The seven giants looked at each other, but ultimately chose to believe their 'savior' and ran towards the warship!

……

This is the alternative for CP9.

There are no middlemen, Carmelo.

They just built up their own favorability with the giants!

There's always a way to make things work out.

Peslow, who had gone ahead, was indeed going to seize the ship, but as soon as he boarded from the corner and before he could even knock out any of the marines, his expression suddenly changed.

"Figo?! What are you doing on the ship?!"

"Ah, I ran into a little trouble and came back for a visit. What brings you here?" Figo smiled and asked Peslow casually.

Peslow was speechless.

A complex mix of emotions flashed through his mind: confusion, anger, and speechlessness. He even considered knocking Figo unconscious, but ultimately restrained himself and could only tell Figo the 'truth': "The World Government has no real intention of executing the giants."

We were originally going to cooperate with a nun so that she could devise a plan to save the giant pirates, gain the favor of the giants, and act as a bridge between our World Government and the giants to recruit giant marines!

But for some reason, the nun didn't show up, so we had to change our plans. Fortunately, the giants hadn't seen us; the two of them had disguised themselves as passersby and kidnapped the giants, while I had come to seize the ship and 'rescue' the giants!

"Commander Figo, I hope you will cooperate with the World Government's actions. Disembark immediately and enjoy a long vacation on the island. I will knock out the marines on board and continue our plan! Once the dust settles, a ship will come to pick you up and take you back!"

Figo, however, was 'utterly shocked'!

"You mean a nun? Is it a pretty nun with long, curly blonde hair?"

Peslow was taken aback: "Huh?"

Figo frowned and questioned, "It really is her! What kind of partner did you choose? That woman is a robber who attacked me for no reason!"

Peslow: "...And then?"

Figo pointed in the direction of the cell.

"They're locked up inside."

Peslow snapped: "I'll f*** you!!"

Chapter Fourteen: The Arrest of Peslow

calm.

He didn't seem to do it on purpose.

The task is urgent.

Peslow hesitated for a moment, then couldn't help but lower his voice and ask, "Why would she attack you for no reason?!"

Figo: "Fine, I'll be frank. I have my own purpose for coming here. A great pirate in Impel Down, wanting to suffer less, revealed the location of a treasure trove on Kokushima Island."

"I came to retrieve the hidden treasure, but that nun, greedy for money, tried to cheat me and then attacked me."

So that's how it is? Knowing Yamaba's greedy nature, it's not surprising he did something like this. Damn it, this is a crucial moment in our cooperation; of all people to mess with, why did he have to provoke this guy?

However, Figo's explanation did put him at ease. The World Government hadn't informed the Navy of the details of the cooperation this time because they were worried that some Marines who were staunchly committed to justice would oppose cooperating with Yamanbagana, the human trafficker... Although the World Government didn't need to consider the Navy's opinions when making decisions, it was always better to avoid trouble.

Figo's behavior can be considered an abuse of his position for personal gain. He doesn't seem like an absolutely righteous person, but he is somewhat easy to communicate with.

"I understand, Warden Figo. I'll handle the nun's situation. Now, please go to the island; the giant pirates will be here soon!"

Figo paused for a moment, then asked, "I have another question. I sensed a villainous aura about that nun. She smelled like some of the notorious pirates in Levels 5 and 6 of Impel Down. Where did you find her? Didn't you investigate her?"

Peslow frowned: "This has nothing to do with you, Warden Figo!" It seems that the woman, Yamaba, must be executed secretly and cannot be allowed to live.

Figo looked somewhat disappointed, then suddenly unbuttoned his shirt and pulled a Den Den Mushi from his pocket.

“Moshi moshi, moshi moshi. Marshal, things have suddenly developed like this, what should I do next?” he asked.

Peslow: ? ? !

The Den Den Mushi on the warship that can communicate with headquarters? When?

Why? Is he trying to trick me into revealing information?!

"The Seven Giant Warrior Pirates were captured at the cost of over a hundred elite marines from our Marine Headquarters." The authoritative voice of the Fleet Admiral came through the Den Den Mushi: "We cannot let them go so easily!"

