“Captain, you’re overthinking it.” Nick Fury couldn’t help but shake his head and chuckle. “Pierce is a mentor and friend to me. He taught me a lot, and he’s the one who promoted me to the position of Director of S.H.I.E.L.D.”

“Sounds like Pierce is your good buddy,” Iron Man chimed in.

"...I know him better than any of you, and I believe he's not that kind of person." Nick Fury ignored Iron Man's sarcastic remarks and continued speaking to Captain America.

"However, he did arrest me!"

Captain America didn't readily believe Nick Fury's words, instead shrugging. "Didn't you say the quiz system predicted the future? In the future, it did indeed target me."

"I think the only reasonable explanation has already been given to us by the quiz system," Nick Fury said leisurely, glancing at the large screen.

Chapter 053 Nick Fury is dead!

Following Nick Fury's words, Captain America and Iron Man turned their attention back to the options on the big screen.
