possible fates: to be captured alive or to be killed.

What harm is there in letting a woman, destined to be a prisoner, take a few more glances at her?

"Increase the power." The command was concise, but General Ross was clearly dissatisfied with the current attack, which was proving completely ineffective against Diana.

At General Ross's command, the sonic weapon, already operating at full power, was pushed to its limits to deal damage. The sole purpose was to break Diana's defenses.

The aftershocks of the attack were already reaching Tony.

"Ah!" Tony, who hadn't felt anything before, suddenly felt a tremendous force destroying his armor and body.

Diana, who was attacked head-on, simply raised her hand, and a golden light enveloped Tony, ensuring that the mustachioed man wouldn't die here because of this farcical incident.

But Diana still didn't look away. This excessive sonic attack only made Diana's long black hair fly wildly in the air, and had no other effect.

While all the sonic weapons were operating at overload, General Ross's soldiers set up several large machine guns ten meters behind the sonic weapons.

"Are you crazy!" As a former arms dealer, Tony naturally knew very well what kind of machine gun General Ross was currently fixing.

The M134 Minigun is a common sight on American military helicopters, small boats, and light combat vehicles. General Ross brought here a machine gun specifically designed for high-intensity warfare.

Although it was clear that this thing was of little use to someone like Diana, who was beyond human comprehension, any stray bullet from it could potentially take the life of a lucky individual.

Ross clearly didn't care about what Tony said and just kept staring at Diana.

When a machine is running under overload, it is destined to come to an end.

A spark suddenly flashed across the body of one of the sonic weapons, rendering it incapable of launching any effective attack. When one weapon malfunctioned, the others began to experience similar failures.

General Ross's first line of defense thus turned itself into a pile of scrap metal.

"shooting."

The general clearly didn't want his smaller, green-clad army to make their debut too early. Inflicting even the slightest damage or fatigue on Diana with their current forces would be a huge advantage for the later stages of the war.

The six muzzles of the M134 spun continuously, spitting out beams of bright yellow bullets that formed a laser-like barrage.

Diana simply conjured a divine shield, tightly protecting her chest and preventing any bullet from possibly hitting her.

But no matter how the machine guns attacked, they couldn't make Diana take a single step back, or even cause her to suffer a scratch.

When the last bullet was fired from the chamber, the one-minute-long storm of metal finally came to an end.

General Ross waved to the little green chubby guys beside him, indicating that this was now their battlefield.

"Roar!!"

The smaller Hulks, who had already transformed, roared and charged towards Diana. But beside them, the soldiers who had been wearing military uniforms also began to let out those ferocious roars and transformed into large green figures.

Yes, it's still a smaller version of the Hulk.

The swarming Hulks clearly only had eyes for Diana. The little, shimmering gold thing beside her didn't interest them at all.

Tony even saw the 'Hulk' giving him a clearly disdainful look, which was completely unacceptable to him. But after witnessing the devastation in Harlem, Tony knew that his current armor was nothing more than an expensive gold-titanium alloy coffin.

“So…” Tony looked up at the source of all this, General Ross.

Iron Man then became a golden streak of light, rushing towards Ross with a trail of flames.

Tony aimed his palm cannons at General Ross in mid-air, his voice coming through the Mark 6's visor to General Ross's ears: "Stop your actions now, General. This is a serious threat to public safety."

"A citizen?" General Ross looked at Tony as if he were a fool. "In what ways do you think that woman would be a citizen of the United States?"

Tony was not bothered by General Ross's question at all; he simply continued in a deep voice, "Now, please stop your actions immediately, or I will take drastic measures."

"To me? Even if I'm not a lieutenant general in the U.S. Air Force now, I'm still an extraordinary advisor to the military. What right do you have to stop my actions?" General Ross has always looked down on second-generation rich kids who rely on their family's legacy. No matter how smart Tony is, he still dislikes such people.

“Then there’s nothing to talk about.” As soon as Tony finished speaking, he rushed towards General Ross.

But the next moment, this previously somewhat thin old man began to swell as if he had been injected with a growth hormone. Through the torn fabric of his clothes, one could see that the scarlet color was spreading across General Ross's body.

"Another big guy." Tony wisely decided to turn and leave.

But sometimes, coming is easy, but leaving is hard.

General Ross, transformed into the Red Hulk, leaped up and hugged Tony tightly, then began to exert his strength.

"I was going to let you go, but you're asking for it, so don't blame me." A gleam of intense pleasure emanated from his bloodshot, ferocious face. "Is this the power of the Hulk?"

"It's so addictive."

Tony, who was being held by Red Hulk, was about to shout, "I'm doomed!" But he found that he was perfectly unharmed by Red Hulk's strong embrace; the thin layer of golden light completely blocked all harm.

Even Red Hulk, or General Ross himself, couldn't accept what he was seeing for a moment.

"Hey big guy, give it a little more pressure. I want to see just how strong this thing really is... Wow~" Just as Tony was about to ask Red Hulk to test the intensity of the golden light on his body, Red Hulk had already taken action.

Grabbing Tony's foot, they began an extreme sport that Tony would never forget.

Tony was repeatedly slammed to the ground, and even used as a shot put by Red Hulk, who grabbed him and began to rotate his arm to gather strength. In the end, the gleaming gold can he was dragging was thrown several kilometers away.

Tony shook his head. The sliding and sliding motion he'd experienced earlier had only left him slightly dizzy. It was purely from the disorientation caused by his inability to control his direction.

"Now, Tony Stark returns to the battlefield." Tony also had a clear understanding of the golden aura surrounding him. In a word: indestructible.

Looking at the long trench he had created by sliding and dragging himself across the ground, Tony could only shrug and wait until the battle was over.

Tony transformed into a golden humanoid missile and hurtled straight toward the direction from which he had been flung.

Rewind to when Tony went to talk to General Ross, while Diana was facing a group of 'Hulks'.

"They're actually better looking than that yellowish-brown abomination," Diana even commented on the appearance of these little Hulks with great interest.

The little Hulks had no interest in listening to what this woman had to say, and they punched Diana with their fists.

The ground was shattered, but there was no trace of Diana.

When the little Hulks looked up, they spotted their target, who was watching Tony and Red Hulk with great interest.

This annoyed the little Hulks, who leaped up to pull Diana back down from the air.

Just as a mini-Hulk was about to grab Diana's foot, Diana raised her leg high and struck the mini-Hulk directly on the forehead with her heel.