Peslow exclaimed urgently, "Your Excellency Marshal, this operation was personally ordered by the Five Elders!"

"I will personally explain to the Five Elders. Figo, you did a good job. Next, go and capture all seven escaped giants. Mobilize the marines and escort them back the way they came," the Fleet Admiral added.

“I understand,” Figo said. “What about the three CP9 members?”

"Hmph, let them have a vacation on the island!"

Peslow: "Marshal Auerbach?!"

"If it were just this kind of operation, you wouldn't need to keep it so secret. What is the identity of the nun who was captured, and what is the real purpose of your operation? Do I need to ask more questions?"

Peslow turned pale and was unable to argue any further.

Figo smiled and said, "Okay, I understand. I'll hang up now, Marshal."

"Excuse me, Peslow, please disembark and leave now." Figo then said, bowing his head and stuffing the Den Den Mushi back into his pocket.

Peslow's body trembled slightly.

Damn it, how could it have turned out like this!

Sacrifice? What's a little sacrifice compared to maintaining the World Government's long-term stable rule? Aren't you afraid that the giants will cause even greater chaos and more sacrifices?

The mission cannot fail like this!

Anger arises from the heart, and evil thoughts spring from the gall.

He looked at Figo, who was standing in front of him with his head down placing a Den Den Mushi, and suddenly raised his right arm!

Bang!

A swift, sharp chop struck Figo's right temple with a powerful, stealthy blow!

Hit!

Just go to sleep!

The screen froze for two seconds.

Figo frowned, slightly raised his head, still looking down at Peslow, and asked, "What are you doing?"

Peslow: ? ? ?

He checked his hand and confirmed that it was indeed the right spot on his body.

Now look at Figo, who is fully conscious.

What's wrong with this guy...?

Figo looked down again and took out the Den Den Mushi once more, saying, "Moshi moshi, Marshal, are you still there? Peslow hit me."

Didn't you...you hung up?!

Peslow was instantly drenched in cold sweat. There was a two-second silence on the other end of the Den Den Mushi before the Admiral's voice, which sounded like he had a headache, came through.

"Let's bring them all back together, but don't reveal the specifics of our operation."

“I understand.” Figo looked up.

Peslow felt a chill run down his spine and quickly dodged backward, but Figo's hand struck his face first—boom!

The irresistible force sent Peslow crashing sideways into the ship's deck with a deafening roar!

The sailors on board were all alarmed.

"what happened?"

"what happened?!"

"Who's there!"

"Warden Figo, is there an intruder?"

They quickly surrounded them.

Because the three CP9s had stayed in their cabins since boarding, with Shaw personally delivering their meals and keeping their whereabouts secret, the sailors only vaguely knew of these three men during the voyage, but had never seen their faces. Now that Peslow had changed clothes and was being held down on the deck by Figo, he was even less recognizable.

Figo then said, "Hmm, it's probably the nun's companion I captured. Go get another set of chains and tie this intruder up."

Under his grasp, Peslow clenched his fist in hatred, then slumped down and gave up resisting.

Soon, Peslow, who had been locked up, was taken by Figo to the same cell as the nun. After giving the marines a few words, he went to meet the giant escapee.

At the same time, a new page was turned in his prison file, now bearing Peslow's image!

[Prisoner: Paislo]

[Rank: SR2]

[Status: Detained]

Crime Index: 11

[Participation rate in the arrest: 100%]

[Optional Benefits: Shave, Stealth, Assassination]

[Character Events: Can be activated]

"Crime index 11?"

If this level of crime occurred in Impel Down, Figo would whip him twice, but Peslow isn't a pirate; he's a CP9 member.

The intelligence agents under the World Government are used to doing dirty work, so it would be strange if they didn't have any crime index. For Peslow, 11 points is not high. At least his descendant Rob Lucci, who is many generations removed, definitely has a much higher score!

Figo was concerned with something else.

If it's only 11 o'clock, then the death of Kevin the Giant's daughter should have nothing to do with him, right?

So, all they know are clues?

Figo, thinking it over, activated Peslow's character event to make a confirmation.

Several images flashed before my eyes, looking strangely familiar.

Figo pointed towards the cell and said the nun was locked up in that cell...
