“They might just be following you!” Thor chimed in from the side.

“Barton also made the decision to help Captain Protect Bucky.” Nick Fury nodded. “Barton is my most loyal agent, and I believe he wouldn’t protect a real criminal.”

"Could Bucky saying to Black Panther, 'I didn't kill your father,' be because of this?" Coulson chimed in.

"Someone killed Black Panther's father, and that general mistook him for Bucky?"

“That’s possible!” Nick Fury agreed after a moment of thought. “The captain called that Black Panther ‘Prince,’ so the one who died was the King of Wakanda!”

"The murder of a king, even if he is from one of the poorest countries in the world, is enough to alarm a general. This makes logical sense."

“Although I don’t quite understand why the Winter Soldier is Captain America’s good friend Bucky, the Winter Soldier has been a ghost for fifty years,” Black Widow added. “If he really assassinated someone, the chances of it leaking out are slim.”

"Rogers mentioned five other super soldiers and some kind of psychiatrist. Could it be related to them?" Thor asked.

This remains unknown to everyone, as the footage reveals very little information.

"So what we can do now is keep an eye on the King of Wakanda and prevent him from being killed in the future?"

Black Widow glanced at everyone and said.

"No, I must get Bucky out of here right now!" Captain America said resolutely. "The general wouldn't misunderstand Bucky for no reason; someone must be framing him! I can't let this happen!"

Nick Fury immediately felt a headache coming on.

He had originally planned to keep a close watch on the Hydra secret base that he had finally managed to discover, but now it seemed that this was no longer very likely.

Captain America would never sit idly by and wait like this.

Chapter 096 The Agreement to Restrict Superheroes

The group discussed it briefly, but because the footage was limited due to the civil war, there really wasn't any good way to prevent it.

"Barnes killing Black Panther's father was the direct cause of the Civil War, the spark that ignited it. But the root cause of the Civil War should be the 'signature' that the captain mentioned."

After the discussion about Barnes had subsided, Black Widow spoke again.

"Captain said that the Avengers had already begun to split when Stark decided to 'sign'. So the question is, what exactly did Stark sign?"

"And what is it that the captain refused to sign?"

Black Widow's words plunged everyone present into deep thought.

"The general directly ordered Stark to arrest Barnes, which is not in accordance with established procedures. Could it be because Stark signed off on it?"

"Stark signed some kind of agreement, so the general has command of the Avengers?"

Nick Fury said with a gleam in his one eye.

Those around them nodded in agreement; judging from the facts that had been presented so far, it was indeed possible that this was the case.

"We already know that the captain refused to sign the Sokovia Accords, so will this be the same agreement that I sign in the future?"

Iron Man asked in a deep voice from the side.

"We don't know for sure right now, but we can't rule out the possibility." Captain America thought for a moment and then nodded.

"It is highly likely that the Sokovia Accords were reached after the Avengers went there to fight Ultron."

"We don't know much about Ultron, but he's someone that requires Vision and the Avengers to team up to defeat."

"We've already seen what Vision is capable of. Even he needs to team up with the Avengers. I can hardly imagine what level Ultron is."

"Similarly, I can't even imagine what level of war the battle that took place in Sokovia was."

Nick Fury continued his narration.

The superhero civil war we just witnessed clearly demonstrated just how terrifying the combat power and destructive force of enhanced beings can be.

That was under the condition that the superheroes held back because they were on the same side.

You can imagine the magnitude of the Sokovia War.

"A war of that magnitude would inevitably attract the attention of the entire United States and even the world. Under such circumstances, it is only reasonable for the top leadership to introduce an agreement to strengthen control capabilities."

Nick Fury spoke to everyone in a deep voice.

As the director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Nick Fury has a thorough understanding of the ins and outs of the matter, and therefore can accurately predict how various agencies will operate and react.

No country would allow a group of enhanced individuals to act arbitrarily without any control.

That's simply impossible.

Because every enhanced individual is a huge threat, the higher-ups must have absolute control over them.

In the beginning, when the powerful individuals didn't cause much of a stir and weren't taken seriously by the world, things were a bit better.

However, once those with enhanced abilities attract the attention of higher-ups, corresponding policies will inevitably follow.

There is no doubt about this.

The difference lies in the corresponding policies.

The people present weren't fools, and they quickly grasped the meaning of Nick Fury's words.

