Author's Closing Remarks + New Book

This book was published on August 18, 2021, and finished on April 30, 2022. It took a full eight months to write. During those eight months, I only took three days off at the end. I never took any leave at other times. I think it's right that I didn't take any leave for eight months.

Regarding the issue of many people saying that the project was abandoned.

I admit that I cut the subsequent plot, and cut it drastically. The Fox God Continent part was supposed to be a separate volume, and the split of the Heaven Dou Empire was supposed to be a separate volume as well. The scene of the Body Sect eating fried rice with eggs mentioned in the synopsis was also in that volume, but I cut both of those volumes.

The reason for cutting the Fox God Continent volume was simply because many readers didn't like the Sun and Moon Continent volume. Writing another almost original continent would only make things worse, so it wasn't worth it.

As for the part about the Heaven Dou Empire... it's simply because I don't want to put in the effort to plan those kinds of brain-burning plots, like palace intrigues and coups. It's too much work and not worth it, so forget it.

I've left some clues, consider it leaving room for interpretation, let your imagination run wild.

Cutting the plot doesn't mean a bad ending. I gave all the characters the best possible ending, and even the ending is a complete happy ending. The last part was something I had already planned from the beginning of the book.

So if you say I've ruined the ending, I won't accept it.

This book started with 200 initial subscriptions and has now reached an average of 1180 subscriptions per day. I am personally very satisfied with this result. After all, it was just a practice piece. I made a lot of stupid mistakes and wrote a lot of bad stuff in the early stages. The pacing was terrible and the beginning was a disaster. It is quite remarkable that it has achieved this result.

After all, there aren't many books on Qidian that can achieve an average daily subscription rate five or six times higher than their initial subscription rate after completion.

Of course, I'm just bad at it, so my starting number is too low.

I initially said this book would be two million words long, and I kept my word.

What? You're asking me why it only shows 144 million characters?

I probably won't be writing any more Douluo Continent fanfics, as for food-themed slice-of-life stories...

It depends on the situation.

If I don't have any new book ideas in the future, I might just write one or two of these mindless slice-of-life stories to earn some royalties.

The new book, "Beast Tamer," is an original beast-taming novel without a system or female protagonist.

This is a brief introduction:

Having written a book, I won't repeat the same mistakes I made.