"So we can conclude that the agreement is very likely the Sokovia Accords, or at least some restrictive agreements on superheroes."

Coulson then summarized the findings.

There was no objection from anyone to this; after all, agreements have various clauses, which are naturally restrictive.

It's not like we can just give superheroes all the power to do whatever they want.

The fact that Iron Man and his team obeyed the general perfectly illustrates this point; everyone present knew what kind of role the general played.

"Stark actually signed it, that's really surprising." Black Widow couldn't help but glance at Iron Man.

Given his lawless, willful, and arrogant nature, he's probably the least likely person to sign any agreements.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me in the parallel universe, but I definitely won’t sign any agreements!” Iron Man said firmly.

No matter what kind of agreement it is, once you sign it, isn't that like putting yourself under a constraint?

Only a fool would do that.

“Who knows?” Nick Fury said meaningfully.

[Question: Air Force One was bombed by militants, causing thirteen passengers to fall into the sea. Who saved them?]

A. Thor

【B. Scarlet Witch Wanda】

C. Iron Man, Tony Stark

【D. Ant-Man Scott Lang】

[Friendly reminder: Those who answer correctly will receive a T-800 liquid robot as a reward;]

Those who answer incorrectly will have one attribute of their own deducted randomly, including but not limited to knowledge, experience, skills, possessions, etc.

After a brief discussion, a new question appeared, and everyone temporarily refocused their attention on it.

However, many people's expressions changed immediately.

Because Air Force One is the official aircraft of the President of the United States!

The destruction of Air Force One by militants means that militants attacked the President of the United States!

The fact that a country's president was attacked by armed men on his private plane is a major event that cannot be ignored by anyone except Thor.

Regardless of who the mastermind is, they have become so arrogant that it is outrageous and abhorrent to both gods and men.

"An airplane? What's that?" Thor was completely bewildered, and after a moment of thought, he realized, "Is that your Earth's spaceship?"

“You can understand it that way!” Nick Fury nodded, then solemnly addressed everyone, “I’m just as surprised as you are, but let’s ignore the background of this question for now and analyze the question itself.”

"Thirteen passengers fell from the sky into the sea. At that height, the sea was no different from hard steel."

"If they really fall, they will surely be smashed to pieces."

"Air Force One was attacked by militants, and the location of the bombing was random, which means it was impossible to deploy corresponding controls on the sea surface in advance."

"In other words, one of the options has the ability to save those thirteen people in mid-air."

Nick Fury took the lead and spoke eloquently in front of everyone.

Chapter 097 Who Gets a Seat on the Presidential Jet

"Let's first look at who among the options possesses this ability!"

Captain America glanced at the options on the big screen. "A, Stark. He can fly and can go into the air to rescue people."

“But he can only save one or two at a time!” Black Widow shrugged and added, “It’s impossible for him to save all thirteen people in such a short time.”

There's generally no disagreement on this point; Iron Man can only carry one person in each arm at most, two people at most.

By the time those two people were rescued and brought back to the surface, and then the ship turned back, the others would probably have already fallen to their deaths.

"He can actually fly?" Thor glanced at Iron Man with a surprised look on his face. "But Rogers is right, being able to fly isn't enough in this situation."

"So we can rule out Stark?" Coulson declared definitively, then turned his gaze to Thor. "Thor, what about you? We don't know much about your abilities. Could you have saved all thirteen people in that situation?"

"Wait a minute!" Before Thor could answer, Iron Man suddenly jumped out. "You guys ruled me out way too quickly!"

“Stark, they’re right. In such a short time, you can only save a few people; it’s impossible to save them all,” Nick Fury chimed in, echoing everyone’s opinion.

"Your thinking is too limited. If it were me now, I certainly couldn't save them all, but this is something that's happening in the future!"

Iron Man solemnly corrected everyone's statement, "My armor is constantly being upgraded. No one can imagine what capabilities my armor will have in the future!"

"So, although I don't know what kind of armor I will build in the future, the possibility of rescuing thirteen people exists!"

Everyone looked at each other, and for a moment, they couldn't really come up with any objections.

After all, Iron Man is truly a genius. He didn't stop after developing one suit of armor in his lifetime; he continuously upgraded his armor.

This is evident in the images.

The armor used in the Battle of New York was clearly more advanced than the current armor, and the armor used in Endgame was even more astonishing.
